Vocal Coach Reacts to Adele Singing LIVE on SNL *2020*

yo what's good tristan today we're gonna be reacting to adele singing on saturday night live dude i'm excited for this i'm so freaking happy that she's back before we get started be sure to check me out instagram twitter tick tock let's just jump into this so she did a skit on saturday night live probably can't be reacting to the entire skit so i found a compilation of somebody who cut out only the singing and so we're gonna check that out let's go baby i'm so excited season of the bachelor and this time he's 5 11 and a half and hi i'm adele atkins i'm 32 you may know me for being the singer adele i'm here because i've had a lot of heartbreak first at 19 and then sort of famously at 21 and then even more famously at 25. but i have a really good feeling about being k it's only night one you know i can already tell he's going to be the next she's so pretty hennessy wait well giving it to hannah c let's go this is awesome i heard that you settled down [Music] [Music] she is sounding amazing i remember very vividly years ago my channel was much smaller i was a lot crazier but i remember very distinctly when she unfortunately heard her voice those many years ago and was very open with it didn't have to be most singers when they do hurt their voice they aren't just being real with you guys i remember all the vocal coaches at that point in time were like oh my god her technique her technique is so bad that's why she hurt her voice because she has horrible technique and at the time that was a popular thing for vocal coaches to say and do on youtube speculate on people's medical health which is kind of ridiculous to me because your voice can actually get damaged for a number of reasons one of which could probably be being one of the most successful singers in the world and being on tour and having to sing on a very regular basis in addition to radio shows in addition to personal life stuff in addition to honestly anything else anyway without going into too much detail on that because that's a huge can of worms and that's a huge topic that we could talk about in the future her voice sounds so good she has done such a good job taking care of it and bringing it back to life she sounds just amazing you're pretty amazing too in fact i'd guess i'd sort of say oh we're singing again yes what does that mean you sound like a song okay thank you we met today let me also say it is not easy to go from speaking especially in like a skit straight into singing at all speaking doing a skit remembering your lines and then straight into singing it's not an easy thing to do but that being said she sounds freaking fantastic oh oh no uh can we just talk why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself [Music] [Applause] after all these years you'd like to okay adele no yes go away i wouldn't worry about it why because she's back i can see her in the bushes i'm going back really good vowel change on oh by the way does she do that in the original song i don't even remember if she changes her vowel in that specific way but she does a really good job changing her vowel here from outside she sings bush and not uh this book can you hear that because that gives it a very distinct flavor um on her belt so that it's it's a little bit restrained and it's not full force in your face obviously both ways could have worked just fine i'm sure she could have pulled it off either way but i like the artistic choice he made there i'm going back into the mansion if it works out it works out hi can i steal him for a sec there's a fire starting [Music] okay i'm a huge fan but i don't feel safe with her here it's it's crazy to me how she's able to sing with so much power in her voice and have it sound so good her overall volume is relatively pretty loud so it's crazy the things she's able to do with it see you're coming back yep here she is okay uninvited but i couldn't stay away i couldn't fight it i'd hoped you'd see my face that you'd be reminded that for me the way that she sings her low notes is super oh my god i love hearing her like this so she's in this like fuller louder space right and so to sort of tame that she adds air onto it so let me see if i can find a good example where that happens it isn't over it is an over right if she were to fall out about that it isn't over so she kind of takes that same energy but she just adds breath to it but it isn't too loud because if you sing too loud with too much breath it can be a bit unhealthy it is like choking on sand but it isn't over i love that i love that sound from her oh my dude i i've just missed her i just honestly missed her so much [Applause] [Music] it's always these little cracks that she adds in everywhere [Applause] she sounds better than ever instead thank you everyone catch me next week on love island dude it's another very important lesson here as well damaging your voice obviously sucks and it's something that you want to avoid and honestly the best way to avoid it people always ask me the best way the number one tip that i can give you is to go to an ear nose and throat doctor on a regular basis especially if singing is something that you're super passionate about important investment if it's possible for you to do that because they're the ones that are going to be able to actually look at your voice physically and tell you if what you're doing is okay or not but the number two thing is okay worst case scenario you do get vocal damage you can still recover it's not the end of the world a lot of really really really good singers have had vocal damage at some point in their careers but have come back from it and been better than they were when they got the damage in the first place obviously you want to avoid the damage anyway she has done such a good job of taking care of her voice doing whatever she needs to do behind the scenes and making her come back slowly and making sure that her voice is in a very strong place i know that she works closely with voice specialists medical voice specialist and so i am pretty confident that she's gonna come back and she's gonna do a really really really good job but she just sounds absolutely fantastic and i hope to hear way more from her because i would love to go into more detail about her voice because her she is just one of my favorite singers ever got to be real with you guys but anyway hopefully
