Hello, I'm Cristopher Broyles. I am a
Caucasian male with brown hair and a beard. I am wearing a button-up shirt.
I lead the accessibility-compliance team for VMware. The Accessibility program at
VMware uses many best practices every day to create a more inclusive workforce
for everyone. This video will highlight the investments we have made in our employees,
customers, and partners with disabilities including how we ensure that our products
are accessible and usable by everyone. Here's what we've accomplished so far and
how you might help us to do even more. VMware has created a Power of Difference
group that is dedicated to supporting an estimated 3,000 VMware employees with
disabilities. We encourage all employees to use this employee resource group like this
to connect with one another, exchange ideas, and provide support as they navigate their
roles and careers at VMware. As a member of the Valuable 500, our executive leadership
has put disability inclusion on our business leadership agenda, complete with Board
visibility. And VMware’s score on the Disability Equality Index also know as the DEI, a key
benchmark that measures tangible actions toward disability inclusion, recognizes us as one of the “Best
Places to Work for Disability Inclusion.” Those accomplishments are earned through strict
compliance with laws like the Americans with Disabilities Act, and through auditing procedures
for our products and internal tools to ensure that they comply with the Web Content Accessibility
Guidelines 2.1. At VMware, we view accessibility as an ongoing journey across our 140+ products,
it’s not something that’s one and done. We document our journey by way of our publicly
available Accessibility Conformance Reports and by our articles on our public-facing accessibility
blog. And with your help, we can ensure more inclusive experiences for all of VMware’s
customers, partners and employees. Please share your comments about the accessibility of
our products, as well as how the changes have impacted your experience when using them.
Use the link to the accessible form to our website. It routes to my team and you’ll
have a direct impact on the accessibility of our products. It’s an open channel
for communicating with us. This form is available at https://www.vmware.com/help/accessibility.html
All feedback is welcome. We’d love to hear from you. Together, we can help create inclusive
environments for everyone. The links shared in this video are available in
