Why are certain areas blocked off? Closed doors? You can’t enter every stateroom?

Do women have maids and men have servants and valets? Why are they gendered like that?

Were the hallways for staterooms that narrow? They seem very narrow to me.

I didn’t know that single men (only 3rd class?) were segregated from women and families. Huh. Why was that?

And the 3rd class areas also seem darker. Less lighting?
