hey guys really quick before the video starts I'll be doing stand-up in these cities on these dates so come out come see me come meet me chill laughs and just [ __ ] vibe all right see you there enjoy the video hey guys welcome back to a very really good podcast this is episode 89 I'm your ghost Curtis Connor whoo I'm a ghost I'm a scary little ghost you better let go idiot I'm a scary ghost throw a beer at me it'll go right through me and that is the way that ghosts drink beer that's the way ghosts drink beer that's the way that ghosts drink beer hey my washing machine is so loud can you hear it hopefully not this microphone is supposed to block anything that comes out on the other side it's only supposed to hear things that go right into it so I should be good people who are watching the the video podcast I'm wearing my own merch I got my [ __ ] Curtis Town had on my Curtis Town toque or beanie however you guys [ __ ] call it you know I'm gonna close this close this door really quick one second okay hopefully has a little better um but yeah man we're here man it's [ __ ] 89 episode 89 we're almost at 90 dude and then after 90 it's a hundred and that's [ __ ] crazy what a time oh excuse me oh what a time dude what a [ __ ] time to be alive [ __ ] man it's been busy I just I just finally I got finally got back from tour on Friday it is Monday right now so I've been home for two whole days and it feels [ __ ] good man it feels really good to be home I was missing it a lot I missed it more than you know I want to say more like I don't even know I felt like I was like [ __ ] I really want to go home like usually when I'm touring on tour you know I'm like yeah being was nice but this is fun and I felt that the same than this store but for more like I felt it's strong stronger you know I don't know why I feel like because after the last tour I was only home for like a week and I had to leave again so it's nice coming back and knowing that I'm here for like another month I'm I don't have another show until like the third of April which is really nice I'm excited to actually like actually sitting down at my desk in working and editing felt so [ __ ] good man felt awesome I was excited to do it I was like I got a video I got a finish I'm a [ __ ] do it and I did it in a day man felt awesome I felt really good to just be at home go grocery shopping dude make coffee in the morning and not have shitty hotel lobby coffee don't get me wrong man I [ __ ] love touring I love the shows I love them so much they're a great time but you know I'm a I'm a creature of habit you know I like having a routine I like waking up you know making coffee making breakfast you know sitting here doing my work film and [ __ ] you know I like it it's comforting it makes me feel good okay but the tour was fun thank you to everyone who came up to the shows it was a good time we went to and already forget st. Louis two shows there that was fun st. Louis we had two shows and I remember looking at the site and being and the first show was at 4 p.m. but I didn't know that okay yeah okay yeah yeah we did the show I put the tickets on sale I didn't look at the site I was like yeah here's here's a link go get them we sold out show sold out there's a lot of [ __ ] Curtis town citizens who are living in Saint Louis so shout out st. Louis but yeah we went there and the first show sold out and then manager called and he was like yeah we the venue wants to add a second show you down I'm like yeah sure that's on the same day that'll work fine he was like okay cool we're doing an early show I was like okay cool and then I looked at the the thing the site and then it said 4:00 p.m. and I was like oh that's okay that's weird how are they gonna add an early show if the show that's already sold out is just so goddamn early right so they did that so we did a show at two o'clock we did a stand-up comedy show at 2 p.m. in the afternoon and I've got to say very weird the first time I've ever done that um you know I mean it wasn't a darkroom you know it's like a comedy club room so it is you couldn't really tell there's no windows you didn't know what time it was so it could have been like 9:00 p.m. but the same time like me knowing in my head that I that it was like the afternoon it was very weird right it's not supposed to happen right it's like going to a rave during the day the Sun is out and you're like oh [ __ ] I'm I can't feel my face you know it's a weird thing because stand-up comedy and raves are the same right as the exact same thing dude if I had a dime every time I went to a stand-up show and I was like and I turned to the person next to me and like this rave is awesome man and they're like shut up what are you saying this is a comedy show and I'm like hey man you call it that I call it this we're all just here on this big ball this big rock in the center of the galaxy and I'm because I'm so [ __ ] high cuz I think it's a rave Liam and it was really weird also because you know when I do when I go onstage I like bringing a big glass of white wine with me you know it kind of makes me more comfortable it kind of eases my nerves that I do have and it makes me feel like a phantom phantom a phantom of the comedy club no it makes me feel like a fancy handsome little woman and that makes me feel good okay it makes me feel like a fancy handsome like a like a widow but I'm not like that sad about it you know like I'm but yeah my husband died but I'm not that broken up but like maybe I did it or not like who knows that's what I feel like that's what I want to feel like when I go on stage and do stand-up comedy and that's what I felt like ma'am and it was good but - two o'clock in the afternoon drinking a glass of wine and then at 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon drinking another glass of wine it's day drinking essentially is what I was doing I was day drinking but the crowds were fun you know um crowds were really awesome man like really [ __ ] fun st. Louis was the only all-ages show and you know I get nervous about that because you know my you know people my fans are usually like you know younger out of the age of you know like 20 and stuff but we had some 18 plus 21 plus shows and they all [ __ ] yah showed out the you know people are they showed they showed up they were awesome crowds that a good time but you know what Denver I got a [ __ ] bone to pick with you man Denver I got a [ __ ] bone to pick with you guys I love Denver okay when we were there for Danny and drew tour had a blast okay had a great time I love Colorado I you know you guys you got weed there it's cool you guys are a cool place but dude that crowd and I know before I [ __ ] talk [ __ ] there's only like a group of like a few people who I got who I'm upset with in that crowd okay for the most part [ __ ] awesome time everyone was down they were [ __ ] down and have a good time they're laughing they're nice they're supportive there's [ __ ] there to have a good time and that's what I [ __ ] like do that's why I really like but man some people the people in the back were there's two people in the back who were just so [ __ ] high the people at the event you had to tell them several times like hey can you shut up like there's a guy on stage you know there's a guy on stage saying stuff that he wrote that he worked hours and hours on if you could just let him say that then that'd be great and then you can talk when the show is over but there is talking yelling [ __ ] you know so obviously [ __ ] Denver crowd there's gonna be some [ __ ] high stoned people but but yeah man I did get a lot of tweets afterwards you know apologizing for the crowd being like I'm sorry this isn't what Denver is about world if it were good people trust me and I'm sorry that people were you know chirping and stuff but you know ma'am it's all good happens you know it's gonna happen it's not the first time it's not the last time but Denver if I ever go back there you better [ __ ] smarten up all right but I did get to make the Denver I hardly know her joke so that's good and so it's all even it's all fine but yeah we celebrated Jenna's birthday she came with us on the tour which was good it's nice to have you know a normal human being on the tour to kind of keep us in check which is very good she had a blast we celebrated her birthday in Omaha Nebraska the birthday capital of United States of America that's not true but we had a blast we [ __ ] we went for it dude we really went for it the night before her birthday when it turned midnight we were in Des Moines we [ __ ] we went after it we boozed pretty hammered and then the next day we're like yeah well we approve or deny twe r not gonna do it again and then we did it again he was like in home alone it was like in home alone too you know we were all drinking and then we got super we got super messed-up we're super drunk and then we all at the same time we all turn to each other at some bar we all turn to each other we're like we did it again you know when they realized they left Kevin I'm gonna pull it off really quick just you guys know that the scene that I'm referring to okay okay there's a heartbeat for a Volkswagen ad hey relax you're a car here we go okay so they slept in it's noon they turn to the camera and scream dude home alone two best Christmas movie of all time I'll say it there it is there's the [ __ ] tea there's the Christmas tea dip your [ __ ] Christmas biscuits into that tea and drink it okay Santa Claus is coming in me ass okay he's coming home alone - dude what is it what is it what is it about number twos that are so good right [ __ ] right number two home alone - good Tony Hawk's Pro Skater - the best one arguably spider-man - the best one arguably there's got to be more right Jacob two-two a great show because he had the word - twice in it remember that show Jacob - too [ __ ] too much sauce right a great song patek philippe you plan you're going to my show you know best song is only good because it has it word - in it that's so stupid there we go dude comedy podcast [ __ ] man what's going on dude oh we got [ __ ] people are freaking out about this coronavirus huh people are really losing their marbles over it all right and I've been pounding Coronas back all stupid joke it's not even funny stupid dumb dumb and lame but it's all good you know many people are freaking out and I did the worst possible thing you could do during a a you know an outbreak like this I traveled the country which are very populated cities and got a big group of people in the same room and met a bunch of those people and shook their hands and hug them instead so yeah I've been doing everything they've been telling you not to do but it's fine you know I'm feeling a I got a little bit of a runny nose and a cough but it's a [ __ ] March man it happens I get I'm sick all every all winter all the time you know [ __ ] Cheers of that dude no man I mean like I feel like people are freaking out a bit too much over it like more people die from the flu every year right so like what's the [ __ ] why is that one free every time I open Twitter and I go to like moments you know like the desert or discuss whatever [ __ ] tab that is to like find the things it's just like coronavirus here's an update more people are dead okay well can we stop talking about it you know maybe it'll go away maybe it's one of those diseases that thrive off conversation okay that's why it's spreading so much because everyone's talking about it they talk about it they go karna virus and as soon as they say it they're spitting stuff if you're all to shut the [ __ ] up we'd be fine if you ought to shut your goddamn mouth we'd all be fine okay that's secure to everything is silence dude shut up that's me that's me is that that's dr. the on the [ __ ] fifth Orlando [ __ ] perfect dude I'm going to Universal for my birthday and that's that and that's that as simple as that I'm going to Universal Studios or Disneyland hmm that's the doesn't matter but some business executive was like well Americans don't know what philosophers are but you know what they do know Americans know sorcerers and I know that for a fact because I'm an insane businessman and I call the shots here right dude corporate dudes are [ __ ] insane right I'm at the [ __ ] that people get away with like it's weird that like if I were to have like a sitcom if I'd ever like a sitcom I'd have to like do the sitcom and like in front of like a bunch of like executives that like some [ __ ] if I did like if I did like a NBC sitcom I'd have to like do an episode in front of the the higher-ups and have to be like actually can you change the whole thing I know you wrote it about this kid who he's in math class this kid who's a math protege and they hit that he's now working for the for NASA because he's so smart but can you change it to a band it's about a dog who can fly you're like well that's not no the shows about it's about a kid who works at NASA because he's really smart you know it's kind of like a like Mike of NASA if you will and they're like no fly dog do fly dog show make fly dog show make me laugh fly dog dogs don't fly make the dog fly for me and you're like okay well if that means I can have a job writing and making a show then I'll do that okay thank you bye make fly dog if I come back dog don't fly you die you know like Jesus Christ you know there's always just like some [ __ ] corporate dudes were like no we should use that the amount of times that like I was working at Starbucks or something where I like just didn't agree with how [ __ ] how things worked how things did it cuz I'm the one who has to do them it just all that happens because it's some [ __ ] dude at corporate was like no they gotta do that you're like well you you don't have to do that so you of course you can say that there's better ways to do it easier ways to do it Hunter no man I just pray to God that I never become one of those one day if I'm at some by the grace of God I still have a career in the entertainment industry in like ten years more like 20 years where I'm still like you know making stuff and I have a say and like what is made and like you know anywhere you know I hope they got a much like whoa whoa can we do Flying Dog but did dog wings where the dog wings though I need dog wings I need the feathers on the dog I need dog feathers I need dog to fly over my head I want to see the dogs balls go over my head if I don't see a dog dick fly over my head I'm done okay I'm done I ain't quit you're fired I quit and then I I'll quit and then fire you even though I have no jurisdiction I have no way of doing that but you know what maybe I will be that man maybe that we all become that person when we're older because we just fought we just were fed up you know I'm already sort of [ __ ] fed up with [ __ ] I'm 25 dude crazy but know what god it's [ __ ] scary to think about what I'll be doing in 20 years man who knows dude who knows that's so [ __ ] scary to think about so I'm not gonna think about it okay because it stresses me out all right and that's that I do stress though I do stress all the time we all do thought that like I went through my head this might be sad but I have this thought that like we went through my head you know after tour was done and like I have I had this new bit that I'm trying to fit into the set and like trying to work on and be better so I was like yeah maybe when I get back to Toronto you know I'll like go to an open mic or something and like try it um but then I started thinking about um you know just going to that open mic and then and then like people like knowing who I am and you know [ __ ] being like oh whatever it's just the is just a [ __ ] YouTube guy or you know or not knowing who I am and then me doing really poorly because after doing a bunch I don't know man it's just like after doing a bunch of shows that go really well for people who like you it's tough to you know if that you start to wonder if it's like oh is do they just think I'm funny because I Know Who I am you know do they oh she don't actually enjoy like if they just didn't know who I am at all like would they even like me but and you know I think that's I think everyone would really every artist every person who does you know performance I'm sure you feel that way right um I I just always felt like I was in I don't know it's it's tricky it is very tricky because you know I I try to not give a [ __ ] what people think about me but god I do oh my god I do I think we all do right you're insane if you don't know I all [ __ ] I don't care and thinks of me if actually if you actually thought that you actually thought you like no one care he thought about you you'd like you go just walk outside [ __ ] naked did you walk outside with just your [ __ ] dick hanging out or your boobs hanging out right if you truly people who say that if next time I know ones like hey I feel like that's never gonna go away but actually a really cool thing in Denver you know this was good dent this was a cool thing Denver there was people I played at The Improv in Denver which is can't believe that sentence just came my mouth that's [ __ ] crazy I played The Improv and I guess like people who were you know who wanted to come to the show well no they just wanted to see a show so they're like we'll go to the Improv see who's playing and they didn't know who I was and the only tickets left were VIP so they all bought VIP meet-and-greet take hits and I went to like go say what up and like shake their hand and everything take a photo with them and they're like hey we actually don't know who you are and I was like I thought I was a bit at first and I was like oh that's that's funny yeah I don't know who you are either you know it's um but they're like no really like we we just like want to see a show like um and these you only take his life so like we're like my sister flew in from [ __ ] Minnesota to see me we're like wanted to do something tonight so ever seen his show and I was like oh [ __ ] well okay cool I hope I hope it's fun and I saw them laughing a few times in the audience man so like that made me feel really good and when you know when people who are you know it just it just feels good knowing that you know people that's one example that you know I don't have it's people who don't know me still think I'm funny and good and it makes me feel great so whatever we take those moments when it when they come and we appreciate them you know the best we can and but yeah still so crazy that I was just like hey I perform at the improv and like a [ __ ] casual thing like that's [ __ ] crazy there's like actual comedians I just did the whole thing like hyping myself up and then I say a minute later like we know there's actual comedians there but no it's cool man did a show at the [ __ ] uh I think was that funny bone or helium I don't know one of the comedy clubs and Bryan Callen was there like the night before me huh beg your pardon it's a real guy it's a real [ __ ] comedian man it's just really cool makes me feel [ __ ] this is like literally what I've been dreaming of for years and it's happening man so I [ __ ] appreciate you guys thank you oh dude when we were on tour my [ __ ] tour manager he my slash slash merch guy slash driver sometimes I don't and recent [ __ ] homie he's awesome he's blast he he adopted a dog dude when we're on tour and it was a corgi puppy we got it at a gas station in Omaha Nebraska sounds sketchy but it wasn't but it was from there's old lady who had a bundle itter of corgis I guess he got them and dude it was excuse you know it goes in tight phone those [ __ ] [ __ ] how cute that [ __ ] dog was like literally fit in my hand all the whole dog fit in my hand smelled like like ass like smelled like absolute ass like it smelled like if an old steak farted I gave an old piece of steak that you left out in the Sun for a while farted that's what this dog smelt like cuz it was just new and it just [ __ ] [ __ ] everywhere pissed everywhere it was just like it hadn't been bathed yet I don't think but it was so cute so cute slept in my arms [ __ ] saw that and I was upset I was angry I was angry about it I was like how dare this dog be so [ __ ] adorable you ever feel that way when something so cute you get pissed off right it's every morning when I'm a gonna wake up and look in the mirror did haha a year you know I wake up in my off I'm so tired I walk in the bathroom you know take my morning Dookie and I look in the mirror like oh right [ __ ] I look like that alright I'm [ __ ] adorable how dare I look so [ __ ] cute all the time I get pissed off I wake up I start every morning pissed off just staring at a [ __ ] mirror like dude I want to kill you you're so cute it's brutal it's a brutal life I live man someone's gotta do it oh man but yeah man we went to we got the puppy we got the the puppy and we and then we went to some [ __ ] farm store because our driver our tour driver our bus driver Doug and I got a do an episode with Doug I really actually no I don't this stuff he would say is I feel like he'd get me [ __ ] ruined in a second he says the craziest [ __ ] man he's just he's this man from Texas he's he drove on the Danny drew tour he drove the bus there and then like when I started doing shows and tours we just like hired him to do those as well but he's one of a kind he trains tigers and elephants and monkeys he was on he was on episodes of Barney he trained animals on Barney he [ __ ] he was trained animals an Ace Ventura to trained everything animals in like Prison Break and [ __ ] like he's just like he's trains animals he's like learning how to he drives buses he's just he does so many things and he's such an interesting man but he bought like shots for the dog like you know where you go to the vet to get them he just bought them from this farm store that we got that he found and he just did the shots himself cuz he's a [ __ ] jizz he's like yeah I can do it animal I trained hundreds of these I'm professional done did it so fast dog didn't even [ __ ] know what happened dude it's crazy man imagine having that that many [ __ ] skills like like he's got it if I wish you guys could all [ __ ] meet Doug he's a [ __ ] he's a beauty he's he's he's truly one of a kind and just like so nice to us all the time just like yeah you guys going off drive you from drive here drive you there whatever you guys want helps out with like meat and green [ __ ] we didn't have to just like the best guy I did but yeah also says the craziest [ __ ] just all the time but he's great he's a good guy imagine it's like yeah just like there's some dudes who are just like like it's like my stepdad like before he you know before he had as a stroke last year he could just like do anything right he's like I had to be like yeah I am I just bought a TV like a few years ago like I told him I was like yeah I just bought a TV I'm gonna try to figure out how to mount it on the wall he said I can do it I'll be over this weekend I can put it up he's [ __ ] just so easy right built this [ __ ] thing in my mom's house built a [ __ ] deck he would like right out blueprints and [ __ ] he liked making why he's like set up cable and [ __ ] like dude imagine being that [ __ ] talented I can the only thing I know how to do is like edit a video that's all I can do and like I don't know cook eggs I [ __ ] I done really I am very good at making breakfast food I'll say that hey man if you want to [ __ ] in if you want a nice soft scramble or a poached egg and also me to film and edit a video about that easy dude done [ __ ] I'll have it to you in it in and probably a bit so I get distracted easy but I'll get it to you at some point all right that's all I can do and I can like play video games that's it I'm a I'm a I'm honestly I'm I feel like like I'm just like a smooth like cylinder just trapped in a man's body you know just a smooth cylinder and a math textbook that doesn't do anything right you know you know those problems or it's like find the area of this cylinder and you're like what is this right it's not a can it's just a gray cylinder all right it's a gray cylinder and you're like what even this is for there's no there's not even any lid there's it's hot it's not hollow it's just a block of silt of like gray metallic matter it's just a gray cylinder that's what I am I can't do anything I'm just in a man's body if I could just unzip and I'm a [ __ ] gray cylinder for my math textbook that I got to find the area of or some [ __ ] or the volume I got volume right here for you yeah those me you know increasing know it's when someone would not tip me after like you know being going above me on being like you know we're like joking around where I'm fun you know this is good like you know like where I'm also enjoying this they're enjoying it maybe I'll actually like make a good tip this time and then I go there and it's a [ __ ] like a dollar tip it's like a two percent tip and I'm there I'm just like oh
