- If you wanna see us get this
GMC Denali out of the river, this is one episode you
are not gonna want to miss. - For families who have all but given up on finding their loved ones, this team is a last hope. (inspiring, dramatic music begins) To a new phenomenon: civilian divers cracking
cold cases for free. - Good news is if you just
got done watching part one, the car did not blow up. Whew. Thank goodness. I'm told that cars only blow up in the movies, not in real life. - That's right. - Anyway, part two, we are
actually back for both car pulls. It's getting dark. It is
already seven o'clock. I think we're gonna be here.
I don't know how fast you are. - At least two, three hours. - Yeah, at least two, three hours. It's gonna get dark. It's
gonna be a lot of fun. But two cars are coming out, not cars, but two SUVs, SUVs. One Denali. - A Denali, and a Jeep. That's right. That's right. That's right. So Doug's gonna get in the water right now and we're gonna have a lot
of fun pulling these out. So thank you for coming
back for episode number two. As Doug and I just mentioned, we do have two more vehicles
that are we're to get out. Doug's already here in the water. We're gonna be dropping
some rigging to him. Initially when we started our
morning, we were looking for Brian Page, 16-year-old
who went missing in 1975. While searching for him,
we found two vehicles. Normally, as of late, we usually don't take the time to clean up the environment with removing the vehicles
as we once did in the past. However, we are in our own backyard. This was a, kind of, come out for the next couple of days together. It's not necessarily for training. Most of our gear is actually gone. So in the process, we're
not too far from Portland. We do have Jimmy with Northwestern Towing. We really appreciate him
because he did come up from Portland, which is about an hour, hour and a half away to volunteer his time and his services to help us out with pulling these vehicles out. So, again, I wanna say
thank you for coming and watching part two of this as we pull out the last
two vehicles this evening. We are going to be here long
after dark this evening. Probably the next two,
three hours, at least, maybe four, to pull these vehicles out. Could not be doing it without
each and every one of you. So please, do us a favor - subscribe to this channel
if you have not yet already. It helps the algorithm
and it's really the way that we're able to come out
here, help these families free of charge, as well
as law enforcement, looking for their lost loved ones and, as little side bonus, we're able to clean up
the environment tonight. So, again, thanks for being here with us. The first vehicle that Doug
is working on right now is the GMC Denali. The vehicle is upright on its wheels. I believe that the front
of it is facing downstream. Jimmy here has an incredible
rotator, is what it's called, and so it has a big boom
that comes off the truck and it has two big cables on it. We're gonna be able to
just pull this Denali with one cable tonight. So while Doug is down there
rigging it, once he pops up, we're gonna then head over
to shore, grab that cable and we're going to back feed
it and drop it into the river as we back up to this buoy. We're then going to connect to the end of this line and then Jimmy will pull
it out just like you did. Like if you saw episode one, that's how the vehicle's gonna come out. Very clean, very easy. Hopefully we don't flip it over this time. So Doug should be popping up right now. Good? Cable? We're good? Okay. All right. So same as before. We're going to put the cable
on the front of the boat, then we're going to back
the boat up nice and gentle. We're coming up on the cable right now, and then we'll be able to just lay it in the river as we back up. Nothing like putting a shredded
cable on a rubber raft. - Ah, you're fine. What's
the worst that could happen? - I know, right? - Is it okay if they get me gloves? - Are you ready? - Yeah, we're... Oh, you
want gloves? Yeah. Yeah. They can give you gloves. - No, let's just go. No, you're weak. It's all right. We'll give you some gloves. (laughs) - It's more getting my hands dirty on the camera equipment. - Oh. I'd be more worried about cutting your hands on that than anything. - I heal. - If you're worried
about cutting your hands, these ones aren't working. (laughs) - Yeah. No. Pull tension.
Yeah, yeah. You're good. You're smart, you're intelligent. - Really? - Alright, we can give it a little bit of speed so we can yank on it. I don't think we're gonna
have enough cable this time. - We might not. It's all falling out early. - Yeah, we still have like 50 feet to go. You don't have 50 feet
of cable there, do you? - I don't. Let's drag it, dude. - Alright. See if I can pull you
outta the boat. Ready? - All right, give her - We're so close. We're so close. Are we gonna make it? - Give her, give her! - Oh, we made it! - Grab that buoy, you're good. - Oh, we made it. We made it. I'm at the buoy. He's right here. I just gotta get myself to it without dropping us in there. - Might lose my headphones on this. - You might. - All right and again,
that lever in the back. - Just don't drop the big hood. - Allows it open. - No pressure. - No pressure. Just do it on camera. (laughs) - And then don't drop it. We gotta take, we gotta take the blue line off the buoy there. - Okay. - 'Cause the blue line is
short... or the... What? - All right. Gloves were a bad idea. Safe - Too slippery. All right. There you go. Beautiful. Now it's on the hook for sure. All right. - We are on the hook. - Perfect. Nice work. Good. All right? - All right. Yep. - That was nice and clean though. Like it's only been like eight
minutes since we started. Doug never did say, I'm gonna say white 'cause
most vehicles are white. The odds are more in
my favor if I say that. Leave a comment down below. What color do you think the Denali is? - Quick educational part.
These synthetic lines. Another good thing about
using them is if they break, they don't, you don't get
that extremely dangerous snap that everybody has to worry about. When this breaks, it just drops. Those cables though, however, even those cables, we really don't have to worry about, but they will, they're very
dangerous when they bust, but it's extremely rare. - Yeah, we're just talking about that. The 8,000 pound cables are the ones you have to worry about. - Yeah. - There's your vehicle - Right now. Perfect. - We've got a floater. - Like a rock. - I like it - What color would you say that is? - Ah, I'm still gonna say it's white. - That's a, that's a 20... 2015 or newer. - What color is it?
- I would say silver. - It does kind of look silver. (dramatic music) - If you have not done so, please make sure you're
subscribed to this channel. It is free. Hit the bell notification so you can get all the up-to-date videos when they come out. Thank you. - That color is silver. - It's silver. - I want everyone to
know that, it's silver. Is it coming? Whoa, whoa. (engine revs) - You've got to unlock it. - Yeah, it's, it's electric, it's not happening. - Is that what's floating behind it? - Yeah, it floated out of there. - I saw that. - There we go. Someone find me that 10 digit right on there. - Huh? Okay. - Sorry. It gets dug in there. - It's an H. So what's that, a 17? - 17? Yeah. - Is it? Is it H 17? - H-H-H-A-B-C-D-E-G is 16. So H-I-J-A-B-C. D. E.
F. G. H. Yeah, it's 17. - Okay, guess H is 17. 10th digit of the VIN represents
the year of the vehicle. - And every 30 years they cycle. (plucked string music begins) - Well, I'll get the rigging off - And then I'll pull up. - Whatever y'all wanna do. - Yeah, so I'll get the rigging off. You get ready, I'm gonna
pull forward in that zone. You come back down, hook this up. You'll be raked and then we can knock
the other one out quick. - Alright. (plucked string music continues) - I had this same car with
fricking 20 eights on it. I was young and crazy just
a couple years ago. Yeah. (emotional piano music begins) - Yep. We got our four
irons of flatbed headed down to rig up this Denali. We're gonna load that up there. Pull it up and then we got one more car to grab. - I really think we should have just used the pony bottle today. - Not sure that we needed it. You're only, what, 22 feet deep? - I'm glad you agree with me. - That's all you need. Just a pony. In fact, we just need to get rid of the dry suits. Full face. Cameras. You don't even need dive lights anymore. Yeah. - Nice! - I can hear them very loud down there and I'm like, "all right", "I know what it is.
Nothing to worry about". - Here goes the lift foil
right here. Nice. Nice. Yeah. I'd like to get one of those. - Diver down. Alright. - Good luck. Nice thing about jet skis
is they have a intake rather than a propeller,
whereas we have a propeller. So we want to be very careful coming over the top of Doug here and we also wanna make sure we keep other boats away from Doug as well that have propellers on them. - What's the purpose of that, Jimmy? - It helps slide, you know, tire's got a lot of grip so they're gonna catch, this
is gonna wedge underneath and it's gonna slide
right up on the concrete. It's better on the bed but
it helps. There you go. Put that wheel down more. There you go. Keep on on, keep it up, up. There we go. Tighten that
winch up. Alright, stop! Oh sh... Bed up. - Did that rock get
dragged up with the car? - Yep. - Holy smokes dude. - Jesus, it's heavy. (inspiring music begins) - Nope. I can't go back into neutral. - All good, all good. (inspiring music continues) - These are locks. This
will lock the bed down. These two rails will slide
right underneath this. - You know, I didn't know that. - As long as that deck is down flat, it's, it should lock under there. It's secure. It's not gonna come up unless something devastating happens. This is fine. This is a tandem axle with a drop axle. This truck is meant to
tow some stuff, man. It's a real heavy machinery. (truck engine roars) This one's on his side, so
it's gonna be pretty gnarly. I got the, I got the front end rigs, so depending on how it
drags and folds, who knows? So it's sitting on its side. I have both front wheels rigged. No, I actually, I have the,
the wheel assemblies rigged. - Okay. - Underneath. 'cause
I could get right down underneath the car. - Yeah. - So, who knows. Is the car gonna come out
upside down or right side up? Leave a comment below. - Right side up. - Right side up? Little man says right side up. - I think it's coming up upside down. - I think it's gonna
come up right side up, to be the optimist. - It's, uh, physics would say it's gonna come up upside down because the wheels are
gonna make it buoyant. - Yep. - The second it wants to go either way, the wheels are gonna carry it up. Which is why we find
most cars upside down. 'cause once they go under the water, the wheels make them buoyant and they flip, float upside
down and hit the bottom. So if you guys don't know
why, most of the cars that we find under water are upside down, that's why. You send, if you send a car from the top of this ramp down into here and just the water comes buoyant, the wheels will carry it
over and down just like that. - Where do you considering up top? Because if we wait, I can
make, we can throw two lines. I can bring it up any way we want. If we count this on top, I
can make sure I win this bet. This is the only bet I can
win. No, I'm just joking. - You see, you have an
advantage. All right. You have an advantage. (inspiring music continues) - Press down on that. See it, press down and it opens. Down, and it opens. - Okay. - One more time. We press down on this, and it opens up. - Okay. Sounds easy now. - Yep. - Okay. - You got it. Yeah. Wait for them to get done and
they'll put it on the boat. - All right, we're gonna start backing up. - Sounds good. (inspiring music intensifies) - All right. Now we have
bubbles coming up right here. Bubbles means movement. - I'm trying to get into... - What'd you say? It was gonna come up right
side up or upside down? - Upside down. - Yeah, You're trying to
make it come upside down. - You were dragging it up on it's side. - The, so the wheels are going to give it an advantage, if you pull it too fast, it's gonna end up upside down. Oh no, no. By all means, do it the way you want to do it. (inspiring music continues) (truck begins reversing) - Whoa! - It's turned upside down. - It's turning sideways. - You jinxed it. - Oh, it's fine. Now we
get to play with it more. (inspiring music becomes dramatic) - It was right side up. (audibly shushes) - It's your fault. - It was my fault because
I, I wanted to win that bet. I think I won too, 'cause it looks like it's upside down to me. - It came up right side up. - Whoa. It didn't make surface yet. - Well, you'll have to
see until it comes up. Maybe you'll have a chance and it'll flip back over on it. - No, no it will not.
I'm controlling this. (dramatic music continues) - Yeah. (dramatic music continues) (dramatic music intensifies) - Jimmy, what's up? Thanks, man. - Anytime, man. It wouldn't have been possible without you, brother. - We had fun doing it. - Yeah. Glad we could team up again
and clean up the environment. - Always what it's all about, man, We didn't solve a case today, but we, we helped clean
up the river, you know. - Well, next time. That's what it's all about. It'd be ideal if there were no cases to solve, though. - I know it would be an ideal if we didn't have to solve any but yeah, man, being able to get these cars out the river is critical. And we didn't know what was in these cars, - We found a car seat. - Yeah, we found a car seat. We saved a lot of fish. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Fortunately for us, this is kind of fun. - Yeah. So, you know, it was, it was a lot lighter than the stuff we normally deal with but there's still a
real big positive aspect is that these three cars
are out of the river. All the glues and toxins and the interiors, the
engine lines, the rubbers, all that stuff, outta there. - Yeah. - I lost all the color bets, I might add. Every single one. - Yeah, yeah. - Every single one. - And, and you know,
for, for, for everybody that we had sitting on their seats commenting whether or not it
was gonna come out upside down or right side up, that was a twister right to the end, you know, so it was, it was crazy. Like it. It was awesome. (calm piano begins) (inspiring orchestral music begins) - Another thing that makes this possible is you guys sitting at home watching this, your contributions, none of this would be
possible without you. The donations, all the volunteers that make all of this possible. Thank you guys. Make sure you hit the subscribe button, like, share, leave a comment.
