[Music] hi everyone this is for y'all from scrumptious cakes by Fairy and in this video I'm going to show you how I make my mandala buttercream look this is how I do it I hope you like this video so let's get started so you need very few things for buttercream simple buttercream icing sugar I have sifted the icing sugar this is about 2 and 1/2 cups I take the whole box of 500 grams icing sugar and take away about 2 tbsp so rather than measuring it to two and a half cups this is the easiest way I do I take 2 tbsp from 500 grams and then sift the rest of it so this is the rest of it taking away just 2 tbsp from that I don't use the whole packet I've I find that if I use the whole packet the buttercream get too stiff and slightly grainy that's my preference so here is the sifted icing sugar about 2 and 1/2 cup you need pure butter you can't use the tub tub spread or anything you have to use the butter like real butter I'm using president this is my favorite butter to use in buttercream and you need the unsalted one you need vanilla extract use when I like straight rather than using the essence essence is the artificial think this is the real thing so you try to use the extract this is slightly expensive than essence but the flavor is amazing you need milk like whole milk or any milk you have I have warmed it up about a minute in the microwave I would be needing a couple of tablespoon of the whole thing but I just warmed it up for a minute in a microwave so that's all you need okay so in mixer I'm using this paddle attachment you need to have the butter on room temperature like if I poke my finger it goes in like this it should be like soft like this but not too soft so just leave the butter on room temperature and I'm going to put the foil off just butter on medium speed I've bound between three and four mark [Music] okay so I have been beating this butter for about two minutes and that's how it looks like you can see how fluffy it is and it got pale actually this is a very important part please please don't skip you have to be the butter before you add anything else in this let's just scrape down the sides quickly here now I'm going to add about a tablespoon of my vanilla extract I just type all the one I'll extract if you want to use boom go ahead with that I will be adding some of the icing sugar I have added about one third of the sugar we had and I'm going to beat this again on medium medium speed at three mark on my Kenwood so once you add the icing sugar in the mixture start with the minimum speed so once the icing sugar is incorporated with the butter then you go on the medium speed if you start from the medium the icing sugar will go everywhere in your mixer or Bowl whatever you're using scrape the sides and add another 1/3 of the icing sugar [Music] and beat again for a minute so now I'm going to add the rest of the icing sugar I'm sorry for the weird angle now I will be adding about two tablespoons of milk and then I will see if I need more again start with the mean minimum speed and then go to medium so I have been beating this for two minutes and this is how my buttercream looks quite fluffy so this time I'm gonna check if it's like hard or soft [Music] I want a little softer than this so I'm going to be adding a tablespoon or two again of the milk [Music] and I'm going to beat this now for another three minutes okay so after beating for three minutes my buttercream looks like this the buttercream should be very fluffy and soft as you can see so the buttercream is now ready if you want the buttercream to be colored you can add any color at this moment just don't add the water colors the water base colors use the gel color and you can use this buttercream to pipe the k25 the cupcakes or you can use this in the cake so I hope you liked this tutorial please let me know if you have any questions thanks for watching bye [Music]
