Valentines Day Build in the Thermaltake Ceres 500 + Giveaways (5800x3D / 7900XTX)

going on everybody welcome welcome welcome to the makeup Valentine's Day build this is for those who don't know um we ran a competition so we ran a competition and part of that competition was you guys choosing the build that we would build for Valentine's Day and so uh we had a a good amount of entries was really exciting it looked like people really enjoyed this um and what we did is well we learned that we didn't run this competition well enough so we've learned we've learned a better way to basically run the competition and we're going to be doing that again because people chose parts that were proprietary to certain manufacturers or they didn't make something that was necessarily Valentine's Day themed Etc and so while we had like a lot of entries we couldn't just choose one winner so what we had to do is we essentially made this the spirit of the user Choice Valentine's Day bill today and that is what we're going to build today on the show now I am very excited announcing you got a little sneak peek of this uh on Amazon uh that we're going to be doing the same competition again and this time we should have enough lead up time but we're going to be doing the same thing for uh for St Patrick's Day so we're gonna have a dedicated place for you can go in there you can discuss it show it talk about your build all of those things are going to be worked on and then next week on Tuesday we'll actually have that go live so I'm letting you guys know this is really really uh really really cool to see everybody involved now this time I tried very hard to be able to give away this PC that wasn't something we were able to do but we're going to try and do that for the St Patrick's Day we just need a little bit more lead time to be able to get the parts and stuff like that so if this goes well we'll do a St Patrick's Day themed build we'll give it away live on the stream and we'll build one PC from a certain uh certain user so get your thinking caps on start thinking about your theme and what parts you choose for your St Patrick's Day I will give you a hint it will have to include the color green right like that's the uh that's the uh the key thing there for sure so it will have to be some sort of have some sort of green element to it for sure um and so it'll go live on Discord on two on Tuesday so that should be a lot of fun um I'm trying to think of what else uh we had a really great Amazon stream today which was a lot of fun um and so it was really cool to see everybody turning out for that we had a really crazy deal and we'll talk I'm sure that guys it's been a good week minus the little issue that we had on Tuesday with the original Valentine's Day build this week has actually been really good so I'm really excited to be hanging out with you guys and uh and building this PC yeah gray ghost said I grabbed one of those 850x yeah it's it's a heck of a deal especially if you have a PlayStation 5 um really really good price yeah papa Ruby did do a good version yeah he he did a really really good job uh and he's got a heck of a first PC you know what I mean for uh for his build but how are people's weekends are you guys having a good you guys having a good weekend are people having fun uh today and having a like a nice relaxing weekend this should be a fun build I'm really excited about it and all that sort of stuff so it should be it should be a good will a good week and all that jazz we have quite a build it was a fun build to watch nice looks like people enjoyed it um I got a decent sleep for a change hey I can't you can't argue with that and we're at 25 of 250 uh Subs already okay well let's let's talk about giveaway so we haven't we got a couple people throwing it looks like High Country uh through a uh through a uh through a uh through a uh a sub in there so we'll talk about what's going on from a build standpoint uh so what we got going on today is we're going to be doing the Valentine's Day build we do have some giveaways that are gonna be happening over the course of the show so first and foremost if we get 250 likes or we get we got 250 likes uh on uh YouTube then we'll give away a 25 new gift card and if we get a uh level five hype train we'll give away a 25 New Age gift card now if we get to 50 Subs then that whole thing upgrades to a 50 new a gift card if we get to 100 Subs comes 100 neweggy gift card 150 subscribers 150 anyway gift card and then it starts to just climb from there all the way to giving away things like hardware and all that sort of stuff so nvme drives CPUs Etc so trying to we got our first we got a PC giveaway coming up in the month of March so we will be doing a PC giveaway for the month of March and we're trying to think of good ideas for sub only giveaways because we have we've kind of gone away from the sub only giveaways and I want to just kind of think of stuff so if you have ideas head over to discord.gg robytech we'd love to come up with a good sub idea for the month of March I don't know if doing PCS only for Subs would be good we like we're trying to make those and ensure those are are open to everybody um and you I know you can get a free sub with the Subs over on Discord we're going to be having uh weekly amas and all sorts of things like that so for people who are Discord subscribers um we'll be able to add into that and uh be able to be a part of that so uh some some really really great stuff and then we're just trying to come up with some other community ideas and Community um uh Pro programs to help get people more involved with stuff like that things like the St Patrick's Day the the Valentine's Day build and stuff like that so make sure head over to our community it's a great place to hang out we're trying to make it more active chill and have fun and stuff like that so um greed and not in a agreed and not in a good way yesterday I had a root canal and today I slashed my middle finger with a razor knife yikes that sounds not good at all so okay well uh I think that's kind of anything I've pretty much covered everything that's that's happening today on the stream why don't we go and get started let's talk about the parts we're putting in today's build uh and then we'll go ahead and get started because it's actually you know in fact we kind of got through all the intro stuff here pretty quick huh um but yeah it looks like everybody's having a good time cool uh okay so let's kick it off uh you guys voted we this is the last thing that we voted on so right before we did the stream on Tuesday we said well what CPU do you want to have inside of this build and so you guys chose the ryzen 7 5800 X 3D uh the choice was between that and a ryzen 7000 series and you guys are like hey Roby if we're gonna do a Valentine's Day build why not do the very famous and what everybody is basically being impatient for the x3d versions of these CPUs now we do have the 7000 series x3d chips coming out very very soon at the end of the month so it's a very very exciting time and I think this is just showing you where that hype is uh for team red right now now with that because we had to make sure that you know this is an all-white build um which is what you guys had essentially chose it's it's the Roby love build uh we're going to be doing uh the b550 vision D um motherboard that was what came with your choice of CPU so you were like hey you know if if this is the board if this is the CPU then this is the board that's basically coming uh with it so this is our board should look good I think I'm really excited for how this whole build is going to come together um and uh all that kind of jazz so you guys you guys basically the whole Community who are over on Discord chose this part now the other parts were chosen by a combination of blue MCAT we had DJ techno we had two other people I forgot their names uh Blondie can get them but we had four people that basically won 25 new a gift cards um for being part of the competition because we combined the three into it and then we gave DJ techno essentially the spirit award because dude the guy was like a legion yeah there's so many people were so stoked to get to participating DJ was like he was like genuinely like invested in the choice and stuff like that so it was uh it was an exciting it was exciting for uh him to get to we we we wanted to reward his excitement um for the cooler and this was an old chaos call I like I wanted to do something like this make sure that we could cover it um because you don't necessarily need to use a a super high-end cooler for your cooler as weird as it for 5800x3d so we're going to be using the Deep cool um basically ak620 in white should go very look should look very very clean very very crisp with everything going on with this so I'm actually really excited about this and I think this is going to look this is going to look say magnafique uh if uh if I'm not mistaken um for our storage funny enough funny enough I don't know if we plan this or not Tom but we're going to be using the WD black sn850x which was which was not we did not plan this but believe it or not this thing is on sale right now for that ridiculous price we talked about um and uh very very excited to get to show this off because it's on 46 off right now and it has a five dollar off coupon which is nuts we're also going to be using uh thermaltake's tough Ram XG RGB because it's ddr4 and it was an X3 uh a 5800 X 3D we only have 16 gigs I meant to I should have asked Mike to send me another kit before I did this but usually we'd put 32 gigs in this so in the spec we'd say do 32 gigs I think I'm used to using two sticks given we're using ddr5 as much as we are right now um but I would actually recommend doing uh I would actually recommend doing 32 gigs but we only had two sticks and that's all I asked for that's that was my bad um okay the other thing we're going to be adding because you guys chose the series 500 is we are going to add the LCD panel kit for the series 500 so this is the kit that's going to go on the side it's got an LCD panel we'll show like things like stats you can throw you know images in there we're going to make it like we'll find we'll see if we can find some sort of cute Valentine's Day thing to show on this but it also do things like show you thermal temperatures all that stuff all plugs into their RGB uh 2.0 TT RGB plus 2.0 software so we're gonna be adding this to the case um because that is you know that was a requirement for our case because this was important uh and this was this was actually chosen by uh one of the winners was the series 500 this is the latest case from thermaltake we're going to be doing it in white this is actually an impressive case with the fact that you can actually do a 420 millimeter AIO in the front of this so I will probably end up doing a second build in this at some point in time uh just to build like a Powerhouse system in it and all like Arctic Powerhouse system I'm hoping to get like either the white 4090 from Asus or the white you know maybe even from gigabytes somebody who makes like a really high-end white build and make like the most powerful Arctic build so pretty excited about that um but yeah this is a it's it's a it's a bit of a wider case but for the most part uh it's also very beautiful it comes with three four uh 340 millimeter fans already so there's not a lot of pre-installation and stuff like that we have to necessarily worry about um and you know we'll be well at the same time kind of be doing a new case because I've never built in this case before in fact we don't actually I mean we had had some some thermal take on the show but now with our new relationship with thermaltake and with thermaltake mic we're going to start seeing them a lot more like showing off their new Spa fans and stuff like that as well so it should I think this is going to end up looking really really clean and really really nice for our power supply they went ahead and sent me their white 850 Watts their weight their white 850 watt thermaltake gf1 snow so it is going to be white in there so we are going to be using a thermaltake uh PSU this is a uh Radeon uh RX 7900 XTX build so we don't have to worry about the 16 pin we just needed our standard connections and all that sort of stuff so because of that we're actually going to use two different color of our Asia horse cables we've got uh the pure pink and then we've also got Pure White so we'll be using a pink and a white Kit just to make it feel that that last bit of the overall um Valentine's Day themed and then lastly I'm actually very excited about this getting this directly from Sapphire which are now becoming which have actually just sent me a care package of all of the 6000 series cards and all their 7 000 series cards we've got the Nitro plus 7900 XTX so this one's like their are kind of their deeper silver it's got that beautiful RGB bar on the side of it so this is like a high-end all red you know which you know feels very AMD we've got an AMD uh plus AMD Valentine's Day build and then we got all the lighting to go with it we got purple and pink and all that sort of stuff so what do you guys think of the build I think this is going to be a pretty pretty pretty pretty build right for pretty good parts don't you think just give you like a parts view there looks pretty good I don't think we're gonna go wrong with this what do you guys think everybody says yep I think it's gonna be pretty I think we're gonna I think we're gonna end up with a really good build it's gonna look very sweet literally it's gonna look Valentine's Day sweet guys yeah okay so a couple things don't forget to head over to youtube.com is a 5800 X3 ethereum and it's a better gaming it's a better gaming um get better gaming CPU no they do not outperform an x3d in gaming here we go blue and Cat she's been ready she was one of the people that we chose the winners for there's that beautiful that beautiful uh Mobo a red oh yeah it is it's throw me for a loop dude okay so let's kick it off with an old school 5800 X 3D thing right beautiful ryzen 7 5800 X 3D currently one of the best if not cheapest gaming CPUs on the market I have a 12 700 and I want to get to a non-fcpu why what do you need the integrated chip for yeah the mobo this mobo is very clean it's a really nice looking Mobo okay let's get some thermal paste on this bad boy because I don't know if upgrading to 12 upgrading from a 12 700 to anything right now doesn't make all that sense whoa extra moist drop in 2010 gifted Subs there we go I love that name every time extra moist drops it it makes me happy thank you very much for the 10 gifted Subs my friend we could get most of a level five hype train if we get like a couple more people to either drop some bits or uh do a couple of subs and then we'll we'll basically hit uh we'll hit that level pull there here is our back of this case look at it you got a install for a three and a half inch a hard drive you got two ssds these are both removable nice big Channel trait this is actually like it almost feels like plastic but it's not okay here's our extra gear it's like a weird feeling metal I don't know what that is it's odd feeling though okay so we got that now the other thing we want to remove right now and we're going to work on so inside here we got some other stuff we got vertical mount and some extra looks like we got some extra support here so let's see I think this is for doing like a wide you do a front Juniper thank you for the resub 28 months okay here's that wow good luck getting Jesus Crow wow that is like not coming out I was like come on come out geez okay so we got these they gotta figure out what those are okay here's the front okay front just pops off that's nice see and then that one holds in nicely see that's what I kind of expected like there's a little grip here so I there must be something similar for this other this other dust filter just got to figure it out so again it comes with 420 millimeter and then you could put a 420 millimeter AIO on the front of this with no problem um which is crazy and it's actually got the cut out for just actually having the the front radiator so pretty cool you still have it I mean look at how much room you have this case is crazy wide so even doing a 420 in the front you could do push pull at the top if you wanted to and then it comes with a looks like everything you need for a front uh vertical Mount but we're not going to Vertical them out so we're going to remove this and then that just comes right out like that so there we go so now we got our vertical Mount thing out okay and then the other thing we're going to remove guys is remember we've got that special screen we're going to install it's one of the little additives that you get so we're going to remove this and then this just comes off let's see if it has something on the bottom screw in the bottom though let's go on the bottom just making sure okay so it lifts up okay so it lifts up and then so you lift it up and then put it down okay okay so there's that little front screen off okay so that's we're going to put our screen and there we go now the case is stripped it's pretty much ready to do install we're going to keep everything else these are some these are some tiny tiny like these are like the world's not okay so you've got okay so here's the it actually comes with the daisy chain so the front three are daisy chain and this is so you can daisy chain the rear really easily so I I don't like how short this is where I have to hide this back cable um so just trying to figure out how to do that because the rest of the cable is actually really short but this one is like not this is like two not yeah I don't like this at all because it's just like I'm gonna try I'll try and hide this with like the the uh extensions but you do have a lot of cables here so we'll be able to easily get the extension in there let's go ahead and grab LCD panel kit oh hmm okay here we go top pant top down so here's our LCD panel kit so this is going to replace that screen we've got a couple cables that come with it looks like you just have one couple little cables that come with it there foreign and it looks like it's the exact same cables that what you have with your other thermaltake RGB so if you wanted a daisy chain RGB you can do that with other thermal tape components we don't actually have a lot of thermal tape components because the fans are just stock RGB fans so this will be the only thing running off of it okay so let's go to our side camera here you just have one little plug there that's it now our screen is ready there we go now we've got a screen in the side that's cool and now we've got a screen in there look at that that's going to be cool and then again you can put whatever you want to have on this thing so pretty neat I'm actually pretty excited to see how that looks so this is going to be a display screen hooks up just via USB to the bottom and all that jazz and all that jazz okay let's go to top down because you know what's next guys motherboard oh you've got another installation here for another three and a half inch drive if you wanted to we're going to remove that or a couple two and a half inch drives if you wanted to you got a lot of room here for uh for um drives and stuff like that so I mean like dude look at all the room here on the side you're gonna have like a lot of space on this side it's got I'm a little worried the case is going to look really empty with all of the space over here almost feel like it'd be better to like put like I know something else there because I mean the case is going to feel like uh it's gonna feel empty but we'll see we'll see you could do like uh like uh some vinyl here or something like that just to really kind of make it look nice see what I mean like look how empty the case I mean that case just looks really empty foreign yeah it feels like something should go I might I kind of want to put something over here I don't have any I don't have anything to put in there I feel like something should go over there like a like a like a gnome a gnome or something like something here I mean it's like you're gonna block airflow but yeah wait I don't know we'll put our red thermaltake you know our things yeah Cupid a plant we can put a plant in there I wish I had something like uh something kind of uh Valentine's day-ish to put in here I don't know what figured out we'll get there let's get the rest of build built yeah this case has a ton of room for a custom water loop you are you are red like you could put like I could just put a vat of liquid over there well that's cool check this out I haven't seen one of these in a while the case actually comes with a PC speaker that's neat those are the PC speaker it's been a while since I seen one of those yeah it is actually a very abnormal yeah okay we got a lot of thump we got a lot of screws here let's see which ones these are they're usually these yeah I feel like a like a custom water cooled would look almost better I think the fact that it's white is what's making it worse it makes it feel more empty I think if it was black it wouldn't feel as bad we still will have a GPU in this so I wonder if this is the one they actually was okay these are not the right screws it's kind of like it's it's so funny it's like when a screw when they use an abnormal screw for motherboards you're like having to sit there and like test which one it is like which screw is it but I finally found the right one oh we're going to use Excalibur guys screw it this needs this needs the Excalibur oops foreign we got it in now I know it Mikey you think as many builds I do like but it's not nobody it's like not standard so sometimes you're like oh it's not this one like most of the time they have a lip around them not this one doesn't do that so it's like it's not always the same type of screw it'd be nice if it was okay let's get this last couple screws in and then we're done I forgot let me go gotta remove that little foreign thing I always say when you put in screws especially motherboard screws do not force them you will cross thread so it's like if it feels like it's being very very resistant take your time kind of unscrew it and loosen it and then screw it back in you'll find it'll go in easy if it's not then you're you're putting either in the wrong screw or you're going to cross thread and then it's going to when you try to remove the motherboard your standoff is going to come with it yes there we go okay okay screws are in motherboard is in no don't cross the streams yeah it is a very roomy case I feel like something should go into it but I don't know what I'm gonna put inside of it I gotta figure find something to put inside of this very roomy case okay there's that okay guys let's get our connections hooked up our front panel connectors all that sort of stuff oop one almost forgot a screw no there's no hole to mount an AIO I mean if you had that you if you had the hose it would probably look better because you'd have some hose there to to basically fill in the slot but it has got a it's got a lot of room in this case I like all of I like all of these suggestions you guys have definitely taken to coming up with good suggestions okay let's uh let's go to side camera and let's start putting cables in you guys are definitely uh I I I need not worry if some we will probably figure it out between all of you guys okay first thing we got we got a USB so it's going to come right here this is for our screen okay there's our screen okay USB 3.2 oh it put it down at the bottom interesting not everybody does that very oh I forgot this is a b550 board okay there we go USB 3.2 do we have USBC okay we do have USBC guys a little worried we wouldn't but looks like we got USBC here we go USBC next up we got front panel connectors we'll have to hook those up while we're laying down and then the last thing we got is our we have our RGB for our fans and our control so we have a fan okay I don't know how much I don't know if we maybe do it up top could do it here 's our fan this is all the fans oh that was impressive I did not put that there we go okay there's our fans and then we have our RGB I feel like I oversimplified this build guys then we have our RGB I mean like you don't I mean I don't I don't one that allows you to hook up I'm just making sure I didn't didn't get put someplace else like because he just redid this whole room trying to see if I have like any other I used to have like a ton of RGB stuff but I don't see any other RGB stuff anywhere see lots of Corsair Ram trying to see if there's anything else we can stick in here guys hmm I got Towers yeah there's not really anything else hmm I don't even have like any like excess stuff that I could throw in here that I was like oh you know look cool is this but I don't even have anything like that it's funny because I think the best thing that would be to stick in there is if like you had like a uh you had like a yeah I don't have any of the triangles I don't have a core kit that I can just unlock I should actually tell Corsair to send me some because then I would just have some so if the thing like this came up again that was a good idea guys I agree those kits the elf so the LT the lc100s are like miniature Nano Leafs their miniature Nano leaves I have them inside of a couple builds um and uh they're made for inside of PCS and they're really they're really nice looking and that would have looked really good we could have done like a a design on the left hand side but I don't have all I have is the expansion kits I don't have the initial kit which would have been great [Music] because that would have looked really good that was a really good idea uh no those are all gone those are all gone we gave those away but uh yeah though I don't have those anymore the lvlc was a was such a good idea I can't believe I don't have any lc100s it might be in our Amazon maybe one of our Amazon crates I don't know we'll have to see I'll look one more time I'm refusing to give up okay some nice beautiful white a bill that we had the community uh we said hey we should do a Valentine's Day build and uh folks I was like hey you know what why don't you guys the community uh put we we open it up so people can go to our Discord server and um vote on a Valentine's like say hey if you guys could choose the parts what would you what were the parts you would choose um and so the community went on to our Discord server and we had a number of people put in builds the problem was is that we've learned some stuff from this build it wasn't it wasn't we didn't do a good enough job of like creating something where we could actually pull all the parts and stuff like that so in the for the St Patrick's ones that coming up it'll be a lot more a lot a lot better in terms of that stuff but um these are the parts so this is like the spirit of three different builds um and so uh this is just this is what the community voted for and uh that's why we're building it and then it will get torn apart and uh used in another you know these components will get used they get my components get used in a ton of different builds I have like uh I have what looks like a Micro Center sitting right next to us um here in the studio and I just have all these parts so I can build and try new cases new builds themed builds all that sort of stuff so that's the whole point here okay let's get this straight you can't either have that come down a little bit a little bit low here it's more like right here yeah foreign what we want now is just a nice straight Bend here for the build there you go that does fill up the space a little bit better okay cool the pop of color helps color always makes us always makes spaces feel a bit smaller okay so let's pop this down we do need two of these because we have three eight pins we've got our fan header for our uh cooler right here this is our 24 pin our EPS connection we've got our USBC or USB 3.2 gen 2. here we've got our front panel connectors we're going to hook those up in a minute USB 3.2 the big ugly cable we've got this is the USB for our um our thermaltake and then we've also got here the HD audio so capelish thank you very much for the sub what we're going to do real quick is we'll hook this up and get these last little these little last little connections hooked up and then we'll do our dad joke and move on from there power actually I think the best thing to do is actually do the hard drive and reset first I really wish to find folks over at thermaltake would have done like all new other new cases kind of gone to a unified front panel connector I don't know if you guys watched this stream with my dad but these are a struggle still probably one of the most daunting connections in the plug is just getting those plugged in okay so all of our front okay there's that one this we can now put in here okay this is all to the screen back here so see we can do to clean this up if I had to daisy chain anything I would feels the right thing here to do this tray right here because it's got that black dot you could definitely stick something inside of this case if you wanted to just to clean up make that look a little bit better because we'll have the light bar and stuff like that yeah it needs something in that space like I said those triangles would have been great I'm going to look in this bin real quick to see if I happen to have a starter kit because if I have a starter kit that would have been great but I have a couple I have an RGB bin over here oh that's heavy I had another bin of stuff oh this might work this might work um this and they don't I don't see anything that's like shooting out at me that would be good to put there so at least you guys know if you're gonna build in this case you would have room for something like that but like the L the little triangles right there would have looked really good I just don't have any triangles okay well let's get our PSU in and go from there zip tie art that would have worked and maybe it'll look better when we have the whole PC together I might it may not look as bad you know so we'll see I might be overreacting to it so we will see okay let's throw our PSU in yeah it again what is that is there is an error here and I'm wondering if it's the GPU yeah it's VGA this was actually like it I'm this is this is interesting because it's actually a VGA issue that it's saying it's not saying anything else which I don't know if this is like I there was like a seating issue hold on there's there was having I was having a hard time seeding this GPU into the slot so I'm wondering if there's actually a slotting issue here I'm gonna take a look at this take a picture of this one more time yeah it's stuck on VGA which I have seen before and I'm curious if this if the if the GPU is not seated all the way I noticed this when I was doing that when uh when the way it was like seeding in with the case but it doesn't look like it's not I can't tell if that's latched or not I'll try it with the other power cable just skipping it I am going to give it a second just to make sure there's not a posting error but it's right now it's stuck on VGA and by the way we did test this before this does post like I did do the this combination of hardware and everything like that so with the board with this GPU all that stuff at the same time but when I was trying to get the the GPU seated I was having issues with it seating in the motherboard with uh on the left hand side so I don't know if there's an issue with the seating of the board so I'm just gonna try something for the sake of trying something though that's this is this is always the fun part guys a little bit of troubleshooting here let me try this just to see first thing we're going to do is just make sure it's not a cable extension issue just a test I'm just going to test this because it's non-standard right now foreign wow this is a brutal car cable that get in there okay got it foreign okay we're just gonna test this first no no I think it's a seating issue with the uh with the GPU okay I'm gonna just reseat the GPU okay so it's definitely not I just wanted to verify that it wasn't because we had this really wacky foreign connection here so I was having a genuine problem getting this deceit before [Music] all right let's put it down and try and reseed it yeah I do it's been it's been it's been fully we've actually like we've tested this connection before we've tested this before so it's acting it's it's saying there's a VGA era on the board I don't know I'm grabbing that oh this is always the fun with GP with uh PCS guys okay let's go to top down now because I was having a real hard time getting this deceit foreign if it's just not seated yeah see what I mean if I can just pull it without a GPU real quick we should get an error but I just want to see if what it does see so it did see it actually ran past that so it's actually look that just shows because D6 is no console output device found so it's basically saying that the GPU this is not this is not detecting a GPU it feels like this GPU is not sitting like it's not being able to sit the way that it needs to sit inside of one of these and that's what I think is actually happening is it's not able to sit flat and so it's not seated all the way because it's I mean the 7900 XTX I mean what I can do we can do one more test and just just to make sure it's not a power problem hold on not that it would be but make sure it's not a power problem it ain't nothing no we tested it without the car we test it without the power plug the power we test it without the power cable extensions I plugged it in just natively and it had the same problem I just feel like this like this it's like it's like this case is keeping it from because I'm not even seeing the fans do their initial spin oh there it goes okay sitting at 99. yeah that's what I was going to do next is change the slot for the GPU real quick yeah I could plug in a riser cable that's a good call too I don't know if I have any Gen 4 Riser cables let me try this I'm gonna do with my here it is it just feels like it's weird because it feels like this I don't know it's it's odd but actually see that so you hear that click that click was super solid that time okay let's turn this on I do have a riser cable I know I can use one no it's 99 again it just doesn't feel like it's seating all the way hey I'll try the screen okay come on unlock thinks it might be the screen but we'll try I'll try once with the screen out and then I'm also going to try a riser cable next just to see if that fixes it thank you nope 99 I'm going to clear the CMOS just to see if that does anything but I don't know it shouldn't but I'll clear it there is a q flash Plus Let Me Clear CMOS button if not I can pull the I'll pull there I'll pull the uh foreign there you go just try that once okay uh this is a and by the way guys this I have tested this CPU with the right GPU on in a bench outside of this so This has worked it has posted it is it's it's it's so this is that's why I'm spending so much time in this because it's it shouldn't be doing this I'm going to try one other thing and see if it's a case-sitting issue it could be I mean that is another option as it could be the it could be the the GPU ones and here run Linux yeah I don't think that'll work it wasn't this come on here we go foreign okay that is the most jerry-rigged thing I've ever done but no same problem so it's definitely not a seating issue foreign yeah so it's definitely not a seating issue because this is a gen 4. and it's plugged directly in there so it's not a seating issue okay that's good to know it wasn't I mean like I said this was all posted so it was posted in everything I said I mean I could cue flash it which we can do I'll go ahead and Flash the BIOS one more time and just see if I can do that so we'll run the BIOS flash one more time it's easy to do I have the BIOS right here foreign foreign okay let's put this in BIOS there it is turn this on there it goes it's flashing [Music] so we're just gonna we have the bias I've already done this but we'll try it one more time foreign yeah the last one was on the eighth I'll check one more time just to make sure that's what I have but we'll let the BIOS finish here yeah I see there's a there's one on have here make sure it's the same one b550 16a and the one that I have is the F-15 so we'll move to 16a now that I expect that to be better but we'll put it on we'll put that one on so this is now that's that's Nev I've never had to do that before in essentially 100 PCS so this would be a very unique thing if I had to reset the bios for this I'm still here I swear that this thing is not sitting all the way oh come on come on unseat there we go that would be super unique if I if this actually worked but I will try it okay let's reset PC guy it's two that would be too fat on the on this board it wouldn't work I have a I I was using something similar to that link oh yeah it's crazy okay I'm gonna I'm gonna just for the sake of I'm gonna put this in I don't wonder if the HDMI is not quite screwed in all the way Christina that is seated okay I already did the CMOS clear I just did that I literally just cleared the CMOS and reset the bias and the fact that it worked on one GPU and not the other is the part that's super strange I already did Slugger we did the we did the uh we and I know this GPU works I know this GPU works because I just did it I used it like not that long ago foreign the only thing I can think is we might I'm going to try and skip the cable extensions and just try and run it raw just to see if that's the problem let's go to side here foreign foreign so it's definitely not a power issue foreign so it's not the extensions and this worked on this board foreign I already updated the BIOS I'll plug in a keyboard yeah why not I'll plug it in just because it definitely posted we got it we saw it post with the other thing it's funny because it's actually showing that there's that it's posting 99 is showing like it's actually the keyboard and stuff like that is actually showing like it's posting yeah I mean the power supply could be a PSU issue I mean maybe it could literally be a PSU issue well the problem is I can't even get to the point where I can get into the AMD into the thing I mean it could lit I mean I could switch out PSU let's do that we'll just try one more thing let's just just for the sake of sake of testing I already did we already ran it outside the case that's the part that's whack I'm just going to try it with the standard and then if this doesn't work I'm going to go get another PSU real quick and then Oh shoot that's not gonna do any good just gonna try it with no it posted so yeah it did work at one point in time so try one more time the thing is the eight pin I know worked because it actually posted before so it's not a eight pin issue yeah it's sitting at 99. it's just so weird because I've done it was outside of the case it all worked but I was using a thousand watt PSU so I'm just going to try I'm gonna go just because it's a it's a big big card let's just go grab a thousand watt PSU and just try foreign I want to see if we can get to the bottom of this foreign foreign okay gosh darn it come on stick together oh I guess I can just do it foreign I'll I'll start doing that afterwards once we start getting this part done the fact that it posted with a different GPU is why I'm willing to try this because we did get it to post with a lot lower end GPU so and it posted so it's not a CPU problem okay foreign problem sitting at the i o yes smoke we did so I've cleared the CMOS clear the thing I'm gonna unplug the USB 3 next but it's posted with that before Ginkgo it posted it's not it posted so it's not that's the thing that makes no sense it has posted before no that's not gonna do me any good I've unplugged the USB 3 no it didn't it posted at Code Zero Zero I'll unplug the screen next yeah USB 3 didn't do anything okay I'll try it without the uh I'll try without the uh screen plugged in nope 99 we tried the other PCI slot try this just in case I think this one I think this one might be a seating problem [Music] oh it posted guys it's posted uh you can't see it on there but it is actually posted guys it might have been posting this whole bloom in time it's posting on DisplayPort this actually might have been posting the whole stupid time it's not showing up on HDMI what if the HDMI my HDMI cable might be too fat because it keeps the keyboard keeps turning on which I was like this is weird it's like the keyboard keeps turning on I actually think it might be because this this the HDMI port can't quite get into the screen it can't quite sit all the way and so it's actually not being able to to sit all the way in so anyway it is posting it's just not posting an HDMI I can't see it on HDMI in the HDMI but the HDMI cable is like super fat so I'm gonna try this other HDMI port yeah it's just not I can't show it up on HDMI it's just not showing any HMI now what I can do let's do this let's re-get it all the way it should be see if it posts the other way with it all pretty I'm gonna go to DisplayPort let's make sure I can see it this way oh your rainbow let's verify that I can see it once I yeah okay it shows up on DisplayPort okay so I'm gonna re-hook it back up and go from there let's see if it posts that way no it's not the HDMI cord because you guys know we saw it post with the HDMI card I actually think it's just because the way this is sitting maybe okay I'm gonna fix it let's get it all pretty that's the best case scenario we literally have see what happens see what this gets up to that seems fine I I thought it was going to be a little bit worse but it actually seems okay sitting at 83 84 but I don't think it'll actually get it won't it won't get into the 90s it's got plenty of room to basically stick at the 80s so it'll probably be mid 80s no actually it was an hdcp problem guys uh there's an H couple things one uh you needed HDMI uh it wasn't working with my capture device because my this is an HDMI 2.1 and uh the DisplayPort that I have so I think it was actually working with HDMI it just I was I didn't have the setup for it this is something that's unique to Radeon that I don't have issues with Nvidia but I do have with Radeon cards because of the newer protocol and I don't think the ninjas support it so but I mean temperature wise it's looks like it's going to be fine so this is actually doing an okay job of cooling it so yeah it's actually uh unique to my studio man that's pretty oh this isn't working again why did that stop working you have to use this you have to open the thermaltake app every time to get the screen to work that'd be annoying there it is okay the panel works now you can actually see it on the panel check it out though that's kind of cool there's your T it is it is showing package Tim so there it is right there 82 83 that's pretty cool that's a nice little add-on to have there okay guys right now it's just a guy you cannot take like please I'm gonna stop don't take what you just saw out of that Benchmark with any with a grain of salt I I didn't check my settings it was running Cass it wasn't running it you know it wasn't using the right visual settings like guys it's that is a debunk totally debunk Benchmark please stop you like don't think about that because the other thing too is the game could totally be running at two resolutions there's a bunch of crap that could have been going on please don't think that that is a real Benchmark this car that's not there's all sorts of things that were completely hosed with how how Modern Warfare was running so I would not count that at all yeah take it with a grain of salt guys I'm talking Sebastian I'm talking to Twitch and YouTube that man that benchmark that's why I'm saying because yeah there's a ton of issues that could like that Call of Duty was not acting good at all yeah so I don't know what was going on there full screen on unlocked FSR 2.0 go to balanced and go to graphics save graphics then go to the preset was set to ultra extreme there you go extreme save I don't know guys I have no idea no it's guys it's not this it it's seriously it's not the it's the there's something wrong with how this thing is reading no the stream is it's not the stream because when I plug in the Stream like both I have a second monitor that both of them show they're mirrored at 1440p but when I plug it in it is basically forcing the resolution to go down to 1080P and I'm not entirely sure why it might I'm going to try doing this and seeing if it does the same thing it's the only other thing I can think of but guys this is like really like this is like really weird and some of this is gonna be unique to my setup I'll try this when I get done can I try this one more time but I'm gonna try it with we have a I have an output monitor that I output things to that I'm gonna see if this see what you guys get they're both mirrored they both say 25 60 by 1440 okay so here it is one more time 2560 we don't have the output monitor anymore okay let's just try let's let's run Call of Duty let's see what this does now guys you're you're seeing right now you are seeing 2560 by 1440. you can if if if if you weren't you wouldn't see this right it's saying display you guys see it's 2560 by 1440. and then it for this is what I'm talking about it forces it to 1080p so there's something about the handshake that must be happening with the capture card because the capture card will do up to 4K and this is not it just will not read 1440p yep I can't do anything above 20 1080p and I don't have any other monitor it's the EVGA X1 uh when I if here's the deal if I was to go like I'm not trying to not trying to bash AMD I'm not trying to bash AMD but if I was to throw an Nvidia card in here and it would work absolutely fine this is totally an AMD issue right now so and it's it's just flat out that's what the problem is because I do not have this problem you guys literally watch me Benchmark uh a couple days ago use the exact same settings with an Nvidia 4080 and I had zero issues whatsoever and this is just something I it is completely unique to AMD right now um I don't have any other monitor plugged in it's plugged into a 4K capture card and it the for some reason this thing keeps reading that it is a that it is a uh this thing keeps reading that it is a see here's here it is right here check it out uh I'll plug it back in but here it is see it's the each the xr1 cloned and it's saying look at this it's like I don't know if there's I have I turned in HTTP is not supposed to be enabled but whatever it's it's I'm going to turn it off it's not showing anywhere in terms of yeah it's saying it can do it's not showing anything in here that anything else is set so I'll restart and see if it fixes it with a reboot but I I like this is I like you guys I sometimes I can you know people get mad at me people get mad at me when I say that AMD has driver issues and then I do something like this and it's just like uh you know this is frustrating because I don't not have this problem with Nvidia gpus okay here we go we're back in looking at our display settings the resolution is 2560 by 1440 on both monitors it is 2560 by 1440. I'm going to open the AMD adrenaline software display 2 is EVGA cloned look it's okay the HTTP is disabled now okay maybe that was what it was we'll see if it was a HTTP problem you want okay there it is right there display is right there here's display two 2560 active what is so this thing this is what this this is what is weird but I don't know this is this is not something that I get on the other ones and there's nothing to change this on and right now the resolution on the capture card is 38 60 38 40 by 2160 is what's set in the stuff right there I can try it we don't have another HDMI cable I don't think anyway no guys it can't be here's the deal it can't it can't be the it can't be the HDMI cable because it was the HDMI cable then how was I able to use this exact same HDMI cable to do 4k on an Nvidia card if you guys want to I'll just throw a freaking Nvidia card in here and show you that none of this none of these issues happen that's the part I don't understand I'm not trying to I'm not I'm actually not annoyed I'm just you it's like you guys want it to be something that it's not and it's just like this isn't something I have a problem with if I was to throw a fork come on read this stupid you're not going to be now I'm going to have issues with my Wi-Fi am I wired what's going on here I can't run this son of a now I'm having network issues come on why is that something I can't do on the other one I can't do this on a Radeon and I don't know why I don't have an answer to this question so if I was to run Forza Horizon 5 now and this is this all I've done is I've go I went through I have a different device that this connects into that is usually in my stream setup which is why you were I wasn't probably seeing this issue before foreign but I I don't know if I can get this to work on the AMD system and I will try we're going to try after this because then we can actually run benchmarks now I bet you ten to one guys I'm not gonna have this problem yeah see there it is it's gone all right let me see if this will work on the other one well yeah because it's it's 4K how do you do that the captain Cosmic I'm gonna see if this will work on the HD uh eye it's there's some bug the thing that would help honestly the thing that would help is if I could get the if I could get this if I could get the amp this thing to work with my ninja because that seems to fix the problem it's something about how these gpus are oh it's still hold on let me try this again I'm gonna try something one more time and see if this maybe we'll get lucky with the Ninja it's really what I need is I need the ninja to work because I feel like if the ninja works then all these problems kind of go away okay the hccp support turned on again I'm going to restart see if this fixes it but if not we'll call it a night so the ninja what a ninja is a ninja is a specific device that I have in my in my video pipeline it I I don't have any issues with it with Nvidia but AMD because it's HDMI 2.1 I have ever I've never got an HDMI a Nvidia device to work with it I mean an AMD device to work with it uh a newer 7000 series the um the older ones have no problem and and Nvidia does too but they're not HDMI 2.1 um so and what it does is it it basically allow it's a pass-through device oh and uh I wonder does it even if it doesn't work you guys don't see anything though let me see if I you might I wonder if it still works but you just don't see anything let me see if that what it still has each stop I said don't turn on hdcp support I'm trying to turn HTTP off to see if it will work but it keeps turning HTTP back on I'm gonna give this the last go guys if this doesn't if I can't get this I just got to call it I'm sorry it's just getting late and the problem is is that for some reason it will not let me turn off HTTP so it lets me do it on the other one but I saw something interesting do you guys hold on when I do this do you see anything no okay HTTP is off okay yeah not sure anyway guys I'm sorry we weren't able to make that work um I'm gonna let it go well I'm gonna I'm gonna have to I'm gonna have to reach out to uh Nvidia uh AMD and just see what it is that will let this work with this ninja atomos because I need the ninja animals the ninja atomos will is what basically allows it to talk for some reason that lets it talk to the EVGA and then the EVGA seems to work fine um it's not a driver issue I I'm 99.9 sure it's not a driver issue because um it is in if I use it on like a a 6950 or something like that it's fine it's literally something about how that Radeon GPU uh put outputs HDMI signals that for some reason the ninja just can't read so it could be two but it's not 2.1 because I've used 2.1 but it might be the ninja can't read 2.1 so I got to figure that out anyway guys that's it for tonight super appreciate you guys for sticking out for so long we did at least get it booted we showed that the temperatures were good I mean I could run if I could run it with just without HDMI and then tell you what the benchmarks are but that doesn't really do you any good because then you can't see it um outside of that we're gonna
