in this video I wanted to compare a free version of chat GPT with the platform playground from openai so we'll try different prompts and we'll see which one gives us a better result we'll also try to use jgpt model 4 directly in the playground without the paid per version and we'll see if you actually need it or if you should go with something more custom like the playground so enjoy so to get started the first thing I wanted to do is to go to the platform.openai.com playground which is the website that actually allows you to set up your own custom chat GPT with the help of this platform you can navigate through all kinds of models here you can do the custom settings like the temperature and lengths of your input and things like this but the important note that I wanted to stay to use the playground you should have some money on your account here because with that it will not work once you put five dollars you'll be able to use the platform and it'll be charging you based on the tokens and talking is the use of the models itself so I do have the list of different prompts that I want to try I wanted to separate it into three different things so the first one is generating code so this is the part that a lot of developers will be interested in the second part is just general ideas so we'll see how good it is to generate ideas for us and the last part is the general questions so for example explaining different topics and the ability to write different texts so without any further Ado let's get started let's copy our first prompt to get started we first need to set up the system so this is the setting that will help us set up the way we want our chat to act so we can put all kinds of descriptions so for example you're a helpful assistant that helps user to generate coat so it is better to be more specific we want to be very precise about what kind of instruction we give it so with chat GPT it already has its own list of sentences written by their Dev team which is limiting charge gbt into the way how he can act and here you don't have any limits the only limit is what you can put into the system so on the right side I don't really want to touch anything here so the only thing that I did is chose the mod chat and the model and I think the basic settings here would be enough for me for now but you can of course experiment and adjust it for your own needs so let's try and put our own message here so let's click add the message we'll space it so the first one is give me a react to the list component as a single file code click submit and let's see what it gives us so it already writes the code for us and I can see that it is pretty fast I guess just as fast as the normal chat GPT but I think that it is limiting us here already so I think we need to increase the maximum length because it cut out the code here so let's try changing that and let's try again let's submit okay so it did generate us the code uh let's see what it gave us so sure here's an example of react to-do list component in a single file it also gave us the instruction on how to import this into the app what we can do is uh try to put us into the playground and see if it actually works so what I'll do is I'll go to code sandbox.io we'll click create new project here let's just try to copy the code that we have okay that looks correct so let's test let's add the thing let's add another thing and looks like we can remove things yeah let's try to do the same request but we chat gpq this time so we'll go to chat GPT insert the exact same prompt here let's click here and as a reminder I am using the free version of chat gpts let's see if it any different from the playground itself so it gave us the code here let's copy this I guess we'll replace the to the list component and let's see if it's any different so this is the updated code here so let's do the same test so we'll say this is a test let's click add let's do test to add and let's click try to remove item so for now with the basic code I see Zero difference if you're a developer you can also compare the code itself and see if it's any better but from the first glance it looks exactly the same but maybe it'll be different if we try to use something more complex than just the to-do list let's go back and try our second prompt which is the generated landing page for a programming course so with this one it'll give us the HTML I believe and it will be a bit more specific with the text so remove this and here let's update this I'm not sure if I need to specify that any HTML and CSS but let's do that good text inside so let's try to submit that so it did generate us the code but I think it again gave us the very short HTML and I guess it has to do with our maximum length limit and let's see if it's any better alright so given the code will put it into the old sandbox as we did with react codes just as we did there we'll try to start the vanilla they go from there and we'll need to have the styles.scss which you already have so let me save that so let's paste it here and let's see the website alright so this is what it looks like very basic website that has some CSS header links it has the learn to code the call to action core schedule pricing actually I like the pricing block it looks very minimalistic contact us form I'm wondering if the header works and it does so it Scrolls us to the right section I'm wondering if the basic Chad GPT version will be able to give us the same thing alright so go into the chat GPT we'll do the same exact prompt what I do like about chat GPT over the playground since the playground is mostly giving us the raw format the markdown for GSX and HTML is there but we cannot just copy it easily as we can with the chat GPT since we already have like a nice interface here where you can just click on copy code and paste it let's try to see how website looks now if we update it here I think we'll also need to ask jgbt to give us the placeholder image okay so let's refresh the website so the first thing that I already see being different is that it's looking more like the material design so it feels like I am on the Google form there is something wrong with the footer here but I'm not sure if it has to do with the open sandbox button from the sandbox but I don't think so one thing that I've noticed it's actually used in 2023 where the previous one was showing at 2021. kind of interesting since chat GPT is starting to realize that it is 2023 and not 2021 it's more minimalistic doesn't feel like a linear page feels like a Google form but it has some color it has some Shadows here to me both of them look very basic very simple but I mean what do you expect from AI at this point and so just for the sake of the experiment since I know I'm using the free version of chat GPT and we use the 3.5 turbo on our playground what happens if we use chat GPT version 4 on the playground and we'll see the very huge difference in the code so let's do the experience of using purely gpt4 without any HR GPT UI or any limitations and let's see if the code is any better so here what I want to do is change the model from 3.5 turbo to dpt4 which be much stronger than the version 3 so let's see if it is any better all right let's copy the code that it gave us and let's put it into the sandbox okay let's refresh the page and see if it's any better this time so this is what it looks like still kind of outdated design it again gave us the 2021 here it actually separated the idea of linear page into different pages and want to navigate us to the page that doesn't exist yet again now you see the full context of different models purely using playgrounds and I don't see a huge difference in the code or linear page honestly the best linking page I feel like was in the very beginning when we used the very first 3.5 model from the playground that was my personal favorite I mean it looked like the lenient page not just like a cool form or a very small website that separates the links into different pages so meanwhile let's try something that is not related to code let's try to generate some ideas for our business let's copy this problem that I have here so let's go to the playground let's update the prompt here so generate the list of five ideas for how to find clients for a web agency cleaning websites let's change the system to be your helpful assistant that helps with marketing and generating new IDs let's first try the GPT 3.5 and then we'll try the GPT 0.4 okay so here's the five ideas the first one is to offer free website audits the second one is to leverage social media platforms send industry events and conferences collaborate with the complementary service providers develop case studies and testimonials not bad and it has some description you can read more if you'd like meanwhile I would like to try the exact same prompt but with chat GPT what Chad GPT gave us is the networking events and conferences online presence and social media referrals and testimonials called Outreach and email marketing freelance platforms and job boards so chai GPT gave us something more specific like Outreach emails freelance platforms it gave us the platform names so let's see if the version 4 will be any better so the first one is online advertisement uh using Google ads Facebook ads the second option is SEO and content marketing third one is partnership and collaborations the fourth one is social media engagement and the fifth one is networking and events to me these answers looked like the first answer from the 3.5 model on the playground itself no huge difference I guess if we try to read along the lines the tax will be slightly more professional the ideas are kind of similar very broad nothing unique so I guess this is what you expect from AI from the very basic prompt alright so let's go to our next prompt which should be something more unique we would ask it to give us the five ideas for a unique app with the playground let's delete the old answer so it doesn't have this kind of context and let's put it here the system I guess would look exactly the same let's hit submit and see what it gives us alright so let's give it a look so so the first option is to create an app which is the virtual tour guide so an app that provides users with interactive and immersive virtual tours of various cities landmarks and attractions worldwise so the second one is the personalized recipe assistant and the third one is act friendly shopping assistant an app that helps users make sustainable eco-friendly product choices while shopping the fourth one is real-time language translator but I think it really exists and the fifth one is mindfulness and productivity Hub an app that combines mindfulness exercise meditation session and productivity Tools in one platform it's not too bad but I guess none of them are extremely unique alright so let's try GPT and see if it gives us anything new from this list so the exact same prompt let's hit it the first one is mindful commute companion so the concept an app that provides guided mindfulness and meditation sessions for commuters it could include audio sessions for walking driving and public transportation all right so the second one I think we already had it in the 3.5 sustainable shopping assistant language exchange Adventure gamified language learn app that connects users who want to practice different languages virtual memory scrapbook an app that allows users to create virtual memory collages ammonium photos videos audio clips and text you could use AR and VR to bring memories to life all right so let's go to the last one so AI powered personal stylist that sounds interesting fashion app that uses AI to analyze users existing wardrobe and style preferences then offers personalized outfit suggestions including birdshell tryons it could also incorporate a social aspect allowing users to get feedback from their friends or a community of fashion into that one I think is the most interesting from this list yeah the other ones I think we've seen in the previous responses so and the last to try is the version 4 with the exact same prompt so let's give it a try let's take a look so the first one here is Fitness buddy an app that connects like-minded Fitness enthusiasts of all level it could encourage communication create workout Partnerships faciliate fitness challenges and share nutrient plans that sounds interesting so local flavor I like the app name an app to promote local business by giving them a platform to Showcase what unique products or Services they can offer and also integrate geolocation services to show the user what's available around them you could offer exclusive deals or reverts for supporting these local businesses so like a Marketplace the third one is Livescribe an app that creates a personal Journal using AI can automatically capture posts from social media transmit voice notes into written words and organize photos so the first one is accurate words an app that educates and rewards users from engaging in eco-friendly actions like recycling reducing energy consumption Etc okay and language internet for language Learners that uses AI to connect individuals wanting to learn each other's languages this app could also add gamification elements to encourage daily practice and progress tracking all right not too bad so with this one I feel like the version 4 actually gave us the best response here you can feel the difference between the version 3 and chat GPT yeah let me know what you think in the comments last but not least let's go to our general questions so let's copy our first prompts from here let's change the user input our input is can you explain to me the most popular laws of physics with basic words and let's change our system settings so you are helpful assistant that helps people understand complex topics with basic explanations let's start with the GPT 3.5 and let's hit submit it gave us the three laws of Newtons so the first one is Newton first law of motion law of inertia this law states that an object at rest tends to stay at rest an object in motion tends to stay in motion unless acted upon by external Force imagine you're in the car that suddenly stops you feel yourself being pushed forward because your body has the tendency to keep moving at the same speed as the car was before it stopped okay so sounds familiar the second one is Newton's second law of motion it will not go with the third one so let's just copy the exact same problem to check GPT and see how it goes there it'll be actually funny if it gives us the exact Newton laws yeah so it gave us the exact same Newton loss but it gave us much more this time it gave us eight instead of three there so let's go through the first one and compare them because they look like their same loss of motion so Newton first law of motion what it says an object at rest tends to say at rest okay simple explanation things like to keep doing what they're already doing if something is sitting still it will stay still unless you push it if it's moving it will keep moving unless you stop it okay the second one is the acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the force applied and inversely proportional to its mass simple explanation if you push something harder it will speed up more if something is heavy it's harder to speed up or slow down to me it looks similar different examples which is good but again the answer is very close let's try the version four let's hit submit okay so based on the answer here I already see that it actually doesn't stay with just Newton it went to the gravitation to the thermodynamics Einstein's theory so but we'll go with Newtons for slow of motion inertia law this law is something called of low inertia basically it says that something that isn't moving won't start moving by itself and something that is moving one stop or change direction unless something else makes it stop or change direction the second one Newton's second law of motion f equals m a law so this one says that if you push or pull something it will move faster and the heavier it is the less fast it will move so if you push a small ball and big truck with the same strength the ball will move much faster than the truck for me here chat GPT 3.51 but as I said it before the fact that the chai GPT is and in markdown is easy to read and then as a result better to understand I mean I guess for the system we can say include markdown but in the platform itself even though it'll include the attacks for markdown like which tax to make bold it will not be bold in the playground itself but if we use external API for this and then insert it into our app I guess it'll be nice just as nice as the judge GPT itself but at this point if you're comparing the interface the PT for the win for sure and with the last one I wanted to try something with writing longer tags so to start this I would like to try the 3.5 and let's first put our input write a 500 word blog post on becoming a guru of AI you're a professional blog writer so this will be our system requirements and let's hit submit so he gave us the text I'm not gonna go through all of it because it'll be too long to read through all of the three texts that I want to compare but I guess we'll give it a quick glance and I will scroll to the video so you can give it a full look and pause if you want so let's start the title becoming a group of AI unlocking the power of artificial intelligence artificial intelligence AI is rapidly reshaping countless Industries and revolutionizing the way we live and work from self-driving cars to personal digital assistance and blah blah blah and give us the breakdown into the seven difference points that it wants to make so the first one is gain basic knowledge to begin your journey towards becoming a group of AI you must first process it sold understanding of the Core Concepts and principles so like NLP computer vision invest time and learning programming languages widely used in AI development the second one is enroll in AI courses and workshops so you can use platforms Coursera or udemy explore AI libraries and tools so libraries such as tensorflow Pi torch before is one engage in real world AI projects and the fifth one follow AI research and stay up to date so and then industry leading experts and organizations like openai itself Google AI and deepmind six is community involvement constantly iterate and innovate experimenting with new models algorithms and techniques to constantly expand your AI toolbox and the conclusion here let's put the exact same prompt but to each a GPT now what I did liked about the previous answer though is that we gave it a limit of 500 Words and I didn't count it actually but I think it was pretty short and it did the job what I really noticed from chat GPT it has the wrong numbers so it has a one one one which I guess should be increasing so the title for this one is unrevealing the past to become an iguru of AI so it also has some introduction so a similar structure I guess there's inclusion in the bottom Master the fundamentals to become proficient in AI start by building a strong foundation in mathematics particularly a linear algebra calculus and statistics so programming diving into machine learning and neural networks uh Cutting Edge research Hands-On projects and application or setting ethics and bias in AI collaborate and engage with the community teaching sharing knowledge never stop learning all right so it is kind of similar I like so far the previous response but we'll see what the version 4 gives us let's give it a look so the first thing that I noticed the structure is different so there is no more conclusion different numbers based on the start I already see that I like the title much more so climbing the AI Everest your Guide to Becoming an AI Guru so let's give it a quick glance the world is actively embracing the down of AI driven era marveling at the unprecedented advancements we are making in the groundbreaking field I mean the language that is used here is I guess much more professional acquiring knowledge is a foremost step brush up on your mass specifically statistics linear algebra and calculus as these are fundamental to understand a algorithms I think I've heard this in the chatgpt but I do like the way that it's using things like brush up on your math and not just like learn or something like this then once comfortable with the basics delve into my learning yeah again so some words that are pretty complex not commonly used the next pillar of AI you want to master is deep learning DL powered by artificial neural networks staying updated in the AI domain is immensely crucial as it's ever evolving field so furthermore developing soft skills like problem solving and communication helps you translate technical jargon into human Centric Solutions improving your Effectiveness as an AI specialist So based on this I feel like uh and yeah at the ending like you may be starting at the base of the AI Everest now but remember every Guru was once beginner happy climbing so I do like the way that it ended the text with the topic of climbing the AI Everest that it shows so it wasn't just the random choice but it actually kept the text to match the topic and it shows the word little match for me the version 4 and this context is a definitely winner I mean we asked it to give us the professional jargon and I guess if I were to ask explain like I'm a five-year-old it'll be much cleaner but when we gave it a very clear description of I needed in the professional style I mean it did the job perfectly so in the end what I wanted to say is I hope it was interesting for you to compare the 3.5 with chat gbt and version 4 and Just exploring the way that the playground works let me know what you think in the comments if you'd be interested to try the paid version of chatgpt with jet GPT model directly because from what I hear recently is that GPT is getting worse and worse and I think it is happening because the system description that it has is more limiting so people don't abuse it and here you can describe how the system should act yourself so I guess it gives you much more possibilities to experiment and I guess it can be cheaper as well like we can see how much I've spent here with this experiment itself for sure when you're using gpt4 as a model it charges more money than you're using 3.5 but I guess if you're paying 20 right now for the perversion and you're using gpt4 and you're using it rarely I guess it'll be much cheaper for you to just use the playground here but if it's something that you use a lot of the time and you need plugins then again I would suggest going to the paid version of chat GPT so it really depends on how you use it and what you need it for and just for the context to do this experiment so far we did spend 11 cents on this that way you can calculate how much it'll cost you to use it so I hope it was helpful and if you like this video give it a thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe to the channel for more videos like this for watching peace
