so hey there today i'm on the balcony oh i'm on this tiny balcony and i'll be making a pizza margarita with the unicode 16. this is a gas oven and here what we have here is a door that i bought off of ebay and it's it's it's an amazing thing to have for this oven and i'll put the link in the description and i'll explain to you in this video how this oven works and why i have the door and yeah so let's get started so first off this door is amazing to have because of heat well it's it's it's quite obvious that if you have a door um you will lose less heat and as you can see here this opening of this oven is quite large so what happens in most cases is that you turn on the oven let me actually give you a better look i'm getting still the hang of this what happens is you have the door open here and you have the flame in the back so if you have any wind here you're losing the heat this front part and that just creeps in and in and eventually your stone really doesn't reach the temperature and as you can see there is wind right now and that fire is just not constant at all the second the second i put this door back on that fire is quite constant now in the back it's not wobbly at all and that's with the lowest setting and you have a thermometer here so you can see the temperature changing you can see it rise and fall this is actually put to this right corner because the fire is in this l bracket shape so this is the lowest point this is the lowest temperature point inside this oven so if this reaches the temperature you're looking for that means the rest of the oven is at that temperature or even hotter right now i'm just waiting for it to get up to heat and when i have about 420 430 degrees in the center i will start baking hundred so the temperature difference between the center and the back with this is about 5 to 10 degrees and the front and the back is about 10 20 degrees so what the door actually does is that it maintains a better average temperature in the oven it's it's there's less deviation in temperature due to that um door blocking the heat from escaping and that's exactly what you want in an oven like this you want the heat to stay inside the oven i don't really understand why it's such a huge opening if you're gonna lose the heat all the time but with the door it works actually quite fine um the only thing maybe i would change with door is that the handle of the door is just it's just a little too short so when you actually tilt it up like this the heat coming off from the oven it's literally on your hand if this was a little longer with the angle of tilting you could just tilt it up and pull it out i mean i'm struggling less and less every single time i use it but still should be kept in mind like not everybody that's using this oven is um a professional about it like i cannot expect everyone to be super fast closing and opening that door otherwise it's actually quite nice [Music] [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] so [Music] do and what happened here is it actually caught on fire so this part was yeah it was on fire for quite a while and as you can see it's perfect on the bottom because i control the temperature quite good it's perfectly cooked on all sides and that's it so what i'm trying to say here is you definitely need a door for this oven without a door the front would be uncooked you wouldn't be able to get in there with the turning peel if you cannot get in there with the turning peel you will not be able to take the pizza and turn it in time so the back will be too hot and it will like literally cash on fire so you want the stone temperature to be hot in the front and the only way i see that that is possible is with a door like this one i will link it in the description and you can go check it out there is quite a lot of friends but this is made by a dude in germany he makes them himself and uni said that they're not suggesting that they don't they don't allow people to use doors etc in their ovens and that voids their warranty i find that to be complete yes but that's just me yeah thanks a lot for watching i will go bring this to my friend [Music] so [Music] so [Music] you
