Good to go man. We have been travelling for days, just for one location. We are at the end of the third day. We drove more than thousand kilometer, had two flights, we really put effort in it. Yes, but it's all worth it Indeed, i think it's my most favorite place ever. I hope we don't encounter unexpected things now. I still see a car down there. Lucky for us we didn't drive further, they've put down boobytraps here. Sharp pins in the ground, when you drive over it the tire will be flat. You can be sure of that. It's getting too dark, so we get out the infrared camera. All area's around us are active. I see the red light.
-Good? Yeah.
-Allright. Very obvious. When something happens, we shouldn't film. three, four, five.
-Five kilometer or what? Yes. That's safe. It's pretty deep. We are now at the hangar, we have to be quick because there are cars driving around. Come on, let's climb.
-Yeah. It's beyond epic man. Bats here. Wow, it's beautiful, let's get up. We are now sitting here, Jan and Morten are sleeping. This is the only room where there are no windows, so we are safe. It's really a matter of luck. We have heard three gunshots, but we don't have it on camera. And a car we saw with brake lights, also not on camera. But it was really thrilling.
-But not on camera. It's 02:00 AM now.
-Local time. We are pretty tired, we soon go to bed.
Sunrise is at 05:30 AM. It's gonna be a long day, but an epic one.
-And a short night, a real short night. It's the third bad night we had, I look like a zombie. But i don't care, because there's nothing better than waking up next to this. It's so huge man. It's time to get up.
-What's the time? 06:00 AM? wtf? It's 06:30 AM. I never thought we would get inside this place. If i lived here, I would visit this place every day, or at least once a week Right?
-Yeah it's so nice to look at. But on camera it's way less impressive as in real life. To give you an impression of the height of this hangar. It keeps on coming. So that's the height, insane. We should look if we can get inside, we don't see this every day Is this pepper foam? -Yes. But there's an hard surface on top of it, the inside is pepper foam. Is that open or?
-You can't go further here. We have climbed into one of the Buran's. Put it down somehere. It's pretty tight in here. Look at that. Is there an afterburner on this thing? Or are they only on figher yets? wtf is that sound? So here we are, on top of the spaceshuttle. Hell yes ! We were on top of the shuttle when we saw Jan running, telling us to hide. Cars arrived at hangar so we have keep silent in this shuttle. Not a punishment though.
-Jan can you hear me? Quite some noise for people that are hiding. Do you hear that? Jan keeps an eye on the security. Security, patrolling. Somebody is working on the train here, you can see him. Let's cook. Pasta Bolognese today. Tomorrow probably chicken. We can't take any gas on the plane, so we use other stuff. Bob, he's close, I think he comes this way! I'm preparing the drone and charge the phone. Two are going on the lookout, because it's gonna make a lot of noise. That's not the only problem, we have no GPS signal. So it's hard to fly with all those obstacles.
-Yeah with those cords. the drone costs "only" two thousand dollars.
-I believe in you. Morten and Jan are on the lookout, because security is patrolling the whole time. Let's hope they don't come here. Let's go. It ain't gonna be easy. Damn, I get a lot of errors. That was a very close call man. I saw a little panic there.
-Yes. Normally it lands automatically.
-But not today.
Do you wanna get charged as a foreign Spy.....because this is how you get charged as a spy
Here you can read more about the Buran programme, and here more info about the Buran spaceplanes.
I think I played this mission in Destiny
They should look at that abandon island in the middle of Manhattan
Awesome video, not enough footage of the cockpit. Wonder how much the accelerator handle from the Buran would go for on eBay lol
They're speaking Dutch.
It seems like a lot of parts are missing off the shuttles and I was curious if these guys took any souvenirs. If you go on eBay, there are lots of parts on sale from Russia, Ukraine, and oddly enough, from Canada.
I would love to do something like this. It's a shame that the project was abandoned. Amazing that it's all just sitting there! I love urban exploring, but never got a chance to do anything like this!
Try and guess why I watched this ;)
