Who here hasn't felt like they were cracking a code when dealing with a PDF document? I feel like we've all been there. PDFs, despite being a world-renowned
document format, for all their versatility, can be a real pain. They resist editing, they thwart content extraction, and sometimes they just laugh in the face of our devices. In my line of work, PDFs are always present. Whether its floor plans for client submissions, weekly assessment reports, or personal documents, I always find myself working around PDFs, and despite having to deal with the format regularly, I still struggle when
it comes to manipulating them. That brings us to today's video, which is
sponsored by UPDF. I discovered UPDF when I was searching for PDF editor alternatives, and I'm glad that they actually reached out because the software is just so much fun to work with, and it's very intuitive. So what is UPDF? UPDF is an all-in-one PDF Editor to
View, Annotate, Edit, Convert, Sign, Protect, and Organize PDFs across all platforms. It's available for Mac, iOS, iPad, Windows, and Android. Pretty much compatible with everything. As a content creator, part of what I do
is researching topics that I can integrate into my content creation process. I read books from credible authors and organize my takeaways into bite-sized documents which
I use as a guide when I'm shooting content. Recently, I wanted to summarize
a chapter from GRIT by Angela Duckworth and organize the concepts that
will be useful when writing my content. So in this video, I'll show you how
I'll be using UPDF to edit my document. So the first thing I wanna do is to highlight
very important key concepts that I can use -- in this case, the statement that says:
“Interest is the one source of passion. Purpose - the intention to contribute to
the well-being of others - is another.” is a very important quote from the book. I can easily use the markup function and drag to markup the quote. And of course, changing
the colors is also very easy to navigate. Next, I like to underline specific
keywords that can help me understand the concept more. I will just click on
the underline function and underline these important keywords. If you make a mistake, it's also very easy to undo them. Changing the colors is also possible,
just like the markup function. For important reminders, I add some sticky notes
on the side to remind myself about key points that can be a main topic for my content. I just click
on the annotate icon and create a note from there. Signatures are very important for legal documents,
but in this case, I'll just make an example of how I would use the signature function to verify if
I had already checked this document thoroughly. To sign a document, just go ahead and click
on this tab with shapes and go to signature. Click signature, and sign on it. After doing so, the signature is going to appear on the file, and you can just resize it and move it to your liking. And just like that, signing is easy. Sometimes, I find some errors
in texts that need to be edited, but the great thing about UPDF is that
it's totally easy to edit text. Just click on the edit PDF icon and you
can edit and correct your texts from there Adjusting images is also easy. For example, rotating the image is as simple as clicking on rotate, and if I want to resize this photo underneath the title, I can easily just drag the corners of the image for adjustments. Organizing your PDFs are also very easy
to do. To delete pages and insert pages, just simply click on this pages icon and then the icon with 4 squares on the bottom-most part will lead you to the Organize Pages section. You can also reorder, rotate, and extract pages very easily using this function. For further protection if your PDF
contains sensitive information, adding password protection is essential. UDPF has a key feature which allows you to add a password to your file very easily. This is quite useful for documents which may contain your personal details like phone numbers, bank accounts, etc. Syncing your files across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS is also a great feature making your PDF editing seamless when working on a document in your computer to your phone or iPad. This is possible through UPDF Cloud. And now, I want to discuss the most
game-changing feature of UPDF which is the AI Integration Feature. With UPDF AI, you can summarize, translate, and even ask it to
explain the pdf document for you. For example, if I want to shorten my document and summarize it into 3 paragraphs, I can easily do so by prompting UPDF AI using the summarize
function. This is especially useful for people who want to save some time reading through long documents or books. And I can see how this can be helpful for students too. I actually wish I had
access to this when I was taking my board exams. You can also use the translate
function to convert your pdf in a different language. This is an example of
a translation of the summary in Japanese. And of course, I also wanted to try its
accuracy by prompting the translator to convert it into Filipino, which happens to be my first language. Reading through it, I can say that the translation is pretty accurate. The Explain function is also very useful
if you'd like to either compress or expound information based on the contents of the pdf. In this case, I asked UPDF AI what Purpose is according to Angela Duckworth and it easily gave me an explanation in 7 digestible points. Lastly, one of the most useful features as well is the advanced AI-Powered OCR. The OCR feature by UPDF allows you to convert the scanned text of a PDF document into searchable and editable content. As a sample, this picture quote from Le Corbusier can easily
be converted into editable text. Pretty neat! In my honest opinion, having these AI features on a seemingly simple PDF software is quite useful at this day and age. And with AI being integrated into a lot of daily things, I can see how UPDF is spearheading the promising future
of PDF. Making PDFs more fun and easier to use. So why choose UPDF, and who is it for? Number one is because you only need one account for all devices. This is definitely a convenience for all users. Second, is because of its friendly
UI, which is easy to understand and navigate for most users. And third, which is the most obvious,
is because of its intuitive AI Integration. With all its packed AI features, UPDF is an intelligent companion in the palm of your hands that transcends the mundane aspects of just being a PDF reader and editor. It's an advanced tool that improves your productivity and data processing without the hassle of cumbersome systems. UPDF is definitely the perfect PDF
all-in-one tool for any professional and students alike. As well as educators of all walks. The great news is that you can get
