U.P DEER CAMP 2022 (Week 2)

foreign [Music] hey folks welcome to LG outdoors and uh deer camp 2022 it's the last week of rifle season here in the up now we didn't have much luck the first week but didn't film a whole lot either didn't get a single deer on film because we basically didn't see any deer we got a bunch of big bucks got a bunch of new bait piles I'm gonna put a bunch more out today and I'll give you a quick Camp tour here we got our sleeping area off over in this area got the whatever food and stuff radio to charge phones and have radio wood stove propane heater firewood a couple chairs bunch of stuff and guns and hunting gear and a little clothesline yeah that's basically that's basically it got some nice air mattresses it's been pretty sweet so far haven't really seen much for deer but we got a lot of big bucks on trail cam so hopefully one of those will step out into daylight pretty soon and we can slack it which is gonna hopefully be soon we got a bunch of new bay piles out like just fresh and we got some decent bucks in daylight too we just haven't been there when they are out in daylight so it's the plan we're gonna go make some put some Bay piles out with some trail cam so stay tuned oh stock in the woods [Music] okay guys we're back at camp now you can see it out over there today is actually the 24th so it's Thanksgiving today so we're gonna go home and eat some Thanksgiving some mashed potatoes and gravy and turkey and ham and stuff we'll do that and then we're gonna head over evening hunt tonight we got 13 cam trail camera set right now so hopefully they start getting buck pictures soon like most of them almost all of them have that we had out for a little while so we're gonna flash some Buck pictures up on the screen right now some of the bigger ones that we got on trail cam and some of the daylight ones too still see those foreign okay guys it is uh I don't see right after Thanksgiving meal now let's be 30 about I think I'm gonna sneak back to this bait file will anybody just drop me off on the four-wheeler in there they're actually hunting I don't know a mile or two to the west of here done some roads they're gonna be hunting over here and there ain't much people there's a lot more people hunting over there but over here there's not much hunting pressure so I think I have a better chance at a bigger Buck I don't know mostly we basically just got cameras out here so we're not really sure what there is in the area but there is a bunch of fresh deer tracks from the last time I was down the road which is like yesterday I think so I'm just gonna sneak smelling on this don't mess up or we are short of the bay pile the PayPal is getting hit up get up prices they're also just keep going and still hunting maybe find a spot to sit where there's a trail or something so yeah stay tuned hopefully we see some deer tonight okay guys that's a wrap on Hunt number one just end up seeing one blue jay that was it started raining I don't know what time it was five o'clock maybe it rained for like most of the time it finally stopped now but I've actually gonna check the SD card right now so if there's any bucks on it or does or anything flash them up right now okay guys well first dirt I'm making my way back to Camp so yeah your pack of my hunting gear here real quick move her back so yeah we'll be back at the camp and hopefully not too long okay guys we're back in the camp getting ready our game plan we got uh William over there reading book we're just listening to some music and chilling nice and warm in here it's kind of windy outside right now but our planet is going to head pretty far up North tomorrow morning meanwhile our Levi's gonna hunt his bait pile and then Will's actually gonna hunt a bait pile close to a deer yard so that's a plan for him and then I'm gonna head even farther up north than him and I hunt the spot that me and leave I found it uh there's a big scrape Big Rob big deer trail or I should say fresh or I'm not super massive but there should be some decent action in the morning hopefully you guys can get a bunch of those at least in daylight coming into his pile it's bait pile so yeah we'll see what happens so yeah stay tuned we'll see you guys in the morning hey guys it's this morning you know basically just woke up we're gonna go hit the road real quick and uh get over to our spot you guys are sleeping but we're gonna go take a little car ride to our spot and yeah we'll see get all set up there hey guys I'm back to what I want I want I'm in a pretty good spot like I drop Will off like 10 miles to the West Broadway okay up your ways further you and Levi were actually appears the other day and there was a super fresh grape Super Fresh rub in this area lots of back down to your truck because we have snow as you can see where all the deer trails are right now she's got this little opening out here in front of me kind of got some pine trees and some Hardwoods mixed together here almost like a little bit of a clear cut in front of me or open where it's not as thick senior just brought up in front of me were like three Trails across right in front of me up there so I think I'm in a good spot see there was some Red Hot bucks I know so fingers crossed we can see something today hopefully a decent box and get a shot so stay tuned [Music] [Music] okay guys at the wrap on November 25th here we ended up uh in the evening hunting not seeing any deer me will I don't mean Levi's probably too fat to hunt and he was also too fat to wake up in the morning so he didn't even hunt today at all how do you feel Levi pretty exposed yeah well seen two does in the morning I think and I saw a big fat zero so my PayPal was absolutely destroyed but somehow I didn't turn the trail camera on apparently or something so that was pretty mint there's some big buck tracks there going there too but whatever so yeah I guess that's the end of today we're gonna get all heated up here we just say leftovers today from Thanksgiving yesterday and we're gonna hit the hay and plan for tomorrow I think is Will's gonna go hunting the spot where we know a bucks bedding or where it has bedded in the past you know hunt there and we're gonna get there pretty early and hope that he gets it before the buck does and the buck comes up to his bed and we'll shoot him out of it and I'm gonna go actually hunt a saddle where they cross a mountain I'm pretty sure so yeah hopefully let me see some box tomorrow we'll see we got four days left of hunting because one day apparently we have to go haul some hay or something so four days left countdown begins until the end so yeah stay tuned [Music] you scared [Music] okay guys it's uh this morning right now I just basically just got to my spot I got three quarter of a mile hike to get out here so should be hopefully not too many people buzzing around but basically I'm just sitting on the cutout towards the top of the mountain here got up this pine tree behind me for back cover foreign but there's this little saddle that comes through the mountain up here and it's just and there's just a bunch of bunch for a bunch of deer across the mountain over here from one side to the other so that's where I'm hunting I can see pretty far down below me to some Oak to play a lot of Hardwoods yeah we're gonna watch the sunrise and hopefully see some deer this morning so stay tuned folks okay guys I'm walking back now just got done hunting I'm gonna meet up with a little back at the car but I ended up seeing zero deer big wood hunting can be really tough especially getting towards the end of gun season deer is insanely pressured so I pray lock down some thicker cover somewhere I might have to rethink my strategies here I've only seen dirty deer all rifle season and there's only a couple days left so make Lily back to the car and we'll see if we'll got any action if he saw any deer or anything at least foreign what yeah I was what yeah and then I like 9 20 a little while later another one see you in like a second I couldn't talk to the [ __ ] double so I tried rattle in like 10 20 minutes later what was blowing at me but I never seen it I don't know come on Levi Wait that was in that I was in that one stand you sat in a stand this morning yeah I was sweating my Guardians alrighty I was sweating when I got back you almost clobbered your sauce that was a smart old Bullwinkle and a little every other balloon did whatever Spike would have done oh every Spike does that look a brand even check the wind I would have checked the line there was like wasn't any wind but like I checked my one like 70 times skills grab a little orange fluff off your hat actually perk you just grab this stop it drop it just goes your direction oh it is if I didn't call I'm guessing it was the deer I see yeah [Applause] [Music] I was like I was like wait wait I don't know why I like I'm saying if you got better eyes and you saw it when it before it crossed yeah well I could hardly even see the trail too [Applause] all right the first one that I seen it was like a little like the first one was a pretty small boat and it was like 80 yards away well what first one was like 80 yards away and the second one was further no no I can still hear it walking no one smells so crunchy anything come to the gate the world's like 500 of them actually the bait was gone boy [Music] maybe I could have got a job or signed up like every once while I was kind of video apps I want to probably try to get a few years can you do cheers bro [Music] I don't know [Music] okay you're gonna get footage in this my hand's not working let's watch we'll make a pH in 4k oh heck yeah no it's well I can eat it [Music] foreign [Music] foreign oh I'll link her down they definitely don't come on Mars because my computer bro you have to charge it to get it back to going or can't warnocking if I was locking arms baby the Hogs replaced our Spike horns maybe more attackers oh okay dude it got a six inch rack I meant point one of his points are six inches yeah all right see you there goes will off to his spot he goes in a spot where we've seen Spike going on camera in daylight two days in a row and we got a cold front pushing in right now so that pushed in last night so he has a good chance of shooting a spike but I'm actually going to push into an area I've never been to before we'll see what happens down on a little scouting hunting Mission because I don't feel like driving too far after dropping wheel off so yeah we'll see what happens stay tuned as I said I'm exploring a new piece of public that I've never been on before just got over here parked the car from the access point in the trail is going to go on had a bunch of hunters already on it so over here hopefully I'm far enough away from other people and walk alone River Ravine up and we'll head into the super thick stuff and see if I can find any sign or anything it's a Parmesan look for a sign can't almost slowly walk around if I see someone might sit for a while or yeah we'll see you I don't know hopefully me or will see something we'll see thank you okay guys didn't actually end up seeing anything on this hunt so I think one squirrel it's a pretty fun hunt still though gotta explore some new ground that I've never been to before so I was pretty sweet but we're gonna I said I'm gonna go pick up Will see if he shot a buck or saw some deer so yep CPI Mackey see anything five five does the last two I couldn't tell it could have been bucks pure easy I was toronted I should have just not grunted because they just went down or one went downwind of me and one went where I like pointed the grunt call all right before I could see what they were the one upwind of me caught but they were a big body they just couldn't see their heads oh yeah and then the other one was just a dough yeah nice do you see anything heck you know not a single thing zero see any good sign over there I remember there's this Trail but that was about it okay guys it's now locked or not October November 28th and Levi's trying to interrupt me by starting the fire but we uh actually spent last night at home because we had a haul some hay today so now we're back out at camp and we got a good cold front moving too we're getting a bunch of snow I think I don't know six inches in the next 48 hours I mean not tons but snow anyways supposed to be pretty snowy tomorrow morning I'm gonna sit on some fresh streets that I found last time I went hunting not last time but last time I went to this location where I'm hunting I'm gonna sit on those Wheels gonna go up to moan I think Levi's gonna go sit and a stand that he has set up over a bay pile so hopefully the deer are moving we got a cold front that just pushed through basically so we'll see how it goes then I think after that we're gonna go evening stand and then the last day we're gonna go on a big epic tracking Expedition up north this all-day hunt until we suck a buck so that's the plan hopefully we get one done in these last two days of season rifle season here we still got Muzzleloader season in both season after that late bow so I mean I'm sure we'll still be able to get bucks hopefully but be ideal to get one in Rifle so yeah we'll see what happens I'm gonna get down read my Epic book and hopefully that's the good luck I need to slack a big end tomorrow so we'll see what happens [Music] as a rack I'm looking for tomorrow boys heck yeah [Music] okay guys I just got to the spot where I want to be this morning it's November 29th second to last day of rifle season here in Michigan but I'm in a pretty cool spot this morning actually I'm actually sitting on the edge of a cliff looking over the edge of it we got I got a big deer Cherry blow me two big scrapes like Super Fresh and I'm just got this pine tree behind me for backing for cover I don't know I'm probably good you know how I am maybe 20 feet up 25 feet up off the ground so I can see pretty good so I think this is a good spot I don't know we'll see we'll actually end up going further up the mountain so hopefully you get some Locker me or him yeah we'll see what happens I'm kind of just sitting on a rock right now overlooking this Edge and slowly starting to get bright so sit here and watch the sunrise and hopefully shoot a big buck this morning see what
