thousands of text animations in your collection  are not enough because of the endless creativity   so in this video I am going to show you how  you can create this amazing text animation   inside of DaVinci Resolve in a few simple  steps it is a clean and simple-looking   design with exciting techniques suggested  by one of our subscribers Zahid Mahmood so   without any further Ado let's open DaVinci  Resolve take a new project and get started. if you are watching this video first time on this  channel please subscribe and like this video to   help me out and if you have more topics to suggest  just do a comment below this video and drop a   message on my Instagram. alright, so here we are  in DaVinci Resolve 18 edit page and before we get   started we have to do some basic setting as usual  so click on this setting button in the corner and   set the size of this project 1920 by 1080 which is  the full HD resolution but if you want to create   this animation in 4K resolution you only have to  select 4K option from here which is the Ultra HD   and then we have to select a frame rate so in this  case I am using 60 frame per second for smooth   animation but you can select 24 or 30 frames per  second as well and then you can click on Save   now we have to create this animation inside  of the fusion page so we have to take a new   Fusion composition first so just go to the  media pool right click on that click on new   Fusion composition let's call it anything duration  make it five second long frame rate 60 and click   on Create and then we have to drag the fusion  composition on the timeline just like that and   then go to the fusion page and here we have the  media out node so just drag this media out to the   site for now and here we have two different viewer  but we need only one viewer so you can click on   the single viewer and now let's start by creating  a text node so this is the text let's drag and   drop on the flow window drag the text to the  viewer and here we have to type a name that you   like and then we have to select our favorite font  style so in this case I am using the parlo font   style you can select your favorite font style that  you like and now let's select the uh style medium   let's increase the size of the text I'm going to  set the value 0.18 which is looking perfect and   now we have to turn on the guide for the reference  so just right click on the preview window go to   guide and turn on the guide you can hold the  control and scroll up to zoom in just like that   you can set the text for better visibility and  now we have to create a three different copy of   the text nodes so select the text one right click  on that click on copy right click over here click   on paste now let's create one more copy just like  that so we have 3D print copy of the text node   so let's select the first text node and down the  text size a bit so let's set the size value 0.15   which is looking perfect now we have to hide the  first and the last character in the first text so   it's very simple we have to use the rectangle  mask with this so let's attach the rectangle   mask with the first text and let's create a  rectangular mask around the text just like that perfect and then just drag this second text  to the viewer and we have to attach one more   rectangle for the first character so  this is the rectangle let's attach   the rectangle with the character and here we  have to create a rectangle for the first one   and now let's do the same thing for the third one  because I want to highlight the last character in   the third text so this is the rectangle let's  attach the rectangle with the third one drag   the third text to the viewer you can rename it  properly so it's very simple select the text   hit F2 and I'm going to call it text to select  the third one hit F2 let's call it text three   perfect now select the third rectangle and  create a mask around the last character after   that we have to merge all the text together so  just select the merge node and here I want to   use this text one as a background this one as  a foreground so we have four different point in   the merge node so either you can simply connect  the output of the text to with the text 1 and you   will get a new merge and here we have the first  and the second title output and now you can do   the same thing for this one so you can connect  the output of the third one with the main output   and we will get another merge and drag the merge  3 to the viewer and here we have the final result   so it's very simple to connect we don't need  the merge so delete it drag the merge over   here you can add a junction to arrange these wire  hold alt on the keyboard to create the junction   so this is an optional step you can escape  the step if you want now we have to attach   the transform node with the text 2 and the three  for the first and the last character so select   the text add a transform select the third one  add a transform now select the transform and   set it right over here maybe and do  the same thing for the last character   just like that and after that we have to animate  the text so this code one frame number 180 which   is equal to 3 second according to 60 frames per  second select the transform one right click on   Center click on animate and lock the position  as it is do the same thing for transform to   and select the rectangle one and here we have  to animate the width of the rectangle so this   is the width right click on that click  on animate and lock the value as it is   go to on frame number 90 and here set the words  value 0 select the transform placed it over here   you have to do this for both the character   and finally we will get this type of Animation  this animation is a linear right now so we have   to make it a smoother just go to spline window hit  f4 on the keyboard to full screen check the first   rectangle click on fade button highlight both the  keyframes hit s to smooth or you can also click on   this smooth button hold this handle and create  a nice smooth curve just like that and now you   can uncheck the rectangle check the transform one  click on fade button highlight both the keyframes   hit s to smooth hold this handle and do the same  thing create a nice smooth curve just like that and let's do the same thing for the transform two   perfect now you can close the  spline window and let's have a look after that we have to create a  revealing line so it's very simple   let's attach our background over here this  background is going to be the line so hit   F2 on the keyboard let's call it line  header K attach a rectangle with this let's create a thin line and now we have to adjust  the height so I'm going to set the value to 0.4   Maybe perfect now you can rotate a little bit just  like that all right and select the line and set   it to white color and here this is the thin  line so we have to animate the line so just   go to on frame number 30 plus the line over here  you can set the height value Maybe 0.3 Perfect now you can place it over  here maybe just like that   so you can put the value in the round figure for a  better accurate result now we have to animate the   position so right-click on Center click on animate  go to frame number 90 and drag the line over here perfect after that we have to create a matte  so let's take another background hit F2 call   it matte and attach another rectangle this  time we have to drag and drop the line to   the viewer and just go to frame number  30. now let's create this kind of shape now we have to match the angle with the line after that we have to animate the matte  according to the line so just go to frame   number 30 right-click on Center click on  animate go to frame number 90 and move the   matte according to the line just like that  perfect now we have this type of output   but both are linear so we have  to make it smoother let's go to   spline window hit f4 on the keyboard to  full screen let's minimize all the nodes and select rectangle 4 first click on  fit highlight both the keyframes hit s   to smooth hold this handle and just create  a nice and simple smooth curve do the same   thing for rectangle 5 so uncheck the 4 check  the 5 clicks on fit and do the same thing   for this one just like that and then go to  spline window and here we have the animated   line over here and now let's merge the  line with the text but before that,   we have to add one more text with this one so  let's take another text node to paste it over here   now select the text and merge the text with the  main output just like that's very simple drag   the merge 1 to the viewer select the text and  type the first line whatever you want to type   and select your favorite font  style so I'm gonna use Gotham   set it to medium now let's place the  text over here lets down the size so I'm going to set the values 0.04 and place the  text right over here which is looking nice so this   is the first line and this is the second line  and then we have to merge the line which is the   animated line so it's very simple again connect  the foreground with the background output and   we will get the new merge 4 just drag and drop to  the viewer and finally we have this type of output   as you can see now you can down the size of the   first line as well so select the text  4 and let's set the value 0.35 or 0.3 and then we have to use the matte to reveal  the whole animation so uh let's take a new   merge node and this time we have to use the merge  in different styles so as you can see we have a   matte over here so I'm going to use the matte  as a background and the complete output as a   foreground so connect the yellow background point  with this matte and green foreground point with   this merge for drag the merge 5 to the viewer now  we have this type of a result obviously it is not   looking good because I want to use this black  section as a matte so just select the merge 5.   go to the inspector window and here we have the  operator so I'm gonna place the white section   inside of the black section so just go to the  operator and change this over to in so now the   text is only visible in the black section but we  have to invert the rectangle shape so select the   last rectangle which is the rectangle 5 and  check this option inward and now we will get   this type of output as you can see but there is a  problem over here we have the hidden area so how   to fix this a problem just go to over here on the  frame number 90 where we have created a keyframe   and just go to one frame forward in time and  then move the rectangle outside of the frame   perfect and then we will get this type of output   perfect now we have to animate the line so just  code one frame number 40 select the rectangle 4   and here we have the height so right click on  height click on animate go to very first frame   of this animation set the height value 0  and then just go to one frame number 60 right click on height click on set key and lock  the position as it is go to on frame number 90   and set the height zero we have to make it  smoother just go to spline window hit f4 on   the keyboard to full screen open the rectangle 4  first and here and check the rectangle five check   the height only click on fit button highlight  these two keyframes hit H to smooth highlight   these two keyframes hit Edge to smooth set the  CDI over here and place the handle like this   perfect and then you can close the spline window   now you can see the final result and  then we have to attach the transform   for the final adjustment so select the final  output add a transform drag the transform to   the viewer click on fit button you can down  the complete size by using this transform 3   so set the value 0.9 perfect and after that we  have to attach the media out with the main output   and then go to the edit page and here we  have the text animation as you can see perfect let's import a video file so right click  on the media pool click on import media select   a video clip so I'm using this video clip that  I have downloaded from pixels.com now you have   to place the fuse in competition on the top  layer and let's drag and drop the video clip   in the bottom track and now you can cut the  extra part and you can remove the audio as well   perfect so as you can see it's looking like this  you can adjust the video background so it's very   simple you can hide the fusion competition  first go to Fusion here we have to add a   color corrector node I'm gonna make this situation  zero let's set the contrast and set the value 1.2   gain value set the value may be 0.5 perfect  and then go to the edit page and here turn   on the fusion composition and now it's looking  like this you can down the size a bit so just   go to the fusion page here we have the  transform let's set the scale value 0.8   perfect and then go to the edit page and here  we have the final output so as you can see it's   looking like this now just go to very first frame  hit Ctrl F to full screen and let's have a look [Music] alright, so it's looking awesome and  that's all for this tutorial I hope   you guys like it if you like it then  hit the Subscribe button turn on the
