okay kitty go kitty stop Kitty stop kitty go down go backwards Kitty stop so yes this is my project related to making a uniker remote control for my deep omnidirectional car I'll walk you through the different buttons here first there's forward there's stop there's backwards there's to the right there's to the left there is uh Northeast I guess uh Southeast the Southwest directional Direction and the Northwest in addition we have these turn functions to the right one to the left and then this object uh avoidance mode that when it's on it will stop the car automatically when it gets within range of an item like that and that was one of the built-in uh modes that the original controls for this had here when the web server is not available for it to make the socket connection to it goes into this splash page while it waits for the connection to be established I'll turn on the device now it goes through that every time it turns on and I have the servo pointing forward once it initializes such that the object avoidance logic can work but in a moment we should see the remote update and I'll fast forward the video oh no no need to fast forward it it connected and now we have access and off we go nice thing about circuit python is once it's connected it acts as a drive as you can see on the side screen with that in place I'm able to quickly move code over and update it by connecting it to my computer I've picked these particular libraries as I believe they were erroring out until they were included um as I tested the existing car code I'm not sure if they're both used but it'd be worth just adding it from the circuit python bundle once you've done such once the uniker has been plugged in you can use its your connection via your computer to uh update it and also to send code over an SSH connection I've done that in this case uh but in addition to that you need to set up the Wi-Fi internet access point from your banana pie Pico and the connection rather so yes after this you'll want to set up your uniker to connect to the banana Pi picco ws3 for uh using its access point and then to send the commands so to do this you'll go to 101 2 3 that address while you're plugged in Via your USB cable to the uniker once you've done that you'll see this network settings tab and clicking on it will allow you to then scan for the Pico ws3 and then you'll use the password that you set in the code to connect to it now it took me a couple connection attempts before it actually connected I think it took me three connection attemps so just give it a chance keep trying and once it's connected you won't need to do this again even if you turn off the car it'll just uh work and in addition to that you can use the SSH connection that is created to drag and drop the images folder to the root location and which allows you to then connect speak to the code side of things on the uner side there is an import at the top it connects to the Wi-Fi access point as you can see here in addition to that after it's connected to the server it continues to try connecting again if it does lose connection it has a specific button for each of the different um actions and those buttons are set up with onclick events to send that command over to uh the other side so it's really simple and easy to augment or adjust as needed for watching my video I hope you enjoyed this and like And subscribe to see more content like this in the future thank you very much stop turning it back towards me [Music] hey you're up no good chief
