I got the neck tattoo like new this is it I gotta be a funnier because I'm not gonna drop anywhere else when I got my first tattoo I was 14 me my brother made a agreement with our mom and said we won a state title or a national title that year we would go and get a tattoo you know winning national titles and I suppose we won a national title like right mom you know you got to keep your end of the deal I got across with a ribbon tied around my back I never had highs in my life but this the first time I got done with my tattoo I was recovering in hinds still haven't touches since the day I got tattooed I have true love tattooed on my knuckles fighting is my true love is my passion it's been something I've wanted to do since I was a kid I got a grenade tattooed on my right hand kind of ongoing joke you know I've got bombs I swear once I got this tattoo the last three fights I broke my hand it was like a jinx or something but I was 18 half I had at least 15 tattoos and I started working on my sleeve my senior year but I was always very proportionate I would like to do if I get one side I'd do the other side up at the insider did this inside I have kind of a theme I have like color on this side and then gray on this side I have a variety of artwork having a traditional Japanese sleeve definitely more so I would say that realism is where I'm kind of leaning more towards I think it's just amazing that artists can like really bring something to life that you see I want to say that I'm so religious is more spiritual I feel like I have a growing relationship with the Lord and I attend church just kind of to learn more I was never raised in the church never was no you know forced to go on my left hand says only god can judge me I have a st. Michael stop in the devil and then I had on my inside of my wrist it says lived the fight and fight to live I got that when I was 18 I got a nine-millimeter tattooed on my back my buddy Nick duel it was a pro fighter growing up it was knocking everybody out like used to use Nick the savage duel he's a guy that I looked up he was on the same team he had that tattoo the first time I actually pulled you out in the fight was the Dom Cruz when I was walking back to the cabin the nickname NOLA was given to me by my uncle he was my boxing trainer he just saved me off to the gym for my first fight at 14 so I was in there sparring some of his pro fighters the end and I was gonna knock him around and he was you know hassling this kids a teenager he's showing you guys no love and it just kind of stuck yeah Cody Nolan and all those bells my moniker it's been a moniker ever since on my right bicep my love family and on my chest our family over everything I'm a huge feeling man huge part of my success and support as that came from my family helped support me and always being there for me my left bicep I have relentless I got that when I was a sophomore in high school my wrestling was relentless the way I train was really unless that mindset of being relentless in training and in everyday life just just being relentless in your pursuit of what you want to do the diamond was for you no diamond pressure you know the life's adversities the self-made I was for made myself but you know stitch with good intentions the wings are for you know it's showing there's no levels no you know sky's the limit kind of thing they don't say you're you know standards low you know rise above guys so I got it tattooed on my neck that was a good idea you know my mom nearly killed me with a neck tat so I you know do the face she likes it now but they're like a two week grace period why didn't come home remember I walked up to her I had my guard up I think that she gonna swing on me and she came up looked at it she does look so bad I think everyone has a tattoo that they were great kidding I like chess I'm not happy the way it turned out I put lord have mercy above it and started doing the dove and this is like four or five different people that worked on this the chess piece who plan on fire doing some laser sessions to get it off and reshoot something on it but hey it's on there so it's and I can do you actually just from Ohio tats that's funny story is when I went to my college visit was in South Carolina and blueberry college it was the end of the year we were like this party they were all drinking and having a good time I like to get a tattoo and there's a guy there that was given tattoos end up getting a state of Ohio the outline and it says Ohio's finest on top of my foot and ended up signing with that school and going there for a few months before I we're true I plan on getting my whole back down I have so many different projects and and art pieces that I want to get but you know with training and fighting it's hard so how I received the left side of my cauliflower here was my brother we fought growing I mean we fought over food anything I mean we were just competitive I had a 12 inch sub my gran was my boxing coach was like right across the street and waiting worked out hey grandma don't exactly two sandwiches so I come in for my workout and I Baker I go up in the fridge and it was gonna be a girl's award I see how much girl she's such a sweet little lady said oh I don't know I didn't see it I'm like oh [ __ ] you're Zack I look and there's acts on the lazy boy kickback like hitting his stomach that [ __ ] was good he jumps in the truck his truck takes off so I jump in my truck I already knew we were it's going it's a man Zack went out there old dirt road and people living [ __ ] out of each other for about 40 minutes he hit me in the ear and I remember just hearing like boom and it's like my ear was like and the fact it felt like whew just all floppy huge I'm like dang like that's definitely caught fire everybody was still fighting who fought forever so that's small-town [ __ ] but that was the last time we fought we thought it was all cool when we were younger like fifth grade caught fire it looks so cool I mean it hurts like a [ __ ] when you get it but yeah I'll take it every fight is personal to me another adversary that's trying to steal a dream away from me that I worked so hard to get so there's always that emotion factor but it's been a setting in the day you know I go out there and just do my job and have fun like I truly love fighting at you truly love the challenge you know train for the fight I know that was gonna stop me [Music]
