first fight between these two gentlemen took place in Perth in February DC many people believe one of the more compelling fights thus far of 2023 absolutely and many people believe that Alexander bolanowski did enough to get the job done but mahat feels like it wasn't as close as it was thought to be but banovski was able to do something we have not seen people do against Islam and that be competitive but over long stretches Islam was able to control him but the visual that you remember is Alexander banasi at the in the round five in the ground bomb position winning against mahat absolutely and Alexander thinks okay well this is round six moving forward for this rematch and it's so much more interesting now right Alex taking it on short notice but Islam also preparing for Charles Ola switching opponent completely different strategy completely different game plan but that's why these two are going in there to prove who is one of the best pound for pounds because they've got to show that fight IQ they've got to show who can make the better adjustments and we're going to find out who's better and don't get it twisted Islam makash have wanted this rematch in the worst way he feels like there's a false narrative after that first fight we'll see if he can be dominant tonight as we show you some numbers on our UFC 294 Headliners volkanovski does land more significant strikes per minute and by a substantial margin makash have's slight Edge in terms of the accuracy his takedowns were a factor in the first fight we will see how it plays out folks in a matter of hours live on pay-per-view all right co-main event here at UFC 294 full of in as well Paulie the former UFC welterweight champ kamaro Usman stepping up on short notice no less to face the world beater Hamza shimaya man this guy is scary John and the more that the fight week has gone on this week the more I'm super interested in this co-main event hamzad is one of the scariest guys in the UFC he's so aggressive he can do everything he's got power in his hands he's aggressive with his wrestling he's you know amazing from Top he's got some missions he's shown that he's willing to fight anybody and he's taking on kamaro Usman the former welterweight champ one of the greatest in the UFC at welterweight history this one's going to be incredible and he does not seem worried about it at all DC jamayah is an absolute Savage but kamaro Usman I was interviewing him the other day and he said when in the world we get to a place where I am done he goes two fights ago I was beating the champion kamaro Usman is intent on not only winning the fight tonight but showing that he is not slowing down he wants to prove that he is still that dude how do you prove you that dude you beat one of the hottest prospects in all the Mixed Martial Arts you beat one of the guys that is thought to be a future Champion kamaro Usman has tremendous skills he's extremely well-rounded and he has a level of Championship experience that hamach Chay has not dealt with before in the Octagon that's well put DC and this is a fight that Kamar Usman wanted in the worst way perhaps with them some different circumstances but he gets it tonight as we show you the main card don't forget 2:00 p.m. Eastern on ESPN plus pay-per-view among the highlights at middleweight e Allis car of takes on warley Alves we between Nathaniel wood and Muhammad naimov the UAE Zone Mohamad Yaya set to make his UFC debut against the electric Trevor Peak and the featured prelim top of your page at Flyway pits the veteran Tim Elliott Against The Undefeated 23-year-old Mohamad MV all right ladies and gentlemen ready to begin the festivities the fisticuffs here in Abu Dhabi great to have you with us for 294 Brazil's Bruno Silva opened up his UFC career with three successive Knockouts today blindado has traveled to Abu Dhabi to face off with Russian sensation Shara bullet Mago one of Russia's most promising up incomers shotam medov has a lot to live up to as he makes his UFC debut tonight but with 11 Pro wins no losses and 10 wins coming by way of knockout magedov has the talent power and confidence to make his Mark in a wideopen middleweight division looking to spoil the party enter fellow knockout artist Brazilian Bruno Silva whose striking game has led him to 20 finishes in his 23 career wins with neither Wellington Turman Jordan Wright nor Brad tavores making it out of the first round with blind coming up next it'll be sha Shara Bullet magedov versus Bruno [Music] Sila for Bruno Silva tonight represents the opportunity to get on a trajectory pointed toward success in the octagon and in his own words become a completely different Fighter the Brazilian told me that this was the most unique training camp of his career which came with its own challenges and one major Focus to work on his kickboxing in fact the 34-year-old joked with me saying those kicks are sure fun to throw but they are brutal to receive but it's not just the physical that the striker has honed in on he's doing a lot of work on his mental with a sports psychologist learning how to use his aggression to his benefit in fact guys they watch back some of his old fights to see where he could have used emotion to actually benefit his performance experience for Bruno Silva 8 UFC appearance tonight 23 and9 overall he has never been knocked out and I shared a private conversation with him DC after his loss to Brandon Allen was really disappointed just given the magnitude of that career opportunity he said I hope the UFC liked the show and he's back on the horse tonight trying to write that wrong so to speak yeah absolutely but that's one of the things John that he said he is no longer worried about the show it's about getting a victory he has got to win first and foremost he said now when looking at Char bullet he he didn't know much about him but he said I went and I started to take a peek at what he does he's a guy that throws a lot of kicks but he feels like that's it and that's mentioned he had a different camp in preparation for this guy because this guy is unique he's a very different type of fighter to get prepared for but Bruno Sila with this new mentality this new approach win first feels like he's going to be on his way to really getting his career going in the right direction Paul yeah and I think if he can go in there and keep the fight close in that boxing range he can really do some good damage in there because sh bullet does use it fantastic kicks a lot of them that Taekwondo style but he's got a good Muay Tha background he started in boxing so I think this is going to be in close it's going to be ugly I'd be curious to see if Bruno Silva decides to try to go for takedowns because sh Bol also from dastan you know he's working with tons of dudes that have been trying to take him down for most of his [Applause] career [Music] all right so the much hyped UFC debut has arrived for shot of bullet magedov turn pro back in 2017 he was actually a soccer goalie growing up there was a brawl on the field at 13 and that's when he discovered that he could strike in can he ever PA he quite the highlight reel for shot of as he makes his UFC debut oh John I've had so much fun watching this guy's highlights watching this guy's fights started in that boxing right so he's got powerful hands but then he was talking to us this week that that wasn't enough weapon started doing Muay Thai wanted to mix things up and then I asked him well then where did all these axe kicks come these Sidekicks come he just studies these things and adds them into his game so he can add new weapons to his Arsenal and he is scary dangerous guys knockout power in his hands unbeliev I mean knocking guys out with ax kicks side hook kicks like traditional style kicks right kicks to the face he's fun to watch he talked about how his his wrestling for dagani is you know it's average it's okay but we said well for the rest of the world that means you're a pretty damn good wrestler DC well Paul you want to talk about an intense guy when you talk about sh bullet you watch him fight he's fun he can knock you out he put you out but dude was a kickboxer he said when he would take vacation for kickboxing he go to Dagan the wrestle I mean who goes to Dagan the wrestle to get away from kickboxing yeah he like a vacation for him to go out there this guy competed at a high level on the National Junior boxing scene in terms of fighting in Russia his coach said that he is 70 and0 in reality this record that you will see on the screen is not real he said he fought Grand PR John one night tournaments that they ultimately turned to amateur that aren't CED he said but he's 70 and0 I kind of believe it there's a lot of footage on this guy on the internet he defeated blood diamond in a kickboxing setting back in 20 2019 and this matchup really appealed to him for more reasons than one you know Bruno Silva has a pretty good following in Russia as a former M1 Global Champion but you just can't teach Charisma and it really helps to have some in modern day mixed martial arts Shara bullet has Charisma all right let us catch you the tail of the tape for the middleweights Sha bullet minus 345 the betting favorite as he arrives at the UFC debut he's 29 Bruno Silva is 34 2 in the Gap in height it is a 1 in advantage and reach for the Brazilian Bruno Silva all right now for the introductions we say hello to Bruce Buffer ladies and gentlemen we are live from the edad Arena on YZ Island in Abu Dhabi for UFC 294 makev versus wowski 2 and now this fight is three rounds in the UFC middleweight division introducing first fighting out of the blue Corner a striker holding professional record 23 wins nine losses he stands 6 feet tall weighing in at 186 lbs fighting at a AA Brazil Bruno blindado cha and now introducing his opponent fighting out of the Red Corner an undefeated mixed martial artist holding a perfect professional record 11 wins no losses he stands 6'2 in tall weighing in at 186 lbs fighting at a d Russia sh bullet M and when the answer begins our referee in charge Jason Herzog as good as any referee in the business Jason Herzog with us in Abu Dhabi Jenny Andra is here glad you are with us for the UFC 294 prelims today on ESPN plus and YouTube as well Bruno Silva the plus 275 Underdog at close on draftking Sportsbook sh B swatting away the Flies as he begins his UFC career shot of Mak medov in red Silva counters in white just keep a look out for meel Med off's kicks you'll see ax kicks you will see side hook kicks spinning techniques a lot of spinning back fists and he sets them up very well but Bruno Silva power man Power in those hands and Silva fighting Southpaw here early on Silva putting him on his heels when you have a guy that likes to throw all those Dynamic strikes if you can get him backing up it doesn't allow for them to set up those spins while there's still a lot of danger it's very dangerous to allow for him to dictate to youa with a pedestrian attack to the body he's mes messed with the footwork a little bit early on giv different looks to magov [Applause] nice little back Feld kick to the body for Silva nice combo by Bruno got to think that sequence will give him some confidence about a minute on by round one and that's him out of the Southpaw stands John something different that we are seeing from Bruno Silva I'm wondering if what he wants to try to do is to get maged off to to try to attack the legs with his lead leg so that he can counter with that left hand instead of being in the traditional stance in Orthodox where he can't cover as much distance it really does change the kicking whenever a guy is South it's hard to get that low leg kick going now you can hit the outside kick but even Char bullet throwing those kicks inside so hard is crazy cuz if he checks oh goodness oh now a knee appear to partially get through Silva in recovery mode two minutes into this one I'll tell you what got through was that head kick eyes nowhere Silva ate that I I got to give credit to that chin there's a first takedown attempt I think we're going to see more of that moving forward he has to he has to he's getting his legs beat up too he's got to at least close the distance guys he can't stay out here in this kicking range now granted he could counter some of these kicks but he's got to have better timing oh man he got away with one there look at that look at the outside of his leg already right oh man it's so hard to get that much power on outside leg Yeah from look stance lead leg this is what he's he's got to be a little more polished there though he's leaving his chin up a bit but he landed there R was able to land a couple good strikes there yeah Silva realizing some success with his hands but the bigger shots have certainly been reserved for the russan thus far under two minutes here to go round one m off back to work you ran into that one yeah that was nasty this dude can strike man it's crazy cuz we're seeing guys like charl bullet and we're seeing guys like R when they come in there so polished and ready to fight right now this sh bullet is is very skilled oh I mean he's good B D's pretty good J well when you saw that betting line you certainly had an inclination as to what the odds makers felt about this UFC newcomer and if he doesn't have 70 professional flights he certainly came to the UFC with a wealth of experience yeah that's like the ankle bone right on the uh twig and berries yeah definitely got him Bruno's not lying for sure oh man that almost stuck his toe in his eye too with that head kick and Bruno's been in there with the best right he fought Alex Pereira very competitive DC while we have a moment we're going to rck that head kick for you the most significant strike of this first round thus far just kidding we're not going to do that seconds to go in the round but even when shot a bullet walked into our fighter meeting with a little bit of an Entourage just seemed like a guy no nerves who had been there who had done that kicks putting everything into these [Music] kicks oh oh left H got through there we haven't seen the axe kick yet John I'm dying to see that AC I I want to see it too under 30 seconds here to go in round [Music] one just showing really good patience too for somebody making their debut oh that's a big now a left Wayward spinning attack on the counter for magedov jab from Silva body kick from magedov things are heating two [Music] [Applause] next hey hey hey just breathe that's very good man freaking good but play attention listen the the hand this is hand fighting he does not have boxing for you you need to stall him you you need to just stall his effort think of the third the third movement you need to faint first then go faint and that's the third movement that's where you get him do not listen okay here's some looks at the kick oh beautiful shin and then a nice onew right behind it sha bullet had him hurt bad in this but Bruno Silva showed his toughness worked through this had his leg torn up quite a bit big leg kicks that from sh bullet switching to the Southpaw stance so that he can attack that lead leg but obviously we saw the round end that's it that's it get his [Applause] nose well this Wednesday power slap is back power slap five will feature four title matches and that includes the slap Legend Wolverine taking on The Undefeated lightning rod Austin Turpin power slap 5 Wednesday October 25th for more information go to Powers slap.com now all right here we go round two shot a bullet in red Bruno Silva's in one and I think guys after the way that first round ended Char bullet's got to stay back start using his kick game more look at the right leg though purple yeah there you go Paul yeah this this and this is where I've seen him do his best work is at distance these side hook kicks attacking the legs setting up his spinning attacks he's got good boxing but you saw him get wild there he started to brawl with Silva and that's best case for Bruno Silva yep looked like Bruno tried to momentarily check a kick there he's starting to break brutal down man starting to break him down at the body on the legs it won be I mean Bruno won't be able to take too many of these kicks it's on the thigh I guess yes that's exactly what I was going to say John the one thing that he's lucky for is that he's not kicking him in the calf there so are you guys sitting down between rounds when you have leg damage I think you stand up y oh oh my goodness that momentarily frows Silva as you see the strike discrepancy hey you know what he's got to do now though Paul as he starts to get touched up and beat up he can't start watching if you stop throwing and you're kind of just waiting not against a kicker no not against a guy like this if you start waiting he will eat you alive maybe throw some faints try to get these kicks drawn out ahead of time from Chara bullet try to count man the way he sets up that KNE head as well there's a spin that was close he I mean but you can see in Bruno's body language man he's starting to kind of falter and sometimes it's physical sometimes is the mind right you're like man this dude is beating me up because he's when you're a fighter and you're a tough guy you don't want to get beat up right now he's actually getting beat up right and you and you start to kind of sense that like man this guy's kind of beaten on it's a new feeling for a guy like Bruno and that's why he stops throwing as much good front kick to the body as we set off the top Bruno Silva has never been knocked out that Trend in some danger or so it would appear you know John Sher bullet he uses his kicking game like a boxer uses their punching as strikes right he uses that lead leg like a jab he's got Arsenal with the back leg that is his power shots I mean he mainly K there's a nice taked down oh and Char bullet immediately goes to work with the elbows his Corner had called for more activity they felt like he was giving Bruno Silva a little bit of a respit there just over two minutes here to go in round two of a possible three these are really good elbows from the bottom here from this was exactly what brutal needed he needed to get him down changed the fight a little bit now he's got to make it count oo big up kick it looks like Bruno has a cut in his hair yeah KN going to have more than one if he keeps staying here he's got to posture up try to get some ground and pound he's got to try to hurt Michel medov that's a nice he's beating him up from his back at the moment that's wild he's aggressive bro Bruno can find no place to rest just the second time Bruno Silva has gone for a Tak down and secured one in the UFC and this guy figures to turn a lot of people into wrestlers when you that's just going to sayn when you start to see Bruno Silva turn into a wrestler look at how the blood start to come through his hair now yeah he's although magov has got to get up off his back ey on this he doesn't want to get up now Bruno needs to hope that he's starting to fatigue a little bit cuz look Char's bleeding on the eye too is he cut yeah it might be I thought for a second it might be just Silva's blood but that's definitely his eyebrow he's still winning this round in my opinion from his back with the amount of striking that he's doing although these are some good shots here Bruno s's got to get more busy but I don't think he wants to stay in too close because that's where all these elbows are coming from but he's had some success in the ground PP has landed too landed some really good shots from the top and he does have top control another nice Connection by Silva yeah many many shots like this to end this round wow oh man just wow shot a bullet emptying out all the tricks in the debut round three on the other side okay just clows his way don't let him come through put the ice on his back now wash your mouth out drink a little bit drink drink breathe out right here you see sh bullet throw a blind kick Bruno is able to time it to take him down sha immediately starts hitting him with elbows Cuts Bruto in the hair and look at a Paul he's even arching it right he's kind of arching the elbow now look at this kick that looked like some stuff I did to Paul in the training session that we had the other day that's what I did to Paul off my getting high crch on Paul you had to I hit Paul with that still sore from that one well be the first to know about new products and sign up to receive 10% off your first online order scan that their QR code now to save some exclusion supply shop the widest selection of UFC gear only at UFC store.com couple of true Fighters here ready to engage in this third and final round shot a bullet and Bruno Silva yeah that's a fun way to open up this card two really good Strikers these kicks are so nasty man oh oh another good time that me it went low but I'm taking it V Sila I don't care I'm not arguing about that one I got another Tak down no showing some holes in in in magamed off's game here no no setup right so for so many so early in the fight he was able to land all those kicks so he kind of got comfortable throwing them blind now Bruno's timing him Char bullet cannot stay here for the rest of this round like he way too early in this third round at least in the second round he had done a lot of damage early on and then didam damage from his back but now Silva's willing to take that damage on top to try to get some ground and pound and maybe get this round and John you spoke about Bruno Silva never getting finished this is why he is so tough man the fact that I thought he was starting to check out is crazy he's got real he's got like a foot tattooed on his thigh but still going strong and we'll see if mamedov can hip Escape or if he's just content to strike off of his back yeah off's Corner screaming for him to try to get to the cage so that he can wallwalk up he cannot stay here in guard close guard at that and and have a ground fight here with Silva he's got to do that he's got to hip escape and now instead of just going for these Up Kicks he's got to try to take those opportunities and that separation to get back up to his feet well he's had chances he has had chances to get back to his feet every time Bruno goes to posture and goes to get Space to land something big sh can use his to push him away and try to stand up he just hasn't done that and now Bruno's starting to get into the grapp and that was beautiful notice what Bruno's doing he's attacking Char's right left leg like he's going to pass right but instead he steps over in the half guard it's nasty pass that he's doing distractions man that's the key to jiujitsu and you got to acknowledge the cardio base really on both sides but for Silva to have absorbed this type of damage and still have this output laate is impressive crazy he's got now he's got that leg now he's got both legs back see how Silva keeps elevating that one leg he's got to try to get that back so he can get his knee on the mat just like that and you get back up nice work there but nice uppercut by oh that was a long time on his back though lot of time and for a guy that strikes at this level the more he has to Grapple the more he will fatigue oh elbow got [Applause] through nice shot by he's playing posum with his hands up knowing that sh is going to go crazy he's using Char bullets uh aggression aggression against him and this is not against a world class wrestler right these are going to things that the rest of the division is going okay you're scary on the feet right but I'll take you down right two minutes to deci side of champ he also has a willingness to lay on his back and that's going to be where he has to change what he has to change not the work I'm going to stand you he's just got to have a bit more awareness right when you're fighting at the highest level here in the UFC you're not going to get away with that you can't just stand and start piecing guys up and not think that they're going to level change hey we we we all love Jason her do but he can't stand them up already that's very fast the crowd's booing but of course they're booing they want s on he's working let him fight nice right hand there that'll B him some extra time this is the perfect spot guys where they're out in the middle of the Octagon right now he's got all the space which means even if he gets separation tries to get up there's no cage there to support you on the way up that's why his Corner earlier is screaming get to the fence get to the fence cuz it gives you an aid to get back to your Char bullet damage early in round two May save him because he lost round three but in round two Bruno had him down for 2 and A2 minutes I just believe that he got beat so bad early in that round that he win but he has got to correct it now we do have a lot of experienced referees and judges with us we do have some inexperienced judges though so you just never know what those're being told there's over 6 minutes of control time for Silva and a lot of times judges believe that when a guy's on top especi if he's Landing he's winning yeah if you're doing damage you are yeah certainly going into this third round round it appeared as though Bruno Silva needed a finish it does not look like that will materialize he did secure three Tak Downs I fck to Bruno Silva for being so tough man he is tough oh a punishing strike from shot of bullet to close it out what a warrior Bruno Silva seemingly in defeat but shot of bullet has arrived outstanding performance in his UFC de will get you the scorecards on the other who said it's impossible who it's impossible impossible midle coming up later today on pay-per-view Abu Dhabi had some late shakeups but many believe UFC 294 looks even better now makv and volkanovski rematch for Legacy and the lightweight title also alltime great kamaru Usman moving up to middleweight to challenge hamzat shimay year he does represent Shanghai but some valuable experience ACR in the Octagon tonight and he exits 12 and0 after make it good on the UFC debut well you talk about hype in advance of a guy make it his UFC debut enter Alexander volan there's no joke about this kid I'm excited to see what he can do because this area of the world is really really hun on this guy and I think he's very very deserving here is volkanovski for his first UFC badowski with some killer thown and pound here that's going to do it Alexander banovski I wasn't happy just to make the UFC I want to hit these top ranks I'm going to shw through whoever they want me be let's see me take out that featherweight division so it all comes down to this Alexander volkanovski trying to become the first Australian born fighter to win a UFC time o max out a little bit of a limp there the early leg kick numbers encouraging for banovski he adds to that total there again hard low kicks too oh oh we stunned him with that left hand one of the greatest featherweight runs of all time in danger of coming to an end no we've had great champions in this division Aldo great respectful Champion Max great respectful Champion I promise to be a great Champion too Australia look at this I'm bringing it back home [Music] baby well he's been more than a great champion and we are continuing to celebrate 30 years this year with our changing the game since 1993 campaign a year-long celebration that'll include Live Events enhanced fan activations an immersive digital Hub dedicated social content and much more the campaign highlights UFC's groundbreaking success and unrivaled history over the past 30 years all right now with more on the Volkman we send it back over to me o lead hey thank you so much John well Alexander volkanovski has been chomping at the bit to get get this rematch with Islan makev in fact as you guys at the Octagon can attest when we spoke to him this Summer he was talking to us about hopefully being able to see Islam again sooner rather than later but as fate would have it this fight manifested itself on just about 12 days notice but make no mistake that is not the amount of time that Alexander banovski has been preparing for Islam that loss was a really tough pill for him to swallow so as soon as he was walking out of the Octagon this past February he was already thinking about things he wanted to change and adjust he's been working on those minute details of his game every day in the gym to make him a better overall athlete but really ensure that this time around it is his hand that is raised it's all about adjustment and adaptation in this game and while volkanovski gave all the credit in the world to the lightweight champion Islam he said I don't necessarily think that's the same case for him I don't think he's a guy that likes changed but one thing is for certain Alexander volkanovski does not have time to waste he cannot play it safe here he told he has to immediately bring the fight to his opponent the motto is not kill or be killed it is land and then avoid any returning shots this is a very tall task but it feels like if anyone can do it it's Alexander the Great guys all right Megan thank you very much it all goes down tonight live on pay-per-view mhev and volkanovski rematch for the lightweight title and Legacy as well also the alltime great Kamar Usman on short notice moving up to middleweight to challenge the otherw worldly kamam zachi mayab UFC 94 available for purchase not now but right now on ESPN plus ufc.com ppv everywhere else around the world all right we will keep it moving couple of talented strawweights looking to take advantage of the big card Spotlight today determined to be the first to put a mark in Victoria due to koba's Lost column jinu fry has the skill set and Savvy to do it we'll see what the betting favorite dudova has to say about all that after earning a UFC contract on season six of Dana White's Contender Series last year Victoria dudakova extended her perfect record to 7 and0 with a 34 second win over Estella Nunes in July now she is back and ready for her stiffest test today in the form of Jin you fry intent on showing du toova she's a level above when it comes to competing in the UFC fry makes the walk for the eighth time here tonight and after sharing the octagon with the likes of Gloria deala Ashley go and Vanessa demopoulos she believes she has the tools to upset the rising star from Russia coming up next Victoria dudova squares off against Jen U [Music] fry you all right so here's jinu fry making the walk for her eighth UFC appearance the last three have not gone exceedingly well but she has so many skills and still a lot of motivation at 38 years of aged as the former Invicta FC atomweight Champion little bit of a switch up in the corner Chaz Skelly now alongside Doug fry and we'll see how it goes for her here tonight paie and what is a pretty interesting stylistic match up with Victoria do the C yeah I mean jinu fry shown that she's got skills everywhere she's well-rounded good good kickboxing very strong physical but obviously she's got to try to put it together she has not had a lot of success in her last few fights she's got to go out there and try to avoid the grappling heavy attack from her opponent right that that's been problems for her she's got to try to keep it in that boxing kickboxing range but set things up if you're going to throw kicks if you're going to strike you've got to put some faints out there try to draw out some of those takedown attempts from your opponent so you can try to counter it's a big octagon she's fought a lot in the you know in the Apex in the smaller cage now you've got all this space space to work work with really try to take advantage of that and use the uh the real estate that you have absolutely and and it was just like the last fight Char bullet was not setting up his kicks so he was able to get taken down jenu Fry has to make sure that before she does him like you said Paul puts up in front of it but I saw jenu fry this morning in the the hotel and when you're up against it as she is you can be stressed she was sitting there calm yeah having fun smiling I made a few jokes with her and uh her tournament and honestly it was good to see someone so relaxed under these circumstances because then you can release the pressure and by having no pressure you can go out there and have the performance you expect from yourself bunny got loose in up well I was trying I was running from the golf course it was so D [Music] hot all right so a pretty intriguing young Talent here in the strawweight division 24-year-old Russian Victoria dudakova now DC you were there for her UFC debut against Estella Nunes when her opponent got injured on her first takedown attempt so that only gave us 34 seconds of footage a lot more on the contender series which was not a perfect performance she did make some mistakes but she had a torn ACL surgery thereafter and a lot of people are pretty bullish on her chances to make a little bit of a run here yeah she's very good fighter and John even looking back on the nunz fight when nunz got hurt she goes I kept hitting her because the referee told me don't stop but do I pull you off of her so she just kept going she's an absolute Savage in the oon very well-rounded but she missed weight yesterday by6 lb and decided not to attempt to cut the remaining weight to me I don't like that I feel like if you're that close within a pound you got to go and try now I don't know how depleted she was I don't know how much she came down from but it's in those moments of adversity where we learn about the fighter to get back on the horse and at least try Paul point six even at the very end should not take that long and I know we shouldn't harp on these Fighters cuz they're making the way but we went through it and I feel like if we don't we're a bit letting her off the hook no I and I don't like that I think we absolutely should harp on these Fighters that don't make weight right this is your your first job to get on that scale and be a professional there's weight classes for a reason and there's a reason you're supposed to make them um and especially for a young Talent like she is she's got so much potential in the UFC 7 and0 undefeated showed those skills obviously that last fight bit of a fluke but it was because of her takedown that the arm got injured the way it did and we saw her ability to take Fighters down and in the contender series use her ground and pound use her scrambling but stay on top it's a shame to see her Miss weight she's not as fast in the water as Paul Felder but she does have a master of sports in swimming that was really her first great sport she just had average height and that kind of held her back certainly has some size in this UFC strawweight division all right with that back let us get to the tail of the tape for the straws Victoria dudakova a 5 to one favorite she is 24 Jin fry is 38 dudova 2 in taller we highlight the weight Miss for dudova who will have a 2-in advantage in reach as well all right now for the particulars back inside above ladies and gentlemen this fight is three rounds in the UFC strawweight division introducing first fighting out of the blue Corner a mixed martial artist holy professional record 11 wins nine losses she stands 5' 3 in tall weighing in at 116 lbs fighting out of Arlington Texas USA Jen you FR and now introducing her opponent fighting out of the Red Corner an undefeated mixed martial artist holding a perfect professional record seven wins no losses she stands 5T 5 in tall weighing in at 11 16.6 lb fighting out of VR Russia Victoria [Music] dudova and when the action begins our referee in charge Dave mahti we'll go with Dan mahti who will be the third in the Octagon Victoria dudova thank you red day La Cruz by the way Victoria dudova loves Valentina Shi enko not just as a fighter but just her versatility as a human being I heard dudakova say a lot about that this week did model her game a little bit after Ronda Rousey so we'll see how she chooses to proceed tonight as a heavy favorite against jinu fry fry is in the all black dudova is in the black with white dudova sparred exclusively with southpaws to prep for the Lefty jinu fry oh nice right hand by dudova fry counters to the body three times jinu fry has gone the full 25 minutes lot of Championship experience under the Invicta FC banner and she'll have to rely on that experience tonight ah here we go nice work Proby able to stuff that first take down to 10 good early sign due to kova clinch is pretty outstanding as well and looking at jinu fryan like her shoulders and how strong she looks she fought at 105 I know that would be like an amazing cut and how big she'd be way down there well and that's actually been part of the issue right at straw weight is that she hasn't had that size advantage that she enjoyed down 10 lbs fried two and five through seven UFC starts man is she smart though I get intimidated when I look at her academic background nice shot to the body from fry BS in radiologic Sciences she's got an MBA as well an ASAS in nuclear medicine you know what that is Paul no idea what it is I meant to look it up you know what's crazy about that is that she's so smart that chose this as a career like you you can be as smart as you want the book and it just goes to show you though that it's in the human Spirit to want to do this does it not yep cuz she could be doing anything smart woman and chooses to fight the cage look for dudova to try to wrap there and circle genu fry off the cage genu fry did a really good job attacking the underhook and lifting by squaring her up it kills that angle that you get whenever you step around to the side move it move you're strong here babe you got H around fry Corner enjoying that advancement left hand lands partially for dudova doing a good job of ping in combination D to kova still seems a little bit unsure of how she wants to approach the fight she's going to have to choose a path very very quickly it was a little surprising to see a number as big as plus 380 next to the name jinu fry just given the experience and maybe the lack thereof on the other side hands high good combination from fry coming up on two minutes to go on the round clash Clash ahead yeah oh yeah that seemed to yeah that can rattle you back it looked like she stepped in with a headbutt she's she's hurting yeah it looked like she stepped in with that like with her head it seemed like d to K wanted to change level right but then because genu fry was going down you see her WIS immediately and really a nice job by Dan mahti to uh saw that get the middle of that right yeah great job do you remember that one official we had here when somebody was like getting murdered in the Octagon he wouldn't stop it he dies he dies who was that it was bad I wonder if he's going to be back no I don't I don't think he will be that was bad I can't remember what fight that was that was amazing to watch all right back underway under 2 minutes to go I'm not sure if you're referencing ELO zesi do Santos and benois santon or another fight it's crazy though because now look at santon it's a he showed his toughness and that one no doubt and now he's just destroy liing through people good take down defense here from fry yeah she's got to be pretty encouraged as to how her anti-g grappling is held up thus far and you you would hope that if she she's able to stuff these takedowns oh good knee got through there from dudova but if she's able to stuff these early takedowns maybe get a little bit more aggressive like okay now I have confidence now I can start letting my hands go a bit more she she paid for it though she paid for it there she got hit with a lot of knees and she caught a nice right hand on the brick from dud aova so if I'm jinu fry uh I was taking less damage when I was very measured and by taking less damage you're still in the fight because nothing's really happening hey uh DC that referee is not with us tonight champ oh man come on sa kind of people are we working for man freaking back under a minute to go in what has been a competitive round one likely the advantage to dudova she's landed twice as many significant strikes Doug fry Chaz Skelly really enjoying the takeown defense of their pupil thus far I just don't dudova has got to be careful she dips her head down quite a bit but she's the taller fighter so I don't really see in this particular fight you see that FES throwing that front kick up the middle quite a bit and I'm wondering if that's something that maybe her and her coaches saw on film dudova is just so new and she doesn't know if she wants to shoot or strike that's why she's always kind of stuck in the middle oh big knockdown late in the round for durova wow well she wants to strike Cat Just breathe very good hey good good round we lost that one just cuz that last little one right there okay just breathe just breathe you want some water you are strong in that clinch I want you to initiate the clinch I don't want you to let her initiate the clinch anymore I want to see you try to take her down you know how to wrestle take her down in the middle of the cage let's see what she is off of her back you hear me you can wrestle set it up you don't have to just do it out right but set it up take her down we're winning that clinch there you're winning the clinch all right let's take a look here here's a big left hook she goes low with the right hand comes upstairs with that left hook and drops jinu fry here you go right hand and then this left hook gets right through the guard oh Nast you see her sit her down doesn't matter if she can get the taked down in this fight she's doing just fine on the feet folks the ultimate 30 alltime UFC roster series is set to debut this week exclusively on UFC Fight Pass in this three episode series DC and I will be joined by a star studded panel of guests to honor the 30 greatest UFC fighters in the 30-year history of the promotion sign up for UFC Fight Pass to stream a new episode each Monday it was awesome John that was fun that was a lot of fun so Doug fry called for this right her head coach Paulie he wanted jinu fry to wrestle and keep her in the center of the cage and she did just that showing that intelligence we know she's smart she's bringing it into the Octagon because she timed that one perfectly and dudova is coming aggressive when she's striking right and if you're dipping your head and then throwing Big Shots even that big left hook that dropped her those are perfect opportunities to get a take down because anytime you're swinging wide and a bit you leave yourself open for take Downs well yeah it's that level change at the right time but also going under that hook and because J because dudova landed it in round one she went right back to the well very early in round two and it did land and jenu Fry goes nope not doing this again level change got to the hips took her down has her in the perfect position and also great for pry because due to K is the wrestler she doesn't spend much time on her back L how she handles being taken down it's a good point and I feel like maybe the fry Corner was expecting that they would have the Striking Advantage when they didn't have it in round one they pivoted quickly and obviously they have a student who's willing to be coachable so a really nice adjustment and now we'll see what dudakova can do about it well fry did a great job getting into side control there look at how slow she moves though Paul she's goes very slow to clear the half guard she's going slow to try to get to the Mount Li just left knee on the belly try to drive into or wait for dud cova's movement before you try to advance position that's one of the areas that Fighters struggle with ins side control is they get a bit anxious and when you get anxious they buck and bridge and then you lose position yeah the best Grapplers they're methodical they feel like just a weighted blanket on you and just slowly make little adjustments I even I hate when guys do like the crawl in their fingers on the mat type of grappling where they're just like oh I'm going to just slowly grab this arm yeah and there's nothing you can do about it pressure you're just kind of stuck there when you when you're grappling with high Lev Grapplers it's not a big scramble they're they're just holding you and you're like man I want to move so bad but I know if I make one mistake dude's going to latch on something I'm screw I I I think for fry staying in this half guard might be a good idea with the position that she has right now she can probably start to look for some damage look for some strikes I I don't mind if she would put herself back into that position cuz then you're holding on to that leg you can sit and clamp yourself down onto that leg I always thought that half guard is much more effective because you control the hips that was F oh nice nice by fry good grounding pound she might lose her here though she's got to try to re-engage she's got to re-engage she's got to re-engage with your hips you don't put your head first nice good work there from FR to land a shot to keep dudova down got engage with your hips knee forward so that you avoid the up kicks man those are coming quick couple of those landed but fry back down to the mat this was the perfect reset for jinu fry after getting H with that hurt with that left hook to end round one got to watch her right arm we saw dudova already throw out that armar attempt fry really quick to recognize it though immediately used it to try to pass and then she got back up to her feet but see again again it's there again yep it's not tight though the elbow is past the fol point there yep [Applause] pass warning there from the referee for having the fingers inside the glove one minute now to go round two and dudova kicked her in the face from her back three times and then yeah and her leg was down yeah yeah she was underneath dudova kicked her in the [Applause] face dudakova clearly appears to be the fresher fighter nice sequence for her there the fry Corner calling for another Tak down here late in the round they're say don't let her steal this round but I don't know what dudova can do to win this round unless she just drops it it's a great run for well Bruno Silva lost that third round on all three cards right so that was crazy very surprised 3027 all right so a nice strategic pivot from Jin you but D to kova going high and realizing success again round three coming [Music] [Applause] up just breathe just breathe are you tired no breathe through your nose nah just stop it's one one just breathe through your nose breathe through your nose open your mouth open your mouth give me a shirt breathe through your nose just relax hey it's fine it's fine just you take her down hey you have one round for the rest of your life right now right put her on her back pass her guard put her away he what are you going to do you put on her back put on her back please thank You Go Get It Go Get It you have one more round Jen finish her here hey keep your guard [Music] High hey Tuesday it's a new episode of UFC Round Up join myself Michael KES as we talk The Fallout of tonight's 294 Pay-Per-View event UFC round up Tuesday 700 p.m. Eastern on YouTube a little bit of an uptick in the energy when you read the promo for your own show unless I'm hearing something nah you know just blowing it out kid blowing it out much energy all right third and final round and no overstating the importance of these five minutes for jinu fry right 38 years of age had a big moment early round two likely enough to level this fight at one but D to Koba coming hard here early round three yeah if I'm jinu fry it's it's it's clear I've got to try to time another takedown get on top she did a pretty good job when she got top position but now the surprise element is gone yes yep yep and that's so big Paul she's going to have to hope that dudova makes another mistake overthrows and she times a level change D to over a corner calling for some body work I'm hearing that same message from Doug fry now striking numbers favored du to Koba well if we felt a little bit Short Change by dudak coa's 34 second Victorious UFC debut you're getting a lot of film honor tonight they striking looks pretty good yeah she looks good she looks very aware she looks like she's in great shape as she gets hit by a good right hand there by J fry that's a nice right hook for sure from jinu fry speaking of which this coach is Cam is brought you by guard High you got change level change you got to level change and run your feet you got to run yep dictate dictate forward movement force her in and then take that space drop your elevation come back uppercut drop your elevation to uppercut yeah yeah touch the leg uppercut very good Jen Doug fry Chaz Skelly in the corner [Music] oh nice stick by dudova I like what jinu Fry's Corner was calling for that they wanted a level change use the uppercut and run her feet if she's going to try to get these takedowns she's got to commit if she's going to try to get in there and get dudova back to the ground you've got to try to start a striking exchange forcing dudova to answer back once she answers that's when you go and level change she's not they're not starting exchanges they're kind of pot shot and then just popping at each other yep and jenu F fighting at a range that's not her range to win this fight right it's not to her advantage to be here she's got to be all the way in yes as the shorter fighter three times that's it John it's that stiff jab you called it earlier and it's hard to get past that right it's easy for us on the outside here be like oh we got a level change we got to get in when you're in there and you're getting stuck with that jab you're like yeah I don't want to go in there all right 90 seconds with which to work body shot is there for dudova as we mentioned she exclusively sparred with lefties and she has looked very comfortable fighting a southpaw on the feet tonight a lot of Fighters actually prefer to fight lefties yeah know go to the left I I I didn't mind it because it put the single leg side right in front of me right so I can just grab the single leg just as a kicker you want I I want to be able chop that outside leg chop that outside leg turn that hip over again that's and that's why I was so like sh bullet was throwing it hard if you check that that's like Anderson Sila Chris White you can hurt you can hurt yourself really bad let's see if fry can do something with this I mean she's definitely losing the Striking exchanges in this roundout so she would need something big here I would think in 30 seconds you know what I just I just am always in shock when the corner does as good a job with fry and tells her how important it is for her to go out and win this third round and could change her life and then it was just pedestrian they did not do much and this round will be judged for someone on not much action yeah yeah it's unfortunate always just a step behind in these striking exchanges fighting from the outside we got some horn issues tonight but that sound signifies the end of the round no ducks have perished scorecards on the other [Music] side all right let's take a look here there's a nice right hand from dudov striking looked on point and like John had said earlier we didn't get to see much in her UFC debut but we got to see it tonight we got to see her face some adversity there's that early I think it was round two y maybe no round one sorry she dropped her right at the end of the round round two is when she was taken down and controlled for a bit but then round three here's that nice time taked down from jinu fry some good hammerfish some potential Up Kicks there from dudova man big left there from jinu fry Tuesdays catch up on all the latest MMA talk with your boys DC and RCS me and Ryan Clark discuss the sport that we both love so much find us on YouTube ESPN at midnight kick kamach Chimay have one of one he has reached Superstar status before even fighting for the belt just remarkable all right next prelim was one Dana White highlighted in his if you don't know now you know segment on Instagram let us now see if it delivers rejuvenated as a featherweight to now on the fast track to the top of the division Nathaniel wood plans on keeping his run going as he comes up on this challenge with the powerful and confident Mohamed naimo a pair of decision losses may have paused his journey to the UFC but Muhammad naimov went back to the gym regrouped and reeled off a trio of wins to earn his rightful call to the Big Show in his UFC debut back in June he faced the highly regarded Jamie Malarkey and what followed for the Tajikistan native was a career best effort and a knockout win that earned him a performance bonus tonight naimov takes on another tough challenge in England's Nathaniel wood his move to 145 lbs has already produced three straight wins over Charles Rosa Charles jordaine and Andre field coming up next Nathaniel the prospect wood faces bohamed Hillman [Music] [Music] Naima self-belief not an issue for Taja stands Mohamed Naima second UFC appearance arrives he has won his last four and that included DC a remarkable UFC debut a bonus winning knockout of Jamie Malarkey now that fight was not perfect right he had lost chunks of that fight leading up to that seminal blow but that has given him a lot of confidence stepping into this Spotlight once again tonight yeah a ton of confidence and the idea that hey I can go collect $50,000 again but this guy has a different type of mindset he said that when he got that call before the last time he had no time to prepare and his dad told him it's like a street fight dude go and just fight go and do what you do he feels like he is better than Nathaniel wood everywhere he said he knows that he's got great kicks but he goes I've seen these kicks since I was an amateur so it's like this young man has a level of confidence and shess about himself that tells me that he believes at least Paul that he's got a long career in the but we have to see how it goes you know I'm telling you I absolutely loved when he told us that with his father also in the room with us saying that he said what are you talking just you go it's go have a street fight right and we're going to see a bit of that even tonight later on in the main event right where Alex vinoski what he somebody somebody pressed pause on my you were just kind of like wait dude are you done somebody just pressed pause before I like they gave you you know it's like the weigh-in show gave you the mute yeah somebody muted you're like wait okay I should go I should be done let's move on yeah but this kid is fun man and now he's had that camp and he looks in incredible shape here the Malarkey fight obviously 155 lbs this fight at 145 lbs and he looks great uh and this is just a great scrap man this is one of the ones we had circled for fight of the night um cuz Nathaniel wood is not a huge 45er at all but let me tell you he's got skills for days both these gentlemen naimov gave us a lot to work with in the fighter meeting Cory sandhagen has been a huge influence tonight his time to [Applause] [Music] shine [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] proudly weing London England here is Nathaniel wood the former cage Warriors Champion making the walk for his 10th UFC appearance he was surprised that had already gotten to 10 he says it's gone pretty quickly but Megan he loves fight at 145 lbs he feels a speed advantage and just feels like his training camps are more productive in terms of strategy and overall skill development yeah he feels like he can push the limit in these training camps he said no matter what the discipline is he is able to go over the normal threshold because he is so healthy and takes such good care of himself in this weight class you know I talked to him about being seven and two in the UFC and being somebody that fight fans really like watching and he said hopefully in 24 I can start chipping away at the top 15 it's not this pressuring goal for him to have to get immediately close to the title but he said listen I'm in my Prime and I am asking for these fights but for some reason they don't come to fruition so hopefully with his performance tonight he can start knocking on the door of those rankings he has fought NAU dapi a couple of times before but he said he was really looking forward to be able to fight here with a crowd and guys you know that makes all the difference sometimes absolutely it makes a big difference and Nathaniel wood style is exciting it makes people want to see him fight and if he can put on a performance like he's anticipating to do here tonight I think we're going to want to see him more often I'm glad this is his second outing here in 2023 mean he's 7-2 in the UFC he was struggling to make that bantamweight and now he's just fresh he's living life and he's training his butt off all right let us get to the tail of to take for the featherweights Nathaniel wood Aus 325 betting favorite tonight mohhamd naimov comes back plus 260 wood 30 naimov 29 3 in in height for naimov who will also enjoy a 1-in reach Advantage all right now for the introductions here is Bruce Buffer ladies and gentlemen this fight is three rounds in the UFC featherweight division introducing first fighting out of the blue Corner a mix Marshal artist holy professional record nine wins two losses he stands 5'9 in tall weighing in at 145 and one 12b fighting out of kazakstan muhamed H and now introducing his opponent fighting out of the Red Corner a mixed martial artist holding professional record 20 wins five losses he stands 5' 6 in tall weighing in at 146 lb fighting out of London England Nathaniel the prospect W and when the action begins our referee in charge Lucas good referee Lucas Baki Third Man of the Octagon for this one the beautiful Camilo Olivera with us here in Abu Dhabi I mentioned the Corey San Haagen influence on Mohamad naimov and it was a fight at Titan FC 67 in which San Haagen cornered naimov and he lost that fight and really helped build him back up and it's been all systems go ever since from Muhammed Naim the underdog tonight in white Nathaniel wood counters in Black naimov bullish about his chances despite that Underdog price next to his name feels like he has the speed Edge and feels like there are going to be openings everywhere on wood tonight we shall see how many openings oh man this guy skilled is so skilled though oh hug shot for naimov that was a nasty hook that was beautiful well thrown there by naimo in combination landed right on the butt but if we know anything about Nathaniel Woods he can take some damage and knows how to bounce back we saw it in his last fight I like this by Naim off though to to also take that time to get the body lock get to the ground he's got to be careful here that inside trip was nasty he went to the body lock Inside Out trip puts Nathaniel wood on his back very early great job by naimo so a Furious start for the underdog naimov you got to think wood was expectant to that type of approach but huge start for naimov here in Abu Dhabi I don't know if wood was expecting to get hurt quite that bad quite this early on in the fight but you know that's one way to just get right into it it's like all right you're not thinking about anything now o beautiful right hook there from Naima very aggressive from the top here to naimov Nathaniel got his back to the fence here naimov needs to stay higher than Nathaniel wood that's how you win these positions against the Octagon side the moment Nathaniel Wood's able to get a little taller than Naim off he's going to get up to his feet and wood is in his corner I believe right yeah they talking to him so that's a good place to be after being rocked and taken down it's you get step by steps step-by-step instructions from your [Music] Corner Nathaniel wood needs to flip his hips he's got a Hip Heist to get his hips faceing the mat there it is now he can start to get up you see Brad picket in the corner in theth Wood long time UFC fighter himself one was one of my favorite guys to back watch back when he was fighting so he's been through all these going to give great advice I think Nathaniel Woods father always in his Corner as well yep Gary's there Ashley khaw as well Grimshaw excuse me I think I need readers guys well that'll be the day my my phone already had like has like those big letters oh yeah yeah it's bad man I'm not there yet go there an immediate reaction from wood after he absorbed that strike to the groin he will have 5 minutes to recover here and we will get you a replay on that illegal albeit inadvertent strike oh no but he's already grabbing right no that was the second KNE to the body there was one prior that we will isolate for you so he got a double dose then he got his oh that was bad I mean that's that's location wise and then dude to get it right to the solar plexes after you just got hit to the to the cup man I know take as much time yeah I think this is truly a case where Nathaniel should take as much time if he has to take that full five minutes I know it's not fun it's not fun for the crowd yeah that's low the first one was very low I mean lifted him up so you're already kind of got going oh my goodness and then you get this and then you get this right on top of it and that one hurt boom right in the solar plexes and he hadn't didn't and you're grabbing yourself already yeah oh that's bad man okay stay here wait wa kicks understand don't kick either okay [Applause] K nicely handled by Lucas Baki Nathaniel wood one tough customer back underway under two minutes here to go in round one we'll see if wood can get going yeah he's fighting uphill now guys but also maybe pissed off that might help him well he got away from defense I want more of that from Nathaniel he's got to use those kicks he's got very good Muay thae keeps his guard up high oh straight right cripples naimov I'm telling you when this kid lets it go he's unbelievable that straight right hand was nasty yeah his highlight reel Nathaniel Woods is aerd and nearly added to it there wants to stay close now he's yeah I cannot have this dud that face nice take down outside trip right to have right to side control tries to go for Mount he might lose it here he got a little excited remember earlier we were talking about that right making sure you're very secure in your position before you rush yeah be a bit more methodical about how you're transitioning got a Kora oh this is going to be a scrap man good ground and pound here from naimov Baki warns naimov for grabbing the fence there for choke potentially here two career wins by submission for naimov more a striker than Grappler but has some good chokes nice job by wood to get back to his feet and then he lands an elbow late in the round good one playing out in Abu Dhabi [Music] [Applause] two free for me okay one off we're giv that round for Grace right me first me first I need I need footwork I need your footwork and I need your St right there you see very early Naim off lands a beautiful short right hook that drops Nathaniel wood led to a lot of GR p and pound in top control wood gets up and lands a piston of a right hand stuns Naima don't smother your work you hit him and you smothered it keep out try and disengage boom boom boom already we seen this yeah take down control position just a little bit better and we go to work yeah on the feet on the feet don't SM your work keep your like nice and long [Applause] yeah a sold out Sao Pao crowd will be rocking next month as they welcome one of their own Dana White contenders series Alum jilon almea he'll look to impose his will on the UFC's alltime knockout King heavyweight Legend Derrick Lewis main card 900 p.m. Eastern exclusively on ESPN plus two weeks from today all right so now you're not so Daniel even though that strike and I was reading a promo however inadvertent now Lucas Baki is well within his right to right he got hit two times low and you can tell it's starting to affect Nathaniel wood and oh yeah yeah I mean you see the cup jiggle but so it's like they talk about the the impact it has on the fight going forward this impacts Nathaniel wood Baki is checking with Jason Herzog who just confirmed that twice now he has landed on the groin almost assuredly he's going to take a point here and largely DC and Paul it has to do with and everybody else you're trying to level the playing field and determining that Wood's going to have to fight through that so you take a point away from Nao okay sa save save I like it if he takes a listen to me okay again to the ball okay was your kicks okay it's hard warning if you understand me don't want to see it again okay sounds good good call me surprised ready ready fight I thought he was too all right here we go and just because of what you said right where it's it's leveling the playing field because now Nathaniel is yet again fighting uphill here well last time help last time it happened he got dropped so if yeah you're about to say if you're na You're not throwing these clothes huh I I I'd be so nervous I mean you're going to lose a point you know if you even touch that cup beautiful in the corner of wood told him take your time a little more let's not rush control him so that when we take him down we keep him down couple takedown secured on three attempts for Nathaniel wood who would almost assuredly get a top 15 opponent where he to get this one done tonight take it back take back don't grab I mean there's a a foul from naimov that could have prevented a Tak down this guy naimov is playing with fire man he's walking right up to the line I'm not saying this man's cheating but you get real close to that line before you step over it you know I've walked up to the line a few times y just to see what it looks like on the other side I'm not going walk right up to that towel we don't C I know you're thinking I know what you're thinking get the gamblers perspective by checking out UFC on the line exclusively on Fight Pass the team gives you all the Best Bets for tonight's card you can check it out right now only on UFC Fight [Applause] Pass I just don't like those fence grabs because you cannot predict if one little grab prevent the taked down or not and that's all it takes to stop to stop that Tak down one little grab could be for half a second and it's going to prevent somebody from falling down oh he got him down and now he gets a take down right but the yeah he gets to take down beautiful polish step around throw start dragging him to the ground now a Polish throw in wrestling is when you get to the over under you step around hook the leg and just kind of sag your weight to the ground Nathaniel wood as he's falling with his arm next to the Yon will be very very easy to stick a finger in there it would keep him up gets taken down but he needs to get right back up right now cannot waste time down here against naimo and while Naim off got the big finish in his UFC debut and he got the bonus he's fighting better tonight he's doing a better job against a better opponent in terms of showing a well-rounded skill yeah he lost a lot of those seven or eight minutes against Jamie Malarkey so you're right about that under two minutes here to go in round two tajikistan's muhamed naimov England's Nathaniel wood and what a presence the teks have had here in Abu Dhabi they love their Fighters absolutely have an repetitive nature for mixed martial arts yeah Wood's got to try to get his back up against the fence here see if he can start working up there you go get some separation that's exactly we need to get back to his base get onto that knee and now he can work himself back up he's got an underhook on that right side he's got to find a way to get his back to the center of the Octagon he has been kind of bullied by Naim off and that's one of those areas where when you decide to stop depleting yourself to get down to that small where you kind of struggle a little bit because Naim off is now just using his physical abilities to to really give wood problems but he's got a good Kora here lost it and Naima beat a big lightweight in his UFC debut granted on short notice but Jamie Malarkey's got a frame for 55 naimov has trained with Justin gatei in Colorado in the past work with a lot of shorter guys in advance of this one be a switch be a switch not trying to progress from there I just saw the live odds pop up on the screen surprising I feel like naimov might have won the first round quite possibly yeah weird and of course no point deduction so and no point deduction which makes a massive difference in all likelihood the minus 325 betting favorite at open Nathaniel wood has some work to do in round three it is yours [Applause] next okay we're finishing this round okay keep your distance and don't let he's we already know what he's going do he's going to try and Push Up Against the Cage he doesn't want to make this a fight he wants to play safe and Push Up Against the Cage you need to use your feet don't smother your work keep it distance and keep it on your feet cover the center bomb te bomb move B no you got the footwork threee for me you have the footwork you have all the skills to be you've hurt him once you going to hurt him again 100% push that pace now buddy you have to push that pace only submissions you go for if you take it back remember that more urgency now on the back off our back more Morey please later today on pay-per-view from Abu Dhabi lightweight King Islam aash Evan featherweight champ Alexander volkanovski run back their classic from earlier this year with the lightweight title back on the line UFC 294 available for purchase right now on ESPN plus ufc.com ppv everywhere else in the world o Nifty little kick there early round three from naimov partially defended by wood Brad pigy was pretty adamant that he's got to use his footwork to keep this fight at distance and not let Naim off press him up against the fence oh he he kicked them low again I heard the cup but I think for wood it's not worth arguing that one if it didn't hurt you and you're in a better position I don't know if I don't know if this is the move I don't know if this a better position though because going try to get it close There He Go this is what he wants he wants Naim off's back up against the fence close to it so that he has all the real estate in the Octagon to work with and use his striking and you heard what they told him they said hey you've heard him before but you got to stay out of space don't allow for him to get closer just hang on to you naimov is doing a really good job of slowing him down and really just being sticky not allowing him to get space nice job by wood to not bite on the faint partially lands a left [Applause] hand but wood has been limited to just 22 significant strike attempts he's landed 13 yeah and that's not what we're used to seeing from Nathaniel wood but Naim off has done such a good job of closing that distance being able to get him to the ground controlling him there but this is good for wood yeah and you can see when nael has the opportunity to let his hands go he's so sharp but naimov is doing a good job of throwing and Landing when he goes too wise of naimov to throw a big left and land shortly after wood had a big moment naimov defin has power you see every time he connects it affects wood naimov essentially spent three years fully dedicated to getting to the UFC away from his family in the United States oh nice double leg beautiful level change he got to his angle immediately takes wood down again that level change was so fast you could see him setting him up he was backing up hoping that wood would a mat would think oh I got an opportunity he would go naimov did a good job of shooting down got to the corner and got a take down but wood is back up right away exactly what he needs to do wasted no time this time around but naimov still on him tight cinching around that waist and again taking the space away from nathani not allowing him to use his striking and I'm not sure this was the game plan coming in right but you've got to adapt when you start to get hit you get rocked by a guy that you thought you were going to be able to maybe out strike it's like okay I'll use my wrestling my grappling Paul it was set right away right by naimov dropping him by naimov getting him with that that right hook he immediately had to Pivot and he hasn't been able to because Naim has kind of been ahead of him the entire time nice job from wood to use that Guillotine attempt just to get him worried and got himself off of the cage oh B right hand and W have AIG that another big one he's got to go here guys yep W has to go now there's a left H for Nathaniel wood Landing some big shots here late get the sense wood feels like a right hand is going to be there to maybe close the show to go naim's corner is yelling Circle they do not want that guy in front of Nathaniel wood and why would you when he's taking this damage and Nathaniel's got just under a minute he's doing damage with every punch he's Landing here na is in survival mode and you see why Nathaniel wood was able to just slice through some B oh my goodness that was a weird shot that almost like fell yeah it looked like he was thinking that naimov was going to shoot but as wood starts to realize success here late round three you can't help but hearken back to the lack of a point deduction which could BL large as this fight gets more competitive late oh oh big right hand oh he might finish him Naim o leverage in a hit what a cur late from Nathaniel wood he goes the distance with Mohamed naimov scorecards coming up next and the UFC 29 94 prelims roll onward from Abu Dhabi [Music] UAE e [Music] the UFC 294 prelims are brought to you by draftking Sportsbook the been 30 years man there'll never be another UFC one there you [Music] go [Music] [Music] for [Music] dolin message all right as we get ready for this next one no overstating on Sha ju's excitement to represent his native India on the grandest stage in MMA with a nation behind him as he steps into the Octagon for the second time an juble Embraces that reality of having all eyes on him in this pivotal Showdown with rugged veteran Money Mike breed the first Native of India to compete in the UFC since Barack condori back in 2017 New Delhi on sh CH Le used a pair of wins in the first V the UFC tournament to get his UFC contract and tonight he puts his 7 and0 record on the line against battle tested veteran Mike Breeden stepping into the Octagon for the fourth time here tonight Breeden has shown flashes of his potential but he expects to put everything together here in Abu Dhabi as he seeks to deliver the kind of performance that will send him into 2024 on a winning Note coming up next Money Mike Breeden meets on sh king of lions jup [Music] [Applause] the exuberance and the enthusiasm that has been just emanating from Ona jue all week long has been a sight to behold it has been infectious he has been smiling all week he is so excited to be competing on a card of this magnitude and it's 7 and0 there has never been an Indian mixed martial arts athlete as highly touted as this young man Paul yeah it's really incredible obviously coming off the road to the Octagon or and winning that and now getting his opportunity to come in here and represent India for the first time in the UFC his excitement was through the roof and this guy is skilled man training and Bali really working on getting more well-rounded he talked about before he really got on that show he had just done some YouTube training done some things worked here and there and now he's with a camp where he's working with mixed martial arts he's working with proper coaches all the time and it's really PID paid dividends and he's feeling ready more than ever it's always good whenever you see a guy have an opportunity to evolve and for ju he's a person that is very aware of his importance to not only himself but to his family he said he does this ultimately to make his parents happy but to his entire region he looks to inspire people and people are ins spired by him we were in The Fighter meeting and his manager was talking John and she goes before he went on road to the UFC he had 3,000 Instagram followers went on there got 45 he won it and now he has 500,000 they said by the end of his debut he should have a million Instagram followers in one fight he goes but I'm from India there are a billion people there I should have three billion Instagram followers lot of good wrestling and boxing in India and a nation that is waiting to get on board of a UFC [Applause] [Music] fight all right so we'll see if fight night goes better than weigh in day for Money Mike Breeden out of Overland Park Kansas 10 and six for his mixed martial arts career now representing Marathon MMA Trey Ogden among goes in his Corner had an appearance on Dana White's Contender series back in 2020 made his UFC debut in 2021 and a huge spot DC for Money Mike here tonight Mike Breeden again Paul Miss weight by 3 and2 lbs but I'm looking over his left eye does he have a cut Paul looks like he might have stitches over his left eye there do you see that I do see it that is that is very odd so now I mean I'm not making him any excuses for breeding missing the weight but maybe there was some time off in training from the cut why he couldn't be working but Mike Breeden is a guy that ultimately has to be responsible when he's getting ready to step on the scale but he said that to Abu Dhabi was on a bucket list of being able to fight here being able to perform in front of these fans he said on juilee he said I'm very excited about the challenge but more importantly he's excited about being consistent he's not a guy that's had the ability to fight often frequent he gets another opportunity very quick and he's very happy about it yeah and this is you got to seize this moment because missing that weight whether you've had an injury or whatever it is you don't want to take this opportunity fighting on a pay-per-view card you get that chance to go to Abu Dhabi against the first Indian fighter in the UFC this is a big moment for him all right let us get you the tail the tape for the lightweights 34-year-old Mike Breeden 28-year-old on sh Jubilee Jubilee 2 in in height you see we highlight the weight Miss for Mike breed 3 and 12 lbs over the divisional limit he will have a 1 in Edge in reach all right now for the intros back inside above ladies and gentlemen this fight is three rounds in professional record 10 wins six losses he stands 5' 10 in tall weigh in at 159 at half PB fighting out of Overland Park Kansas USA money M fre and when the action begins all referee in charge Mark Godard Mark Goddard our referee here he will also handle the main event later tonight between Islam makash and Alexander volkanovski Jenny Andra thank you very much money Mike Breen at one point weigh 265 lb pants size 42 split him open girl told him he needed to lose weight or he was going to die lost 100 lb professional athlete now he's in the red on sh juble and green to the right a little B yes sir wa [Applause] listen looks focused early nice early leg kick from [Music] him now Jubilee can't do that you cannot stop in the middle of a kick like that forward into it yeah you got to be 100% committed to what you're doing inside the Octagon if you're trying to think your way through a fight you'll find yourself trouble good shot to the body by ju Lee when he won that road to UFC lightweight tournament back in February he was not happy with his performance had a fever going in the fights only get bigger from there it's so crazy to think when these young athletes win things like The Ultimate Fighter and throw to the UFC they're literally fighting and what is the easiest thing that they'll do right it's the biggest thing they accomplish but it's the easiest thing you'll ever do cuz it only gets harder good body kick by jublee and then Vision defensively to avoid the comeback shot little slip there too he's got to be careful when he's attempting these oh nice combo there from breed we've seen moments in Breeden fights where he hurts his opponent has really good combos oh he's got hands man there's no doubt he's got a great left hook can lean on the Brazilian jiu-jitsu brown belt as well but he has been primarily a striker behind the ear y he caught him behind the ear [Applause] there J's long for the way too big six feet yeah KCK got that high kick partially home as we go under 3 minutes here round one time hey smaller reactions Mike smaller reaction DC you referenc a pre-existing cut for Mike bre yeah I was just going to say it looks like it might have been a little bit opened up we'll see yeah you can see it it looks like ju's got to be careful when he throws that right to the body and then pulls out he's leaving himself open for that hook he's got to move his head a little bit to avoid that big left counter from breed nice level change here by Breeden good knee on the inside got to mix up his attack oh beautiful body shot by ju Lee see it yes sir even before the breed weight miss a lot of prognosticators felt as though a longer fight would favor Jubilee oh Breeden acknowledging that combination and you always question and wonder how does a person step on the scale that heavy 3 and a 12 PBS is a lot and that's when you really start to struggle you know you get in three and two those that are hard pounds man take double the work did not CAU him with that knee J does a great job of finding knees whenever they come got that right hand through both guys throwing bombs early one minute to go round one we haven't seen jubble use any of his wrestling yet seems content to keep it a kickboxing match right now go go and he's having success doing it he's he's ahead for sure with these strikes but he's got to be careful because when Breeden starts rolling a little bit and throwing those big shots no rocket ju with the advantage on the numbers in round one J has done that three or four times where he lifts his knee gets a reaction throws a punch that's kind of I don't I hate that combination used to do that to me man just pick his leg up and then you go to block the knee they B it it's ridiculous you do that oh yeah if yeah anybody that's got good kicks or good knees it just gets people thinking about it I hate that nice level change by wresters attacks the [Music] ball let's go boy hey now back here's what I need from you take two deep breaths in through the nose out through the mouth the when he's hitting you it's because we're not using moving to the left and right okay so it's just we just need more lateral head movement you're getting the better the boxing exchanges when you're exchanging but when we're exchanging there we need to bring the uppercuts in that range and that will stop his takedowns you understand take a little drink of water hey he's leading he he's uh he's reading the kick so we just need to set him up more with the hand you understand so right here you see ju B step in little overhand right lands behind the ear Breeden I think he might have recognized he heard him a little too too late that's why he didn't jump on him right away then a nice little left hook by ju and the left hand and the right hand follows Mike Breeden took all three of those really good round by ano juilee stand back stand back behind the line please behind the line immerse yourself in the world of Combat Sports with UFC Fight Pass watch the entire 30-year history of UFC events original shows plus live fights every weekend and so much more available within the UFC app all right we will see the extent to which juble tries to here oh big right oh he didn't like that at all ju's on him now and the knee ju should go to the body a little bit too I agree he's wide open for it it was right on that eye we're talking about he just backed up and now it looks like he busted open on that that same eyebrow we were talking about DC pretty good recovery by Breeden I'm telling you it look sort of as if it really just hurt as opposed to him as equilibrium or anything where it made him dizzy cuz if that eyes is damaged already that probably did not feel good oh look at it look at it oh oh now it's yeah flapping in the wind FL he probably had a pretty bad cut coming into this was able to get into the fight with it but now it has been opened up oh yeah it is that is disgusting and that would hurt I mean I've had my eyebrows split open that bad and you it's like a bolt of lightning goes up like oh my you only want to get hit on it when you're already in there if you had time to recover in the P stops then you got to go back to that oh man Mo land to get shots there yeah his eyebrows hanging off fellas Jubilee's got to recognize that well I mean it's saying hello every time it is talking right back he better recognize I mean but how tough is breing oh man there's no doubt about that I just need oh big right hand there for breeding right under three minutes here to go in the round outstanding striking display and numbers for on ju a lot of fans wondered how he'd Faire against true UFC Talent so far so good really well he's got really clean striking he's been trying to mix in his takedowns but Breeden doing a good job oh oh man comes right back right Still Remains a threat with those hands oh nice body kick there from breed dude's a dog man he is there's no doubt it's crazy though there's like a piece of skin hanging off his eye nice sequence for Breeden time mement we would like to welcome our International audience joining us for the UFC 294 prelims in advance of the pay-per-view makash versus banovski 2 we are here inside Eddie hot arena in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates John an Daniel Cormier Paul Felder octagon side Megan oiv with us all night as well and we got an absolute War playing out right now Mike Breeden and the Indian on sh Jubilee yeah we do John just when we thought oh maybe breed's HT his eyebrows split him now he's just he's all into it getting hyped up by it and firing back hard shots at ju B he's testing him here you saw those live odds ju B has been in control of the fight he has opened up what we believe was a pre-existing cut for Mike Breeden that he hit the inspection Zone with tonight and there are your numbers round by round fourth UFC appearance for breed and the second for anul juilee [Music] moving let him M points at him when he checks his kick Vol Vol I've seen a lot of cuts not sure I've seen a skin flap sort of draped down in front of the eye like that yeah it's going to come off at some point no Paul no it's not please don't come off might actually if you interview him you can probably go pick it up in oh I don't want to go interview you want switch just go just go back off o pretty good knee partially lands for Breeden Breeden is just still fighting but on show ju I think my favorite punch that he throws is he puts out a long jab leaves it out there and follows with a right hand oh nice fate there from ju he's got to do more of that try to get breden the freeze cuz he does such a good job of countering back if you can freeze him for a second then go with your combo all right we get to see this cut I've been trying to not see it the whole round yeah kind of Interest deep breath what is it you're in this you're doing great just a cut huh deep breath hey look when we're going forward and punch him we're winning when we're not he's in the fight you understand simple as that I need a little bit more head movement you understand get audible Hey listen you're going to have to finish this kid okay you can finish him though you're going to knock him out you understand when you hurt him I need you to rip body head like split two okay a little more so when we land good shots and I want to go split two you understand yeah okay listen deep breath in here's Jubilee putting him work on breeding pick combos up against the fence Breeden showing his toughness when that eyebrow split open on everything when you're moving your head simple man when you hurt him I cut RI off deep breath de breath it's a let's go boy let's go mik the cut ripped I got I got to talk to the cut man I got to know he just ripped the skin off the acclaimed show where are they now returns for a seven season looking into the current lives of MMA icons like Mike swick o tuara Braun Waterman and more watch the full season marathon on UFC Fight Pass beginning October 24th or stream on demand all right we'll see if Mike Breeden the ever tough Mike braen can rally here in round three against on jub oh man he's pouring it on here early well Corner told him he's got to finish oh he's barking out him oh oh man jubile looks like he's like what in the hell what did I sign up for M bark at him got skin hanging off his face barking at me oh my goodness nice jab now a big right hand oh man J focused he's hyped oh my goodness he's getting in the head of ju this is crazy ju's got to come back oh that's not good now you play with the Tak down attempt his Corner clearly concerned this sport man but this is what this is what bre will have to do for the rest of round though he can't do it in spurts cuz ju won the first two rounds yeah you're right DC the Showmanship is all well and good right but got to do more that got him again oh my goodness Big [Applause] Shot not good for no it's not there's too much time he's literally Frozen he's got him Frozen Paul he can't even get out of way of a jab right now he's chanting USA is he yes Breeden has ju like scared almost he does I'm telling you I think he's psyching him out oh my goodness man it's your debut you're here in Abu Dhabi on this big card winning and now you got a crazy person in front of you still three minutes to go Bren in all likelihood lost the first two rounds huge right hand for the American feeling himself now J was doing such a good job defensively early but now he's just watching Mike Breeden and he's taking every jab and every punch breed j's got to hit him yeah he's got to hurt him you're right you're right he's got to get some respect back in his fight cuz now PR is just marching him down he's barking at him he's pointing at him imagine if Breeden actually went to the body Crum right now everything to the head when you teeing off on him imagine if he just th a nice left hand to the body oh big left hand there from Breeden J appear to land as well Breen certainly has closed the gap on the numbers here in this final round oh huge W for Breen and that'll do it m Mike Breen and ry's for the KO wow don't sleep on me bre just came over to the broadcast Booth he said I promise I'll be back don't sleep on [Applause] me all right he just told us he got that cut two weeks ago and that in all likelihood why he missed weight what a third round and a finish for the American Money Mike Breeden all right let's take a look at some of the work here from Mike Breeden he just started to pour it on and he confirmed all the things we thought he was going through a lot of stuff and then he said just said there was no excuses on why he missed weight but here is just the beautiful combos just poured aggressive in front of him yeah man I just had to get in his head cuz like this is what I do I know my Road in the UFC hasn't been very good but I'm one of the best in the world I just need to get my feet settled in here and show the world what I can do in that third round look at that look at your work you were in his face just hitting him he started to just stare you down did you recognize you had him on the way out even though he was ahead of you in the fight that's why I was barking at him I'm not a very fast starter but as the fight goes deeper they start to drown cuz I'm a dog and you're going to have to put me away to get me out of there absolutely you had some injuries coming into the fight obviously the cut and everything but you got through it and showed how tough you are third UFC start against Abu aitar unbeaten in 10 of his last 11 Abu aitar makes his long awaited return to the Octagon tonight and in his first appearance since 2021 Captain Morocco is here with only winning on his mind as he tries to turn back the appreciable challenge of cetri with dues a graduate from season six of Dana White's Contender series Dumis smashed his way into the UFC win column back in June with a un decision triumph over Cody Brundage and now he has made the long job from Florida to chase more Glory against the dangerous aito coming up next AB Buu Captain Morocco aito faces cist the reaper [Music] Dumis well underrated might be one adjective to describe the allaround game of cedri WS Dumis gets a lot of accolades for the Striking and rightfully so but has worked dutifully on his wrestling and his grappling striking coach Randy James Jr Megan expects that his pupil is going to present his best version tonight yeah they when I talked to them yesterday at weigh-ins they were very happy about what this training camp looked like very happy that this is their first fight in the UFC where they could train for one opponent that stayed in place this matchup was originally supposed to be for his debut in March and then as iar pulled out a couple of days before so he said this one is getting it back for him he's in a better place in the organization he a lot more experience now he actually did a lot of training in New Orleans for this one I know Daniel corm is happy about that but he said listen I'm continuing to evolve he watches the older people in this game or I should say the veterans in this game who have been around this board for a long time and set the bar they have establish the routines he is all about learning from them and the precedents that they set in order to not make the mistakes they had to make to be in the successful positions they're in he's all about learning really looking forward to showing a full arsenal tonight yeah and this kid's a finisher right but in that last outing that we saw him in against Brundage to be able to show off those wrestling skills show off those grappling skills shows an evolution to his game because he's got great submissions good Knockouts but to be able to grind out and fight against somebody like Brundage who's got such a wrestling background shows the true potential of this young man [Music] [Applause] [Music] fighting in honor of his Moroccan people many of whom experienced that devastating earthquake last month enter Abu aitar for UFC appearance number three and DC I thought he was very with his words this week and particularly when referencing his last fight against Mark Andre bario he says me and my brothers you know we take these losses sportly but we also take them personally now here he is 30 months later trying to uh spin that to the positive yeah you know for a zar John like you said he takes his personal to lose but to be going through the things that Moroccan people have gone through sometimes you can take from that and it inspires you like NZ hop cross only by a month ago right when it first happened it uplifts you aitar is fighting for something bigger than just sport right now this is a man that's been away for a long time and has dealt with a lot of adversity he did not do well in the pandemic he didn't like it he didn't like training during that a time like that he didn't like fighting during a time like that he feels like these are the type of circumstances where he gets the best out of himself the ability to fight in front of a crowd against a guy that he's long been scheduled to fight he said it needed to be cedri Dumis and tonight it is Sri douas for Abu as Z thought one having had that fight delayed and and canceled and then you have to wait to fight him at least you've had that amount of time to be focusing on one person one game plan but obviously for this young man for this man it's just a matter of getting more consistency if you can get a big win tonight you'd hope that you can see him back in the Octagon sooner than later because it's just what is it 2021 and then another year later he gets back in the oct so now that I mean the pandemic's over hopefully he's training more consistently and we can see him more often a Powerhouse look at the size this guy he's a stud and he knew we would talk about the layoff but he was very dismissive of that as a factor in this fight he's got a lot of confidence that he draws from the preparation in the training room and uh we'll see how he fares as a plus 200 Underdog here tonight and again a guy that has been on his radar right this fight was initially booked for March and for cedri was Dumis right you're supposed to fight a then you get Josh F then you're supposed to fight Puna Sano you get Cody Brundage so tonight it will indeed be Dumis and a zitar all right middleweights are just about ready to go let us get you the tail of the tape for Abu zitar 37 and cedis Dumis 28 Dumis the much taller man just three in though the edge in reach for the Floridian City Chris doomis all right now for the intros back inside a b ladies and gentlemen we are live from Ed hard Arena on y Island in Abu Dhabi for UFC 294 Mev versus volkanovski 2 and now this fight is three rounds in the UFC middleweight division introducing first fighting out of the blue Corner a kick boxer holding professional record eight wins one loss he stands 6'2 in tall wearing in at 186 lbs fing out of Pensacola Florida USA sgz the reaper D and now introducing his opponent fighting out of the Red Corner a MC maral AR only professional record 14 wins three losses one draw he stands 5' N9 in tall weighing in at 186 lb fighting and robot Morocco AB Captain Morocco o and when the action begins our referee in charge Jason bog Jason Herzog is our referee the beautiful red De La Cruz with us here in Abu Dhabi where the hospitality and the people have just been first class world class it is truly unbelievable here real how well they treat we got nice gifts yesterday yeah they like redheads here Paul they do they like redheads F clock is brought to you by Modello a zitar is in the red Cedric W Dumis hell of a frame for middleweight is in Black got to go hang out with my boy my Ginger brother sha bullet later on that's right oh man Char bull is going to have fun tonight crowd getting behind Abu a zitar here early wearing the Moroccan colors zitar does not need to be that far away I was like it's way too much space for him to be successful there you go that's what a zitar wants [Applause] oh nice scramble there from Dumas nice job well that was the expectation for a lot of fans and pundits that Dumis would go to the wrestling gets an early taked down here a minute in and that was far too easy for cedri was Doom the moment he got his hand locked he didn't use any technique really he was able to just drag him to the mat look man I'm very impressed with Dumis and his improvements yeah and I think that speaks to having a blank canvas because even when he was on Contender you could see how raw he was so whoever got him would be forming him essentially it was like an a unmolded clay and from March to June he fought a tougher opponent and he fought better in one yes and defensively did great so you just expect him to continue to improve every single time he steps in there and a lot of guys who deserve credit Adam Hicks his wrestling coach who handles a lot of the details and really took him under his wing and striking coach Randy James Jr they really feel like they have something in Dumis and we did see him instinctively go for a takedown on the contender Series right so you knew that this was part of his game and it's obviously been further honed in the year or so since yeah he got the show off that really good guillotine in that Contender series fight you look at his record he's got Knockouts as well got power cardio tall long for the division and it felt like but it felt like in the fight part that we called from the Virgin hotel when he lost to Josh Grim that all of his weaknesses were on display in in a matter of months I mean honestly three months later he fought against Cody brundon right a higher more credential wrestler it looked like all those holes were already up yeah crazy and now he's offensive wrestling 4 months later a zitar has got to find a way to use that left Shield to create some space and dist between him and D nice little creative knee to the body there from Dumis yeah scrape that knee across the canvas get it to the body take it to the body man that's something cowboy Cerrone used to do to everyone all the time when we grapp you guys be each other in the body while he would take he would not like take you out of the match really with a liver shot that's a TKO we were we were crazy at fight Spar we weren't need each other at the bot did you guys when we were on the r when we sparred on the ranch we were it was we were fist fighting you guys did you do elbows with the pass no we didn't do any elbows but we would also like when I first started going there guys we were sparring with 4 oz MMA no shinguards on jez and he' knock guys out and then be like get in you zitar was holding du's hair pull it up and punch him that's creative use your left hand to pick his head up with your with his hair and then punch him with the right hand as long as you're not grabbing it yeah you get one warning you know what's crazy though like a zitar take it aitar hasn't really started to work his way back to his feet he hasn't done much defensively look at that wow I mean come on man yeah that's about illegal as he gets back head bottom botom back in back aitar getting multiple warnings for hit to the back of the head there but if was Doom been in the whole fight here it's been far too easy to control here to not go back to this position he can also pass this whenever he wants you see that's not a real lock down on that leg no he could pass he can start to shove down Z's left leg and then try to get his right knee through but a zitar is so dangerous on his feet he's so powerful you you kind of make him harmless by putting him on his back if you're doess well and perhaps when round two begins on the feet as itar is sco less dangerous after grappling for four and a half minutes at the tail end of round one all right strong start for Dumis we're back to Abu Dhabi in about 30 seconds after this word from draftking Sportsbook when UFC fighters battle it out inside the Octagon you can't blink because every let's Go's go hey make him tired let's wear him out step into the world of Champions and immerse yourself in the pure adrenaline that fuels their passion UFC Venom collection is now available at ufcstore.com ready all right every MMA round begins on the feet round two here abua zitar in red Cedric WS Dumis is in Black go Dumis going after that lead leg early and it's the range that a d is fighting at that's going to really continue to cause him issues oh man got to be careful he's so powerful and the zitar explosive he knows where his but his bread is butter D going to try to get to a take down quickly right Dumis is Striker but D see the consequences of eating one shot from a zitar yeah especially when you've already taken him down you've showed that you can control him for an entire round on the ground don't play around and it doesn't take much effort to get him to the ground if he can get his hands locked around his body take him down crowd trying to get the Moroccan going Doom back to work on that lead leg of a zitar take [Applause] andar is throwing wi loads up there's no secret what he's trying to do no he's going to put you out and he was hard on himself right in his last fight he fatigued against Mark Andre barriel which many people do but the whole time he was trying to fight he never quit on himself and that's something to be proud of if you're a z talk oh that got check nasty well speaking of power this Wednesday power slap is back power slap five features four title matches including slap Legend Wolverine taking on undefeated lightning rod Austin Turpin power slap five coming up this Wednesday October 25th for more information head to Powers slap.com now that was a sick jab by D pretty good counter right from a zitar right there looks like Randy James in the corner of Dumis calling for a double leg take down as we cross the midpoint of round two well this is the moment John where Dumis has got as Z talk up against the fence he's got him in range now all he got to do is try to bait him into throwing these big punches and now back right back out of the center where Zar has more room to work his power and while neither has landed much is allowing aitar back into the fight by not taking him back to the match so three minutes of round two have expired area takedown attempt in this round from Dumis and it's not his Instinct his instinct is not to wrestle he's a stri F you he D's Corner minute and a half let's the round even when a zitar doesn't land it seems to draw a reaction from us too yeah and John that's a problem when judging a very close round like that that's a problem because the visual is when when they come together aitar is the one that's just letting more punches go and then dulus is forced to retreat visuals whenever you're in a close fight5 you can hear dumas's corner and let's win the round and I imagine that would mean let's let's try to get a take down cuz it's it's just back and forth in the feet instead it's a zitar ends up knocking him down big ground strikes now from a zitar Dumis really good at scrambling to get back to his feet but again the visual for the judges definitely one one1 I cannot wait for the message the do corar oh my goodness low kick from AAR late in the round all right round three will decide [Music] it Blow the hot out put the Eyes on my stomach put the Eyes on the stomach yeah sit up let that oxygen get all the way to the bottom relax s you want to put your feet in some [Applause] water do one one right one one all right when you jab or if you kick he's trying to come with that right hand that's a perfect chance to shoot but also when he's trying to come with that right hand and he misses he's right there the bre's there for you fake go a little bit to the right first punch then kick hey you hit him two times huh you hit him two times keep look when you Hur him and finish him okay a sold out sou Paulo crowd will be rocking next month as they welcome one of their own Contender series Alum jilton Almeida he will look to impose his will on the UFC's alltime knockout King the blackbeast Eric Lewis the main C 9 pm. Eastern exclusively on ESP PN plus two weeks from today third and final round abitar and red cedri Dumis in Black the deciding round I think I think we could agree right guys [Applause] yeah outside leg kick is there for Dumis no single definitely some trepidation on the feet from sadik rumis relative to past performances yeah he seems hesitant doesn't he just not really letting it go tonight and maybe it's because he's feeling that power of His Zar coming at him and yeah and they make me reluctant yeah I would definitely be careful going into him I mean I would have shot on him already I would have done something to try to get him to the ground that we know you got a lot of takedowns though on Your Arsenal I would well yeah all you need is a body lock if all you need is a body lock man you're halfway there these guys are slippery too something to note they're both sweating profusely in there at this point in the fight that that's why you'll see they're kind of sliding off each other in these scrambles hard to really keep control Randy James though striking coach of Dumis really trying to get Dumis to open up here three and a half minutes to go let to the punch to the thigh there Dumis was Landing some nice Jabs earlier that landed on a zor he grabbed his hair again go the yeah it pulled some out it's all out wait what do you mean his like his hair is no no no out of his popped a bra out yeah come here is that I mean is is that a penalty I be honestly but is it a penalty yes you're not allowed to grab an opponent's hair yeah but that's like it's not like football you can grab the Jersey it's you can't pull hair Paul are you sure you can't pull hair cuz you can pull hair in football I said jerk no it's 100% foul DC okay doesn't oh ja the jab from Dumis yep that's that jab Dumis was landed earlier another one oh the penalty should be a point Sorry I'm like talking to my producers and you guys he did it tce I wouldn't take a point I mean you know I don't know I'm not saying that particularly is where the point but DC I'm are you saying it's not a foul no I I mean I'm asking I did not know actually because not everybody not everybody has hair to pull but I mean all the people with long hair if you're fighting Klay Guido why haven't people just been smashing him with uppercuts holding his hair yeah that's that would be the way to go he'd be getting beat every fight he ever had I've grabbed some hair in my D nice kick to the body by a zitar if dumas's hair Wasn't So Glorious I would suggest he shave it yeah two minutes to go round three nice jab from Dumis dumas's jab Works he's so long if he learns to fight behind the jab at this height he could be very dangerous and the biggest moment in this round was that jab that set aitar in the chair so aar's got some work to do significant strike numbers unofficial but round by round for you there so just one unofficial takeown attempt for Dumis since round one and he was not able to get aitar down a zitar has been the far busier Striker aitar switching up his footwork good body shot from aitar that was a solid right hand to the body just wish I'd see a little bit more out of him arrange with both of those strike offerings just not enough urgency on the feet seemingly from Cedric wasis zitar goes to the body and at this point it's just trying to be active if you're a zitar because if it's clean Dumas does land that beautiful jab but a zitar has been the far more active guy out there but this is a hard fight to judge you have no idea late shot from AAR it's a big head kick for his troubles not a good look late but a nice finish for Zar over the final two rounds competitive fight in the middleweight division between Dumis and zitar the official decision coming up more damage definitely won the first round second round close put your hands up put your hands [Music] up well get ready for every fight night and pay-per-view by watching Best Bets with Brett okamoto and Ian Javid basharat he'll try to live up to it once again here in Abu Dhabi well it is not easy keeping an undefeated record in the Shark Tank known as the UFC's bantamweight division but Javin basharat still perfect and remains a man on a mission as he prepares to engage with The Talented Victor Henry well it took Victor Henry more than 25 fights to make it to the UFC but once the native of Southgate California arrived in 2022 he was determined to stick around since then he has proven himself with a pair of wins over hoi barcelos and Tony gravley and a hardfought scrap with haela sunset now he'll face one of the top rising stars at 135 lbs in jabid basharat a contract winner on the 2021 edition of Dana White's Contender Series bat has kept his unblemished record intact with three UFC wins thus far and he is a clear intention as he looks to add Henry's name to his wins list here tonight coming up next it'll be javet the snow leopard basharat versus Victor losta [Music] Henry proudly repping Southgate California where you need to know how to fight here is Victor Henry making the walk for his fourth UFC appearance DC Ro friend Josh Barnett entrenched in his corner I thought Victor looked outstanding in this last fight that you called against Tony gradley back in March yeah absolutely and you know for me with Vick Henry it just showed how important it was for him to v through what he did with haela s early in his career because he was able to take that experience that he learned even though he lost and applied into a fight with a very tough Tony gravley this is a guy that can do everything inside the Octagon he can wrestle he can strike and he's unbelievably tough so tough and so durable and he takes the fight to you it's a big moment for Javid bashra all right tonight's fighting Spirit stats are sponsored by cesa Modell you see Henry has won three of his last four he made his UFC debut against hoi barcelos at UFC 270 got the call when he was at Korean barbecue two weeks before the fight and still turned in a performance that produced 181 significant strikes landed a wealth of experience took him forever to get here he certainly belongs now he tries to get another big [Music] [Applause] [Music] win fighting and representing London England by way of Afghanistan here is Javin basharat making the walk for his fourth UFC appearance in first ply outside of the UFC Apex this man believes he's the best fighter in this Division and another opportunity to prove his worth here tonight Jabet is one of those guys him and his brother in particular they're just they eat sleep and breathe the sport of mixed martial arts they're drilling working on things talking about all the time they've lived in a car together trying to make it in the US to be able to train with the best people in the world over in Vegas these guys have really sacrificed everything to be amongst the best in the world they have a mind for the game they're so common collected and javet has really showed a skill set over and over again inside of that octagon right but now to fight in front of that crowd I talked to him DC and I was like you think it's going to bring that extra bit out of you that extra 1% that's going to shine even more than you've shown so far and he said yeah I'm excited to go out there and have the crowd because when we sign up to do this when you agree to be a fighter I want to make it I want to be an MMA fighter you don't want to be an MMA fighter when nobody gets to watch it you want to do it for the glory I don't care who you are you're lying if you say a small part of you doesn't want to do that and if you can't perform in front of people and that isn't a part of your you're never going to be a champion you're never going to be amongst the elite well that's why I'm still hoping Daniel Cormier has one more fight because it kills me that his last go one more I have no more in me guys sorry one more uhuh you headline Paul might be coming back not if you don't Javid basharat is a guy that when his teammates speak of him it's unbelievable to see how they view him the one thing that I think is missing and that's why he hasn't got that high level fight is that Flawless Victory where he goes out there and he stop pop someone and he becomes undeniable all right let us get you the tail of the tape Javid basharat 14 and0 and the betting lot reflects that record he's 28 Victor Henry 36 basharat is 2 in taller he will have a 1in edge in reach all right now for the introductions back inside of Bruce Buffer ladies and gentlemen this fight is three rounds in the UFC bantamweight division introducing first fighting out of the blue Corner a mix martial artist holding professional record 23 wins six losses he stands 5' begins our referee in charge Lucas Baki tonight's beautiful cine cam looks brought to you by draftking Sportsbook Javid basharat thank you camillea getting a started for round one of a possible three between two of the better bantamweights on the outside of the top 15 looking in Victor Henry and Javid basharat this fight clock is brought to you by quvo basharat in white Henry is in Black we did talk to basharat about the grappling and he draws so much confidence from Jake Shields and Jason Manley and all the guys he trains with patching Mick Samir albazi Alain Sterling May Rob dallie it's a hell of a room he says that he believes he can be a champion believ that he can reach top of the division he was not willing to share how the sparred sessions go but says that he is training with the best in the world and he's doing well enough to know that he can compete with the best that's good right you don't want to talk about those particular details just know that you're competitive right that you're able to go with the elite already at the top of the division in the UFC and sparring sparring training is training yes lot of international experience for Victor Henry fought for the king of pancreas title back in the day when Victor Henry gets going and he gets into his flow he's fun to watch man yeah very entertaining very durable a guy that possesses all the skills yeah that Mongoose Mode Toyo Tires official Tire of UFC Josh Barnett gave him the nickname l ghosta Henry a Brazilian jiujitsu black belt oh nice little side kick there from bashat both guys have a very good kicking game are sharp Strikers both these guys got to be something cornering your brother both Fighters have talked about dealing with those emotions and nerves of course his brother fared also in the UFC and in the corner tonight alongside Dewey Cooper and Andre tchi on the other side Josh Barnett the heavyweight Legend singularly Manning the corner of Victor Henry Josh bourett don't need no help I was just thinking that I'm like when you got Josh B that's pretty much all you need to bring with you dude such a knowledgeable guy in mixed martial arts and you can see his influence nice take down there from jav bash trying to get to the back Victor Henry wasting no time though getting right back up to his feet again one more nice work there from Henry to stay [Applause] up great job by Henry staying upright moving with bosro now bosro goes to a single leg he's got to move him off the fence he's got a circle to his left to try to get Henry moving and then try to drive back into him to collect the legs but Henry's hip to it pulls him back up great defense Basher accredited with one Tak down on four attempts but Henry making sure he did nothing with it just over a minute here to go in the opening [Applause] round spin back kick there from beautiful doing the same over and over again set him up Josh Barnett calling for Henry to set him up feels like he's dissecting some patterns nice low kick from Henry yeah Henry's been doing a really good job attacking the legs but both guys have been checking as well they're going to they're going to have sore shins tomorrow yeah you can see the stats there both guys throwing quite a few light kicks lot of faints from basharat Henry not biting and John while bash is fighting great once again showing off the skills you have to make a mark with a explosive Dynamic performance that's something he's missing to be quite [Applause] Frank all ego look this dude is nothing but ego he's good for sure but he's just full of himself he always got to get revenge he's always got to show off all that is because he's not happy he's not kicking your ass all right he is open for the left hook when his back foot isn't set he drops and his right hand is dropped you can step in and right hook and left hook him okay you can do it off off of a walk understand when you're in there all right here's some of these leg kicks we talked about there's Henry almost getting him down nice counter there from bosot this is the taked down that he was able to get and here's the spinning back kick that just touches the chin of Victor Henry both guys going back and forth very close round lots of leg kicks landed one Tak down from bot and some funny advice from Josh Barnett in the corner you look like you're rushing well breaking news out of UFC Fight Pass the UFC Fight Pass Invitational main event is set to feature the consensus greatest of all time Gordon Ryan facing against his toughest opponent yet Mason Fowler another massive co-main matchup as well Nick mugali will face Felipe Pena you can watch the greatest single night of submission grappling ever December 9th oh boy that's the second one he got one on that replay earlier you're right he kicked him low earlier on that replay hey no quing and this is the same referee Lucas Baki who was in there earlier and chose not to take a point from Mohamed naimov despite two landed on Nathaniel wood that's a bad one this is not good really this is not faking you know what I mean Victor Henry is not a guy who's going to fake being hurt from a groin shot oh that's a direct hit man yeah it looked like it it caught him pretty directly and obviously the reaction tells you everything you need to now we suggested earlier that Nathaniel wood might have been wise to take a little bit more time and perhaps the referee didn't understand the severity of the blow cuz wood turned around pretty quickly now at this bosro is saying that it's all Leg hey stay there but it is low kick it was low you don't get this reaction it ain't low I mean this could end up being the end of the fight but at the very least baki's going to have to take a point he's not going to John oh he'll take a point we should bet on it live on the air Mr Mr bashad has come over to the broadcast Booth yeah he's asking if it was low John Heely Nicholas busak is like pointing over here like what's this guy doing why is BOS right over here high so as we said earlier the referee is well within his right to take a point to try to level the fight but yeah I don't think can we see it one more time guys give us an angle where we can actually see here we go angle but it's hitting up underneath that's probably the most painful place honestly it it's too close for comfort is the bottom line yes it on trajectory went to the inside of leg and finally mercifully they bring in the ringside I can't imagine he's going to keep fighting Javid I told you you need to stay here you understand your ball was in my balls no it wasn't your ball you need take your ball oh no dick and balls my dick and now the doctor's going to tell him that it didn't hit his testicles come on man take the full 5 minutes he's hurting man's hurting listen I know it didn't from the angle we saw what what happened I'll bet was the that underneath man I don't into the details right but something got crushed or pinched probably from the way it hit lay but when the do comes in DC and suggests that it hit the leg it sounds to me like if he can't continue they may call it a TKO I mean unless you can get a better angle that shows that that was clean I have to believe that this reaction is real why would he do it any the other way you want to stand up a little bit how do you not take the fighters for it in this situation I mean I don't know I mean here's a here's a better angle can't even stand up bounce on it's not good either it's tough to get the but but you're right John I mean you don't react plus it also looks like you got to think bro like watch where is his leg his shin yeah but back it up a little bit think the foot is but it's even before right before it's like look right here it's in between his leg when he kicks look it's in his butt it kicks up in the butt the replay May matter for the record book but look at that strike hit is gr minutes minutes yeah but that when you watch that that Replay that angle when he kick the foot goes up between the legs then Javin starting to pull it back I can't imagine that you do this if it's not his real reaction of course and an official can't convince you that you didn't get hit in the ball hey man it looks like on camera when you're in tears right I mean come on man this is quite the quite to sell if not yeah right this all time theatri hey what's the name of the show uh that you're on which he needs to be on ha if he's that good he needs to be I feel it would I it would be a mistake if uh they he loses because of this well we got 5 Seconds doesn't seem and that's going to do it does not seem to be much sympathy from the bashat corner but clearly Victor Henry was compromised by that strike faking that hopefully that a DQ and not a TKO and potentially a fight that they can run back but that is as devastating a reaction as we've seen to a groin strike in recent mems man that really really sucks that was a fight that I think we were all looking forward to to see how it was going to play out first round a bit you know bit back and forth bit of a feel out so in all likelihood it will be a no contest and maybe a fight that uh they look to rebook the the the the doctor's trying to tell him that uh he's not hurt all right we will be back to get you the official decision after this unceremonious end to basharat and Henry back to Abu Dhabi [Music] shortly hey the UFC 294 prelims are presented by draftking sports book the official sports betting partner of the UFC while the legend doing Cooper coming over here insisting the kick was clean Bruce Buffer now with the decision ladies and gentlemen referee Lucas Baki called a stop to this contest at 15 seconds of round number two due to an unintentional foul this Bel is declared a no contest and thank goodness it goes into the books as such jabid Basher at disappointed they'll attend to Victor Henry in the back but that one goes into the books as a no contest did he walk out or did they carry Jos carrying yeah he's not faking but it his leg only right okay all right next preliminary matchup comes your way in the lightweight Division and to set the table for these gentlemen we send it back to meol Le hey thank you so much turning the page to the next one the Octagon newcomer the UAE Warrior makes the walk for the very first time right here in his own backyard Muhammad Yaya holds a five-fight win streak in the reservist in the Emirate Army has every intention of making a statement here the former kickboxer sees his striking playing aaz J but believes this matchup has fight of the Night written all over it as he goes head-to-head against the unorthodox Trevor peak fighting out of Chattanooga Tennessee Peak has finished all of his wins and has pented for putting on exciting performances constantly evolving the Alabama native arrived in Abu Dhabi early in order to be well rested and adjusted as he prepares for another potential allout battle those lightweights go head-to-head next and later tonight former Welterweight Champion kamaru Usman appears in a new division to face the UN defeated danger of hamzat Chimay they'll throw down in our hotly anticipated middleweight co-main event and in our main event it is a rematch the world has been waiting for the featherweight Champion Alexander volkanovski once again moves up a weight class in his quest to become a double Champion but has he made the necessary adjustments to defeat the lightweight King Islam makev that answer will be revealed [Music] soon [Music] she don't so [Music] [Music] what [Music] oh [Music] all right it all goes down tonight live on pay-per-view UFC 294 makev versus volkanovski 2 as we show you the entire main card complete with the live betting numbers huge co-main event at middleweight Kamar Usman and kamachi mayab also of not featured B at light heavyweight magamed akal and Johnny Walker title shot could be on the line there we will see you 2 p.m. eastern time for the pay-per-view from Abu Dhabi all right ready to go now with our next prelim matchup it comes your way in the lightweight division the first Emira to make his way to the Octagon mohamd Yaya is getting a home game here in Abu Dhabi for his much hyped debut we'll see how he bees against American Marauder Trevor P having earned a stellar reputation on the regional scene here in his native United Arab Emirates Mohamad Gaya now gets the chance to prove himself on the world stage of the UFC and on the strength of a five-fight winning streak that has seen him not only finish by knockout and submission but also go 25 minutes he is prepared for the for the bright lights and tonight's opponents Trevor Peak an aggressive force of nature who knows Only One Direction on Fight Night peak's fan base is expanding with each passing UFC fight and he expects the bandwagon to grow even more tonight if he can produce here in Abu Dhabi coming up next Mohamad yayas wears off against Trevor [Music] PVE [Music] [Music] time feel [Music] fire a pressure Striker with a Mean Streak to rival anyone in this division entered Trevor Peak for his third UFC appearance first run against Eric Gonzalez was a knockout earned him a bonus standing Hammer Fist and everything else little bit of a setback against chpe mcal a unanimous decision loss on ABC back in Jacksonville in June and now with that experienced game we'll see how it goes for Trevor peak in another huge spot tonight John this guy he's an animal man and so much fun to watch now is he the most polished fighter in the lightweight division absolutely not does he have that dog in him like nobody else absolutely he's got a chin made of granite he moves forward with crazy pressure he actually scrambles pretty well as well to get back up to his feet however he's a bit too aggressive at times he's just got to rain it in a little bit because the power is absolutely there for Trevor Peak and this is a fight where he's got a guy that's willing to exchange sometimes and I think his defense for the wrestling is pretty good at times as long as he doesn't overswing too much too often this could be an epic fight for Trevor Peak and let me tell you any fans at home this man is not going to disappoint you I did think it was interesting when he talked to us prior to the chpe modol fight he talked to us about his Dana White Contender series fight that he hadn't flown much prior and he was getting vertigo and dizzy spells and now here he is competing in Abu Dhabi so seemingly he has crossed that travel hurdle so to speak and Trevor Peak as a near two to1 favorite tonight now welcomes Mohammad [Music] Yaya just want to quickly update the health and the condition of Victor Henry he is vomiting in the back and he will be taken immediately to the hospital so take the fighter at his word as to where that kick lands now we shift Focus though to the first emirati fighter in UFC history this is a huge moments we expect many fighters to follow suit Hereafter but there can only be one first Polly it is Mohamed Yaya who makes his UFC debut here tonight last fight took place at UAE 37 he won that lightweight title or defended it I should say he's been in Camp ever since and now we'll see how it goes for him tonight in a big spot of course against Trevor p and anytime you see a guy fighting for somebody like UAE Warriors becoming a champion in that organization and being able to fight five rounds getting that type of Championship experience and then John finishing fight in the fifth round via submission speaks to the level of Yaya this guy's got the skills he's not afraid to get into a fist fight but ultimately I think in this fight it's clear as day that he's going to want to exchange to be able to close the distance and uses Jiu-Jitsu get this fight to the ground he's got five wins by submission on his record two wins by KO so he's got knockout power but ultimately based on that five round fight where he win finished the fight in the fifth round showing great cardio then get this fight to the ground don't play around exchanging and brawling with somebody like Trevor Peete he better not play around with Trevor PE standing there brawl with him what I like about Yaya though is knowing that he's the first emirati fighter fighter to fight here to debut in the UFC knowing the pressures that come with this he goes I'll stay locked in he goes I'm not going to try to go into the emotion until it's all said and done he said this fight sold out so fast that not much of his family is in attendance tonight but he said that doesn't matter cuz he's solely focused on what happens inside the eight sides of that octagon yeah he's as No Nonsense as it gets I've never seen a UFC newcomer walk into a fighter meeting and be less excited to meet Daniel Cormier in my life Mohamed Yaya 29 Trevor Peak 28 both men 5'9 in tall no issues on the scale for either party we'll see what Yaya can do with a threein in advantage and reach all right now for the intros back inside above ladies and gentlemen this fight is three rounds in the UFC lightweight division introducing first fighting out of the blue Corner a striker holding a professional record eight wins one loss one draw one no contest he stands 5'9 in tall weighing in at 15 155 and 1 12 lb fighting and a chance the nouga Tennessee USA [Applause] TR and now introducing his opponent fighting out of the Red Corner a BC Marshal artist holding professional record 12 wins three losses he stands 5'9 in tall weighing in at6 lb fighting and of du by UA Mohammed the UAE Warrior [Music] Y and when the action begins our referee in charge Dan MTI T Dan mahti our referee Jenny Andra getting us started for round one of a possible three in the UFC lightweight division where our title will be on the line later today live on Pay-per-view can order that now ESPN plus.com PV all right this fight clock is brought to you by Modello Trevor Peak is in the white Mohammad Yaya in Black Paulie you fought here Yaya said there's less oxygen in training which he believes is an advantage I certainly feel that when I'm here do you feel that oh yeah just the heat in general is a heat is brutal and I was on the golf course today and it was you swe and even though it's very well air conditioned here you see how much these guys are sweating when they're fighting the environment is different you can't get around that it is so cold everywhere because it's so hot outside and it's hum is Trevor Peak showing patience I swear I was going to say Yaya must have real power cuz I've never seen Trevor this measure oh here he comes an early knock down there back to his feet that's the Trevor PR that Peak that we know oh my God dudee he Swings with every ounce of his soul I think he heard you guys wow but a big take down there for Peak nice Tak down got to the body lock wrapped the leg turned Yaya down to the mat evolution by Trevor Peak yeah seriously man certainly some value in his 15 minutes with chpe modal back in June fight which he suffered his first career loss Good Start through 90 seconds for [Applause] Peak and he's doing it over and over again so it's like something that he's worked on he threads the leg every time and it's giving Yaya problems but now he's got to turn him he's got to turn him back towards the leg that he's got off the mat it was Quint Rampage Jackson excuse me Paulie on season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter that inspired Muhammad Yaya to get into MMA at first with your right [Music] [Music] arm turn to your left Peak with a hard knee to that inside leg of [Applause] Yaya the yaya Corner telling him he needs to get to the right side underhook and spin but he's having trouble because Peak is breaking his posture with his head underneath he finally gets away nice kick to the body by [Applause] Yaya St shot up here to B [Applause] Peak inside leg kick for Peete and think of Yaya John with the way that they treat us being the first guy to live and train here how he's getting treated in Abu dhab dude must be living like a kid definitely a defining moment for Arabs in MMA tonight yaaya has spent a lot of time at bangtown and Thailand as well but Dana said the other day at an event we went to they're building a pi here there will be no reason to train anymore this will be as high level and Top Notch as any PI you see in the entire world it'll be better was that trying to move here um no it's too hot I won't even go back to Louisiana it's so hot but yeah given the infrastructure and the architectural prowess of this country right you would expect that UFC Pi here to be you know what I just realized I'm looking at my my nose guys and I said early in the walks oh hold [Applause] on we've got two muhammads right next to each other they're fighting obviously muhamad MV is fighting next I was like I don't remember the amount of submissions that I'm talking about Yaya having I was like oh he's got I was talking about Mah by mistake with the submissions two submission victories for Yaya seven wins by KO maybe a pretty good transition though at least working on some sort of Choke here Peak with a couple of foot Stomps well that that oh yeah yeah yeah yeah and this is ultimately still where he wants to take this fight I would think against somebody like Trevor Peak doesn't change what I think should try to do Trevor's got to try to hold on here get his chest towards the mat that's to survive the final seconds of round one now he let it go [Music] yep what a moment at the end of round one round two coming [Applause] up give me the double let's switch off to the double I that was great let's use the jab more and just have a little more action make sure when he's left-handed that you're going 10:00 stay away from the action you understand stay away from the the leg kick when you're throwing that leg kick it needs to be a jab in front of it do you understand jab leg kick and then cut the cage off then switch off to the double once you close space okay when you get your hands lock get a lift take it Mom you need the underhook you need to get that underhook and turn take your time sit out with a jab go sou take this take this take this take this hey take go go goam all right we're sold out in sou Paulo two weeks from tonight with a huge heavyweight Main Event Brazilian jilon almea taking out taking on The Knockout King Derrick Lewis Saturday November 4th 9:00 p.m. Eastern on ESPN plus two weeks from today all right round two here Yaya Corner looking for him to establish his jab here early round two against Peak Peak had a knockdown in round one also landed nearly twice as many significant strikes P loads up and he just throws man problem I just you know Paul he is a bit more measured he's a little bit more patient but is that good though yes do you take away from what made him fun and got him all the way here I think in this fight that would have benefited him to be a little bit more I don't want to say Reckless you don't never want to be Reckless but be a little wild that's what he needs to be a little bit more of that he's got time yeah he does have time but we saw it in the bre fight where when it was pretty Jubilee was doing pretty good and then Mike just made it ugly well it's easy to see why Trevor Peak stylistically finds himself on a numbered card tonight yeah he just shows that right hand so much I can see when he wants to throw a right hand he pivots his entire body to the right so he can wind it up momentary stumble by Yaya I think he thought he was closer to the fence than he was yaa Landing just 33% of his significant strike attempts 53% on the other side Peak we did ask Yaya about any added emotion fighting here as the first Emira fighter in the UFC he was very dismissive of that angle you take one look at this guy right he doesn't seem to emote very much no I only bring it up because he has been you know perhaps not as offensive as we expected through the first round and a half and he got tagged there now he's on the gas a little bit going forward I think this is the the the strike where you can find success body kick that left body kick will be there and it's easier to lock down an opponent with your kicks up Clos to your hands especially when they're circling as much as Trevor do on the outside head kick partially got through for Yaya under two minutes round two ooh Nifty sequence by a huh ooh nice low kick there from Pete oh now a shot to the body well placed got to watch his neck here though got to watch his neck well he put in trouble early really bad in that first round yep messing around with Yaya here you better make sure you're in the right position or he will throw up a [Applause] submission you know one think Yaya doesn't do well Paul and I don't I mean it's not his fault but he constantly falls to the ground he gets kicked he falls to the ground he gets attacked kind of falls to the ground because he's trying to avoid he's got to be able to be a more sturdier have a better base so he's not stumbling all over himself whenever Peak attacks him because as we spoke about earlier optic yes optic got to look in control in there right that's a knockdown when at least in a blind eye oh gosh up up there's one of peak's hammerfist strikes that we've seen patented standing hammerfist you see the numbers Peak has landed more and at a better clip through nearly two rounds I thought this fight would be a little bit more wild than it is yeah body shot and now some head workor from Trevor Peak born in scotsboro Alabama rep in Chattanooga Tennessee Jeff Powell terz finny and Matt Harris commanding the corner of Trevor peak tonight in Abu Dhabi all right third and final round coming your way [Music] [Applause] next left turn around turn around am I win yeah man stop talking about this listen don't of course you listen you winning man open your mouth man you winning mam Focus where your F I want to see those faints you've come too much this is your last line you go out there like you fight like You' got everything on the line look at me this is it man set it up he's tired when you push him back sensible s keep that range left body kick left body kick left body kick listen to me don't launch with your head up you can hurt this SC a drink stay with your jab keep in the B kick okay the left body kick is there when he stance switches body kick black behind the line please let's go cameraman Tuesday it's a new episode of UFC Roundup join myself and Michael KES as we talk about the Fallout out from tonight's 294 Pay-Per-View event UFC Roundup Tuesdays 7 Eastern on YouTube I'll be watching third and final round mohamd G and Trevor Peak little luck Hook by Trevor Peak yeah that was nasty shot Yaya Corner feels like he's winning that was the message at least part of it after round two well Pete Corner told him that they think it's one to one better advice yeah and now it's fired him up oh man Trevis Mountain's got to be strong right yeah he's got to be so strong he looks like one of those guys that's so dense right that you're just like man I can't move this dude he's oh yeah it's got to get just a little sharper win some fights I like your ball really good could be a monster at 45 I'm not asking anyone to drop down down not real tall is he 5'8 5'9 Yaya's got to find a way to get Trevor off of him because now Trevor's all fired up right his coaches got him all worked up and it's making him fight at a rate that Yaya hasn't seen yet in the first two rounds and so he's getting a bit overwhelmed pick that shot pick the shot please oh just slid right off the back there good body kick there by Mohammad Yaya small Cut Above the left eyebrow of Trevor [Applause] Peak very few things will stop Trevor peak's Forward [Applause] Motion yeah Paul he's showing that he wants to oh yeah he just shows it he's fun Yaya is not fighting bad he's not melting in front of the with the pressure in front of him but he's got to get some respect from Trevor Peak if not for nothing more than not ending up here every single time yeah pushed up against the fence not not you know mounting his own offense moving forward not throwing many combinations yeah fighting more reaction arily as opposed to on his Instinct I don't want to say it's like he doesn't want to be in there but it's sort of it seems like he's not exactly thrilled to be fighting tonight definitely didn't want to be in the fighter meeting well it's hard whenever a guy's in your face punching at you making you work the whole time John ea5 is coming out next week that's right I think we start filming ea6 very soon though I actually am not done on five if you really oh my goodness oh nice jab beautiful one of his more significant strikes of the fight yes and Peak now with some more visible damage around that left eye as he presses for oh knee that's another thing that he's done well so far in this fight is that counter knee but he has good job by Peak to leverage the guillotine there to reverse position right out of nice job by pe right the corner calls for the right underhook and looks like he nearly got it come on minute one minute get him out all right one minute to decide it y still has been limited to just 29 significant strike lands thus far yay able to avoid a lot of those shots nice push kick there for [Applause] p let's go take him down and take down for Trevor Peak could be a big take down in this fight there for Trevor Peak and now Peak unofficially four for seven on his taked down attempts he's been the more effective Striker as well down the stretch we come and P out good way to end it yeah you want nice Escape there though from Yaya the damage has been done with that all right competitive fight between Trevor Peak and Mohammad Yaya has the American done enough to come in and spoil the party the answer on the other [Music] side pop it pop it all right back in Abu Dhabi now time for the official decision brought to you by Dav Disabled American Veterans keeping our promise to America's veterans here's Bruce Buffer ladies and gentlemen after three rounds we go to the judges score cars for a decision the judge to score the contest 2928 3027 and 3027 for the winner byous decision Trevor P certainly looked like a pretty clean decision win for Trevor peak tonight as he improves to two and one in the UFC and spoils the debut of the promising Emira Mohamad Yaya well the ultimate 30 alltime UFC roster presented by draftking series debuts this week exclusively on UFC Fight Pass and for any true mixed martial arts fan it should create great debate among those who love the history of the UFC's best and brightest changing the game since 1993 the UFC hits its 30-year anniversary and to celebrate and commemorate we are crowning the alltime roster the ultimate 30 join me and my guide DC as we count down the top 30 fighters in the illustrious history of the Ultimate Fighting [Music] Championship all right we know fight fans are getting excited we will move over to pay-per-view top of the hour first though our featured prelim between two of the flyweight division's top 11 feeling no pressure as he makes his second business trip to Abu Dhabi flyweight Contender Tim Elliott is focused on contention and a win over mohamd MV would put him firmly in the m [Music] [Applause] Mi all right so here's the undefeated mohamd moay making the walk for his fifth UFC appearance Megan certainly has a wisdom and a maturity that belies his 23 years on the planet tonight though most people believe this is his stiffest mixed martial arts test by a considerable margin but not for lack of trying this is someone who's been attempting to fight people in the top 10 for as long as as he's been in the UFC but certainly it is the biggest challenge he has faced to date and he believes that if he's able to put on a performance like he thinks he will have that eventually it will be inevitable that he gets somebody in this top 10 he wants to fight for the title he believes he is right up there with some of the very best at 125 but it's about the opportunities so Tim Elliott has said yes he signed on the dotted line here now Muhammad believes that this is essentially his coming out party to get into that Challenger conversation he was certainly challenged his last time out against Jael filo had to escape a compromising spot kept the O [Music] intact oh I love it I love it yeah DC love it Tim Elliot enjoying life outside that UFC he an outstanding run for Elliot his most recent win over Victor Alano really presented just a a more composed version of Tim Elliot we thought he looked and sounded great in our fighter meeting champ and uh a huge opportunity for him to Halt a hype train tonight yeah he's done a lot of different things from the moment he moved down to Texas uh Johnny told us that living with the family living with has really changed his life he's making better decisions on The Daily from training getting smarter to get in the bed earlier to just kind of doing the things that the family's doing he said in regards to this match up he feels like because m is very technical very traditional it will play to his favor he said The more crazy guys the more kind of tricky guys that he fight are the ones that gives him problems a traditional guy like MV is exactly what he needs in order to show who Tim Elliot is yeah because he can use his awkwardness right he can use his unorthodox striking his unorthodox wrestling his scrambling abilities he thinks that's going to play right into his wheelhouse with somebody M comes right forward uses you know more traditional takedowns all right tail of the tape brought to you by Toyo Tires official Tire of UFC Tim Elliott 36 mohamd MV 23 youngest fighter on the card still the 10th youngest on the entire roster 4 Ines in reach for moay all right now for the intros back inside of Bruce buff ladies and gentlemen this fight is three rounds in the UFC flyweight division introducing first fighting out of the blue Corner an unbeaten mixed martial artist with a record of 10 wins no losses one no contest he stands 5' 7 in tall weighing in at 126 lb fighting out of Manchester England by way of my n Dag Russia muhamed The Punisher M and now introducing his opponent fighting out of the Red Corner a BC Marshall artist holding a professional record 20 wins 12 losses one draw he stands 5' 7 in tall weighing in at 126 lbs fighting out of Kanas City Missouri USA Tim [Music] Eliot and when the action begins our referee in charge Jason Herzog Jason Herzog our referee he will also handle the co-main event between hamach Chimay and kamaru Usman the beautiful red De La Cruz with us here in Abu Dhabi great to have you all with us as we wind down the UFC 294 prelims this fight clock is brought you by tires official Tire of UFC MV is in the white Elliott is in Black Ellie does stuff like that with the leg up hopping towards you could you imagine seeing that in a fight dude up on one leg hopp it towards you oh big take down early there for yeah a shot to make it happen Elliot 36 years of age he told us in the fighter meeting first time he feels his age but mentally technically At His Highest level ever and doing a great job of of managing it not trying to push through it not trying to overtrain as he gets older he said he listens to his body but he feels like in those moments that he's in the gym he's making the most of it said he's the first guy there Y and the last guy to leave every single time and the guy who deserves the credit largely is Chris Brennan Next Generation Jim Frisco Texas as DC reference Elliott now living at his house and he has been the key to this re in form of Tim and it was a force change but sometimes a force change is exactly what you need because a lot of times as athletes you find something that works or at least works well enough and you don't want to change it around stick around it absolutely forced to change and now it's worked out even better for Elliot Tim definitely got to be careful very good jiujitsu great submissions you see he's trying to tie these arms up just biting his time [Applause] nice job by moay to get upright clearly he wants to take the fight to Elliot at least on the feet mkay have decorated amateur career 23 and0 as an amateur and that's not reported that's all documented you can find all those fights online like sh bullet is 70 and0 right I I like shy bullet I've talken about him four times since he left the Octagon M said he did not really respect the fight IQ of Tim ellot thought that he would be able to take advantage of that said he throws wild but he doesn't have much technique he isn't technical Elliot to this point is fighting very well and showing the young man that he's got with vric fighting is yeah and while it may look a little bit different he knows exactly what he's doing oh boy he tried to pull him up to NE him which is clever but the only downside to that is sometimes you don't get the hands off the mat right down good let's take a look here or did he John watch watch watch he got him up but then they go back down okay be careful they're up looked like maybe the right hand was very close my eyes aren't great I'm trying to look in two places at once but I trust the veteran official her back on way just over two minutes to go round one it was definitely worth stopping to take a closer look at it yeah had a lot of fouls tonight boys yeah man I'm hoping um Victor Henry's okay yeah cuz if you're if you're vomiting John from more of an update he is having a testicular ultrasound yeah look at that so just to the thigh though right doctor said it hit your leg bro he had some Choice words to say back to that doctor Victor Henry is going to be cussing that dude all the way back to the US good right hand by mokai have and now a nice combination that's nice love that I love that angle he got on that double leg not staying right in front of Tim Elliot Elliot's holding on to a g I don't know how tight it is though he may just be using it to force a scramble but it's getting tighter it's getting tighter see trying to pull [Applause] back n lost it broke the grip he's going back to it yeah he went back to it you can try to use it to sweep if you're Tim Elliott if you're M you want to just stay here you want to keep your weight forward don't allow for him to start to Arch Back Into You you almost want to Stack him when they're trying to Guillotine you like that we go El good submission defense as we have come to expect from MV el el inside the closed guard of Elliot with 30 seconds to go on the round elb up here yes B do it again slap ears slap his ears slap his ears busy busy busy busy busy big elb have not really able to get much offense off from this position though Tim doing a good job of controlling his posture trying to Elbow from his guard all right round one down round two coming up [Applause] the you like some [Applause] water everything's fine start with your hands box a little bit you're much faster than him he's super slow he's very very slow just work with your hands too much feet too much leg start with hands he starts to duck those are those those are the positions we win that was a close round hey stay go gentlemen you're here to Win It Go hey compete but keep it C okay back in Abu Dhabi and the countdown is on less than 14 minutes until we transition to pay-per-view makasha versus volkanovski 2 and we trust you will join us for that this gu te's a little tighter now Paul and he's got a bit of a he's almost got him into his half guard kind of this is tighter yeah Elliot has a good gu Mak is so patient out though looks like he's going to pop the head out 's making him pay for it though oh yeah he is can't let MV get it over to the opposite side though it released all the pressure saw MV covered his leg over there yep all the never panicked for a second in that Guillotine you know volkanovski suggests that he's essentially unsubmit and feels like MV a hard guy to put away with that was close and he just slowly found the little angles worked his head out it was that last fight didn't he get his knee he got his knee ripped off never tapped got got back and won the fight so very impressive young man tough young kid man and he has a knack for getting in the head of his opponents too you saw he had Tim Elliott pushing him from the way he stood over the end of that round but that's good right you want to kind of agitate your opponent get them out of their game plan you need something we talk about bosot same thing like he needs something to make these higher ranked guys fight him they're not going to just say okay I know the kid's good right let me fight him right they're going to need to find a reason to fight him right it can't just be the undefeated record right MV and bat hoping somebody wants to take their o it actually makes it harder to get a fight by being a young hungry undefeated guy that's so skilled there has to be value in beating you [Applause] Elliot trying to get on a HP to potentially Escape MV staying heavy two takedowns on four attempts for MV thus far get that right knee into the frame the right knee it that right yeah and Tim's got to try to really get some separation here work his way back up it's just time ticking by on his back for a long time took him down immediately as soon as the round started and there's a difference in this and Landing elbows with intent from your back we saw that a little earlier I don't want I don't want to say it again sh bullet bullet I mean yeah on your back Landing elbows winning rounds that's not happening Tim's got to do more if he keeps getting taken down yeah oh nice right here oh threw himself into a submission though yeah that's and here comes that at triangle not that arm tight yeah that's tight although we've seen MV in bad position what a slam to it out of hard's Way by m jeez yet another tight submission yeah that fought his way out of him that was the if he didn't get if he didn't get out of there with that slam he was done y that was a last ditch effort to get himself fre and almost created an angle with the slam didn't come down vertically two submission attempts unofficially for Tim Elliott thus far and John if he would have came straight down vertically that would have been a foul on the head yeah yes on the head me with my knowledge of the fight rules you know but if you slam him on the back it's not slam him on the back like Gerald Harris did back in the day Rampage Jackson had a nice slam knockout like that also one minute now to go round two Elliot controlling posture and limbs Ground Control time starting to pile up for MV almost there let's go time to stand up well this Wednesday I'll be watching Power slap power slap five features four title matches including slap LGE and Wolverine taking on The Undefeated lightning rod Austin Turpin power slap 5 this Wednesday October 25th for more information go to Powers slap.com now Ling second excuse me of round two attemp all right that'll do it for the second round third and final round coming up here on E stand ups and [Applause] knees great job hey you got to recover in the first 10 seconds right here you're going to recover come on big death big breath and hold it flash me can Flash you with the he slammed you I need the big breath he yeah submissions you're doing great on bottom you just got to be more active there like you're doing but use it to get us remember how uh uh Victor just come in waiting with his head down you're going to have to take a chance with the knee or uppercuts he's going to come in and try to take you down he does not want to stand sir make him Miss lomachenko remember the elbows on the inside got to defend this take down right here you see him slam Tim Tim said it flashed him he just told the corner it flashed me when he slammed me yes exactly as coach tell him to recover but watch here I mean he does kind of I mean how on his head yeah that over here please sir over there please all back live third and final round while some of you were in commercial break we caught the corner audio Tim Elliot did say he was flashed by that slam so he was briefly knocked out third and final round is upon us [Applause] Elliot just doesn't seem to here's well pep in his step at a big head kick there if you're Elliot though you got to be smarter here because the last two rounds you trying submissions got you put on your back and you have not shown an ability to get away from Oka but he does take it out oh that's another down one oh down that is illegal his knee is not and that yeah but his hand was too that was a fairly devastating blow man these referees have had a lot to deal with tonight so a couple of clean shots and then a dirty [Applause] one hands are up I mean I can't see the [Applause] backside second one it doesn't look like it oh maybe cuz he's in the catcher squat come position think okay yeah I don't think that's why they put the back there okay you're in a front lock position you guys ready you're right the catcher like he's just he's squatting down nice job by her it looks bad from certain angles but he's not actually down now he's down when the hand goes up you can KNE yeah but here's the deal they have told us time and time again Ma you cannot play the game hand down hand up knee down knee up they told you as officials that the athlete cannot play the game and right now Mak is playing the game oh nasty that was nasty oh my God that sick that's called a peek out right there you peek out of the open side arch your back back into your opponent you get to his hips and you get a take down is kick and wrestle man great job by MV that was beautiful well that is his chief and original martial art right Born in dastan the wrestling Mohamad MV and he was limited right because of the amount of travel he could do he was limited to how far he could take his wrestling unreal that was nasty PE out by m I'm glad you were here to talk us through that CH yeah you got to it when it work I knew it I just I didn't want to say it first when you here I get it Paul like sometimes it be like me calling out a strike you know I got to let you do that like an elbow you can't call an elb yeah I can't call an elbow we we know our rules here guys fascinating fight though a lot to unpack lot for the judges to sort of consider still three minutes to decide it keep that was pretty even wrestling can be pretty when done right oh man fight get Elliot just on his back too much in this fight can't seem to get away can't seem to find any space to get back up right and even though he has been offering up submissions not a good tryangle here this is tight beautiful job by m wow Mohamed m still undefeated submits to Elliot to rise to the top 10 a flyweight Contender emerges tonight 23-year-old Mohamad MV it was exactly what he needed he needed a statement win and that's what he got by beating a guy at Tim Elliott who fought the best of the best Demetrius Johnson and so many other great Fighters right here look at this peak out watch how he dips and he looks across his back oh my goodness that's nasty that is nasty love that hey guys I'm going to go talk to Muhammad m K we'll be [Applause] here unbelievable let's take a look at the finish here starts to line up this arm triangle you see Elliot just gets his arm caught there for too long trying to hold on to this and Makai have shown his strength and just squeezes all the space out there didn't even get his leg all the way to the other side just hooks onto that outside leg of Tim Elliott and quickly gets the tap this kid's a problem it's a true Contender now at at
