Two Story RV! The enormous Grand Lodge 42View

what's going on guys so we are out here in Dallas Texas at the Fun Town RV show in the at T Center which is the Dallas Cowboys stadium and we're going to take a look at this absolutely insanely large Destination Style travel trailer this thing is super cool and you know when you get something like this it's really meant to kind of be left at a piece of property next to a lake next to something with an absolutely fantastic View and then you bring your whole family out and enjoy it but we're going to hop inside of this thing and we're going to show you what it's all about if you haven't had a unit this thing is absolutely enormous it's got a length of over 45 feet long has a gross vehicle weight rating of 15 635 pounds this thing is absolutely huge the dry weight on this unit is 11 847 pounds so this thing is heavy before you even load it up and it's got a cargo carrying capacity of 3729 pounds so the numbers on this thing are absolutely insane it rides on f rated tires now basically indicative of a unit that's just meant to kind of be left somewhere anyways we're going to take a closer look at the inside of this unit then we'll hop back out and take a look at the outside has a manual front tongue jack which is very common with Destination Style trailer since they're mainly meant to be left somewhere and not necessarily drug all over the country so you don't really need to make adjustments that much twin 30 pound propane cans can fit up front looks like it might even be able to fit 40 Pounders as scissor style stabilization up front and on the back has a very uh kind of a neutral looking scheme to the side in terms of Graphics but this is a very very tall unit looking underneath it rides on a 12 inch I-beam frame with a 12 inch drop beam and it has a drop beam both on the front and the back and that drop beam is what enables you to have the Second Story type feel with this unit but yeah this is the 42 view which is actually closer to 45 feet long so this thing is a Goliath and it's very heavy it actually weighs more than a lot of mid-size fifth wheels which is pretty crazy taking a look at the numbers so this has an MSRP of 104 507 discounted 31 519 for a sale price a 72 988 and I think once you take a look at the inside of this unit you're going to see that and you know in reality it's actually not that bad of a value okay so let's hop inside of this unit and I'll show you what's going on so right when you walk in you got this really cool spiral staircase that takes you up to a loft area or a second floor area in the I guess the front of this unit you have a really nice bunk bed on this side then you look around the back you got two more back there and this is just an absolutely enormous space nice blackout Shades as well so you can keep it really nice and dark if it's bright outside and you want to be able to sleep in an extra few hours you have your control panel over there plus what they've done underneath this area it's really nice a bunch of baskets to be able to store things looking up right here you can see you got more windows that kind of line all of the upper portion of this unit hence the name View and some nice curtains stepping up front into the master bedroom you have a really really cool layout here a lot of wardrobe just absolutely everywhere and this unit has a king-sized bed but I think there's a queen size option but you even have nightstands next to it nice drawers nice fireplace just a really really nice convenient setup with a lot of space for wardrobe especially if you're going to be kind of extended staying in this at a piece of property Windows just completely kind of surround the front corner of this RV which give you a great view outside especially if you're at again at a really nice beautiful area lots of wardrobe here solid surface Corian style countertop and you're gonna have some additional storage here underneath the bed as well plus kind of a cool little area here that you could use for shoes and things like that I really like what they've done here with the ceiling as well they've put a nice board up there as opposed to the traditional you know kind of plastic ceiling all right coming around into the kitchen space huge island nice dual Basin stainless steel sink with an upgraded faucet and straining rack looking over here you have a furion cooktop with furion stove beneath it nice residential size microwave a lot of Cabinetry a lot of really nice Corian style countertops you have a french door refrigerator as well just a really really functional very residential style kitchen and you know to those of you who think we use the term residential too much in videos that's kind of the goal you want to feel like you're in a residence as opposed to an RV again a lot of space to be able to store things because if you're going to keep this on a piece of property you definitely want to be able to have the ability to keep the things in it that you would want again look at the windows look at the divider between the living room space and the kitchen as well and the light fixtures very unique and then you have a couple bar stools under here actually a four of them you have two on the other side and two on this side and one at the end so five of them so even more than I thought and again here's the price 72 988 again when you look at a unit that's 45 feet long over fifteen thousand pounds with this much space and amenities and you're looking for like a tiny home this can absolutely substitute one and it may actually save you a little bit of money let's see let's get him to open up this Pantry over here so you can see inside nice motion detection light a lot of room up there got your ceiling fan over here this unit I believe has two air conditioning units elevator it might have an optional third and then you have this enormous kind of wraparound L-shaped sofa this thing is huge very very large very what you would expect to see in the living room of a home Windows everywhere and I like how they use curtains and curtain rods my wife would really love that panoramic fireplace and sound bar above it and then let's take a look up these stairs so you have a spiral staircase in the front and you have a traditional staircase in the back then you have more bunk space up here very very tall ceiling Heights for these spaces it's probably upwards of three and a half feet so you know when you look at how much room your traditional Loft has ADD about a half a foot to that and that's typically you know a large Loft and then you add another half a foot to that and that's what this one looks like okay so coming into the main bathroom this thing is really really nice it's a huge bathroom area this is a very very again residential porcelain foot flush toilet beautiful beautiful shower it's a very kind of mixed shower because it has some kind of mid-level like the shower surround but then it has a really nice upgraded sprayer head with multiple heads and a wand so again they've kind of mixed it up here you have a nice window off of the back of it over here you have your Corian style sink as well as a nice mirror in the back and lighting above any of your drawers here and kind of a resort style towel holder beneath it which is really cool and over here you have some Pantry space or some some uh closet space if you want to be able to put toiletries things like that and then on this side you're gonna have your stackable Splendid washer and dryer very very nice I bet you guys weren't expecting that you might have expected prep but to actually have a unit already equipped with it it's pretty dang nice to be honest with you blackout Shades as well so you can block out the night or just keep your privacy in here very very nice sink this area looks absolutely wonderful looks very much like high-end Hotel all right so let's kind of take another quick glance at the inside of this so you can see what's going on here and we'll step outside see what the outside is all about but yeah could you see yourself having something like this next to a beautiful beautiful piece of scenery outside whether it be a lake a pond you know or land okay so now that we're on the outside starting from the front working our way back again manual tongue jack coming around you can see all the huge Windows all over this thing we already went over the fact that it has the 12 inch I-beam with a 12 inch drop beam both in the front and back very very you know what I would consider to be a vanilla suspension system it does not have an upgraded equalizer does not have greasable wet bolts or shackle straps I mean this is an area that I do recommend the manufacturers take a little bit more time you know has standard Rainier tires on it but if they put a little bit more money there I think just the peace of mind that you can tow this at least to those spots that you want to keep it would definitely outweigh that cost again there are scissor stabilization here in the back this does have LED lighting even though it kind of looks incandescent and you have that back window right here over here you can have your tank flush and then you have a 50 amp cable right here to power your electronics ACS all of that stuff they took some doors off so it was a little easier to navigate on the inside with so many people going in and out check this out residential water heater how often do you see a Rheem residential tank water heater inside of an RV that is crazy and I know there are other destination units that I've featured that have this but it's still kind of shocking every time I come across a unit that has something like this because it's kind of untraditional and you have all rack and pinion slides again that very standard running gear you know when your tank drains right there you have another one up here up front and again that frame is absolutely massive there's the underside of the slides now here's something that's interesting this has three sets of stabilization so three sets of scissor Jacks some on the front the middle and the back I have never seen that before in an RV that's crazy and then you have some storage here which is actually storage under the bed so you got quite a bit of it right there you can see the guys from the show here are putting some of their stuff there but what do you guys think of this absolutely insanely large Destination Style travel trailer again over fifteen thousand pounds when fully loaded over 11 000 pounds dry with over 3 500 pounds worth of cargo carrying capacity which in reality means you're probably gonna have this thing loaded up to probably about 13 000 pounds I couldn't imagine you loading up with anyone any more than that definitely something that you need to tow with a very very large capable truck at least a dually only because of how this thing is going to add weight to the back which is about 1600 pounds
