that's nice that's nice i like that too but i think they own shad instead of bluegill man i don't i don't tell you what they own they don't nothing he's any on nothing i don't know what they got him laid out though he got one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen fourteen fifteen twenty three twenty seven fifty one how many rosin is cold [Music] hey it's the first morning of the bassmaster opens let's get her done and let her snort [Music] no practice wasn't wasn't wasn't my spectacular these are fall time tournaments i think the perspective of what everybody thinks a fall time tournament is versus a spring time tournament we don't really have tournaments in the fall so nobody really knows what to expect but it's almost always tough i don't think it's just it's just hard it's just it's just hard to catch them in the fall so i think it's easy to win these kind you know even though i'm not catching that meaning like i know the opportunities out there for me to do be really good because i mean it's going to be hard it's going to be hard so if you get one or two bites here and there just one or two things go right but i'm out of classic being the best mattress plastic real fast if uh you can get just if you can just kind of stay focused on the water and don't get too discouraged and start kicking your odds around and cussing and doing all that it'll be good got some weather coming in it says friday and saturday so that should be interesting because it's been hot sunny flat calm nothing nothing for five days in a row which is probably some of the reason why fishing's not exactly ideal because it's uh it's just been sunny no pulling water no nothing so they may decide that they want to try to pull the water down in the anticipation of the of the rain coming which could make things interesting i mean it is [Music] it ain't gonna matter somebody gonna win it whether they pour water drop the lake it don't matter if they decide to drop a nuclear bomb on it chris is still gonna crown a champion i don't know about the new football but [Music] so we're boat number 79 this morning we're about to get started should be a good day the weather's exactly the same i got nothing to blame nothing on today they're not pulling no water it's not cloudy it's not foggy ain't nobody cussed at me i got no excuses it's all on me today so me and my buddy robert texas over here [Music] robert's gonna show me how to catch him today probably that's what i'm hoping it's gonna work out like robert said he's gonna show me how to get this thing done mean he is pale he looked like he feel like he needed to get a suntan he needs a suntan i come out here to catch spotted bass i thought all right try another stretch i'm kind of looking i'm gonna go back through down through here look for another little shallow stretch this is not so we're really just going to do this probably wrestling today you won't measure though buddy 11 inches here he [Music] it's a is one before he just barely had it too did you just break her on yes i could i heard it and i was like damn is that my rod they're on that point they'll be good ones if they're there small one right there yeah that's my dealership there buddy that's my dealership they got everything you need there he is that's a good one that's a freaking giant that's a good one no it's not it's not a giant but get rid of that 12 incher i got all right [Music] let's get rid of it [Music] a little midday check in fishing is not nearly as uh well obviously i knew it was gonna be hard but i kind of thought i had it figured out enough to where i was gonna catch like a lot of fish today and i guess it's been a decent day but i really thought like i was gonna catch you know i thought i was going to catch them a lot quicker it took me a little bit of time to get some momentum going today but everything that i thought was going to work was going to work except for my little cranking thing and i had my doubts about that which you saw first thing this morning anyway but uh i've been trying to trying to look for some new water as i'm as i'm fishing because i know i'm not gonna be able to run the same water again tomorrow as hard as fishing is today it's gonna be ten times harder tomorrow so i i gotta really be intentional about thinking about what i'm gonna be doing for the next day or so but they're biting they're they're on that shallow docks any kind of shallow wood seems to be the thing but i just gotta find enough of it i i know i don't have enough to get me through to tomorrow giant dude boom good good dude i flipped it up by that ladder that thing was taken off bro heck yeah oh he's barely hooked too yeah that's a very good call very very very good core right there that's what i'm getting rid of like you can barely even get to this dock [Applause] i felt funny i didn't even check it because you know you can't be checking with me and stuff like that i don't that might not have been one i don't think it was oh wow that's a bigot oh my god oh dude he hit it like a freaking brim oh my god he's nasty but god he's gonna help me a whole bunch holy smokes bro he hit it look at that thing he was like i was like dude what is that that's so freaking good you see how many times i flipped it before he got it yeah so i got bit there and practiced the last day i didn't set the hook on on either one of them that's why you don't set the hook on them in practice right there next dude he hit it like a freaking one two three four five yeah oh still got a lot of time [Laughter] all right that's a wrap for today let's take it to weigh in and see what we got today and see uh see what everybody else has got be pretty interesting after the dust settles up if we can duplicate what we got we should be okay but man that's gonna be a tall order um happy with what went down today but i spent like the last few minutes looking around see if i can find more of what i've been fishing got through day one now we got to figure it out for day two [Music] maybe i probably should have said nine get up and have eight fifteen you told somebody you had ten you automatically look like the biggest idiot in the country oh just without the wrong plan we're illegal right now i think we're going down the wrong way but it was a uh decent day today i did uh i was able to catch me five bass today i actually caught like 10 bass today but i gotta admit for the first probably uh three or four hours i was like this day is gonna be interesting i hit hole number one nothing all number two nada hole number three and four nothing i think it was until hey robert we went oh they're shooting over here we went about five places before i got a bite yeah about five five places before i got a bite um and then after after i i called like two pretty quickly and then a move caught two pretty quickly again and then i went like two or three hours without a bite and so um i don't know i just kept hunting pecking around pecking around and i ended up just catching one here one there one here one there pulled up to a little culvert caught like two in a row and by the end of the day i had like 12 keepers so there's that buddy let's go get a bag of whales [Music] classic not too long ago [Music] how is that oh big bass cool i didn't think i had that much in there come on we have three anglers did they start well alabama all right need 13 13 to take the lead gonna be close yes it is 12 pounds six ounces second place right now join india quick match greg that held up for exactly one angler brian letterman melton south carolina got himself a good start day number one one second we're good we're good we're good brian's five just shy 10 pounds at 9 13 9 13 gonna you tied for 15. beside that top 20 and time for 15th place it's gonna be so hard to do that i had to work my butt off to catch 9 13. i don't know how in the world i'll do that again let's go uh get these rods put up get ready for tomorrow i guess that's really all we got to do now [Music] do [Music] that ain't him he got diesel that ain't him you catch them good today hey yeah no well i caught like 10 fish today yeah that's good no no itty bittys hey i got threats i wait a little limit yo that's good i mean i'm in the mix yeah you got a limit you're gonna be good it took me all day to get that third fish too i mean i got them 30 minutes yeah that's good you caught you called three because i guarantee you that that was not normal i knew it was gonna be funky because i get to my first spot it's all dead slit calm the fog and you know i was like man this cranking stuff probably not gonna work today but i gotta try because all the best fish i caught in practice was cranking right so i tried that i hit spot number one nada i went spot number two in canoe creek nah go spot number three in canoe creek and i just i kept picking around pecking around and i ended up catching my you know just catch one here one there well just just what scared me is i run a lot of water i run a lot of water that i that i should that i should have a lot of water like was fishing and i didn't cat i didn't even get bit man show on the tree house baby tree house i bet you have never seen a place like this ever before this is the tree house that we're staying in and yes it is really around the tree house this is not just a house it's a real tree house i'll leave the link for this place in the description box of this video it's on the hill so i'm kind of patting a little bit but come on up the slide is not the way up the slide the way down this place you got everything that you need it's got a little kitchen this is james's sofa slash bed hey you know where james is at is he he must have died i don't know i guess he'll be here i know a lot of you design people but this is the tree you can see this place literally is built around a freaking tree got the lights watch this i'm gonna show you something let me look at that it's amazing huh but there's two ways to get up to the bedroom i can go up through the fire ladder right here or we can go up the staircase this is this is how you can get upstairs right here my kids would love this dude i'm like almost 40 years old now got it like i used to so this is the upstairs the lounging area upstairs and then we're going to my bedroom which is a wreck right now okay look at this huh come on cuz this one is kind of weird but i like it though this is supposed to be like the little kid kevin got his fan in there perfect place so if you got kids i promise you they love this place it's got a room especially for them it's small it's tiny it's just a small house man man i'm gonna come out here on this couch kill them show me what you got kim that what my daddy's calling kill me can't see it yeah look at all them brussels is laying in there and there ain't no bristles made in them they could have been they you know the fat boy i know what it is hey we like them both yeah we like them man listen i was up there taking a nap and i got to smelling something it started smelling real good james he started licking this time hey man i got to smelling that chicken up there in that treehouse room i like to broke the door down trying to get out here buddy come on cuz they call it day two i call it move-in day because today we got catching and as hard as it was yesterday we're gonna have to do it even harder today so there's there good luck to you my man let's dump this donkey in the water dude if you wake up sleepy and you come to one of these bassmaster awakens wait uh blast off you'll get woke up then always wake up a little dry and then i go by the loudspeaker then i'm like whoa so we're just gonna come out here like that this morning huh i did catch some going up river that's the thing like they pour water in the afternoons so i'm thinking they're going down first and then if i can just go down and catch two or three like preferably like three and then lead the lower end like one 130 be up here at two o'clock go to my upriver spots and bang out two or three more they got to be good so i can't be coming back for three for three pounds i'm thinking something like that might work [Music] robertson 95 by detroit all right here we go it's move-in day i gotta try to make it happen it's gonna be harder today than it was yesterday so i'm gonna have to really concentrate do my job make this thing happen one thing about it i don't have a co-angler today as you see right like nobody fishing with me you know we've got more boaters in this event than we do co-english old falcon 205 gonna literally try to leave the water this morning by myself a little brisk kind of cool that mercury likes the cool air we might not catch that many fish today before we gonna have a drag race this morning he kind of culvert or something like that where water can get through it's always good idea to fish any time they're any time they're moving water i don't think they're moving water this morning but it just seems like a good place to start off to get a bite like that right there oh did he come off no he didn't come on he's barely hooked though uh he might keep i think he will keep that was right on cue right right as i was telling you he will make 12 inches so that was easy i got the day started off right off the bat i ain't even got water in my japanese yet i gotta put some water into my little jacuzzi before i even get him in there so you know just fill up the water i turn on my auxiliary he'll jump around and act a little monkey there for a little bit he'll be just fine number two possibly might not be number two awfully awfully awfully small he is not number two he is 11 inches he's got to be 12 inches there we go finally he's just a keeper but we gotta start somewhere it gives us two keepers he was on that ladder dude that ladder thing is a deal you find a ladder on the dock there you go right there yeah i got me no ain't big so that's a digging there's number four there's number four um they look white like wintertime bass or something heck that's about these fish love atlantic i guess they figured a lot of days will be greater than before [Music] that's not five i think if he'll make it i think he makes 12. he is not 12 inches he is 11 inches [Music] if he ain't gonna make it either eleven and a quarter what is up with these small little fish that's number five maybe god he's small too on that daggone ladder look how fat this fish is he might not even make 12 inches if he's 12 he's he's 12 and a half god he's fat yo yo yo so as expected it is definitely uh not as easy to catch a bass today um i do have my five ass limit but man i had to run through i ran through everything in about half the time today um just not a lot first of all there's not a lot of the kind of stuff that i'm catching them on and i think i went through the fish that was available to catch so i'm about to make a run upriver to uh to where i actually found this pattern at there's two generators i looked at my app on my phone just now there's a generator going down at nila henry damn it's a generator going down at the weiss dam so i'm gonna go up river the current should be a little bit more condensed up there because it's smaller space and uh maybe i'll be able to catch feel like upgrade my my limit my fish are small right now like really small like five and a half six pounds so maybe i can upgrade up there uh with a couple two two and a half pounders and slide into the cut i think if i catch two i think i need to catch like two two and three quarters or three two pounders and i can i can make the cut today probably let's go let's hit it and see what we can come up with look at that oh god come on baby come on baby come on baby come on baby yes isn't that crazy i flipped that thing like five times my way out i flip back up there again that's a little bit of an upgrade right [Music] there goose yeah all right it's a good one get up i was like yeah that's gonna be a small one right here you kind of got in give up mode and like well at least you tried and i've set back on that one oh i don't think he'll help don't think he'll help either oh now i don't think you'll help dang i'm sure some people caught them better today and i'm sure some people call them worse as much as i hate to admit it i'm probably one of the people that caught them worse today but i did all i could with them saw it caught plenty of fish my stuff worked the best i knew how to make it work go in and weigh them in and we'll not be making the day three cut unfortunately [Music] we got hey my man oh says it means you got little ones like that right there tougher day i knew it was gonna be tougher i just got little ones i don't know what to say let's go get a bag and we'll see what it's all about you're gonna have to use whatever you tell me about frame rating and zooming in you're gonna need like extra zoom on these bad boys specimen number one specimen number two specimen number three specimen number four i can't believe i got as many bisons i got and then catching two pounders [Music] brian latimer built in south carolina had nine pounds at 13 ounces on day no more he's got a limit of fish today 12-12 take the lead 7-13 get him inside the top 12. gonna fall a little shy both to have you in 14th place right now thank you yes sir thank you good morning from lakeville minnesota andy rebar all right i could've just set the hook on like two two pounders a day i didn't lose no fish though dude it was so crazy you could flip like like this ladder thing i was catching them all like almost every bite they come on doc letters and so you flip up there to the ladder you flip to the left flip to the right flip on the ladder no bites all right and then you start trolling past the ladder and flip up there one last time and you're like i think i got one on there what do you do cowboys i don't know i had 6 13 today yeah 9 13 yesterday i was 15 when i went and he's got he's got almost nine pound spots and he had 10 12. man i don't know what to tell you i caught everything that i was supposed to catch them on work they just i set the hook and they found one oh dude i did that today i i jumped off three that's just keepers but i had three dude that looked like hammer handles they just socks dude it was almost like they were spawning well you get to go home go deer hunting i guess right one week off yeah man good to see you probably if i know everybody was struggling as bad as it was i might have had i might have slowed down a little bit i just kept feeling like i needed to find something fine so yeah up guys yeah i just felt like i i needed to find something you need to find something i just uh i could have slowed down i just can't believe i caught that many fish and never called it two pounds all right you ready mitchell he's ready what's up my man oh you wanna say yeah put here right here below scots i'm gonna write it way bigger than the spot yeah thank you what was your name again evan evan nice to meet you evan take care buddy thanks for coming today i'm so tired like right i don't even know if i got legs man i've always been pro mask until the day boy that thing was about to my glasses are fogging up dude i can't i think i got a little delirious i can't even tell what i'm saying somebody said something to me they said what did david tell me he said he said how are the kids i said i had 9 13.
