Trying SKIMS Shapewear on TWO Different Body Types !! Is it worth the $$$?!

everyone so today we are doing a very exciting video in this video we are going to be trying a brand that I feel like was so talked about for one reason in particular was because of the strange ads and you know what if there's one way to get publicity it's to get people talking because people think something's weird or strange or whatever you want to say I did feel like those ads were a little bit strange my name is Kendall not in like a bad way really like it's very harmless nothing too triggering there the only thing was there was a lot of blank space and I don't know something about no speaking and quietness makes me uncomfortable maybe it's a void in my life where I have to be constantly talking I'm not sure but it doesn't really matter everything I've just talked about for the last 20 seconds really doesn't matter today we are going to be trying skims now what is skims you may ask I will read directly off of the Instagram brand skims is the new solution focused approach to shape enhancing undergarments founded by the Kim Kardashian so I'm sure you guys have probably heard about this brand basically it is like a modern take and like different shaping of spanks spanks the correct term I just know whenever my mom would be getting ready and I was young and she'd slip on something I'd always be like what is that like that's not your outfit and then she'd be like it's Spanx and I was like oh okay speaking of my mom she absolutely will be in this video we are going to be trying on both of these undergarments on myself and also her and I gotta be honest this video kind of started from something else so I was immediately enticed by the very soft looking loungewear so this video was kind of an excuse for me to get that but then as I was like shopping on the site it spiraled into okay now I actually am like very interested to try this shapewear and see how it works on me and also on my mom my mom is the only person that I really know to have ever worn Spanx I've actually never warned them so I don't know how good I will be at judging them but I know because she has tried other types other brands other aren't their garments she will be a better judge because she has had like experience with them basically so you guys probably can't tell but I'm actually wearing like a tight dress right now because I wanted to wear something that the before of my body might look a little bit different of the after when I'm wearing the shapewear so no sweatpants today we're wearing something tight and fitted but my mom is also wearing like us basically body con metallic dress it's very interesting because some of the pieces just screams so different to me than like anything I've ever seen like there's some pretty basic ones there like the short the mid area the waste but then there's this one that's like half of the leg is there and half isn't there and I don't know if that's just like a trendy look or if some people have a little bit more of an issue with the right leg versus the left whatever whatever I don't know to me it just looks like it would be like a design aesthetic guys while editing this I just realized it's probably for if someone has like a slit in the dress because if you have a slit in your dress you don't want like anything to be out on your leg so if you have like a slit on the right side of your dress then you probably want the left like short that makes sense I'm just realizing how like so little I know about this brand and so little I know but the Kardashians maybe this will be a learning experience for me as well I think without further ado we will get into looking at the products let's go okay so here is the huge box that everything was delivered in now it is probably worth noting that the shipping was around $200 and keep in mind these pieces are in no way cheap pieces they are not super expensive but to me they seemed pretty expensive to be honest I know I just contradicted myself like if you want this shapewear you better actually want it but yes so the shipping was $200 and I get it you're Kim Kardashian but like oh my gosh like $200 Curly's serious mm-hmm so skins I am not plastic I'm compostable made for plants I will biodegrade in your home compost and in an industrial compost facility the loungewear that I wanted to show you guys so soft so I ended up getting myself a set and I also thought I should get my mama set because you know she's gonna be in this video with me and I know she'll like how soft it is I think she definitely will overheat in this but I thought you know what we can't leave her out on the fun so I decided to get this mint color as you can see it kind of matches my nails right now these are the shores and on the size chart I was an extra extra small which is kind of crazy so we'll see if that's actually right after wanting this specific piece of fabric for so long it lives up okay I know these were pretty pricey but the softness if you can afford it if you really really want it it's as soft as it looks you guys is basically what I'm trying to say and then I also went ahead and picked up the tank top to go with it now I think that I got this in the same size I'm pretty sure there's not a tag on this one but here it is I think this is going to be like an adorable set it's a tank and shorts should it be worn in the summer but it's so fluffy is it a winter set we don't know and then I could not help myself I genuinely couldn't and I really am curious to see how these fit they are the full-length flared lounge pants so everything other than this this set and the one that I got my mom is going to be shape shapewear so we will see how this set is on first I'm just going to show my mom her set and we will put them on together so let me call my mom up here metallic red mom as you know I haven't really dove into undergarments or like Spanx I guess you like are these are Spanx right like am I just gonna have like endless comments being like they're not Spanx they're undergarments you have dove into body shapewear before just very mildly because after having three babies and there's no judgment here why would you judge someone for wearing shapewear okay there was a time I do whatever you guys want if you don't want to I don't if you want to then do it doesn't matter that's not something someone should judge another on a little bit that I've tried has not been the highest of quality so I don't I don't know if it was just like the garment that I was wearing but it seemed to just like differ the problem to another area I get made my tummy small but then it need him up before that I did buy loungewear sets for both of us just because that's what actually enticed me to this brand in the first is are you ready oh I'm excited oh I'm not plastic also we'll be matching but my eyes like I'm in color and I got you black oh my goodness Wow is it Eversole right yeah what a surprise Wow they're shorts oh yeah those are really cute yeah I was thinking we would try it on we're gonna be oh nice okay but we will go and try both of these on because yes it feels great but we'll see how it fits yeah it's give it a try let's give it a try oh my gosh we're just like teddy bears oh yeah these are really nice the fit is like perfect - I was worried that the shorts would be a little bit big but they're not they fit great I think these are cute enough to wear - even Sunday dinner will wear these on Sunday to do right this is like super adorable you guys what we said about the fabric it stands the fabric is so so comfortable it's so cute I am so I like I feel stressed because I might need every color and I know for a fact that I can't afford it I think we should put the pants on it yeah I think so too okay Liz was cute on you they look cute on you quite often you go to put on like things like this and loungewear pajamas and they're too short yeah no it's true oh my goodness oh you know what I just thought of chip is gonna destroy the No possibly a human teddy bear it's really cute and I really like the muted colors that she offers - I feel like if these were maybe a little bit too vibrant it wouldn't give the same vibe like yes I probably would like them and probably would want them but I like the color choices that Kim chose assuming she did choose them but like I think they're very cute like I don't have anything else this minty color other than my nail polish so I'm excited to have them let's get into the actual reason people are here the shape we're now looking at it in the box I can't really tell what's what let me see so this is a high-waisted song on their website I was an extra-small which is a little alarming because like I'm not an extra-small but when I checked the waist size and the hip size that was what it was also this sounds like a nice case gimmes on it no shapewear that I bought before it came in a bag like this just tell you one other oh my word is that ever small is supposed to fit in that I don't think I could get one leg in that honestly I don't think I could get one leg in like we like is the look worth the discomfort well and it has some gummy stuff on the top just to keep it up like will I lose circulation find you passed out somewhere okay I better try this one on you can be the judge of it okay it did something and I will let you guys know if it's uncomfortable but this is the first one I'll try this one on because I don't you can try it on if you want my gosh um that's your size showing off like the bumps and everything so as you can see I have a little bit of a stomach right now and then from the front you can see where my stomach is and also like where my hip dips are so I think this dress should be the one that we try the shapewear on when we're in it so I'm gonna put the first one on with this dress okay you guys let's see if I can fit in here oh gosh oh my oh my gosh mom how are you can you get extra extra small bite little but how how do they expect you oh my gosh how would anyone wear this it feels like it's breaking my hips oh it's killing me oh my goodness and it's all pushing down my bed oh but it hurts it really has flattened out the front and like the thing though is it does have like a little bit of a poof out right here like cuz from being so tight to not I feel like that won't help like hip tip wise okay let's see okay aside from the fact that you can see it because oh yeah so a sheer dress probably wouldn't work okay so here's what the after looks like I don't really like it cuz like there's like little pieces that are like puffing out like if I really tighten it like that you guys can really see look at that line do you want to try and pair jeans on it doesn't even fit a new upgraded food see you don't see them you don't see the pooch oh no it's late yeah you're right okay so I would say with this one and you couldn't wear like a crop top unless you wanted that sticking out you need to wear like like that I would say the verdict on this one is it definitely thins your waist it definitely poof's out your butt and then the other things like more than negatives I would say it's a little bit tight here so you wouldn't want to wear like a sheer thin fabric but if you're worried about it like kind of cutting circulation in this region you don't have to worry about that I think they've been made to like keep that in mind I think more the worry would be just right here that's really the only place feels too tight like yes it is a little bit uncomfortable but not nearly what I expected like if I was really wanting to look super like I think that I would maybe wear this like I'd have to really want it but I could see it happening like I like these you're filling those pants oh I'm feeling so this one is a medium now I did do the size Church okay oh so hopefully this will be good for you did you okay I don't remember what I got you to be honest I love that it comes in a neat bike it's like that yeah it's cute okay what do we have oh it's like it looks like biking shorts and it looks oh it's waist and legs oh that's exactly what I love and then it leaves like a mesh because it doesn't want to compress your booty oh my goodness is not what you want to push if the extra goes here maybe it directs the extra to the caboose you actually to leave like a mesh part if that forces the Rhine extra to go out to the Boone that is interesting that I should be right like honestly like look at how little these legs are I know in the medium like they're gonna compress you know bubbling out at the knees so those were $98 us oh my dear Lord that's like quite a bit I guess okay wait when you think about it though you buy it once how long do you keep it for yeah this is an investment in my like closet like yeah it's like oh my goodness you can try this on so this will be really good for like the stomach and also the legs and hopefully the boot yeah let's see here is without anything on from the front from the side she's thick these are the super super holding ones you know like these are the ones that like you really want to pull everything is going to entomb up this would be a workout in the morning you're gonna go swimming and then go to a party mom that looks pretty good wow it really smooths my tummy totally like and then lots of times they stand like this who's they are you talking about like a lots of times they do standing you look super curvy like they're little itty bitty ways you're loving it aren't you oh she's gonna be camp lookout so for mine we thought Phrygians I would say for this one anything right anything just keep in mind it shouldn't be sheer cuz like this is black like if it's like you're wearing a light white dress that's sheer you're gonna be able to see it but other than that I think it's really really nice she can say oh yeah I'm gonna show you in this next one because it's just for you cuz you're the only one with some month up top yeah I'm not a very good candidate for this but we've got body tape Oh Kim Kardashian has like a very interesting and intricate intricate intricate way to tape the DA her booboo so that when she wears like a plunging neckline they're not like hanging I guess they're like sitting up but you can't wear like a bra that goes all the way through so she'll tape it like literally from like she has a video and used to tape it like up from the sides up through up to here and then around where the plunging neckline have it's so it's instead of wearing a bra you debt yourself wearing Wow so later yeah going to take you why you would like this this actually excites me cuz I have a few like dresses that aren't like they're just strapless and no strapless bra fits or does to me what is no no thank you this works and then your old it won't be slipping off yeah and this will be a pretty hefty role like unless when you rip this part off hold on no like you might have been in there like I thought maybe it would stop right here where this sticky was but no this is like a pretty full role overall but this was $36 no oh my goodness no we gotta hide this from dad we don't need to find this draped in the garage he's a doctor so okay we're going to try and tape my mama Kardashian tutorial we'll see how perky you can be Kim Kardashian gets the Turrell on how to use her gentle boob tape after her skin way what after skin was after her skin was ripped my so that's it that's it I feel like we definitely can do that yeah do you want though oh yeah why not oh it's hard work being Kim K okay let me sign about first I'll just make two cuts of that okay cuz like it's pretty basic this feels like nice tape though yeah because she did the top first she yeah and then just like this yeah actually I think so like whatever you think you think we should Mia you're the pro you can really apply the tape in different ways that I've seen before people do bras like that oh yeah that feels actually like it's supporting something weird though cuz you never show any cleavage but you know they do that I would honestly be so good you forgot to do it with your butt alright so the next thing for me to try is this skins by the way this is like different packaging fun packaging this is like that soft matte also which I just I literally love soft matte packaging it's like hard to throw away yeah it's pretty satisfying and this is an open bust slip dress so those last ones that we tried were like super support so they're supposed to really hold you in this one is less support but it's still supposed to like hold you in oh my gosh again my waist is like oh my gosh that my it's a skirt also like this down here it definitely feels like it's compressing the most on the waist and under the boob area like this like almost like you know those tension bands that you work out like this tension band down here would be like light the tension band on the waist would be heavy the only thing though is this would get so hot winter in the summertime wearing this under a dress yeah like I wonder if it's gonna be moisture wicking material or if it's gonna hold the moisture in and make us like wet we'll be able to know because it's like 25 degrees in here yeah yeah cuz if it doesn't make you nice like if you breathe like it's super something this fabric is like high-quality oh okay let's try them on together cuz yours is the open bus bodysuit it's not the same oh is this the same thing oh I think it might be the same thing oh yours a sure - okay so excited when you're honestly you were gonna wear it wear this after the video you like to really jump suits and stuff yes I thought you might like this one word for real life if you decide to wear it and also you're a little more tan than me oh this is very very intriguing to see what this is gonna do for us alright let's put on yeah I'm nervous to try and get into that I'm gonna be like a thousand degrees by the time I mean that honestly says this will be our workout the sweating workout to get into these so this one is the not pants oh [Applause] yes just got WAY longer from you or that means such a difference yeah it totally did really yeah oh yeah you're right it totally and you know what it flattened the stomach without all the pain of the other yeah this one is a lot more wearable you guys like if you're thinking about like if you get uncomfortable in like tight clothing I would definitely say this one's a lot better let's get my mom in hers though and then we'll see okay these are a lot more comfy yeah this one and the really high support so why wouldn't you just wear the comfortable one yeah this one is more comfortable way more it's really thinning on your ways yeah it does suck in right here but not uncomfortable I can feel that I much preferred this one over the high support ones just because the high support ones I feel like squish you out a lot and it's just a little bit alarmingly tight whereas these I like are a lot better and it really really pinpoints the waste and just like helping a little bit not like helping to the point where you're squishing yourself into a size you aren't okay we may have seen a little bit too much of mama maybe I'll be the first to say it may be testing the tape was a bad idea but I was curious about it I know that I wouldn't have been a very good contestant but anyways I honestly think my final thoughts on skims would probably be I truly believe that they like that Kim Kardashian was sick of lots of other companies making not exactly what she was looking for and I do think she probably wears her own brand and like honestly I think the quality is really really good and I just think that the price is pretty high so this would be more of a you've been fed up with other types and you just want to invest in like one good piece ok obably had only way I would give it the go it felt secure it felt like it was gonna hold together I didn't think that it was going to slip off by don't worry rip I don't think it ripped no and I think that yeah like I think it totally does when it was supposed to do hopefully that has been helpful for you guys if you want
