Trying Custom Tumblers First Time w/ @MoriahElizabeth

hey grains so many of you requested that I collaborate with Mariah Elizabeth in person so I figured I'd bring myself over here however something is missing you know what it is it's me who are you I am me and she is me I and me you are me Mimi's me for those of you who don't know this is Mariah Elizabeth a good friend of mine also an amazing connoisseur of YouTube oh tell us a little bit of your channel um yeah I have a channel on YouTube and I like to paint on things yeah that's like okay I like to do all things creative painting on things I have a very bright colorful cutesy style and um we like to have fun check her out links will be down below definitely give her a follow she is hilarious if you love me you're gonna love her more oh and then they're gonna break up my heart no we're gonna cry like Mariah no she much better now she have a creative side Jackie you are creative sure So today we're going to be doing something that neither of us have done we usually like no no you would like to stick to your comfort zone well okay sometimes I already with the neck thing we just started and she's already doing the neck thing sometimes I do Branch out but resin is something that I am particularly afraid of I have a um deep rooted fear of resin okay so she said the surprise it's present oh my bad it's in the title anyway we're alert right here because today we're going to be doing something for the first time ever it's so popular and viral on Tick Tock and it's called Tumblr turning are you familiar with Tumblr turning I know that it looks magical I know nothing else about it me neither and for those of you who don't know Tumblr slinging or Tumblr turning it's basically a resin craft where you take a tumbler and you add resin and then you add alcohol inks to make it as customizable to you as possible and so we have kids and are we scared why are you saying you're freaking me out what yeah no no we'll Replay that no I did not Hiccup and and no it does not but not only do I have a kit I brought one for you these kids have our favorite sentence ever which says includes everything you need oh my God look you're making me cry you get it I cry my face already hurts from laughing so the reason I picked up this kit is because it only costs 36.50 from Amazon and as someone who's a beginner at Tumblr turning I figured it's not expensive yeah that's decent for a new hobby yeah but the question is is it any good no I mean no no oh I love it but the best way to find out is to see what we get inside okay I'll see you oh do you not smell things not present oh well it's in containers I mean there are I smell glitter you do I mean on occasion and so you snort glitter no I wouldn't say that we get a set of Glitters or did it glitter it is architect you know what else I noticed in the back of the box I got you I got you hang up it's certified certified glitter I will never buy anything that's not it's not certified and it's not glitter is it even crafting no shirt certified glitter I don't want it what is these where'd you find these I don't have one oh yours are different colors so you may not recognize them I like your colors better you may not not that we can share you look so sad I felt like I was stealing from a child should break them up oh my gosh I keep a crying did you say brush no I did not I said gosh I didn't say garage rewind no oh my gosh oh my God what is this this is I don't know okay because I've never used them either but I'm assuming after you do your project it's going to dry okay it's like a little stand the cup drying rack okay right helps cup too dry okay got it done and then we have rods I assume for the cups more rods for cups if you like the longer rods with it photo runs it's all a matter of preference silicone yes so because this is going to be pretty but I just needed to oh okay this is what we're doing gotcha did you not feel the same urge to put I wanted to lick it okay similar um we also have some measuring cups which is going to be useful for the resin which means what do we get oh I'm being quizzed with resin yes let's find the resin okay um ooh resin oh you got it way faster I mean the Jeopardy music already started and should I go slow where is it where is it oh [Applause] here we go oh my gosh it's so wild seeing all your little Jackie isms live without the Jackie isn't yeah Jackie isms I like your head it's magic oh wow that's a big poo I like it I don't like the farting sound effect it can't smell it oh it actually smells like cupcakes yeah yeah the everyday thing and we have foamy things we have the little one and the big one again apparently vision goggles this little baggie oh with things in it popsicle sticks uh some tool of some sort I think these are gloves yes that's what this looks like oh yeah gloves oh you start pulling things up oh should I not okay we'll do it your way oh that's fine it's tiny it's the meat on the back and then we have exercise cups apparently that's what the actual posting said so I'm guessing these are like fake tumblers you can reuse over and over I don't well I wouldn't I wouldn't do that I would not oh tell me what to do this is big what is this Jackie this has a nice shape it's made for efficiency basically it will get the job done started with that [Music] right is it suspense or okay or what what are you accusing me nothing nothing I don't know what you're talking about then the neck is back she's doing it again did you know fun fact that when lizards feel threatened they Bop their neck really this doesn't look very good so we do have the machine Let's uncover oh okay this is really nice so we have the rotating machine that we're going to be able to do the tumbling on anything else in here we have some instructions which who needs most the shirtified shirtified foreign so we put together the machine it was super easy it was just basically string little and then just very gentle you don't want to where are you going right now where are you going get your mind's out of the gutter now the test of time is does it rotate oh it's gonna be hard to tell because there's nothing on it should we put something on it yeah which one is it you think it's this one or that one it's small you think small but you know what we have to do basically we have to figure it out figure it out figure it out figure it out oh I had it that is nuts that's some good manuviate okay let's stretch small because we're using these little tumblers not too big look we're dealing with rods and inserts yes it's not me and it's not me it's not me but it may be me me I feel like it's that Spider-Man Meep where they're just pointing okay shove that in there how deep should It Go not too deep pretty surfacy right what is that that is not what we have it's not what we have she's pink I don't have the pink boy I always disappoint I disappoint everybody in my life no no no okay shove that stuff deep oh that is good I don't have a shiny two hours later I'm gonna use the force oh thank you hi our butts touched how did you feel about it I felt much closer to you really that's when it confirms a friendship that's beautiful right how else you're right that really made it official it did all right so I think this is the moment where we're gonna know if it actually turns you're gonna get in deeper okay just until here oh you put that on first not and I'm frankly scared don't be a scared okay you can be maybe one scared but not many one scared one scared is okay I'm one scared one scared is excited too scared is terrified lucky for you the resin that actually comes in this kit says non-toxic and I lick it no do not no no not no no [Music] sensitive she's crying again Jackie we talked about this we did we did we did all right so the good thing is is that this is not a three to one ratio that's so good because when it's three to one ratio I do this [Music] all we need to do is do a one-to-one ratio so you're going to put basically the same amount of each okay I see yes so I won't let you do it I'm gonna do it you won't do it do I need gloves I have dragon skin but I highly recommend I have my own gloves look at you missed this it's made of maple syrup all right so we have the hardener which is that resin and then we have the resin the resin comes in two parts which is the main part risen and then the hardener resin so we're just gonna oops that's mine and we're gonna give you a cup so much things here I like that plank yeah that garbage throw was I really like that sound I did it for you very appreciate I don't have to cry now why did it sound like you were about to cry at the end my voice crack little mat and you're messy there's hair on it whose is that it looks like arm hair oh my God that's this is arm hair to you could be that bangs it's bangs yeah yeah so let's go ahead and I would say 40 of this one we might have to open it sharp pointy thing five hours later it actually doesn't matter what order you put your resin and for those of you who don't know resin is basically like a liquid when you put part A and A B together they become a kind of glassy plastic so it hardens about overnight how we doing with the 40. double check my work thank you probably shouldn't do that I have a little resume now we're gonna find out if it's really tough you know I was waiting for your dramatic death [Laughter] now you can put the resin is this time sensitive once I add this is it like rush time after that kind of okay I would say we have about 30 minutes okay so that's not panic time no but you must stir it properly because if it's not stirred you make others basically you just have to make sure you mix it properly otherwise when it hardens it'll be sticky it's like in Harry Potter Swish and flick swish Swish and flick so what you're doing is you're getting all the edges and the bottom part okay and trying to remove it from the popsicle stick so that part doesn't actually stay okay got it not mixed Swish and flick I would hold the container though okay you don't want that all over maybe I do fun fact if you drop resin do not use water why what happened it will get stickier you must use alcohol really yeah or acetone now you're making me nervous what if I I'm gonna spill this aren't I that's going to happen to me I hope your clothes are not something you're attached to I mean like not physically like I hope they are attached to you you want me to keep my clothes on right yeah okay I hope you don't have sentimental value is what I'm trying I just bought this shirt at Target that means that means they still have it in stock good Point way to see the bright side right because I'm salty hey Siri put a two minute timer two minutes starting now thank you this stuff stink it actually smells decent for resin it smells like like animal body odor if you could mix the smell of an animal animal body yeah and it's like a body odor I'm I've never just pick up a skunk or like dog and look up its armpit and go no I never have but if you imagine body odor and mixed with animal scent that's what it smells like body odor animal mix those scents together in your imagination your scent imagination that's what this smells like what do I do with this silicone put it on here yeah so the good thing is that in this kit they did add silicon mold well silicone thing so you can put all your resin things on there so we're going to divide into three parts one of them we're gonna put paint white paint the other one a different color of paint if you want okay and the other one okay let's start with one how much I don't know you're my teacher what do you mean you don't know this is the most what is the the mean it's an 80 right yes put 40 here and then 20 20. maybe 50. 50 50. are you sure look at that you're doing good okay is that equal is that 15 in there too it doesn't have to be equal don't be Mariah I'm really caught up on all of these this is the same person I'm the nerdy crafter channel it's good enough okay all right my hands are sticky do you want to change lovies glovies you can't just say gloves it has to be glovies love you so now we're going to put paint technically ideally from what I've seen Mica powder is the best to give it a little bit more of a shimmer but that's okay because I have my own Shimmer weapon which we will get to oh I know I know you like the glitter and the Shimmer I do but we won't get this first give it a squirt okay how much just so that it's opaque so give once don't look at me like that so you're gonna give it one good squirt a smidgen yeah and let's see how opaque it gets I know some people say don't put paint in resin however as long as your paint is not too liquidy you're fine and this is definitely thick oh yeah this is thick yeah you go in kind of fast there you're going to create bubbles oh okay slow it doesn't look opaque I would say it looks like something else I would say put a little bit more of the white okay a little bit more of the white yes my because you just put two dollops right I put one two did I put two you did it rewind I you're no okay a little bit more of the white yes oh you are wrong oh we're gonna see about that it's the creative base on here so we don't want it to be transparent because we're going to be putting this okay okay that's where all the colors coming from yes what are these for them Lita glitter glitter oh glitter glitter I forgot about the architect glitter that's why I'm here yeah um apparently the brains which is not good for neither of them all right so this part is super exciting because I've never done it you've never done it yes I've only watched videos so I am now an expert you want to click your button to start the rotation click the button to start the rotation very nice now this is what I've seen okay I'm gonna mimic it you take your cup pour a little bit of resin and then spread with your finger like like oh my gosh do it one more time okay a smidgen and then like like as it's rotating don't put too much I'm here for support some Spread spread oh no oh okay okay do you want me to stop this one you know what I'm gonna stop it okay what is the goal here just to evenly coat the whole thing yeah okay you know what I think it's not enough white it needs to be white white maybe we should paint it and then put the resin I'm [Laughter] oh my God I feel like we're obviously doing it wrong so for those of you want to say you're absolutely right we'll be right back after these messages okay so now that we're back because resin so she panicked when it was rotating so how about we put the resin without it rotating just yet okay can you do that I think can you do that for me but I use both of my pairs of gloves and now they're both Stitch oh I can use the other ones oh yes wait what okay thank you you're still not saying anything hello that is kind of ASMR is it um wait don't actually got goosebumps don't do that again that was good so now I I need to do this again the same thing with the white-ish stuff exactly poor little it's hot did it cure oh what the heck it's too goopy we have to start over what is happening so resin is a chemical and the chemical reaction is sped up because the room is warm oh it's so hot yeah you can Chuck it it's gonna cure it no no no no no no oh no no no a few moments later I mixed the fresh batch for you thank you you remember the instructions pour and spread with finger yes we just need a nice Coke okay yeah it is very nice spread there you go should I oh do you feel confident now okay yeah you feel confident let's click it go okay oh gosh it's okay just keep going yeah just Spread spread as it goes I feel like it needs to go slower you don't have that option it's so fast a privilege luckily there's a map I feel your stress right now this is so stressful and I'm somewhat enjoying it you don't have to use all of the resin I think I will because there are a lot of blank spots okay is that too thin it's like there I'm yeah thin is good thin is good thin is good as long as it's covered and don't forget to get the bottom oh yes never neglect the bottom okay ah what'd you do it's not a deal no big deal just poured a little too much right there when you go towards the top just make sure you do this way not back and forth Just one okay why so that it doesn't go inside the cup because you're supposed to still use this to drink foam oh [Music] we have alcohol I'm like getting excited and you're like so nervous okay no do you need help okay I don't know do I I think you could just get the Bold Spots I'm trying though and then they just become bald again oh does it not like the paint it's good I think it just needs to rotate a little bit okay okay so at this point you don't need to touch it anymore are you sure that's good do you want me to like touch it let me get my gloves on you don't like it Wham well this is a nice smoother this looks good I think we're just yeah it looks smooth and then it comes around and it's become I think we're missing patchy again I think that's because we're still missing some resin so I need more yeah okay it's so hard but it's gonna be rewarding oh she don't listen I think that's good that's getting a little bit better okay okay now we can start getting into the colors that you want how many can I do I would say go for four Max pink blue actually you can do whatever you want okay let's make the rules should I do the whole rainbow do it really do it okay just okay fine fine but if it's ugly it's your fault okay I take full ugliness response okay so now we're gonna go in your order okay just one drop one drop one drop and it swirls okay based on that I can see you shaking yeah okay okay and then when it comes back around then add another one drop at a time but I would say like put multiple drops yes okay okay yes okay definitely don't definitely don't what like give them space because it's gonna swirl so it doesn't get too much okay ah yes let them do their thing oh my gosh whoa what stuff is happening it is go to the next color my friend really why why I'm tired my friends if you need more we can add more but don't put don't overdo it remember when you said you don't know when to stop when you're doing your paintings yeah I'm here to make sure okay yes oh that looks good this is wild I'm so excited for this seeing you were scared I am still scared no no currently okay okay so now fill in or yeah now I would say where you need the other colors go ahead and start filling in okay but I also brought transparent glitter alcoholic oh okay so this one actually makes things sparkly yes that looks so good does it yeah and then when we get to the fun part which is the heat gun it's gonna make things kind of like warp a little bit okay it's very like splotchy okay yeah but don't worry like the shotgun is going to do its thing okay so when should I stop I would say no now's a good time after this trip okay now now stop are you sure yes we have this so this is basically the same thing that you've been doing except it's glittery whoa right look at that glitter bomb it's super glittery so use it wisely great feeling the knee to go overboard oh no with great power comes great responsibility use it wisely okay so now what okay so what we're gonna do according to what I've seen is people take this and go so not too continuous because it'll just Harden the resin and we don't want that okay we just want to move the float okay you got it no on full blast or should I start low oh like and do you have other glyther that you would rather use oh yeah I think that that's a lot of different glitter right you know since I did so many colors I feel like a neutral like the white oh okay you have to seem skeptical because you're choosing the one that's furthest at the bottom take everything out okay no other reason just you're making my work okay so nothing oh I like the glitter that's spreading in here right do you want to put more yes where'd it go oh of course you have it of course it's um oh you got to close it in the shake it yeah because because it has like that Glitter there it goes now oh I can glitter now okay this is really scary so now I'm putting the glitter resin on top Yeah so basically you're gonna spread it with the popsicle stick without actually touching it so kind of like a drizzle you know like a chocolate that makes sense to me put it in terms of chocolate drizzle and dessert okay okay we you got this we got this okay let's see what that looks like oh oh no no I've got a drizzle oh no I said drizzle no don't no no no no no no no no okay it's only the popsicle stick so just dip the popsicle stick oh and drizzle yes okay yes there you go it will just melt into there yeah okay see it's already spreading doing its thing that is so pretty you like I do it's a little glitter here but she's pouring it now she's she's like the whole cup more is resin okay so don't add any more in that spot right there what's bothering you because it's just something little spot talk to on teachers this is a little spot it needs glitter it needs resin there don't know blue but do those even go together they do yeah okay I would say orange and blue if I had to guess okay that just seems like the Jackie color scheme to me but no normally I would go with like evil the Earth is a lava kind of vibe I was like you know what I'm gonna do the little gentler and I want to do earthy Colors oh so like blue green brown for the Earth and then an accent with gold okay that sounds very relaxing like Zen yeah like if you go to a nice place and you just do this hmm Revitalize I feel good yeah I'm ready for it now okay let's start with the lighter color the blue I can't get over how perfect that layer of resin is I'm a little bitter about it oh no are you salty yes did I produce salt in the almighty sweetness of Mariah you're going you're just going I'm just free here you are I don't know if this is gonna work well or if it's even enough so I feel like I could use a little bit more blue here a little here did you do your bottom yes okay did you do it I would never forget about my bottom never neglect your bottom bottom negligence is bad I don't know what I'm doing oh oh is this is this too much you're the expert I'm not just confident in delightful oh sugar snaps oh this is wait what is this coffee brown brown we're going earthy it turns into like a very deep green when they mix oh I like that that is Gorge that overlap hyperventilating okay it's looking good I like it oh no what I wipe my eyebrows yeah right now do you need help no I have to live with the consequences of my own actions fine Fair it stays there okay now this is where it's gonna get scary the brown yeah the brown I'm not gonna I'm not gonna squeeze I'm not gonna holy sh why is the brown leaky is it yeah I don't know it exploded oh no can I have that's not nearly a lot I almost put like a quarter of the other side oh baby oh that's working right it's very dramatic it is it's very me and it's blending some of the colors into each other oh my gosh oh that's nice okay now I need the heat gun like that's so you have confidence in me yeah I have no doubts okay this is so far so good we're definitely getting like bold spots but I feel like yours Blended more right I think I just I put more color should I add more like a different green oh maybe this is the green I use okay so let's use a kiwi oh I like that's nice I like here who knows this is a bold spot oh it's happening it is oh I like it it does look very happy it does lifting yeah that's not me I'm not uplifting are you not though am I yes no yes you just don't want me to cry that is so weird if you stare at it for a really long time the Cup starts to like move look at that but now let's see if Mariah sabotaged me a second time that was not sabotaged that was by I was a mistake I've never opened these before I do forgive are you sure but I will not forget don't ever ask me to open here you're keeping those now this is what I wanted Mariah to do as a drizzle okay pick up like this and just do oh you see what I'm gonna see you chose the order you could have demoed this for me no yeah and then I would have known exactly what to do but and I'm sure so you did it in this order just so I could struggle more wow because I knew you would sabotage me I did not massage you you're not sabotaged I am let us know in the comment section below if you think this this was sabotage despite the fact that she opened all of her inks you're right I did I opened all of my inks and then I opened this one for you and I don't know why I cut it down so low but that was a mistake I didn't realize what was going to happen I forget have you ever done that before uh yes okay okay look at this I'm loving this are you okay you're not no I like it it's just that's the part that I was having trouble with on mine oh to get it together yeah yeah I'm not sure maybe what's happening is that our cup is leaning a little towards the bottom whereas I've seen machines that can lean upwards and downwards so I think this is the basic machine that doesn't give us that opportunity to get to the edge let me just try and get to the edge here see now I get it now I understand because I've seen you do it would you do this again I would do it again yeah I would love to see your second try I don't go judge you I may not may or may not do a reaction I I think this is a bold spot so we so here we are the next day oddly enough these were still doing turning doing the Turning they were still going they were going all night they are tired it was a long night of turning and turning turning and tossing and turning tossing and turning tossing all night so we had to stop the Turning but we did lightly do this and they were dry so now we're gonna try and remove them I know not normally before some of you yell at me but Jackie you need to put a second coat we know well I don't know I know but ain't nobody got time for that yeah Jackie needs to go back to Canada so unfortunately because you have to go back to Canada we can't do a second coat all right so you ready let's do yours first okay since we started with yours okay be Ginger Ginger Ginger Ginger that is pretty that is so you oh where'd it go I can't see it though that is so cute oh I'm rubbing up well no wait hang on I'm rubbing off on her [Laughter] what is that oh a lid okay yes thank you does it fit it does yes I love it the distribution of colors did change absolutely the red got very thin the blue and purple really took over but I don't hate it you did save the red though because what Mariah suggested is that we put like two popsicle sticks under the machine to kind of lift it yeah because it was leaning this way yeah and so all the colors were just drooping to the end yeah yeah I feel that way so that was really smart to save the red and give it a little bit more real estate I really like it too I I think I could do better the second time because now I know what to do but I'm happy with my first attempt I do have let me let me pull yeah get yours do you have a lid no oh nobody bringing me I'll get you a lid [Laughter] oh I should have known that that was gonna make you cry and when it comes to mine I actually don't see that many bald spots except for right here in the middle overall honestly this is so fun especially the underneath part I feel like just even doing a Galaxy theme Mariah yes yes I'm Ryan the Galaxy theme oh Galaxy theme would be amazing I think you could pull it off you thank you are the master of colors okay oh the queen I will take that title of Galaxy oh the empress whatever paintings Empress of paintings what did I do to deserve all these titles I'm not complaining I like it the queen of my heart oh this is Mariah's first time ever using epoxy resin how do you feel after seeing your finished product I feel very satisfied I love how glossy and smooth it is yeah it feels so nice yeah so when it comes to this kit what did you think do you think it's worth your cash or does it go in the trash you did so good I wouldn't say it goes in the trash do you know just for my reference because I don't know anything about the materials and how expensive they normally are how much would one of these normally cost the machine itself would have been around 35 okay and I paid 35.50 for the machine the resin the Glitters everything yeah considering that I think that this was a really amazing kit oh and especially to get started the only problem that I really had was just the angle of this yes because it didn't allow the resin to swirl and move naturally because it was impacted by the angle but considering the price I think that this was like a great starter kit for somebody who just wanted to like try this process out without spending a ton I agree with you a hundred percent I also forgot to say we did get hiccas oh yeah in addition to all of that I did so the value of this is definitely yeah worth your cash remember to check out Mariah's video because we did something on her Channel and um the shirt will give you a hint oh I I am the darkness right with rainbow with rainbows yeah I kind of like colors but I like creatures of Darkness the colorful but colorful so definitely check out Mariah thank you so much Mariah for having me over yeah of course this was chaotic it was but it was fun thank you for teaching me about resin yeah I've been avoiding it for so long because it freaks me out but this really helped I saw when you did my kit last time you avoided you're like me it scares me okay but I do feel a
