okay all right and i'll show you guys later how to become an all-star member first things first vinyl shield okay the vinyl shield material what is this used for vinyl shield vinyl shield is used for laminate i mean think of it like a laminate but it's a much better material than a basic laminate okay it'll make it dishwasher safe it has a uv protectant on it to help it last longer it's going to keep it from scratching so that's what vinyl shield is it shields the material okay so think of it that way now the other material that a lot of you have grown to know for the last shoot i don't even know eight nine years is bling anything material so bling anything is what we've always used always use and believe me bling a lot of people are like is bling anything going away not at all not at all bling anything is still a super super unique material but the only time you'll necessarily have to use bling anything is when you're making a full rhinestone decal makes sense so these rhinestone decals are for bling anything now htv anything is when you're doing heat transfer vinyl so you can still do heat transfer vinyl to your bling anything okay and it'll still work great okay just like it always has all right what so a lot of you say why htv anything though what's the benefit of this number one we were able to produce it differently so we have different and you can see kind of the different color of it as well there's different layers of material within here but less layers because we we didn't need to have that layer that holds those rhinestones on so we were able to produce it less expensive well because we could produce it less expensive it's a dollar less per foot than the bling anything okay so going forward what i would recommend that you guys do any now a lot of people are saying okay well i want to do these rhinestone cups that you're doing okay so i want to do something like these these you can do with either one of them bling anything or htv anything what would you want to do it with now that we have both you would want to do it with htv or anything because your cost would be less right but you would charge your customer the same amount makes sense awesome mom's crafting kim castleberry appreciate your support all-star member so you can use either of them but going forward be and why can i use htv anything on these the reason why i can is i'm not pressing the stones directly to the htv anything i'm pressing the stones directly to the glitter heat transfer vinyl so either way whether it's bling anything or htv anything the stones are still just get being pressed to the glitter heat transfer vinyl does that make sense freaking sweet right so um some places peggy they do tax as well and it's certain states in canada and so for the youtube membership some some of you may see 24.99 or some people see 23.99 that's all a youtube thing with taxes all right so that's those again you can use htv anything now a lot of you are still asking okay what are the big benefits of htv anything okay obviously less expensive is nice right no matter what that saves you money sell it for the same amount you make more money better margins okay number two is the way that we're able to make the material it's not going to melt kind of like you get sometimes with the bling anything the bling anything has to melt a little bit because it melts those stones in and it holds those stones better because we're able to take that that layer out for the htv anything it doesn't melt and it stays really clear so i know a lot of you a lot of you have done a lot of different glitter heat transfer vinyls right and i'll give you examples oh this one's super sweet right here i'm liking this one too so glitter heat transfer vinyl onto a tumbler okay i did a contour cut with the htv anything pressed the white glitter then press the black glitter then press the gl green glitter sweet right and now that's dishwasher safe with glitter heat transfer vinyl alright now this one i freaking love what do you guys think of that i just made it today tone on tone it's like a matte black water um water cup mug i got this at walmart i got the actual tumbler at walmart and then that matte black what that is that's actually our trw gun metal blast reflect it's a reflective heat transfer vinyl okay so freaking awesome i'm gonna make something like this for one of you guys tonight and i'm gonna give it away but i'm gonna make it even better than this the tone on tone in my opinion freaking sweet right sweet okay then i also have this one where it's a glitter heat transfer vinyl glitter heat transfer vinyl on the htv anything again yes it's re it's the trw blast reflect so let me flip um let me see if i can do this instagram i'm going to try it with you guys hold on instagram let me flip you guys around and let me see if it allows me to give me a second um i don't know if instagram allows you to put on it doesn't instagram i'm trying to put on my flash around with some stuff and just testing some things this is freaking absolutely amazing like this by far amazed the hell out of me that this worked i had no intention of this even working i showed this on saturday do you guys know what this is right here that i'm holding up no you won't put vinyl shield over those anything that you attach to bling anything or htv anything is already going to be dishwasher safe how about it this is a freaking screen print transfer a screen print transfer on htv anything like that's just stupid like it's actually a screen print ink that i turned into a decal that's pretty crazy isn't it so and i just tried that just to try it just to see if it could work so what i'm going to try tonight is probably the most difficult thing you can do i love i love doing things that i think might not work just in case so what i'm going to try to do tonight is i'm going to try to do all of this with the qriket easy press it's much easier much easier with a nice heat press but a lot of you how many of you here just i want to show a hands give me an idea how many of you here let me know what heat press you have peggy ellis appreciate your support all-star remember i'm going to answer a question real quick what heat press do you have i got my milkshake because i'm sure a lot of you here may have there we go easy press right there easy press amazon press easy press easy so a lot of you yes cricket clam shell wow holy cow a ton of easy presses okay that's awesome so i'm gonna try all of this stuff tonight on the easy press because the easy press is by far the most difficult press to get a a good pressure a good heat on a consistent pressure and heat and everything right so i figure why not try the most difficult thing to see if we can make it work so what i'm actually and then i'm going to try the most difficult thing to press i am going to actually try to press i'm going to try and press like i'll do a test one in case someone and then i'll do another one and i'll make one for somebody but i'm going to try and press regular easyweed like super thin easyweed heat transfer vinyl to htv anything and put it onto a tumbler and i'm going to do a tone on tone look so thinking about this there's a lot of times where you would say well why would you use htv anything if you're just gonna use a standard easyweed i mean obviously it makes sense with glitter because this glitter glitter heat transfer vinyl has that texture and looks so much better than glitter sine vinyl everybody agree with me on that glitter sine vinyl doesn't look nearly as good as this right not even close okay so a lot of you might say well why would you do that why well here's where where and why i might do something like this okay i always like to explain how you could actually use it how would be feasible for you so let's just say you're making some shirts and the shirts you're making are kind of a light purple like this and you don't have a light purple sign vinyl okay but you only want to make one mug everybody with me so you only want to make one bug you don't want to have to go find a website that has a light purple sign vinyl and try to do like a tone on tone look that you think is going to look good what if you could actually use the exact same heat transfer vinyl that you're using for the shirts that they're making so you're making shirts for them with and i'm going to pick out what our best hold on let me get the cup i'm going to try to pick out the best color i can find as close as i can to this to give a tone on tone look boom look at that so this is easyweed right here right so with this easyweed here now instead of me having to order one foot of sine vinyl to make a cup you can't make money on that but you already have the easyweed and you'll probably already have the htv anything let's see if we can make this thing work with the sweet looking tone on tone look like this and then your colors are going to be the exact as what the shirt is so here's what i got to do i'm going to bring instagram i'm going to bring you guys over here so you guys can see my screen hold on a second all right and just to let you does anybody notice did anybody notice anything about this font right here anybody notice anything about that that is a brand new font that we just listed on the website it's called the superscript nine so that code so instagram has it so i'm going to use this font right here and i'll show you how i made this design okay so what i'm going to do i'm just going to open it up here first because i'm going to cut the same one but i need to bring this in and show you it so i'm going to come over here no it's not the flutter it is not it's a new one so check it out i'm gonna go m-a-d-i and this is the superscript nine here's what's cool about superscripts you look at this and you're like well that's not the same as the font you have on that cup right that's not the same check this out highlight the m click the down arrow and i want to use this m nah this m yeah i'm going to use that m what d do i want to use i like this d right here and then what i do i want to use i'm going to use yeah i like this eye boom there we go and there it is now i already i'm using coreldraw on the trw design wizard for this one but you can use these fonts so basically every single letter every single letter has probably three different variations of the letter okay well what it also has and let me show you here is if i hit the explanation point you'll see it's going to give me a tail here if i do the at sign there's a different tail the number sign well the one that i used just to let you know is this one right here i used the asterisk sign okay and then with the asterisk sign what i did is i just flipped it move that up to there and now i have this custom name right here that's pretty sweet isn't it and let's can someone give me a price on this font with the 65 percent off 20 it's 10 off tonight plus 65 off of that price what do you think can someone give me a price on that where are you at alan eric so here's what i need to do now and i'll show you how i do it real quick so as you know it's a script font right if i want to i could tighten it up a little bit and i can just hit the arrows in a little bit there okay or i could bring it back wherever i want 8.75 for the font that's pretty good pretty good right so i can break it apart i can move these over here and then i'm going to highlight it all and i'm going to weld it together okay now that it's welded if i want to do my my htv anything my contour around it a lot of you qriket users you know how difficult it is right you got to go into inkscape you got to do all these steps i made a video on it right check this out and a lot of you have even seen the video bobby did of actually doing it in design space it was like a 15 minute process right and that's how you have to do it in the wizard i would do this i will come over here i'm over here on the bottom right side i'm going to do a magic boundary and create a contour so when i click on that i'm done that's my htv anything that goes around it that's it i'm done with one click of a button if i needed it to be a little bit thicker no problem highlight it let's say i wanted a .09 magic boundary i'm done if i wanted a two color design i could say you know what i want this to be a glitter check this out this is going to be cool you guys are going to like this i want this to be um let's say a black glitter and a white glitter or actually let's do yeah let's do white glitter take my design i'm going to make it about 2 inches wide 2.1 inches wide watch this i'm going to rotate it 90 degrees i'm going to come over to my mock-ups and i'm going to click on my tumbler and there it is on my tumbler with the glitter heat transfer vinyl done that's pretty sweet isn't it um we made a video on be sing we made a video for silhouette as well okay so i'm going back to page one and then once i'm ready to cut this design just to let you know we got joy strangeway appreciate your support all-star member take advantage of that special code so once i'm ready to cut this design check it out here's what i would do i would just highlight my design i would go to templates and i would do vinyl over cut and there's my color separations already mirrored with a weed box around it okay so i'm going to cut this one only because i already have it set up over here so this layer right here is going to be my htv anything and then this layer here is going to be my easyweed okay so i need to do easyweed obviously i need to mirror it right so there's my easyweed mirrored right here let me move that over here and let's go ahead and cut that first so i'm going to bring you guys over here instagram give me a second here oh sorry instagram spun you around there all right instagram i'm gonna put you at the vinyl cutter right here and i'm not going to be able to see your questions instagram but i'm here with you and then youtube let me get your questions so i can see him over here let me switch you over to the production view as well all right and actually i wonder if vinyl shield all right so this is my vinyl shield here i'm going to feed this in through here and i'm going to cut i'll cut two of them just because i know i'll use these for samples later as well good to go there and i'm going to cut this probably at a force of about 18. all right so i need to cut my outside layer which is this layer here for this part of the design so i'm going to go here let me go and do a vinyl overcut and i know instagram you guys can't see it right now you can't see my screen right now but i'll be right back over there i'm just setting up the cut real quick okay so let's go current page and final overcut and here is my vinyl mozwad appreciate your support thank you for becoming an all-star member and cut plot cm4 and force i said i'm going to do a force of 18 speed of 50 and actually let's cut two of these so i'm gonna go copies uh two and let's go send here now the way that the htv anything comes it does not have the protective cover sheet on it okay so it comes ready to cut and you're gonna cut the shiny side no you can't put you cannot put um htv or you can't put vinyl shield over you can't put vinyl shield over glitter because of the texture of the glitter it won't stay alright that's good there i'm gonna hit one bring it out a little bit i'm going to trim this off and let's find the rest of my cut there and i'm going to save this because htv anything i can use scraps for everything right let's roll that back and now i'm going to grab can someone help me with my color here is this is it maybe lilac if someone can look up bobby are you sure will you look up easyweed on what color this is please i think it might be lilac but i'm not 100 sure and i know a lot of you guys are going to be asking because it's a perfect match for those strata cups [Music] all right that looks good there now i'm only going to use a force of about 13 on this is it lavender or live it is lilac oh awesome look at me all right i'm gonna go launch cut plot city cm4 we're gonna do two cuts again i need to make sure to change my force i'm going down to a force of 13 and send i'm going to turn on my heat press you guys forgot to tell me you're supposed to tell me when i need to turn on the heat press you guys know the rule is it lavender now i'm going to bring you guys over here as soon as we get it um all of the cups yes i have on the products we love on the website so on the main page of the website scroll halfway down you'll see products we love and i i made a whole new category for tumblers for templates i think if this works [Music] like i said it's going to be a little more difficult with the easy press it's going to be a little more difficult with the easy press but i like the challenge all right let me get you guys there and guys bringing you guys underneath everybody all right youtube youtube looking good there let's do this all right i need a pick tool here and first thing i'm going to weed here this is the htv anything okay so when weeding this [Music] i love how easy this material is to weave that was basically one pole right there and look at that now i'm just going to get my inside areas here that looks good let's go inside of my a inside of the d and we're good to go now let's go ahead and weed the easyweed it does yeah the vinyl shield weave is really easy too doesn't it and i'll tell you what like a while ago i found and all of the different testing of the materials that we were making i found some that worked and did what we needed but they were a pain in the butt to weed and it just didn't work for me and that's why it took longer than i had hoped to get this material released and then we finally found the magic formula all right let's get that there this here all right good to go so i'm going to trim this off and trim this off and we're going to try this out see what happens now i it's amazing how quickly that heat press heated up too isn't it freaking love that all right so let me bring you guys over here good to go good to go youtube you can see pretty good and i am going to use my little foam board or pressing mat that i use all the time it's just a little foam board and drop this down i'm grabbing my easyweed it doesn't really matter as far as trimming the edge on this as much as it did with bling anything it's a little bit more difficult the htv anything's actually a little simpler so all i'm doing now is i'm looking at it and just kind of eyeballing because you can move it around as much as you want you don't necessarily have to commit to it once i feel like it's on there straight i'll press it down so i'm not sure if you guys can see in the camera here can you guys see the bling anything danielle murray appreciate your support all-star member can you guys see the htv anything at all right so everything looks lined up good to me now i am at 300 degrees okay 300 degrees and i'm gonna press this down for about six seconds now what i'm gonna do is i'm just gonna let this cool okay no parchment paper not for this because the easyweed doesn't have a real stickiness to it so the key when you're using the thinner materials make sure it cools all the way down okay make sure it cools all the way down now i'm going to show you two new tricks that are freaking awesome so number one when i go to pull this up it might try and i want it to but it's not oh look see how it's stronger than the um my carrier sheet is stronger than the adhesive sticking to this backing danielle all-star appreciate your support so watch this trick this is awesome you can how many of you guys and i know a lot of you have you have sein vinyl that when you peel it up the sine vinyl kind of stays on the backing and doesn't attach to the carrier this is a trick that works for all of that stuff so check it out i want the purple to stay behind right so what i'm gonna do and hopefully you guys can see it pretty good here is i'm gonna start to peel up my clear carrier and what i do is i just roll it can you see what i'm doing i'm kind of rolling it on my squeegee to get it off and there we go so if you because technically what's happening when you do that is your squeegee think about it think of the sense of it your squeegee is holding that other material down as you're rolling off the top it's freaking amazing so if you ever have vinyl that's doing that just roll it like that okay so now what i need to do is next step we are in the process of getting and i'm going to use this in a little bit of getting a super high tack application tape okay a super high tack application tape we currently do not have this on the website right now we have a high tack application tape so with this material i should be able to get away with just the high tech so what i'm going to do i'm going to go here and i'm going to use that same trick okay the reason why you'll need the super high tack is because when you use the glitter you need it to really stick to it because i want this to be like a decal right because what i can't have happen is i can't send this to a customer because the m's its own this is its own the avi is its own and the dot is its own tabitha appreciate your support all-star member so here's what i'm going to do again i'm going to do that exact same method hold this roll this back and my sticker ready to go freaking sweet right all right let's do this so i'm gonna drop that there let me come over and grab my tumbler here i'm gonna throw it on the opposite side of this one tumbler here okay and if you guys haven't seen uh we hit just a regular um like sign vinyl it gives kind of a 3d feel to it so it it almost it almost feels kind of like a brick just because it's sitting on top of the htv anything and then it's obviously the easyweed but man i think it looks sweet and then like like i said the little gloss look around it just kind of makes it pop a little bit more doesn't it can you guys let me know can you guys see like the gloss look around it on instagram and youtube can you guys see that i actually really like that but isn't that so much better than having to [Music] cut around it with a pair of scissors right all right no i would not have to put vinyl shield on top of this anytime you attach it to bling anything or htv anything you don't need the vinyl shield on top of it correct all right that's good to go there next thing we got we are going to i think this is gonna be sweet okay i'm going to do i'm gonna make a cup for one of you guys okay i'm gonna make a cup for one of you guys and what i'm gonna do is i'm going to do this here this is one of the skinny strata tumblers okay i'm going to do a custom name for you and what i think would look awesome because i haven't tried this yet so i'm going to pick the color for you but yes it is still dishwasher safe i am going to i'm going to pick a name of one of you guys okay i'm going to use a black glitter on this black mug and then i'm going to show you how you can accent it with rhinestones just something completely different that i guarantee you guys aren't thinking about right now okay but just a way to charge a lot more for the tumbler okay so what i need you guys to do i need you guys to start throwing me some names and i'm just going to randomly pick one i got to come over here to see and to finish off the milkshake so the name now you start commenting right now on how you think i'm going to accent this with rhinestones i want to see what you guys are thinking okay as we're making this design so first thing i need to do is i need to find out our sizing on this cup here and i don't know where huh okay well when you don't have it you obviously you just use this that's the whole reason why i put it on the squeegee right i see around the name i see offset i see an outline okay around the name outline the name shadow effect okay you guys are gonna be you guys are gonna you guys are gonna like this all right so i'm gonna go about two inches wide i got plenty of room six inches to work with so i would say two to two and a half inches for the name so i'm going to bring you guys back over here instagram and bring you guys back over as well to the software over here youtube let me flip you guys back around and let's do this so laura let's see which one looks better let's see what the new font's looking like with the name laura we're going to go l-a-u-r-a and again i can use all different letters oh i kind of like that okay let's see what different l's i have i got this cell well i kind of like that one i don't like that one as much for this okay and then what do i got for ours now i like more the script er good good good and then a i kind of like the rounded a a little bit better yeah let's stick with that one okay what do you think there oh this is gonna look sweet with the black on black yes i agree you guys like this one better or it was this original one all right let's do it let's do it um yeah you could actually do that someone just asked can you combine two different fonts 100 you could so if i wanted to i could come over to let's say i wanted to use the flutter so if i grab the a kind of a medium pressure good to go with that so again with this i'm gonna let this cool down a little bit and when i pull this off okay same thing just be careful when you're pulling it off and out instagram and now this is where i'm going to show you guys my regular tape here okay laura's actually three different stickers all right but our high-tech app tape isn't going to be able to pull up this glitter because of the texture this is what we will be getting on the website here in the near future and probably about a one to two weeks this is our super high tack application tape so why is it super because it's super sticky now here's the thing you need to know about this though this super high tack tape is super sticky so what that means if you tried to use this app tape with a regular sine vinyl it's going to stick to that sine vinyl so much that the sine vinyl won't release to the window when you put it on does that make sense to everybody so what i'm yeah the galaxy is actually multi-colored yes so what we will be doing is when we get all of these different app tapes in i will make a chart and i'll say hey this app tape is to be used for this this and this this app tape is to be used for this this and this and so on okay so let's go here and i'm going to drop this down here squeegee over and now again i am going to use my technique to roll this off and boom oh that was so freaking awesome any of you guys that have tried it before with a just regular app tape i'm telling you it doesn't work if it if you can get it to work more power to you it's it's not easy okay so now what we're going to do is we're going to drop this do do we want to start the name from the bottom up or the top down what do you guys think bottom up or 500 likes baby five mini pack a bling sheet so bling sheet i'm going to accent just just the top lid right there just around the top of the lid right there so we got black stones with black glitter with the matte black cup oh yeah this is going to look so sweet so everybody says how do you do that you want to see how you do it this is how you do it you take off the lid okay did you care awesome we got to find out how many rows it's going to use so looking at this i'm gonna say it's gonna use one two here i'm gonna roll it this way there we go one two three four five six seven eight rows okay so three six eight rows and start cutting and that's it so i'm just going to cut straight down now because the stones are all there already all i have to do with my scissors is cut right down between the stones because the stones kind of keep the scissors in a straight line and i'm just going to cut the whole strip because now i have another row ready to start if i do another one this is going to look so good this is going to look so good all right so now what i need to do is just figure out how much i need on it so what i like to do is just actually put it together so i'm going to go here i'm going to commit to that and then i'm just slowly releasing the liner back behind it all right so let's get it on there perfect that's on there and let's start putting this on and as i go i just kind of release more of the liner back behind what i don't want is i don't want it hanging off the top okay because that's what's over time that's what could get water or something in it right so i'm just making sure so if anything you would want to have a little bit not as much or not as many rows of stones just to make sure it's not hanging over the edge it's going to look so good i've i'm telling you guys i have never done this an actual cup exactly like this before and i've never blinged out the top of this thing i just saw that it was even so i figured it would work looks like it ends right there let's go ahead and cut that all the way to the edge beautiful and then we are just going to attach that there [Music] yes these bling anything sheets are dishwasher safe oh yes you can't even see the seam oh at how much better look how awesome it makes this look right this this might be one of my favorite cups this might be one of my favorite cups that i've done in a live like this you see what's going there and then inside the a i'm going to keep that and see if it does weed we'll see i'm not sure if it will or not and then what i need to do is i need to do my next layer so i'm just going to turn that pink for right now and my next layer is going to be obviously my htv anything so this one i'm going to do at a .04 and boundary and that's my htv anything coming around it okay and i kind of i want that p knocked out so i'm going to do a contour on that as well and i think i might be able to get away with the .03 yeah let's try it let's do that okay so those are my three layers now what i'm of the cutter i normally use the graphtec ce 6000 or 7060 which is the full 24 inch version with the stand and we have both of them on the site um i do need to heat up the press but what was the time eric three minutes is what it takes to heat up the press so i don't want it to get too hot in here so i'm gonna wait but thank you for reminding me all right let's move on down let's get trash can didn't i do that sooner i mean it is ridiculous the difference now remember if you're just doing i'm trying to see because i forget what cuts were in this if you're just doing this for fun and for crafting you don't need to go buy a 1200 a 1600 vinyl cutter right you're perfectly fine with your cricut and your cameo already heated up i love it but if you're doing this for a business you're going to want to get to the point where you have a graphtec because it's going to save you so much freaking time and cutting plus the material that you would waste on some of your other the crickets or the cameos just because they don't cut right or certain materials don't cut as good you would be amazed at how much money you'll save over time all right i think that's all of it i'm just making sure there's no inside area oh there is a little inside area there see all those little inside areas that were a little bit difficult to get to i think i got them all though and i probably should have hopefully not but just depending on how quickly this first batch sells out okay which it normally sells out pretty quickly especially because it's a dollar less expensive than the bling anything this cup as far as the rhinestone part of it i don't i got four dollars let's call it 4.50 in the tumbler htv anything and the two colors of glitter i would say we got maybe i would be surprised if it were a dollar in material with all three so let's call it five dollars and fifty cents and then the rhinestones big sheet how many did i say we could make like 16 of them a big sheet so you got probably a dollar in the wrap of rhinestones around it i would say so you got maybe six dollars and fifty cents in cost accenting this with stones and everything i would sell i would sell the single color one single color one customized with no stones well actually i know what i would sell it for what would you guys sell just a custom name in glitter with htv anything if your blank cup was four dollars and fifty cents i know what my prices are you guys tell me what you would sell it for just one color don't think about the stones yet don't think about the two colors yet one color customized see 15 i see 25 i see 45 i see 15 i see 30. okay good so we're all over the place and it also really depends on your location as well so minimum i'm talking bare minimum you better be selling this for at least fifteen dollars that is super bare minimum for just this because again with just this htv anything in one color of glitter i'm gonna say you got let's call it 75 cents in material cost 450 and cup cost so you got five uh 525 in cost but your labor cost okay you got to get the material out you got to cut it you got to weave it you got to press it minimum of 15. me personally i would be 20. okay 20 for one color glitter if you just put regular sign vinyl on it maybe i just threw and let me show you guys let me see if i have one here maybe if i just threw one color of little color spark on it like that like this here color spark on it but on this one maybe i might be 15 bucks because i don't need to heat press it i don't need to layer it i don't need to use two materials right let me switch screens makes sense so 15 for just the color spark or regular vinyl 20 for the glitter okay i would go for a second color of glitter i'd probably be around 22.50 accenting it with rhinestones i would be at at least a 30 cup now just to add all the rhinestones but again why this would be easy to sell to people and press appreciate you thank you why this would be easy to sell to people is because if they don't want to spend a lot of money hey i got a 15 version for you oh you want a second color okay i got a 20 version for you oh you want to add rhinestones okay i got a 30 version for you so now see what i mean now you're you're putting it off to the customer to decide okay if you want rhinestones you're going to pay more if you want glitter you're going to pay a little bit more if you want just regular signed vinyl then you can get the cheaper one that you want 30 bucks isn't bad at all heck no 30 bucks is super inexpensive honestly for something customized like this customized remember with rhinestones okay jj yes much better than studying for the nursing boards but make sure you study so you don't fail um we don't have a full okay so i also want to show you guys this because i tested it out earlier i was hoping that these tumblers were perfectly the same size but they actually do kind of come in a little bit so you cannot just wrap the rhinestone sheet around it it doesn't line up right i was trying it before the live to see if it could work because i just got these cups in today the tumbler's in today but it is even though it's not a lot it tapers down just a little bit and just enough for it not to line up so people complain about 35 for full epoxy then don't sell to them i'm dead serious i'm dead serious i talk about this all the time if if somebody is not going to pay the price that you need to sell your materials for to make money then fire them as a customer i'm dead serious you can fire customers it happens all the time okay i promise you i always used to fire customers so if the here's the issue and here's what you'll run into and i did this as well why why i'm able to say all of this stuff is because i've been where every one of you have been okay um i recommend the 24 inch graph text especially with the the special that's going on right now uh 150 150 rebate on the graph tech right now i'll show it to you as i'm talking about this it is right here 150 dollar rebate for the graphtec right now but fire customers i'm dead serious okay if if the customers a peta customer number one they're probably a peta customer or pain in the ass right you don't want to deal with it anyway by the time they complain about it they email you 14 times they want to change the design they want seven colors and they want it for three dollars and fifty cents right tell them to go somewhere else i'm serious because you will work your butt off to make no money you'll feel like you'll feel like your business is growing but you're actually when you do that you're actually hurting your business because what you're doing is you're gaining more customers right you're gaining more customers which is making you work more but you're not charging enough so you're working more to make no money and i'm telling you you'll have 100 hour weeks like regularly like i'm 100 hours minimum every week right now okay you're gonna have hundred hour weeks and there were plenty of times rochelle appreciate your support major league member but i'm telling you guys i ran into this and that's why i talk about it all the time i always thought i need customers i need customers i need customers and no you need to know way more important than that yes you have to have customers you have to have people to buy your product right but way more important than that is knowing your cost knowing your everybody always says what's my material cost screw your material cost what's your labor cost what's your overhead cost right that's where your cost is is your time involved the and fifty cents or whatever we said for this you probably have more than five dollars and fifty cents in labor cost so those are the things you have if you don't know your numbers you will i i'm a thousand percent sure if you don't know your numbers if you don't know your labor cost and your material cost you do not have a chance of being successful if you're trying to run a business you don't seriously because you are going to be feeling like you're going to look at it and you're going to say man i had 5 000 in sales this month but when you go back and look at that five thousand dollars in sales i mean think about it if you have employees too okay because remember you're an employee you need to make money so just think about that stuff when you're looking into a business and i whoever and i forget who it was customers complain at 35 for an epoxy tumbler those require work right i've personally never made one but i've seen plenty of videos and i've seen plenty of people make them they take time give me give me some advice here you guys you guys know more about this than i do honestly how long would it take you to make a custom epoxy tumbler for me with my custom um with my son's baseball team name and his number on it and i want it three colors with glitter how long would that take you to make honestly and i'm sure the cup isn't that cheap either right give me an idea um becky the adhesive isn't strong enough are you guys freaking serious so what is it just the curing time is like two to three days i see some of you saying one week are you me but how much okay let me put it this way how much time do you have involved in it not the because the curing time it's doing that on its own right it's doing that on his own how much time physical time do you have into it let me know how much physical time other than it just spinning over here and doing it stuff what's your physical time working on that spec that one cup let me know other than the curing time and everything the cure is the issue i see i see that what would you guess holy crap are you serious i see three to four layers of epoxy time two and a half hours two hours four hours three hours three to four hours four hours two hours holy crap i uh six hours eight hours five out wow i honestly had no clue i know one thing i will never be doing geez just to give you guys an idea okay something like this here took me six and a half hours okay six and a half hours to do this i charge a hundred dollars an hour 100 an hour so when i do a pair of and we've done we've actually done a lot of these when i ham place when i hand place flatback rhinestones like these on shoes each nike swoosh takes me about 15 minutes so a full pair of nike shoes customer brings me the shoes a full pair of shoes takes about an hour 100 that includes the stones as well but there's not a ton of stones involved in that 100 an hour if you guys are charging 40 or they're complaining about 35 and it's taking you give me a price and again i'm learning from you guys with this but i love this i think this will really help you guys as well how much is the cup because i'm sure obviously the glitter and the epoxy that's probably not that's probably next to nothing right but how much is the actual tumbler give me the blank price of your tumbler not not just blank that you're buying them in bulk i see seven to ten dollars ranging seven nine seven eight ten seven okay so and then honestly give me your price on the epoxy and the glitters and stuff maybe a dollar i don't know i'm completely guessing i'm assuming that stuff is very inexpensive right so i see the tumblers are anywhere from six to ten dollars and i'm seeing most of you saying about two to three dollars to four dollars really the epoxy is pretty expensive huh damn holy cow jenga appreciate your pandas you're awesome damn okay so on average what i'm taking back from this on average let's say the tumbler is eight bucks the epoxy and glitter everything is let's say two bucks let's just keep it easy and say you got ten dollars in cost okay let's keep it easy and say you got ten dollars in cost you got a pretty good price on the tumbler but then you have vinyl and stuff right but let's just say 10 bucks okay let's just say 10 bucks if it takes you three hours to make that thing and you're only charging thirty dollars right that means technically you're only making twenty dollars on that tumbler i'm not not taking out your actual labor cost and everything i mean that's that's not worth it i mean you're you're you're below minimum wage you see where i'm going with this it's not it's not at all right so if you have three and technically i bet you probably have more than three hours in time with everything involved because here's the thing is when you talk about time okay here's what most people think when they say time okay most people think when it comes to time the time is you're you're welcome jenga thank you um most people think of the time of okay i got all my stuff ready and let's start doing this tumbler right and then decorating boom roll it boom pour the epoxy on it and now i met natalie appreciate the sun cream and now i'm at three hours what most people don't think about okay what people don't think about is that customer might have called you right and said hey do you make custom tumblers yes i do can you send me some examples through email yes i can and then they look at it then they email you back then you email them back tell me if i'm not right with this i'm pretty sure i am right then you email them back then then you got to create the design right hopefully you're charging to set up a design fee or else you're really making nothing but then you've got to create the design then they need to fix that design right and then they change something in the design right and then guess what happens then they call with some more questions every time you are on the phone or emailing that person that is money here's the way here's the way i always like to think of it take yourself take yourself out of the equation okay take yourself out of the equation imagine i'm going to pick a random name um eric eric's right here so eric eric's an employee of mine okay eric's a pretty good employee eric's making 15 an hour down here doing some epoxy tumblers for me okay eric's making 15 an hour i'm working on other jobs everybody with me so eric's taking this phone call eric's emailing back and forth eric's creating this design eric's charging maybe we don't have a website yet so we got a call and process or we got to create a paypal invoice right that takes time okay i'm telling you right now eric is probably i'm going to say eric's doing it pretty quick eric's an hour and a half maybe an hour eric's an hour into eric's an hour into this customer and he just now collected payment for the 30 cup okay we got ten dollars in cost so we're already at 20 bucks think i'm paying eric 15 bucks an hour eric is an hour into this job before we've even thought about the cup yet before we've even started the cup yet so i've already paid eric 15 bucks you with me so now my cost of this cup is already 25 and i haven't even started the two to three hour process yet guess how much money i made on this cup i didn't make a damn penny i lost money and this this has nothing to do with anything bad about cups okay this has to do with heat transfer vinyl shirts this has to do with sign vinyl shirts it has to do with everything if you do not know your numbers and you don't and you don't char if a customer doesn't want to pay it you know what i used to say no problem at all you can go to walmart down the street and get whatever shirt you want and i would say no if you can't say no you will not be successful i'm telling you you have to price right and yes i know there's a billion people out there on ebay and etsy and they're selling disney designs and they're selling them for freaking three dollars or whatever the hell it is and you're like how do they do that and i know it sucks right it does and eventually they're going to realize they aren't making money eventually disney is going to shut them down and whatever it is so don't do that either obviously but if you want this to actually be a business if you want your business to grow you have to make money now if you're just doing it for fun if you're just a crafter and you enjoy crafting and you're fine with life fire away and have fun with it right but if you don't charge the right amount if you aren't making money you cannot grow and i went through that for a good man i would say a year year and a half of man my business is getting so big i'm growing i've got more customers i'm i got a crap ton of orders and you know what would start happening i would look in the bank account and at the end of the month i'd be like damn i killed it this month and i would have let's say two thousand dollars in my account in january and then february 1st i'd be like oh man this month was awesome i had ten thousand dollars in sales what do i have in my account now i got sixteen hundred dollars in my account why well of all of those things that i was saying right what's one thing i haven't even talked about yet what's one thing i haven't even talked about that's even more cost and what i would not recommend for anybody honestly yes what about overhead cost right overhead cost you got electricity you got internet you got phone you got if you're in a storefront location i had in the i on main street here in lakewood ranch i had a 1100 no 900 square foot 900 square foot storefront that was right around 3 500 a month stupid i had to make i had to do probably the way i was charging fifteen thousand dollars in sales just to profit that 3 500 to pay the mortgage to pay rent then you still had electricity then you still had employees then telling you right now me personally from experience what i would not recommend doing and i'm sure a lot of you are thinking about this and if you have questions let me know anytime during lives insurance yeah stephanie right is do not please if you're doing custom shirts and custom individual shirts and i'm sure some of you have run into this and some of you are already doing it don't go open a storefront don't go open a storefront with walk-in traffic i'm serious some of you have a dream okay natalie i appreciate you some of you have a dream on opening your own store am i not wrong okay if you have a storefront you just have to be smart with it okay i would recommend getting a storefront more of a warehouse instead of a storefront away from walk-in traffic and the reason why is you are just going to have people that just walk in all day long and all they're going to do is ask questions and then two hours half after having a conversation about your their oh i know your uncle and his sister and they went to elementary school together and they did this and boom boom boom next thing you know two hours later you haven't gotten any damn work done or your employee hasn't that you're paying 15 bucks an hour you just paid that employee 30 bucks to talk about their their sisters uncles grandmas who went to elementary school together right and then maybe maybe guess what they'll buy a 35 shirt from you it doesn't matter you already lost money so all of those things i always like like if you have a walk-in store front here's what you need you need shirts that are done or you need transfers that are done and you can say pick your shirt pick your transfer i'll press it you're done and it takes you five i had a five minute rule if i can't make it in five minutes or less didn't do it i'm serious if you actually run the numbers if you're making one shirt at a time fully customized you will not make money unless you're charging a hundred dollars a shirt i'm serious just be smart about it and because here's the thing that really killed me i was still fine with that storefront and the reason why i was still fine with it is because i had such a big online business at the time i was still getting enough orders to cover everything right i knew going into that storefront and all of my cost that even if i never sold one shirt in the storefront i could cover all my bills so i was still kind of smart about it going into it okay but here's the thing is i still had to make all of those online orders so in the storefront all day long we were making all of our online orders in production okay well the thing that sucks again about a storefront is now betty who's just out on a sunday stroll betty decides to walk into the store when i got 50 orders i need to get out and betty's like she's looking at all the rhinestone shirts around looking at all the vinyl around betty's like it says we make custom shirts over here it says pick your design we'll make a shirt for you it says it everywhere betty's like do you guys do here i'm like i don't know betty we sell auto parts what the hell you think we do here that's what i wanted to say but i never did i was like oh boy here we go so now i gotta explain to betty for the next hour what we do and then betty wants betty's like uh you know what this is pretty cool betty's like i'm gonna go get frank i'm gonna bring frank in here i'm gonna show frank what you do so betty's gonna go get her husband frank who's walking around in the other stores betty comes back in the store with frank now i got betty and frank guess what i gotta do i gotta re-explain everything frank's like hey betty what do they do here everything i'm telling you every day and i'm looking at it and i'm thinking to myself there is no damn way betty's buying a shirt betty is retired she's got nothing better to do she wants to talk to us which is fine man i love it betty but betty i got i got stuff to do i got all these orders to do and betty is just there on a sunday she's got nothing to do the whole day and betty just wants to chat it up and i don't want to chat it up betty so there you go that was a typical day oh and then betty yes and then betty 35 for a shirt that's a lot of money for a shirt what do you think frank can you um you know what happened is probably the worst thing that happened was when betty would buy a shirt for 35 and then i had to show betty the 62 different colors of rhinestones and rhine studs to choose from oh sh there's here comes another two hours so yeah there's a a life a day in my life at our storefront right there and nothing against betty's out there i don't know if we have any betties here but he was just the name i used but damn it betty all right so hopefully that helps some of you guys i don't mean i don't mean to ruin anybody's dreams of opening a storefront but i would much rather you see the reality of opening the storefront before you do it you better know all of your numbers you better know all of your sales you better know how you're going to make enough money to when you're working out of the home you don't have all of that cost right so you gotta assume hey i got an extra two thousand three thousand whatever that needs to go towards rent and everything else sherry says the same things happens at my store every day right sherry oh it's coming all-star i was actually working on it today so as you guys have as you guys have questions about that stuff of course ask me anytime but yes very funny but also like you said christina very funny but very serious as well right because i'm telling you i i honestly have a problem like i have a problem being in i can't be an ass i don't know so i'm not really good at it and the thing is is when betty's in there i can't just tell betty to get out like i i gotta be nice to betty i don't i don't know so betty holds and the problem is is when i'm nice then betty betty's like oh that guy's so nice i'm gonna go by and see him every sunday god darn it now i got betty coming every damn week so that part sucks joanne appreciate it have a good night it is easy to weed isn't it brando i see joe in the house what's up joe how you doing dude i know it's not funny at all when you can't make it and i'm telling you inside i would be so pissed because i'm like oh damn it betty i got 18 more orders to get out today i can tell you're not leaving for another freaking hour and a half what am i so what i would do is i would try to work and do stuff as i'm talking to betty like i can't go around and follow her around the store i'm doing stuff natalie appreciate it thank you for the bravos i'm over there i'm making stuff and i'm trying to half ignore her to see if she'll get the point but betty's just happy to talk right yes kelly that was amazing wasn't it cubby's no-hitter yesterday baby thank you lucy appreciate it you know what i've i've found that i mean over the past and i feel like honestly that's why everything i've done business-wise so far knock on wood has been successful i've made a crap ton of mistakes right i've lost a lot of money making mistakes but i've learned from my mistakes but what i've always found and i hope all of you take this and do this as well is if you aren't full of crap okay if you aren't just worried a hundred percent about how much you had in sales and and you're worried more about your customer base and helping them like i tried to do with you guys but even on the finished product side of it as well but on that side make sure you're charging the amount that you're worth right but i feel like if you're not full of crap if you're honest then even when you make mistakes people understand we make mistakes all the time right we make mistakes all the time and when we do we admit to the mistakes i have people that'll facebook message me all the time with different things hey matt they did this or this happened or this like with the vinyl shield when we first released it it was we fixed it you get you guys give us feedback and we're like oh man that's true it is it's doing this this this this and then we fix it and then something shipped wrong in your package or whatever we fix it and there's too many businesses out there that that won't accept the blame when they make a mistake mistakes is part of it you're going to make mistakes as well when you make a mistake just you might lose money on that on that job or on that order or whatever it is but you know what you lost money but you gained a customer okay is it better to to make the 15 on the shirt and lose the customer for life or is it better to lose 15 on the shirt and gain a customer for life i'll lose 15 every day to gain the trust of a customer right all day and like you're saying stephanie you have to and that that was probably one of my hardest parts is you have to have as your business grows a team that you trust as well because you guys see a lot of times i'm working from the house and i honestly have gotten to the point where i don't have any worries that the warehouse is still doing a kick-ass job and getting orders done and providing support in the call center and getting new things and that took a long time to get to but we have a pretty awesome team right now yes how did you know yeah we got goosebumps so that's the other thing is it's not just your customer base it's trusting your employees as well so when you get to the point where you have employees believe me you're going to get employees i promise you you will get employees that they'll work harder to not work than they will if they just did what they were supposed to do we've had plenty of them right they worked harder to do less work than if they just did their work you know what i'm saying but i feel like this is by far what we have right now is the best staff that i've ever had that we've ever had it's been awesome because i can tell everybody that i talk to in there they actually care and if you if they don't care and they're just there for a job then it's never going to work out when they care when they care when they help you instead of just bitching about it it's completely different and you guys can hopefully see that when you're talking to them on the phone or whatever it is oh i agree liz i agree oh man yes jewel yes bobby has been absolutely killing it she's been doing an amazing job because she's taking over for all of shawn's stuff that shawn was doing and i overwhelmed i'm sure and still like what's what i love is when also like if if bobby has employees when when they have a great opportunity like that i'm like that's awesome for them so shawn's always been great um natasha the new color spark colors will probably be coming they'll probably be on we actually just got the rest of them in so i'm hoping to get them up possibly tomorrow but probably wednesday would be my guest probably wednesday so 26 new colors yes and what's awesome what i love is kind of like how bobby's doing now how we always have someone that just kind of fills in that spot and takes over that role which bobby's doing an awesome job with right now so that's why you're starting to see bobby do more videos and different trainings and stuff as well because she's been with us for a year now so she's been learning it all and now obviously going into that role um to turn a vector file into full rhinestones oh man i'm going to be completely honest with you if you wanted to take a full run and this is what i would honestly do okay seriously i want to take a full logo and i'm trying to see if i have a good logo around here just as an example just say even though you're not allowed to i wanted to take this full dolphins logo and make it a full-size rhinestone shirt okay full size rhinestone shirt if i were to do that i would seriously outsource it and here's the reason why even in the wizard to do a full rhinestone logo design any any rhinestone software is going to be for me to make a full rhinestone design of this in the wizard building the software would probably take me oh shoot i would say at least two hours at least two hours for me to do it okay um would you recommend selling uh it really depends because that part's hard too because the margins are very small in materials so that part is difficult as well um so two hours i always looked at it as outsourcing that okay just for something crazy like that just for something crazy like that outsole and i mean we do it as well like you can submit a quote on our website but what the reason why i'm saying this has nothing to do with trying to get you to outsource it to us because honestly we even hate doing this because there's no money in it like you can't really make money in it because the labor cost is so much you know what i'm saying but outsourcing it so you now have two hours to post on tick tock post on instagram grow your social media create a youtube video go um gain customers here whatever so we do we do designs and full rhinestone designs for you and you can submit a quote there's a billion other companies that do as well but i would not get used to because if it's taken me two hours i guarantee you it's probably taking you guys three or four hours all right so if you look at it that way that's three or four hours that you now have to build your business instead of working on a single design uh is it better to do all the alphabet or um lily it depends if you're using a rhinestone fawn it's a lot easier um how do you ask trw dude to do a design if you go to designs and let me show you here if you go to designs and go to custom design request this is where you submit it so you say kind of what type of design it is and then so what this is right here this is basically just submitting the design so again like i always talk about it needs to make sense right we used to get back in the day probably 200 requests a day and we would have one employee that would go through those 200 requests and only 12 of them would actually want to design so they spent the entire day going through 200 requests because it was free to submit a request so now a standard request to submit it to make sure that the person serious about getting the design created is five dollars a priority one two to three days is eleven dollars and one business day design is 20 so and then there's the design actual cost on top of that makes sense um the full bling strata cups with the name would be difficult because the templates are you would have a lot of adjusting to do with the rhinestones i mean it's doable yeah you would just i mean to do a full name i'm going to say it would take because there's so much adjusting on stones every name is different [Applause] i would say at least a half hour to 45 minutes for each one because you would have to the template would change for every single name beautiful so we made some pretty sweet cup tumblers tonight i think htv anything and then the purple to the silver confetti to make a sticker to attach to the cup and i did a contour cut of the htv anything as well yep john parker what's up dude you got it jenga no problem um i already have the new font and tried it out awesome first time watching painted horse appreciate it appreciate it what's the grid app tape used for um it really so our regular gray gridded app tape is used for like regular vinyls okay it works really good on the color spark vinyls because it has a stronger adhesive um on the cat mini pack what about it the cat's mini pack that is what about it john um but we will be getting in eventually our super high tack app tape and that's the one that you can actually use for the heat transfer vinyl glitter because it's so strong it actually catches on to the texture of the glitter to make a decal out of it which is freaking awesome i've been searching forever for that um do you know off the top of your head i didn't hear um the cat's mini pack what about it john um i'm trying to go back up and see what your question was john i see something about the cat's mini pack because that's all i saw john let me know for the cat mom decals oh man john can you please shoot an email on that i'll have to get with paige because she designed those and bobby if we can get with paige tomorrow and see what font she was using for the cat mini on youtube as well that describes vinyl shield versus bling anything versus htv anything the machine behind me there is the graphtec ce6000 i agree yeah um daryl the question was when they were bringing in a vinyl overcut to cut studio it was messing up the file you can layer glitter heat transfer vinyl onto the htv anything to put to make into a sticker to put on a tumbler and it's dishwasher safe so none of the cup mini packs can be used for the 22 ounce cups um yes and no none of them that match up perfectly with rhinestones but like the halloween ones stuff like that will still because they aren't exact matches if it's not a full wrap then you can still kind of get away with it exactly yep um the measurements for the starbucks cups is in the file it says what all the
