they don't know that they're not allowed to talk to you yet you just drink your coffee and then you stop if you're still drinking that means don't talk to me right you couldn't see and as you guys know you couldn't see any of this stuff before the coffee was in there right you couldn't see any of that it was just black on black because the material is actually black so it's freaking super cool yes it is and yeah i can show you the other color um the other color is is it this one let's see easy way to find out nope this is cold the easiest way just hit the heat gun to it and i know if it's cold or not because it obviously oh it's this one right here i had it set out on purpose so this is the cotton candy and you can see that turns a pink cotton candy right um the other ones yes and and you guys have seen these ones for as far as do i saw somebody ask do you have other cold or hot color changing this one here this is our purple to pink so the purple the pink you'll notice here in we've had these two colors for a little while now you can see it changing the yellow as it goes so freaking cool isn't it i love it when it's just half full and it hits those colors so i wanted to get literally took probably five minutes to make all rhinestones all right let me set that off to the side these are just iphone chargers super super easy to make okay and i'm going to show you now there's a couple different things you can do these and this is where people get confused and i want to explain everything tonight okay these are flatback rhinestones okay flatback rhinestones require the glue the pick tool now the tool i would recommend is the crystal katana we have them on the side as well for picking up the stones and you're placing them so this is for example our shoe kit right here i just down i just discounted the shoe kits 25 for tonight so the coupon code doesn't do anything for the shoe kits however i did just discount them five dollars and they were normally 20 bucks the kit is enough to get and complete one pair of shoes so whether it's adidas a nike like any kind of basic size kind of logo like this right here does that make sense um the adhesive on the bling sheets is super super strong like i've put them on my wife's car we've we put them everywhere okay they're honestly super hard to get off they're so strong so here's the deal with these right here okay how much would you and this is where i want to talk about pricing a little bit i'm going to show you the calculator that i use here in a little bit as well okay how much would you charge for to do a pair of rhinestone shoes like this right here yes the kit will do the logo on both sides of the shoes yes it will it comes with a mixture of 10 grows a mixture of ss10 and ss6 rhinestones but what would what would be your guess you guys tell me how much would you charge a customer to rhinestone their shoes like this right here i'm gonna let these comments come in real quick as i get some of the other stuff ready give me a price i'm seeing a hundred i'm seeing 75 i'm seeing 75 the bling sheets on the website are right on the main page you'll see them right on the main page kelly um they are paying for the shoes correct they're going to bring you a pair of shoes you're just paying them to put the stones on i'm seeing 45 80 50 60 20 10 45 60 40. okay just to let you guys know where i am okay i need it to be worth my time all right so i don't consider myself super fast but i'm pretty quick with doing the stones all right it normally takes me about 15 minutes per for example in this case 15 minutes per nike swoosh 15 minutes per swoosh okay i charge a hundred dollars an hour that price does include the rhinestones as well okay so you want to make it as simple as possible all right so what i mean by as simple as possible is you know about how many stones you can place per minute or per hour and know kind of the cost going into it right so a pair of shoes would take me probably right around an hour so if they're gonna take me right around an hour they bring me the shoes i charge them a hundred dollars now this right here these are flat back rhinestones as well okay this cubs this is amazing isn't it but this cubs cup took me about six hours how much would i charge for this and you've never seen one like this don't lie you know it's the most amazing cup you've ever seen i mean it doesn't compare to kelly's car but for a cubs cup let's go if it took me six hours i'm gonna charge them 600 bucks exactly now here's the thing though sometimes you don't know how long it's going to take right so i i'll tell the customer hey this is going to be probably between six hundred and seven hundred dollars depending on how many i always say how many stones depending on how many stones or how long it's going to take me okay and i'm honest with them if it does only take me six hours i i charge him 600 bucks if it takes me 6 hours and 15 minutes i charge him 615 dollars all right or i'm sorry 625 so okay that's a great question susan so i was waiting for this question to come up all right am am i without licensing allowed to sell this cup um cg yes they will it's a small customer base but yes they will pay this honestly when kelly makes these cups she charges over a thousand dollars twelve hundred dollars for him because normally she's using swarovski stones as well eric i wouldn't sell this for less than a million dollars so could i sell this where are you at am i allowed to go sell are you allowed to go sell cubs cups i mean can you yeah you could i mean you may be able to for a month you may be able to for a week you may be instagram you got to come over to youtube come over to youtube you'll see i'm on youtube and i'm on tick tock over here you're going to get better views but you can however it might be a week it might be a month it might be a year it might be 10 years but eventually mlb is hunting you down and taking all your that's not the way it works all right so i had to get in there quick for anybody that's new because some people see that and they think it's okay when the major league baseball or the nfl or the nhl or the nba or disney or harley-davidson or whoever it is comes to sue you and you say well no it was just inspired by mickey mouse mickey mouse ain't inspiring anybody to make money mickey mouse is making all the money all right all right i just had to go face to face on that part right there because that's important all right we'll switch back around here speech over so um for personal use if you aren't selling it sure you can make something for personal use if you're not selling it however here's the deal debbie i just saw your comment deb yes if you play the if you play the disney accenting it i'm just adding to it okay i'm just putting stones where colors are basically does that make sense so i'm not selling tan you a cubs cup i can't go to i can't go to um tervis tumbler and buy a hundred of these cups and then sell them because then i'm selling them as a cubs cup whether you say it or not you are right but because tan you brought the cup to me the only thing i'm charging tan you for is my time and labor for my rhinestones to put it on i'm selling them my service exactly exactly so i'm selling them i'm selling tan you my time my service to decorate her cup with rhinestones whether it's her name on it whether it's a cubs cup whatever it is i'm just decorating that cup for her does that make sense yes this was the exact design underneath it you are correct and then i'm gonna again can you already went out and bought the cup i'm gonna charge tan you okay i'm gonna charge tan you a hundred dollars an hour and that's where i'm getting my six hundred dollars from now you don't have to charge a hundred dollars an hour you can charge whatever you want for it right that's just the number i'm at as far as for my time to customize it makes sense so this a nike golf ball obviously you're not going to be playing golf with the nike golf ball and that's the thing mary i'm not selling it that's the difference mary so mary's question was so you can legally sell it as long as it's already licensed no not the way that you're saying it there mary because the way that you're saying it there that i'm taking it is i'm selling you the cubs cup i'm only selling you this is another one this was a jets helmet right and completely customized little things that you can accent that i love and this this is something i really like okay and this is a a mixture of the two things we're going to be covering tonight this one here all of these on the inside here these are all flatback stones okay that i applied with the glue same glue as the shoe kit all around the outside are all flat back stones that i applied with the glue kit these little accent stones at the top are the same thing this little ring around it is a bling sheet makes sense so i did a mixture of hand placing and that right there now i could have even done two rows of bling sheet around this i just thought the bigger stones would look nicer this here just a picture frame this is done with all bling sheets this thing probably took me 10 minutes to do imagine ham placing every single one of those that would be absolutely insane right let me grab another one for you this one here oh amazing it's on the products we love page and what was it four pairs of these for like it was something ridiculous were they like 12 bucks guys i think it's four pairs for like 12 bucks it's pretty insane like three dollars a pair so i trimmed that edge now what i need to do obviously i need to make sure it's going to wrap all the way around which it does so i'm good there and then i'm going to trim this edge here so what i'm trimming off is just the little extra side it has a little extra side of adhesive okay yes they are titanium yes they're freaking awesome and now i need to measure out okay how many rows i need so i'm going to put this here i'm going to look at my top there look at my bottom there and i need to go to right here so i have it marked with my thumb right now so now that i have it marked with my thumb i just put a little snippet in it so i know okay so i know that that is the height of this cup right here perfect now what i want to do is i need to find out how many rows i need okay so i'm going to wrap this around and i'll normally go at least one too many just to make sure that i'm getting all the way to it okay so coming around here and i have it wrapped around the top and i'm going to come to about right here and trim that so what i did is i just clipped both of those areas got it so with that being said now now i can trim here and then trim this side because i don't really want to cut a lot of extra spots right if i don't have to because i'm going to be able to do at least at least two of these can coolers with this one sheet right here um can you do computer laptops a hundred percent yes and they look awesome um i mean you guys can even see right here let me show you tick tock i did the tv right here see my tv right there youtube see the tv right here i did this whole tv in all bling sheets all right so this should fit pretty good for me right here let's check yep i'm feeling that so i'm just going to make sure all of my edges are good because this is where it's going to attach because obviously my goal is to get as little of a seam as possible where it's connecting right you can blink so many things i'm going to show you i'm going to show you we're going to bring a few things tonight all right and i'm going to show you how you can turn something that's just a mess into something awesome too now what i want to do um i need to get on i'll get on facebook as well to get some more people here so now what i want to do is i'm going to just go ahead and bring over my little holder here and let's go ahead and work on putting this on so i'm going to remove my backing here okay and i don't remove it all the way i just kind of folded it over a little bit and let's go ahead get this kind of near the top there kind of near the bottom we're going to get it as straight as we can obviously i got one i'm trying to get out a little got a little dog hair in here let me get a pair of tweezers the downfall to having a white dog right got it all right so and then what i'm going to do is i'm going to slowly kind of wrap this around here just kind of try and keep it as straight as i can as i'm removing the backing right here and then as i come to the end i'm going to see how we're lining up right now it looks like i'm lining up pretty good here good there and i'm hoping i'm about one row over so let's see i am perfect so i should be able to now basically trim a row so i'm trimming one row off here and i can save this row but honestly it's probably going to be more difficult to try and save it trim that row off and let's go ahead and attach here and now all i'm doing is kind of trying to make sure they're all lined up pretty good and i'll show you especially those of you who have used the bling sheets before i'm going to show you another cool little trick you can do as well all right feeling pretty good with that now i can see a little bit of a seam now okay and watch what i'm going to do i'm going to press that seam down and then i'm actually going to grab watch this my heat gun you don't have to do this part but it normally makes it look a little bit nicer especially for any little seams i'm basically heating up that area a little bit because that is still an adhesive right heating up that area a little bit and i'm kind of pushing them together and you'll see what's going to happen is my seam is basically going to disappear and there we go check that out and then obviously we put back on the top imagine how long that would have taken to hand place and look at how sweet it looks that's pretty sweet isn't it and look at how damn good it looks right but again what's nice is you can still we didn't put stones on the very top so you can still spin the top off you can put your drink in spin it back and you're ready to go you don't have to have the heat gun but i would recommend a heat gun because heat gun can help you in a lot of different situations okay all right so and like someone just said this it looks really clean it looks really nice it doesn't look gaudy right it doesn't look over the top it doesn't look trashy at all it just looks clean it looks good it looks like it's part of it right you can use your blow dryer 100 yeah if it gets hot enough i like the black the black on black is always my favorite with these all right so the other one i said we were going to do oh we'll do the skinny can cooler for this one we will do the skinny can cooler um so by the rule of save a cup they do recommend hand washing it does say dishwasher can discolor this product as well as affect its insulation feature so i recommend hand washing it more because of what the actual cup is told to do does that make sense um if you look on the products we love on the website look on the products we love on the website and you will see the heat gun and i'll remind me and i'll show you guys later all right so now we're going to do this one so this is just a skinny can cooler which way do you want the leopard or zebra print to go do you want it to go up and down vertical or horizontal you guys tell me vertical or horizontal what you got for me um can someone i don't know the exact price can someone go to saveacup.com real quick and tell me what the price of the can coolers are and most people will buy like 12 let's say what's the price if you get 12 of the can coolers price per unit someone hooked me up i see most people almost everybody's saying horizontal all right horizontal it is so saveacup.com let me know what the price for the can coolers if you buy 12 of them all right so i'm doing the same thing i did before i'm trimming here to get it right along the edge and i'll just trim the whole thing because it'll help for any future products as well that i do they're 9.49 each for six of them 7.95 for 12 of them okay seven so you're looking at eight bucks for the can cooler which they're nice i mean they're nice metal can cooler so that's pretty dang good price um looking eight bucks on that i would sell a full rhinestoned one honestly for probably a minimum of this don't think about how long it took okay probably actually i know what i would sell it for you guys tell me what you would sell it for you paid eight dollars for the can cooler how much did you pay in stones let's see you could do one could you do three of them maybe i think hold on let me just see real quick you might be able to get three per let's see oh this one's bigger though one two you could probably do two and a half per and if you were looking at 25 to 25 on the blink sheet with the sale that's going on that knocks that down to getting two and a half twelve about ten ten dollars you got about eight you're going to have guesstimating around 15 to 18 dollars in cost 15 to 18 in cost and most of you guys are right where i was gonna say i would be right at about i would be right at about 40 to 50 think about how here's the thing think about how long that took me okay think about how long that took me so let's just say you had ten dollars in sheet cost eight dollars in um can cooler cost that's 18 in cost right selling it for 40 bucks but it only takes you five buck five minutes to make it your labor cost is next to nothing right five minutes labor costs next to nothing machines don't need anything all you need is a freaking pair of scissors that's what makes it super easy all right so let's figure out my rows here good there i got to trim this edge here i definitely would not go under i would definitely not go under 30 no way no way i would say a minimum of 35. because even at 35 if you paid a higher price say you got the sheet when it's not on sale and you had 20 in cost with the stones and with the can cooler 35 you're still making 15 in five minutes yes so the wider one a soda can fits in the smaller one the skinny can coolers fit in okay so i got that let me measure where i need to go here so there to the top i want to try something on this one too i'm going to try it in just a minute hold on and then to go into the top i'm looking at the split between those so i'm going right there so good to go there and now i need to find out where my wrap goes to around here i'm going to do something a little different with this one can you submerge bling sheets and water to handle yes you can yeah the the adhesive on the bling sheets i'm telling you guys is super super strong super strong no problem with the water remember i'm going at least one row too big so i just trimmed that there and then let's cut where did i trim it on this side where did i go you're in a lit room like this sometimes the the stones are just sparkling at you it's hard to see right and don't think i mean think of this guys how many of these little chargers could you make with amazing it's amazing how many things fluffy girl how many different just crazy things you can do with these and customize the biggest thing with this honestly is just trying to make sure that you put it on straight so it doesn't start moving on you too much as you kind of wrap it around and you see what i'm doing here see how i'm releasing it as i go no you don't want to use these on clothes for clothes you're going to use regular hot fix stones these are just for basically smooth hard surfaces like this now the only downfall that you're always going to run into when you're using a pattern like this is you're never going to get it seamless because the pattern is never going to connect perfectly on the other side does that make sense so you can see how strong that glue is right there just as i'm trying to trim this right look at that um yeah i'm not i didn't see as if plara was here but pilar actually put the bling sheets on an accent of the blink sheets on her car as well and i did them on laureen's car my wife's car i did the whole um accent trim of my wife's car so let's get this i'm just making sure we're lined up good and now i'm starting to form down my seam here tell you what the seam actually looks better than i thought it was going to maybe because the lines and the seam lines are so thin but this is going to look pretty sweet all right we have my heat gun here um no in the car wash they're perfect in the car wash no problems at all so just heated it up so i can kind of push on my seam a little bit here kind of move them around get that see and i love doing these live i love doing these live because you guys can see the actual process it's not me editing videos and making it look like it took three seconds to do it like you're seeing me do it live right here right so it's not like i'm hiding anything and we're done let's screw our top back on here and there is so which one do you like better the zebra print or the clean just jet black so there's where you're going to see the seam just because the way the zebra print lines back up right but which one do you like better i always prefer the jet black but i know a lot of you guys are gonna love rolling it around and then i'm going to see here in a minute what i need to cut off which is one row of stones and then what i would do is just know as soon as i make one of them like this right now i can look at it and say okay that took exactly nine rows of stones or whatever it was right there we go and let's attach it and what's really cool about this is again this adhesive on these bling sheets is so strong let me get that little extra piece out that it sticks to this freaking amazing and in a matter of oh it's it's amazing for yes it's amazing for pins and there we go that's a vinyl so i'm going to come over here to launch and cut plot cm4 and let me bring you guys over to the cutter over here so you guys can see what's going on uh facebook i'll be able to get you guys up here for a little while you should be able to still see some of what we got going on there we go all right so loading my material in first oh shoot let me flip you guys around to the production cameras there we go and let's go ahead and get my material lined up one oh i went outside of my area there there we go now with this machine with the graphtec okay i'm going to hit one for front edge it's going to read my material shoot it to the front and then it's ready to go okay now i always move it in a little bit because i have it set to the very edge right now and then for my pressure i'm using a pressure of 15 right here so what i'm going to do is come over to my cut settings force of 15 i'm gonna hit send now with these especially with the little areas i like to use my little pin weeding tool right here just easier with some of these little areas and i also need to grab my other black mug because the whole point of this i want it to stay hidden off the start until you put the drink in there a rhinestone finger [Laughter] i mean you could do the hand placed stones now the biggest thing i need to make sure i guess i should have checked my sizing before but we should probably be pretty good it should be kind of what i hopefully what i did earlier for the tick tock so when weeding this i'm using my pen tool here so just get that out and you can actually see the red on the back side of the vinyl right there that's the color it changes to obviously and then the one thing i love about this material all of these color changing vinyls is how freaking easy they are to weed like that right there and drunk and let's get our finger out here boom good to go all right got that part of it now i need to get some app tape and then i need to get one of my mugs um heather i believe they're ss6 um which one [Music] oh that i might be able to fit that just perfect there it's gonna be a tight it's gonna be tight let's see oh yeah yeah all of this color changing vinyl it is it is it's super easy to weed all right let me grab the mug here i think i have i hope i have one more black one over here look how nice these come packaged too have a whole kind of foam insert here perfectly for all the mugs so they won't break that's pretty damn nice isn't it and then it just fits right back on perfectly all right so let me just trim this off and let me grab my tumbler holder cup holder i'm right-handed so i'm going to be drinking like this hopefully you're right-handed if you win this as well and i'm going to have it go kind of a little bit bigger i made this one a little bit bigger than the other one on purpose okay so we're going to go around that side there now to kind of make sure that you get it on straight what i like to do is use parchment paper it's what i also use when i do a lot of my layering stuff right i'm just going to grab the parchment paper throw that here and now i can move this all around and watch this let's get it kind of close to the edge there i got my drink drink and drunk let's kind of keep that pretty straight looks good lift up my parchment paper and now i can work this down once that's good pull this up and check that out what i love you price bling sheets i price it based on merry obviously you base it off of the product that you purchase okay so if you purchased a um one of those one of these can coolers then i got eight dollars in a can cooler then how many can coolers can i make with a bling sheet so the smaller can coolers like this one i could do three of them okay so then what i'm going to do is i'm going to get out my calculator and let's just say i i'm going to do it in crystal okay so if i'm doing it in crystal i'm gonna go to the website here and i'm gonna order one crystal sheet or actually let's order two crystal sheets so i ordered two crystal sheets right i'm gonna go to checkout let's get rid of these other things in my cart two crystal sheets that brought them down to 25.50 each plus the twenty percent off now i'm at forty dollars and eighty cents okay so forty eighty and i can make six of them i'm at dollars and eighty cents in bling sheet cost for this one with the crystal all right so 680 and bling sheet cost plus we said the the can cooler was around eight dollars so i have about fourteen dollars and eighty cents in cost i don't need to worry about a lot of labor cost and overhead cost on this because i don't really have a whole lot i'm not running electric i don't have a machine i don't have a heat press i don't need all that stuff right i look at it as let's call it 10 minutes call it 10 minutes in labor cost so 1480 we're paying someone let's say um 15 an hour okay divided by six that's two dollars and fifty cents in labor cost plus 1480 i have 17.30 cents into this with my labor cost time as well so thinking of it that way if i sell this for honestly even 30 bucks okay if i sold it for 30 i would sell it for at least 40. but if i sold it for 30 bucks i'm still going to make 12.70 technically in 10 minutes right so if i'm making 12.70 every 10 minutes times six that's seventy six dollars and twenty cents an hour that i'm making does that make sense so everybody always asks me what do you sell like bling sheet items for it all depends on the item like that tv back there cutting all the strips is going to take 20 minutes to make so i have more labor cost it's you have to think of it um matt please tell them how to claim their mini packs oh new people no problem to claim your mini packs just look on the website under designs and many packs we have using their font nothing all i'm using is chicago cubs and i'm just going to put it in red and blue can i make that yes and sell it or no because i know we have a lot of newer people here so i'm i want to ask it before and get your so i am seeing a mixture okay i'm honestly i'm seeing a lot of yeses okay the answer is one thousand percent no 1 000 no here here is here's the easiest way to think of it okay here's the easiest way to think of it if the customer is buying the mug assuming that it is the chicago cubs baseball team it cannot be sold because you're using the cubs brand their name their their trademark you're infringing on their name even so i still always see people saying well if i change the design by 10 okay do that change the mickey design by 10 and sell shirts because i guarantee you they're gonna take a hundred percent of the money you made when they come sue your ass and i'm just saying that i'm just telling you guys this because i don't want any that to happen to any of you and i've seen it happen to a lot of businesses and customers of ours and i always try to stress to not do it don't do it if you build your business that way you're not building a business so it doesn't matter i'm telling you if you put three circles i'm telling you right now if you put three circles on a coffee cup like this with a name on it and it looks anywhere close to the the mickey mouse ears disney will sue you anywhere close and that's the thing is they might not get you for three years they might not get you for five years they might not get you for 10 years here's the bad part about that though if they don't get you for 10 years that means you've made a boatload of money and they're going to take every penny of that back and some and you won't have a business anymore i promise i mean i've told you most of you here have heard my story right with uh cease and desist i think how many of you here have heard my story i tell it all the time so here's the deal i'll tell it when i started my business okay when i started my business i was the decal world okay i started my business as the decal world all i sold i'll show you let me grab a couple of them all i really sold was vinyl car windows vinyl car window decals like let me get the big picture here hold on vinyl car window decals like these here i would go to events i would sell them okay baseball mom i heart my wiener right um english mom like with a little lab soccer mom websites custom okay you know what happened i thought again i was ignorant okay i had no clue right i had no clue i thought i i fell for that ten percent if you're not using their font if you're not using their logo you're good okay so you know what i did i started they were popular as hell on ebay i mean we're talking 12 13 years ago they were popular as hell there were decals and it said got hurricanes got gators got knights got bulls these are all colleges in florida here right florida gators miami hurricanes ucf knights um usf bowls florida state seminoles got seminals a basic impact font with a question mark all right not too long into my business i got a cease and desist from the clc the college licensing committee and i i at first i was like yeah whatever what's this it's some spam whatever so then i got another one and then i called them and i was like okay well says the call what's what's up well you you have this you have this you have this and i was like okay but i'm not using your logo i'm not using your font i'm not even using your colors i had it in all white right and they're like well you're using our name you're infringing on our name you're infringing on the college licensing committee and i was like no i'm not because i'm doing this and they're like okay well you can either take all of your stuff down or we're going to come after you and and get everything that you've made on any of this so i started i was kind of being a little bit of a smart ass off the start because i didn't really think i was doing anything wrong and oh college licenses aren't cheap if you look into them depending on what you're doing and i'll tell you that too because i did get them um so i was kind of a smart ass with the guy on the phone i was like well you're doing got gators i was like i live in florida there's gators all around and we have gator hunters here and he's like well what about got hurricanes i was like we live in florida there's hurricanes we got hurricanes all the time that's why i'm selling the got hurricanes decal which was complete bs i was selling it for the miami hurricanes i was selling it for the florida gators right you got bulls yeah there's rodeos all over the place here we got bulls everywhere okay so then obviously that was all bs so he's like okay well if you want to do this and you don't want to take them down then we're going to we already gave you the cease and desist we're going to follow through with this so i did more research on and i called back i was like okay i see what's going on and then they still asked for every sale on ebay that i ever had i mean it took me weeks to figure all this stuff out and send it all to them and when i did send it all to them they saw i didn't make a lot of money on it they said okay we aren't going to do anything just don't do it again don't list it again be done with it and the reason why when i did more research on it i was it was got gators but i was obviously selling it to a florida gator fan i was obviously selling it to my the person that bought it was buying it because they figured it was for the florida gators for the miami hurricanes for the tampa bay bucks and so on so that's where don't think changing 10 percent any of that stuff i promise they will come after you and they did to me so what i did do as my business grew i did finally get college licensing for our five schools i got i got what's called a local license so a local license it gave me okay it gave me my five local big schools here so i got um miami i got florida state i got florida i got ucf and i got usf are the five big schools here okay and each when you do and this was probably 10 years ago but at the time i don't know if it's more or less now at the time i had to submit everything that i was going to make and i had to pay okay so listen miami miami and florida state and florida were bigger schools i had to pay 15 of all sales of every sale so if if i sold something for 100 bucks florida state got 15 of it 15 okay then i also had to pay based on the item i was selling to the clc so if like one of them i sold was car decals just to be able to sell car decals it was 5 000 a year per school okay so that right there is 25 grand to be able to sell short sleeve t-shirts specific t-shirts was ten thousand dollars had to do it for each school to sell hooded was more expensive to sell hats was another so they have different categories of so don't think of it like i have the licensing to florida state and i can sell all florida state stuff no you've got to pay 10 grand to be able to sell a short sleeve t-shirt then you got to pay 15 grand to be able to sell a hooded hooded sweatshirt then you gotta pay five grand to be able to sell decals then you gotta pay another five grand to be able to sell stickers that are different than car decals oh it gets insane it's a freaking rabbit hole of stuff and every one of your designs and products have to be approved by them so when i was gonna make a shirt i would make a florida state shirt and the four designs i was going to make i had to physically make all four of the shirts send them to the clc to get approved once they got approved about two months later then they said yes you can sell that and i was like okay can i get my four shirts back they're like no we don't give the stuff back so i just wasted four shirts too but yes it's you i'm telling you for me and as big as we were which we weren't that big at that time it was not worth it i did it for one year i did it for one year and that was it um if you're making yourself uh if you live in ohio and you make yourself an ohio state shirt for you to wear to an ohio state game everybody does that okay you're not making money on it you're not trying to sell it however here's what happens when you do that okay what happens when you do that is you're gonna make some bad ass ohio state shirt and all rhinestones with some glitter and this you're going to go to the ohio state game and every freaking fan you walk by is going to ask you where you got that shirt from right they're gonna ask you where you got that shirt from and you're gonna really want to tell them that you can make it but don't do it and by the way i hate ohio state buckeyes [Laughter] oh yes they will want you oh we got the michigan fans in the house too all right so that wasn't part of the plan tonight but anytime someone brings up that licensing stuff like that i always like to talk about it because i want i really don't want to see people's businesses get shut down yes you there is there is a such thing as a personal use license yeah but again i like to share all this stuff with you guys i like to share my store like i think that's one big advantage i have over a lot of different companies like my mine is i've been at some point in my business i've been where every one of you are not knowing a clue just starting out being a high school teacher and trying to do it on the side from midnight to 4am right i'm still doing the till 4am part it's just full time now but i always try to share different experiences that i had and especially the bad ones so you guys don't have those same experiences right 100 gary yes like okay that's another good one gary gary that's a great point so gary just said fonts thousand percent how many of you guys here go to default.com and grab fonts how many of you defunct everybody knows dafont right i see you guys everybody raising their hand yeah yeah yep so every time you go to dafont.com and you get a font and you use that font on a shirt that you make those are personal use only fonts those aren't commercial use fonts so i mean are they going to come after you i'm not going to say no i mean i'm going to say it be pretty slim would i recommend using them i always say no did i when i first started i did because i didn't know any better most of you are probably saying shut the hell up matt because if i don't know then i don't feel bad [Laughter] right um but where i recommend going is google fonts so if you go to google fonts dot com and i don't know how many fonts they have now um no that's not it fonts.google.com so at google fonts almost all of theirs are they do give you the licensing for a commercial use as well so if you're going to go grab font somewhere go grab grab them from there now all of our fonts that we do are hand drawn fonts so fonts are going to look somewhat similar in some ways okay but every font that we sell every font that we do was every single letter was hand drawn by our graphic artist so anything that you get from trw from our website is a commercial use font yeah we create our own fonts correct no problem donna no problem um yes i mean everything sororities fraternities licensing yeah yep you got it all right so hopefully hopefully
