let's get you caught up on everything that's happened today what we expect for tonight and of course what you can expect for this weekend look at the East Coast doesn't matter if you're in the nation's capital maybe in North Carolina or in the Big Apple we're all experiencing the same type of weather gloomy skies and threatening to unleash even more rain that leads us to a two out of four risk notice there's a stationary boundary locked into place and uh several warnings that are active as of right now look it's summertime it's the weekend A lot of people want to head to the beach can we Salvage the weekend at any point here along the east coast let's dive into that forecast and and make uh make some people happy hopefully as we look towards Sunday that's going to be a little foreshadowing I think it improves uh dramatically then notice temperatures are into the 80s if not into the upper 70s plenty of warmth still for these storms overnight Bermuda hot it won't budge at all and so that's going to allow these storms to continue to cycle along the I95 Corridor in the east coast for tonight into tomorrow stationary boundaries also mean that it doesn't budge so the same spots keep hitting over and over again and that means you can get that flooding concern but notice the areas that we're talking about right now they are down in the Mid-Atlantic look at what's below me that's lynen Vermont so these areas of the New England region like Vermont New Hampshire and even portions of Maine that experienced this dramatic flooding and they are waiting for the water to recede don't have to worry about additional storms thankfully the stationary boundaries though May create some flooding concerns for big cities like DC Baltimore Philly even up towards the Big Apple through tomorrow morning because of the onshore flow and that flooding risk continues through the morning time and then I see a lot of this cycling off into the Atlantic which is a good sign that many enjoy getting out to the beach notice this is the rain expectation that's overwater doesn't impact anybody Chesapeake Bay that's where you could start to see some more of those robust showers or out towards hatus and the Outer Banks just because they hang out a little bit further out into the Atlantic we do have this active until tomorrow uh so when we look at this one I guess Silver Lining or benefit would be this here areas into the Carolinas even up towards Virginia dealing with that severe or extreme drought looking at New York City I think it's tomorrow early on you could get some thunderstorms then clearing out by Sunday but notice how quickly the temperatures start to warm back up let's talk about Manhattan Hench if you're lucky enough to be up in the Big Apple tonight or tomorrow you may have an opportunity to see that that's where the sun sets up right down the Avenue and you get this beautiful effect here uh our EP Tony he got that this was was me over the weekend Sunday I know you can do a way better job than I did I did that while I was riding my scooter wouldn't advise that it's not easy right so uh if you do get a picture of Manhattan henge it's been tough to find this year because we've had so many storms if you get a good shot share with us on X ashf Fox weathershare we'll put it on air now let's talk more about how this could impact your Beach plant notice behind me that's Ocean City a lot of people along the boardwalk it's Breezy right now but the concern is when you have an onshore flow that creates dangerous rip currents risk something you have to take uh you know into mind when you head towards the beach because again it may be difficult to see when you're at the surface right LIF guards are propped up right they're in their little towers and they can look you get a better vantage point of that when is it better to get to the beach well Sunday it starts to clear out so you don't have to worry about those storms but we do have the rip current risk from Monto through Jones Beach so the southern side of Long Island along with Ocean City which we were just showing you the Jersey Shore under a moderate risk it's more parallel [Music]
