[Music] hi friends welcome to my channel if you're new here welcome my name is Tina Zink and I'm an independent demonstrator with Stampin Up and I live in Nova Scotia Canada and in today's video I'm going to demonstrate a really neat card fold also known as a fun fold it's super easy but when you're just looking for a different way to make your cards I think you're going to really like this there are many different ways that you can use this one card fold and there's also different ways that of course you can decorate it using your own stamping or designer series paper so it's very very versatile I think you're gonna like it so let's get stamping so to start making this card I have a piece of basic black and this measures eleven and a half five five-and-a-half and now I'm taking my paper trimmer and I'm just going to score it and I'm going to do my first score at the four and a quarter mark I'm going to slide it over to the seven inches and score there and then the last score is at nine and three-quarters and that is it for making this card bold I'm just going to go ahead and use my bone folder on those creases so how this comes together is you've got your Mountain fold so that goes down like this and then this flap on the end gets folded across the top so it's kind of hard I think to see what the black so I have one already done with my old olive so you can see how it just fold very easy just like a little accordion okay so the next thing I'm gonna do is take some designer series paper now I'm using some of our new magenta Madness designer series paper beautiful color I just thought this would be so nice on the black so this piece here measures four by five and a quarter so I'm gonna put this on this inside layer now I'm using our Stampin seal this is really easy to use I haven't had any troubles with it and I really truly do love it so the trick is just to you might have to start it off a little bit but then you just go nice and smooth and it just it just breaks off and I'm not pushing hard whatsoever that's as easy as that I know some people have been having difficulty with it and I watched another video with the demonstrator and and she had a good point she thinks a lot of people are using it like we did with our sampans our snail adhesive it's it just you're gonna hold it a little bit differently you're just gonna hold it straight up and down and just slide nice and easy so I'm gonna show you on this piece as well so this piece is going to go on this second panel here oh it's hard to choose the patterns because they're all pretty cool but I'm gonna put that one right there a little bit higher there we go okay and then I have I should mention this is two and a half by five and a quarter so then I have a piece that measures one by five and a quarter so I'm gonna go ahead and put some seal on that also [Music] okay so now when I close it it looks like that super easy I have a piece of whisper white this also measures two and a half by five and a quarter at the same as this piece I'm going to stamp that and that's gonna go on this panel now if you wanted to you could switch it and put designer series paper here and put whisper white here so it's it's whatever tickles your fancy I just recently discovered this card fold on a blog that belongs to a demonstrator in Germany and after looking around online I found some other tutorials for this card such as patty Bennett's tutorials and I'm going to show you some of the ideas I got from patty - she's amazing but I'm loving this fold it's really really versatile so anyways let's let's move on to the next step let's stamp now I haven't even decided what stamp set I'm using on this yet um let me see okay I'm going to use the timeless tulips so I'm gonna start I'm not gonna use a punch I'm just gonna stamp it directly on and I think I want to use this smaller tulip grab the block and I'm gonna stick with the same color I'm using magenta madness and I'm gonna stamp it there and in the spirit of our new in colors I'm just gonna pull in my just Jade for the green and it's gonna put a piece of scrap paper there so I'm not in king up my piercing mat any more than it already is and put that there and add some leaves [Music] you know what I'm gonna stamp another tulip on there because there's another little baby to it right here stamping on the fly again you know how I tend to do that sometimes if you've watched my videos before and then you just hope it turns out that's for darn sure this piece is going to be what the message is written on so let's make some fish make some fish bring this back in you see that's gonna go right there like so okay so I'm just using my seal again see you guys it's going on really easy sometimes you do have to just turn it on the edge a little bit start it on that edge but it's it's pretty great and that goes just like so and now I'm going to add my label piece with the sentiment so for this part I've already gone ahead and cut out two die-cuts and this is using the die from our ornate layers dies they're pretty sensational and I also cut a white piece from our stitched rectangle dies soon I want to do some stamping this is going to be a birthday card because I always need birthday cards so I am going to stamp the happy birthday on the front and then what a beautiful difference one single life makes is going to go on the inside and if you wonder what this is this is my template so what I do is I put this online because I know you're probably going to see this and think what the heck is that so what I do is to put this on my whisper white cardstock and I I'll show you let me show you one second because somebody might see this and think what is that all about let me zoom in for you so oh where is my fun here's my punch here's the punch up coordinates with this set now timeless tulips it's been out for a bit now it's not brand new to our at wall it's new neon Oh catalog but it was in our previous mini catalog and it's been carried over and it's pretty sensational so this is what I do so this is just piece of whisper white I take my block ink it up and put it on my card and then I just line this up try not to get my head in the camera time then I get my leaf I need a leaf still this block and this is the leaf right there so I'm just gonna put that on bring in my just j'd and then you just want to stamp this into the template like so it's a little bit off it's just recently I'm right on top there then when you line this up with your punch tell it lines up perfectly then I have my pieces so that's just something that I do that works pretty good so now I can put this aside and you know what I might even use it on the front of the card let's just leave it there see what happens okay back to the sentiment I get it's like squirrel and I'm off and a whole different tangent oh this is for my happy birthday block and grab my memento ink pad oh happy Mother's Day not for another year so we don't want that we want happy birthday where's my happy birthday yeah we go down in the center isn't that pretty script oh I think so all right and using my white die cut now I'm going to use the stamp what a beautiful difference one life makes and ink that up and that's gonna go right on the center I love it okay now this let's get this other way so you can see what I'm doing this piece here I'm gonna put on my black with dimensionals but first I want to position these onto my card so that they're even and I need to close this so I don't have an accident okay so what I'm gonna do first is I'm gonna put this on the front oh my word look how pretty that looks with the pink love it now I only want a little adhesive right here because this is just getting stuck on this little panel and where did I see a little renegade dot that hint popped out I know it there we go nice try but I alright stamp and seal right there maybe we'll go a little bit a little bit more in those corners here we go okay so let's close this and make it somewhat Center all right that is on there now I'm going to take this and just add a little bit of seal on this half [Music] so again just give it a little start [Music] here you go and then I'm just putting it right behind this die so that it's completely Center and then I'm gonna close it up give it a little rub so when I open it it's completely like lined up beautifully not fun oh my gosh okay stampin dimensionals so I'm gonna put this right on the center like that not is the hole and of course like I said you can write your message or you could do your white here and designer series paper it's it's it's just whatever you want to do [Music] now I made a card exactly the same just using different designer series paper using the forever green reed designer series paper and the sentiment is from here's a card so it says I can't begin to count all the times we've laughed together thank you for being my friend such a nice um sentiments but if you notice when you open it it's glued this panel is glued and that's how how I first saw this card and then when I started looking around a little bit I seen how some people did it without gluing and I love that you can do that two different ways I cannot wait to get a look at one my ink anyway I cannot wait to get my Christmas designer series papers and stamps and use this layout for Christmas I think it's gonna be amazing because imagine it with snowflake so you can stamp the snow there's no person in there oh my gosh so many ideas so I'm not going to seal this but if I wanted to this is the flap where I would add my adhesive so that I could stick that together and then that would just be one panel just like this one is instead of having it open and close I'm gonna make another one oh look should we use this you guys I don't know I don't think so I think that's pretty enough as it is and I want to distract from that I think is gorgeous if I may say so myself alright let's bring this old all of one in scored exactly the same eleven and a half by five and a half scored at four and a quarter score at seven and score at nine and three-quarters so I have some designer series paper already pre-cut this is also the forever fern but you know what let's let's glue this down and set up with the pattern side let's well the boat pattern but instead of like the detailed you know leafy side we're gonna use the more abstract side so let's go ahead and stick this on I wanted to go that way and then almost is ashamed to cover this pretty pattern but I'm gonna do it and that goes right there and then this one I really like this pattern too actually it's super pretty okay look how cool that looks okay so this one I'm gonna do a little bit differently and this was an idea that I got from Patti Bennett you can make pockets with this so instead of putting a panel in here I'm going to seal this up and I'm gonna no pun intended but I'm going to use my seal I'm gonna put a little bit here and you could use the stamp and seal Plus as well it's got a really strong hold to it but I prepped this out so that's what I use and then I'm just gonna seal that up and do the same thing here let's sit down here a little bit down here and stick that down so now I'm just adding adhesive completely on this layer so that it folds right over so I got my little my pocket here and I've got the pretty designs and then I have my little labels this is made with our lovely labels pick a punch so this right here love this punch and I have I have punched it out with the pretty peacock and then my whisper white so I'm going to stamp a sentiment on the whisper white okay I'm pulling in another stamp set I'm pulling in the peaceful moments using all our different sentiments I just need to grab a block clean those later so I'm using the sentiment life is better with a friend like you and I'm gonna use Old Olive think that up and stamp it down just fits and this I'm gonna put directly onto my card and then I'm gonna put that right here and I'm also going to put this on directly I'm not going to use stampin dimensionals for this layer and you'll see why in a second just like that and then I've gone ahead and I stamped the happy birthday which is also from peaceful moments with the pretty peacock and I used my layering circle dies to cut out a circle and I ran it through the green ream embossing folders so this is going to be just a decorative piece right here mmm and I think I'll have it going in this kind of the same direction as that paper pattern so again stamp and seal and where do I want that I'm going to put it right there and then dimensionals I just made a bow using our super pretty old olive pretty peacock ribbon so I'm gonna trim off these edges a bit it's good and grab my blue dot to put that on to the card [Music] just like so [Music] and I put some more glue dots down just to kind of hold this in place where I want it [Music] like so there now I take my gift card and I slide it in I mean this could go in a little envelope or something too but I slide it in and there's a fun card with a little secret pocket for a gift card and then of course you could write your message on this side whatever you like and this is all the same fold and the neat thing about this fold is how you even though these are glued together you're getting the different patterns so you can do an awful lot with this card fold so do take a look online and you're gonna find so many different ways that you can create using this card fold it is so much fun I hope you give it a try because I know you're going to enjoy it as much as I've been enjoying it if you haven't already I encourage you to get that subscribe button and the thumbs up if you like this video I truly appreciate that and I hope you have a great day and happy stamping
