we'll be talking trash in today's video I've saved up all of my used up products and I just wanted to share them with you do quick mini reviews on whether I liked it or not whether I would buy it again hey everybody it's Angie and welcome to hot and flashy in today's video I've got my empties to share with you I've got everything in here from Skin Care to makeup to Hair Care to random stuff like ey drops and supplements all right let's start in with makeup today I rarely finish up anything in makeup but I do have some makeup items here the first one is a tube of my say slip tint this is my favorite Tinted Moisturizer this has just been such a love from the first minute that I got it and tried it it's a product that I didn't think I was going to like when I first got it because I know that say is really known for making dewy glowy products and you know how I am about my enlarged pores and my texture and everything and I don't really like dewy glowy products normally but there's something magical about its glue gluey doughiness no its dewy gloess gluey doughiness even though it's dewy and glowy it doesn't accentuate my pores as much as other dewy glowy things like it doesn't have a hard Shine the shine in this just is kind of a blurring shine in a weird way I do still powder it though definitely on the fronts of my cheeks and like on my more textur bits you know forehead and Chin but I just do selective powdering and then the rest of my face looks so natural so skin-like so glowy just lip from within and just younger you know I love it when my skin looks younger than it actually is I take this with me whenever I travel because I know it's just going to make me feel so confident and so good in my own skin for a while there I was like o it's kind of tied with some other tinted moisturizers but at this point it is my number one Holy Grail Tinted Moisturizer hands down I have repurchased this because I do love it so much and I'm wearing it today just to show you what it looks like if you have dry skin I think you'll really like this on its own but if you have oilier or more combo skin or maybe enlarge pores because of a lot of sun damage like I do then you might like it just with a little bit of powder and which leads us right into the next thing in the empties bin which are two of my favorite setting powders let's talk about this one first this one is my current Holy Grail setting powder the one that I love the most and it's from the drugstore and it's so inexpensive this is the Nyx mineral matte powder and it comes in Shades I wear this in the shade light medium and I love this one so much because it's a very lightweight powder it's very finely miled but it does have a little bit of color to it so it's not going to give me flashback and it looks so natural on my skin and it just sets my makeup so perfectly without adding any heaviness to the makeup without making it look cakey without making it settle into my wrinkles and this is the powder that I use to set my under under eye concealer and let me tell you this makes my concealer last longer look better settle into my wrinkles less so this is just such a winner for me I have repurchased do have another one wearing this today as well the next setting powder is one that was my Holy Grail before I discovered the Nyx this is the IT Cosmetics bye-bye pores powder and this one only comes in one shade translucent it's a white powder like the Nyx it is very finely mil when I put it on it helps my concealer to stay in place better to settle in my wrinkles less it doesn't add any heaviness or cakiness to my makeup it also makes my pores like instantly disappear when I put it on the fronts of my cheeks if I am wearing a dewy product like this so these are I would say my top two setting powders especially for mature skin because they are so lightweight but I have to be careful when I wear it and not wear it at night if someone's going to be taking pictures of me which you know is very few occasion so if you love this I would just stick with it but if you're you know tend to get photographed at night then definitely go for something like the Nyx all right next up in makeup is my favorite mascara this is the CI Ray Celler high water mascara this is like the perfect mascara for me it makes my lashes look long and silky it's easy to apply and it's also easy to remove and this is a tubing mascara and so it never has clumps this does go on a little bit wet but once it dries eyes it is in place if you have like leaky eyes every time you go out in the cold and you always have that little mascara dribble down there then this is going to be the mascara for you to replace whatever you're using because this one stays in place and because it's a tubing mascara it also doesn't chip or flake so you never end up with little black you know Speckles underneath your eyes during the day and then the last thing in makeup is my favorite lip liner pencil this is the Urban Decay 247 lip liner in naked I'm wearing this one today as well this is not drying and it is the perfect nude color it's a little bit of a pinky nude you know I don't really like the more orangey nudes I've been wearing this for years and years and years it's been my Holy Grail for years I feel like there's a whole bunch of uses left in here but I did purchase a new one already all right let's move on over into skinc care the first thing I'm going to talk about are cleansers and I've got two of my favorite oilbased cleansing balms in my empties so I've used up both of these this one is the Clinique take the day off cleansing balm this is just so nice to use it doesn't take a lot and you just rub it into your dry skin your makeup dry it makes the makeup just melt right away then you just splash it with water give it a little rub and all the makeup just runs right down the drain so this is a really good one I have repurchased this the one I bought was the larger size tub so I have that down there and I'm using it now and then the other cleansing balm I'm so glad this is in here because I keep forgetting to talk about this brand I always forget to talk about geek and gorgeous and this is a brand that started over in the UK and they make fantastic skincare all their formulations are very similar to the formulations of products that I get here and lately I've been getting so many comments from viewers saying that they can't get like the Timeless vitamin C over in Europe and what can they use instead and then I always write in oh get the geek and gorgeous it's really good so I'm glad this is in here this is the geek and gorgeous 101 Mighty Melt cleansing balm this is another fantastic balm works just as good as the Clinique the price point is much much lower you can get it in Europe but geek and gorgeous also did launch a Us website so the first time I bought these I bought them from Europe and had them shipped here and the shipping was very quick but it was also a little expensive and so now they do have a website here in the US so I'll link both the US and the European website down below in the info box if you're interested in their product and I'll also link their vitamin C serum and their retin aldhy serum because those are two fantastic products and and then the last cleanser that I have is my Goku Jun oil cleanser and this is an awesome one that I use just on days where I haven't put on any makeup I've just got on like my tinted sunscreen and it really takes an oil cleanser to get off that tenacious tinted sunscreen I know a lot of you guys ask all the time like how do I get this stuff off at night it won't come off and an oil cleanser is the way to go so you can either use something like an oil balm cleanser like the two I just showed you or you can use something like this that's more of just an oil cleanser so this one you use the same way you rub it into your dry face rub it right into that sunscreen it will dissolve it I rub everything with my Wonder cloth there aren't any Wonder cloths here in the empties but that's an integral part of my cleansing routine because that really helps to get a lot of the makeup off your skin and at the base of your lashes and everything and I just come out so you know like super clean with no makeup and no traces of sunscreen every night that I know that my skin care is going to be able to penetrate better because I don't have a layer of makeup and sunscreen left from the day because my cleansers are so thorough this one doesn't really break up the mascara as much as the cleansing balms do and then I'll go in with the second cleanse as usual and then my face is perfectly clean but also still hydrated and skin feeling good all right next things I used up are my Pacifica cream and lotion this is their vegan camide barrier repair cream and lotion and I love both of these and I thought that they had identical ingredients just one was in a cream form and one was in a lotion form a viewer wrote in and told me that this doesn't have niacinamide in it and I thought they both did I do really love both of these um but I was just disappointed that this didn't contain the niacinamide but what it does have is ceramides and lipids and it has hyaluronic acid and it has glycerin so it is a really good day lotion I've been using it which is fine because I do have niacinamide in my night cream niacinamide is in everything these days and you don't really need that much niacinamide I mean there's a certain amount that does great things for your skin helps it to produce collagen and reduce your wrinkles and brighten and firm but too much niacinamide can really irritate your skin and can make your skin flush so if you've noticed that you've been a lot redder lately I would look at how much niacinamide you're using across your various products I mean usually in something like this it's going to be in there in a small amount like maybe between like 1 and 4% of course you just don't know but the amounts that you want to avoid are anything over like 10% and you know some people's skin can handle over 10% mine couldn't I actually tried like a poish choice 10% niacinamide serum one time and oh my redness came back with a vengeance but the sister product does contain niacinamide so this one has the niacinamide it has the ceramides has hyaluronic acid and glycerin and it's a great cream it's thicker it's more moisturizing this one is also a little bit more matte on the skin so I love this one this is like my everyday day cream that I use in the winter I usually like a lighter lotion during the rest of the year but in the winter I love this have repurchased do have another one going so that is a really great one let me just show you the other products in my skincare routine that do have niacinamide since we're talking about it one of them is the Olay Regenerist Ultra Rich cream this is one of the nighttime winter moisturizers that I use you know when it's winter the heat's on the air is so dry our skin gets so dry and I love this Ultra Rich cream for the winter so um of course all used up all gone this one has niacinamide it also contains peptides and it has hyaluronic acid and it has glycerin so that is a really good one the other night cream I use is the elf holy hydration fragrance-free face cream this one has all the same ingredients as the Olay including the Nia CineMate this is a little bit more of a lightweight cream than the Olay Ultra if you have super dry skin between the two of these I'd recommend the Olay just because it's thicker and more amoliant and creamier and I think it locks in the moisture on your skin better and holds it there overnight this one's a little bit more lightweight you could use this like all year round it's not necessarily like a super heavyweight winter cream this is more like a super heavyweight winter cream so love both of those I used up a bottle of my ordinary 10% lactic acid serum I love this serum it's been Holy Grail for me for years now and I apply this in the morning after my vitamin C serum it just helps to exfoliate my skin but the other thing I love about lactic acid is that it helps your skin to produce more ceramides and ceramides are those fatty lipids that make your skin look plump and so this is a great one really love that have repurchased and then another serum that I love is from Timeless it's the matrixels 6 serum used up another bottle of this Matel is a peptide and it's supposed to work on six different signs of aging in your skin and I use this one in my nighttime skincare routine I love it I usually buy the 4 oz version of this and just decant it into this little bottle so I do still have it in the 4 oz which I have to put in here tonight last face skin care thing is a used up of my Derma e eczema relief cream this is my irritation relief cream I use it on my neck just about every day morning and night because this is the time of year where my NE is so irritated all the time this really helps a lot and I love this and this is kind of my tried and true one that I've been using the longest and that I love the most have repurchased did use it this morning and last night so got to love that you know I always have a lot of sunscreen in my empties so I have four different sunscreens for you here sunscreen isn't just for summertime it's for all year round every day rain or shine let's get into the sunscreens that I have here what I've been using a lot lately in the ELA MD UV elements SPF 44 this has been a Holy Grail tinted mineral sunscreen for a long long time and I love this one and I just found out that this one's getting reformulated so they're actually increasing the SPF to an SPF 50 they're keeping it tinted they're adding some antioxidants but the other thing that I noticed they're adding is buty Oyl salicylate this is a sunscreen booster and they are putting it in Mineral sunscreens to increase the SPF on them and the original formula of this does not use butyloctyl salicylate this is one of the few mineral sunscreens that truly is an all mineral sunscreen and they're changing it and now it's not going to be anymore and I've been finding lately that sunscreens that have a high amount of buty Oyl salicylate just make my skin burn not so much while I'm wearing the sunscreen but when I wash it off that night my eyelids especially and my neck are just on on fire for like the next 2 days if you like this and if you're a person who has tried to use mineral sunscreen because you have super sensitive skin and even the mineral sunscreens burn your skin I would look and see if they have but oy cellos silate because you may be in my camp where it just irritates your skin since this has been discontinued I bought like six of them sunscreen especially the mineral sunscreen ingredients can last in the tube for up to 3 years so if you love this and it's the only one that didn't irritate your skin I would snap it up now before there aren't any left I saw that they still had stock on Amazon and at Derm store that's where I bought mine the stock at Walmart is gone moving on to the Haru Haru Wonder black rice Airy fit sunscreen this is an SPF 50 with a pa+++ plus rating I used up two of these it shows you how much I like these it's so funny talking about sunscreens that irritate me this is an all chemical sunscreen but this sunscreen uses the European SL Asian sunscreening ingredients that the FDA hasn't approved yet here I love these because they are not irritating at all on my skin and so I can use this one with no problems where now it seems like even all the mineral sunscreens here are going to irritate my skin so I'm been using this a lot more it's not tinted so on days when I'm not wearing any makeup I still reach for the ELA MD just because it gives me such a nice little tint and I love that this is just like a plain white sunscreen but it doesn't leave a white cast at all but my skin just looks like my skin without any you know color correcting but this is such a wonderful sunscreen and can I say one of the things that I love the best about it is how this tube flattens out when you get to the end of it like you don't have to cut this thing open you don't have to be digging around with the little mini spatula to know that you've got the last of it out and I love that about these this makes it so much more economical cuz you guys know sunscreen is expensive and especially if you're using your qu teaspoon a day for your face and your neck you go through these quick right takes out all the guesswork of did I get every last drop out of here 100% yes so anyway love that one we'll link these below the video as well and then this is a longtime fave as well this is the Australian Gold Botanical 50 tinted face lotion I get it in the medium deep shade if I have a sunscreen that makes me look really pale and ghostly I'll mix in a little bit of this with it or put it over this one actually comes in four different shades so there's two shades lighter than this one I think and then one shade darker so you can find a good shade match in this but if you have dry skin probably not going to be for you because it is a little bit drying on the skin and then the last sunscreen that was in here was my body sunscreen this is banana boat light as air SPF 50 I love this sunscreen if you've always hated putting on sunscreen because it feels heavy feels greasy makes you hot give this a try it's super lightweight really nice formula dries back really quickly you just don't feel it on your skin you know you don't see it on your skin it doesn't settle in your wrinkles this is like a a fun phenomenon that I've noticed the last couple of years that I have you know like bigger uh wrinkles here on my arm or you know at the tops of my knees my body sunscreen will settle into like my body wrinkles and that's how you know that you're over 60 I used up a tube of the Gold Bond age renew retinol overnight cream and I love this I do like to buy in the bigger bottle with the pump dispenser and now that's more available when it first came out you can only buy that it was like a Walmart exclusive now you can buy it everywhere so that is awesome so I like to use the same ingredients on my body as I use on my face but you can't use tro in all over your body but you can use retinol so this is my retinol lotion and then I have a couple other lotions that I use on my body too this one is really really thick and hydrating and has lots of really good moisturizing ingredients and it's really great especially to use in the winter because it is so thick it has shea butter and some oils in it great little lotion okay and here is my hand cream that I use this is the ke's ultimate strength hand Sal and this is such a fave I actually haven't bought a new one of this and I'm out and I'm so bummed the ingredients in this are so good it has all the heavyduty moisturizers it's got triglycerides and olive oil and Shea butter and sesame oil and avocado oil I use this at night before I go to bed and my hands have been so just good I don't have hang nails I don't have brittle nails it has a really great fragrance it smells kind of like eucalypt toy so it's really fresh and nice but yeah it doesn't make the palms of my hands feel greasy and speaking of hands and dry skin this is my hand wash that I use I have this at every sink in my house this is my absolute favorite alaon hand wash this is an olive oil based soap you know how when you like go to a store and you wash your hands in their bathroom and that hand soap the industrial hand soap it just sucks the moisture out of your skin and your hands immediately feel dry this doesn't do that this you wash your hands and your hands still feel so hydrated that half the time I walk away forgetting to even put on the hand cream and this comes in lots of different scents I love the Almond one this is the uh fresh sea salt one I also love the Rosemary mint the Yuzu lime it is awesome so I'll link that below as well and here is an empty of the Lan lip sleeping mask you guys know how much I love this have been a big fan of this for years it takes forever to get to the bottom of one of these finally emptied out this one and have a new one going probably bought this one a year ago these last me a good 6 to n months and they're amazing put it on at night on my lips keeps them hydrated and moisturized and it's the one thing that when I wake up in the morning I can still feel it on there which is what I like I don't like my lips to be like dry as the desert in the morning when I wake up and this keeps them from being that way okay um hair stuff I have three hair things here of course my orb shampoo and conditioner I you know I always tell you guys how much I love these how much I didn't want to love them because they're so frightfully expensive but yet they are so worth it my they make my hair look better than any other shampoo or conditioner I have ever used hands down you know I was just watching the super models have you guys watched that it's like a little document about Cindy Crawford Naomi Campbell Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista in that documentary they mentioned orb and they showed him the person and I was like oh there's a person behind that brand he was adorable they all seem to love him anyway it was a fascinating documentary and I love this shampoo and they mentioned orb so my mind you know just connecting the little dots okay the other hair product that I finished up is my divines love smoothing perfector this is my Heat Protector SL leave-in conditioner this is kind of the only thing that I really use on my hair um every once in a while I'll put in like a root booster I do that rarely 99% of the time this is the only styling product I use and it just makes my hair also so nice and manageable I love the smell of this love the smell of the orb as well have repurchased do have that won't be without it oh this really is a favorites isn't it okay nope wait I have a fail hold on here it comes this is a supplement that I started taking for my tentis this is called butter bur extract my Dad's friend has tentis and he said he took this and it had to be this brand Piping Rock he took it and his tentis was resolved it cleared up so my dad was like all right I'll try it and then he recommended it to me so I was like all right I'll try it cuz I take after my dad a lot it's one pill a day I took it for six months and my tentis is still here I still here at 24/7 it's still annoying I still try to ignore it but it didn't even go away a tiny tiny little bit so that was a fail I have not repurchased that and then the other supplement that I'm taking is my vital proteins collagen peptide supplement this is a fish collagen this is the Marine One my digestive tract doesn't do well with bovine cow collagen I really love this it doesn't taste like anything it doesn't add any sugars and it mixes really easily in with my morning tea and it's great and then the last thing in here is something that people ask me about all the time and it is my eye drops that I recommend my eye doctor recommended these to me years ago and I absolutely love them I was starting to have pretty dry eyes from overwearing my contacts and things and just getting older and being postmenopausal these have been so great I've tried all the other eye drops and these are the only ones that really really help to keep my eyes super comfortable I put them in morning and night beginning and end of the day and they've just been great so those are the eye drops that I use they're called retain I will link
