all right so sometimes when you're working with multiple objects in blender you don't necessarily want to transform them based on the center of the entire selection so there's an option at the top of the page that you can use in order to transform Things based on the individual origins of the objects so what you want to do is you want to click on the drop down that says you want to click on the drop down you want to click on the option for individual Origins that's going to allow you to both scale rotate basically apply transforms based on the individual origin of each object rather than the overall selection if you do want to transform based on the overall selection you can go back to the bounding box center option in order to toggle this back off
