Train from Paris Airport (CDG) to Paris Center [RER B]

taking a taxi or uber from charles de gaulle is going to cost you about 50 to 60 euros and it can take up to two maybe three hours depending on traffic or the time of the day charles de gaulle has a train station inside the terminal itself the train station is in the terminal 2e taking the train rer from charles de gaulle is going to cost you 10 euros and it will take up just a short 30 minutes so in this video i'm going to show you where the station is how it worked and how to buy a ticket let's go [Music] the train station is inside charles de gaulle at 2e there are three terminals at charles de gaulle but most international flights from the u.s will come in to terminal 2. now the terminals or terminal 2 a b c d e f and the train station is in terminal 2 e now from all the other terminals except 2e you'll have to take a free shuttle to get to the station this is where the directional signs will look like just basically follow the signage to trains once you get close you're going to see sign that says rer b that's what you want to take and that's what will take you in the heart of paris in 30 minutes with your rer ticket you can switch to metro once you're inside paris and take the metro to your final destination you don't need another ticket for that the currency exchange and the atms are available all over the terminal including right by where you buy the tickets the ticket machines will accept coins bills or credit card but if you use your us credit card and it doesn't have a microchip you may not be able to use it because all the machines in europe require a pen now you will be riding on the blue line rer which is line b once you get into paris and you want to take the metro watch our video on how to use the metro we're giving you all the information you need to know the re-rb is going to first stop at gardiner then it's going to go to chat leleau then sent michelle near next to notre dame then luxembourg then port royale then down ferraris row and also site universitail now all these stations are inside of paris the three stations that are the most important is gardiner chaplial and sammyshell because all of these have connections to other trains that can take you to other sides of paris so if you have a long layover in charleston and you want to visit paris without luggage there may be options now because of covid these options are currently closed but i'm sure they will reopen soon so there's a link in the description to just check on it and make sure that that option is available right now because as of october 2021 luggage storage is not available on par you can check with your frequent flyer program and see if they have options in the lounge to sort your luggage but check before you do because paris is not ideal with luggage because there's a lot of stairs and it's not an easy place to move around with a heavy luggage now one is going to be available they offer the per bag storage for three to six hours six to 12 hours and 12 to 24 hours ranging from 10 to 34 euros per bag it might seem like a lot of money but trust me you don't want to be carrying a heavy luggage around paris it's a good option and it's worth paying the extra money so you don't have to chug your luggage around [Music] now i hope you've enjoyed this video if you did please make sure to subscribe and click the bell so you don't miss a thing you might want to check our how to use the paris metro it's going to be very useful so you don't get lost and until next time audra and bon voyage [Music]
