4 Simple Ways to Get to Paris from CDG Airport

[Music] once your flight arrives in Charles de Gaulle you'll be ready to head into Paris but it can be intimidating even if it's not your first time in Paris it's a long flight you're tired maybe not sure about the language and there's just a lot going on so when you get your bags and you're looking for transportation there are four ways to catch a ride to your hotel so in this video we'll tell you what they are where to find them how much they cost and we'll give you a sneak peek at what it looks like inside Charles de Gaulle Airport including signs and information centers so you can travel with ease let's go so this is terminal 2E so most of you are going to come out from right here if you have a chauffeur or private driver they'll pick you up right here if you look right here there there's the sign to go get the train and on the other side there's something that is really cool here is the transportation kiosk where you have a map of Paris and some information and right there this is where you go get the taxi so in Charlottesville as soon as you exit customs in 2E you're going to see a sign just to the right for taxis if there's anybody inside offering a taxi don't take it that's not going to be a real taxi because this is very regulated they have specific pricing to get you where you want to go and it's clearly marked so you'll see places on the ground that tell you this way to the taxi and there's pricing inside outside the signage is all very clear it's nice that they tell you how much it's going to cost you to go where you want to go and the only thing you need to be concerned about is to make sure that your taxi driver accepts credit cards if that's important to you [Music] can Uber you can connect to the Charles de Gaulle Airport Wi-Fi for free and come right outside the doors just across from baggage claim and your drivers will be right here curbside very easy one of the things that you can do on your way to the train station on your way to the taxi and stop at one of those information booth and pick up a map of Paris which has a metro map and a full map of Ferris so you can start planning your day on your way to Paris now let's go to the train station let's go foreign whether you're looking to take public transportation from Charles de Gaulle into Paris or connecting to another major city by train this is the path between baggage claim and the train station inside the airport there are big blue information signs hanging from the ceiling and you're going to look for the word trains on those signs if you're using a luggage caddy there is an elevator just push the button that says trains and rerb to get to the correct level and of course remember that you'll have to give up the caddy and manage the bags on your own before you board the train foreign [Music] station right inside terminal 2E connecting to 2f in Charles de Gaulle and right here is where you're going to buy tickets to take the rer into Paris it costs just about 10 euros so we'll come over here and check that out with you it's also a major train station for the grand lines which will take you to Brussels Amsterdam Leo into the north part of France so let's go see how to buy the tickets for the rer to get you into Paris foreign [Music] a lot of people have asked us if you can buy the navigo easy card to ride the metro in Paris right here at Charles de Gaulle and the answer is yes but you can't get it at the vending machines the vending machines will give you the rerb ticket to get into Paris but if you want to buy both you do that right over here there's an office where you can buy the navigo easy and once you have your tickets it's time to go get the train let's go [Music] once you get here you're going to use your ticket just like you would anywhere in Paris but the thing you need to know is that from this point forward you can't take your luggage cart with you so you're going to have to be able to manage your baggage when you go through to get on the train and this train will take you into Garden or Shuttle Luxembourg where you want to go in Paris now before you go check out our Paris travel guide with some of the best restaurant bakeries tours and transportation options that we recommend around Paris there is a link in the description and that does it for today please subscribe and give us a like if you got value and until next time all as well [Music] thank you
