Immortal grandfathers. TRACTOR WITH CZ 175 ENGINE - START AFTER 25 YEARS What are those sounds? Wait there must be a differential lock Isn't there a differential lock? Wait. He's moaning, I don't think it likes it. In the neighborhood behind the house in the bushes this miracle was found. Homemade four-wheel tractor made at the turn of the former regime. The engine is probably from a ČZ 175 scooter, which was called a pig. All kinds of gearboxes. Interesting front axle it will be interesting to see what it is taken from. So, as always, we'll try to get this machine started. According to the original owner, this tractor had been sitting under a tarp behind the house for at least 25 years... The tractor had deflated wheels so we inflated the wheels and surprisingly they didn't deflate. Time hasn't taken its toll on it, except for the rust. We pushed the tractor to this spot by hand. Now we're going to try to start the tractor Looks like it's the dynamo starter version so we'll hook up the torch and top up the petrol. We need to fix the switch that starts the dynamo starter. If our assumptions are correct, the engine should start after a while. That's the way it used to be, they built a tractor out of the parts they found at home. Looks like the front axle is from a Jawa Minor including the steering wheel. The rear wheels could be the same The engine was taken from a scooter ČZ 175 "PIG" or from a rikša (ČZ 175/505) as Pavel said. I see here a set of gearboxes, probably those that someone in the factory stole. There are steel cable operated levers everywhere. Simple. The battery is a bit bigger but it doesn't matter. The most interesting part of this machine are these tuned exhausts which I like very much these exhausts make this machine more than just a tractor. it is such a sports modification. the exhausts are probably from the moped Stadion. I wonder if when we plug in the battery, the light will come on here. But the key, even if it's rusty, can normally be switched to other positions. Oh no... Okay. let's give it some filtration. This foam was put there 25 years ago or the mice brought it in. Somebody put that foam in there as if they were counting on this machine not running for another 20 years. Now we should have some filtration. The button's jammed. I don't know if this will help. Alternatively, we can disconnect both cables and connect them together. let it sit for a while. Even for the indicator light! I really like this gear set, everything is lubricated. Here's one gear here's a second gear and there's some other gear. Someone must have been very clever to build that. It was built for great power. This is probably the differential lock. For starters a little bit. There probably won't be much or any petrol in the tank. There's a bit of petrol in there but it doesn't matter. The machine won't start with this old gasoline! But now the gasoline is new! But you put two liters in there and two liters were in there! Well, that's one to one. Pulling it should turn the petrol on. The petrol switch hasn't been touched in 25 years and works flawlessly. Do you have a new tube? Oh no... I don't even smell gasoline, I smell some mineral water. It's probably clogged here. Let's open the float chamber. It's not a classic needle float, but it's a completely different system. There's sand, I mean, a piston. The float chamber doesn't work, so you have to pour the gasoline yourself. We could clean it up a bit... Pour a little gasoline into the float chamber and you're good to go. This is a machine that needs two people to operate it, the other one will maintain the gasoline level in the float chamber. The battery's plugged in. Indicator light is on!!! That's not even possible! The light is on so Electricity is fine. That machine and normally ready! The button still doesn't work so we'll have to disconnect the cables. and then we'll connect the cables together, but who knows if that'll do anything. We should turn the engine over manually. Wow, it hasn't worked in 25 years! What else do we need to do? Hey Hey!!! It was already doing something! I'm gonna help a little bit. So the starter is functional. There's something smoldering in here. We have to try it manually. But we're trying. We had this open. How does this work? You need to put this away.. Oh okay. No, you have to put it away when you start. So this is how it works. Does it start by hand or what? You have to kick normally with your foot. Like this? Maybe we should add a little gas. Nothing. Press hard. Is it coming? Or what? Yes! All you had to do was spray a little spray. It spins easier... when the WD spray is in there. Step on the gas. Don't spray too much! You lubed the piston with WD spray that's why it spins better. Another option is to see if the spark works. So we don't have to take the spark plug out, we'll put the other one in. Let's start the engine. And we don't have a spark. Let's put a screwdriver to the hammer, see if it sparks. Maybe it will work. We have to look here. Well, let's use a screwdriver to try and create a spark. I can't see much there. Yeah, it's sparking. Look at the spark plug. Yes, it sparkles a little, but it sparkles. I'll see if the hammer moves. Ok. Spin the engine. This isn't where it sparkles at all. That's where it doesn't sparkle at all. This isn't where it sparkles at all. We have to clean the surface of the hammer. It's gotten very rusty over the years. we need sandpaper or something. Sandpaper I have a piece. I clean the surface of the hammer. If we don't have a spark because of this, it's solved. Let's try it! Look at that. Great, we got a spark! Is that a nice spark? Beautiful sparkle. We need to fix the carburetor. Instead of staying there, the gasoline sprays out. but it can spray out. Gasoline is running low. We'll try to plug it. But there's no air going in there. Ooooooo And they say we're not gonna start it! It started thanks to that WD it wasn't thanks to the gasoline. One more time. Let's go! You gotta put gasoline in there. Okay! Let's see if the engine started with the spray. It didn't start thanks spray. There's no gasoline coming in. The gas isn't running out, we need to clean the carburetor. It's not an original cap, it's some kind of handmade brass cap. The cap is not original, it was probably made from brass in the factory on a lathe. Normally it can't be loosened it's still affected by rust. But if we go to Spain and I take it out two or three times... We're gonna put license plates on it and we're gonna go! Oh no... It will be a problem. I hope we don't ruin it. We have to hit it with something. Maybe it can't be pulled out because the pine needles are stuck in here. Yes yes, you have more power but it doesn't move He's got that power because of that backhoe... and thanks to those sausages. You take this and I'll clean this place up. The carburetor is special not quite so usual. I have a carburetor like that at home and I didn't know what it was for. The hole leading to the nozzle is blocked. It's a nozzle and it's such an unusual location. The idle nozzle is completely clogged. The nozzle is now through. I'm interested in how it works. The foot brake can only be moved a little but it will move. I hope I won't ruin it. This is how driving safety used to be handled. Here you accidentally stick your hand in, the chain pulls you in and grinds you up, but the tractor keeps going. Air nozzle, on a carburettor this is a very important thing. You can see the sediment from the old gasoline. I'm sure we could find on the internet how the air should be set but we set three-quarters of a turn that's kind of standard. There's a lever that goes into the gearbox and it's all working. That's unbelievable. Everything is rusty but functional. This is probably the differential lock I tried pulling on it and the spring moved and everything works. I don't know what it is exactly. Everything works, even the handbrake, look! It can't be taken off it just grew in there finally. Ohhh, wow... i think... I don't think the gasoline can flow through a hole that isn't actually there. We need something to clean it up. He uses WD or konkor spray on everything. Those are two alternatives but one alternative is the same as the other. Don't you want to use wire? I'd like that. Go. He doesn't want to go so he's doing all the concor spray, it's unbelievable. The easiest thing to do would be to allow it and unscrew it. Here's the strainer! So that's luxury! And another nozzle or valve sieve it's a beauty they really thought of everything. Oh, it's so obvious that the gasoline couldn't have flowed through there.. Take your darling and work! And what good does that do? You don't want to do it with a compressor? Yes, but even before that, you have to dissolve it with something the screw is loosened with a wrench. Look how it's coming out of that hole. According to Pavel I have lubricated it and it works this time. The throttle was stuck, so the engine kept revving high. It should work. The throttle goes down and the clutch does too. The brake's probably not working, but we don't need it. And here this was the hand throttle lever. Here you set the revs and drove for example you plowed. but the handbrake is functional, we will be able to brake. So guys now we'll see that the gasoline is flowing. Replacing the hose Cleaned carburetor We didn't have to deal with the fuel switch, so I start the gas. I plug in the battery. And the gas is flowing! Ladies and gentlemen now it comes! And nothing. I guess it's stuck in there again. But it was running without electricity what is this nonsense? That's a bit stupid. I disconnected the battery, but the engine was still running. You've got it tucked in all wrong. That's weird it should go lower but strange that the engine was still running. Is it ok now? Yes. I'm embarrassed, but it was because I misplaced it so it didn't shut down and we were still going full throttle. So let's do it! Second round! Step on the gas. I already like the sound of this one! It might even hold the idle. You're missing the shifter! Let's try to get the first meter! Into the groove. Into the groove. A little further. It's going!! Ejjjjj. R!everse It will go! Good! Come drive it! Did he have a higher gear there now? I will shift gears! You have a 2nd gear there, but I don't have a shifter here. The cable disconnected!!! 2nd gear! It is not possible. We may have shifted into 3rd gear and lost the shifter. Do you know where we lost it? We lost the shifter at the beginning, it will be in the yard. The engine must run even without the battery! Why? The engine must run even without the battery! The battery is only here to start. But the battery's there for the spark, right? It's already charging... Dynamo is already running... You're just riding this machine and there's a cable just hanging there. We have to find a neutral. Shift lever. First gear Really? Yes! We'll go to the former owner to tell him that nothing is lost! With a cultivated start. Come on! You can! Step on the gas! Come on! We went back to the original spot and that's where the machine stood in the thicket. We go to ring the bell, but no one answers yet. For the second time we saved the gear lever! Here's a trick here... that's the luggage compartment... here are the tools. This is for tightening the exhaust and then you can tighten the exhaust. We're ringing the bell and he's not here so we have to go home. We come here tomorrow, now we'll just take it to the garden. Bye. It's a great ride! Well, we probably won't be going to Gibraltar with this machine, but we could certainly plough with it. If the gears weren't popping out it's fine and functional. The chains really rattle. We have to fill the gearbox with oil It rattles. We need to lubricate the pins. The steering is stiff you have to hold the wheel with two hands or you won't turn. Again, it turns out that you just need to see if there is gasoline flowing into the carburetor... And after twenty-five years... great. Until today, we have only tested factory machines. Today, however, it was a home-made machine. And the great WD spray did a great job. When the others see us old guys driving this scrap around the village, they must be tapping their foreheads!
