Toyota Tacoma Hidden Features!

what is up you guys my name is akram and in today's video i'm going to be going over things you may have not known about your toyota tacoma let's get right to it [Music] all right so one of the first ones is going to be right here under the steering wheel where it says if you press once it'll come up radar ready which is the normal speed radar that keeps a distance between you and the car in front of you you can set however much you want to do that by pressing this button over here and then if you press cruise control off and this time you hold it now it'll say constant speed control ready so this right here is like your traditional you know cruise control unlike the new speed radar you can actually have the option if you want both next one is going to be traction control i know some tacomas have it right here on the left side and some also have it right up here in the center console mine is on the left side so what you're going to want to do is there's three options the first one is obviously just normal traction controls on the second one is if you press it once limited or it says auto lsd on and it's limited slip differential so i actually did a video on this and you can click right here this banner video that i did between how a truck would compare normal and how a truck would compare with auto lsd on and mine's a 2x4 i don't have a 4x4 or anything like that so it honestly surprised me and it did a great job anyways the third option you can do with this is gonna be holding it when you're in this position and you can see right here is gonna turn on traction control off so what this is just gonna do is it's gonna turn off traction control turn off limited slip differential and now the truck is just gonna move all two wheels in the back constantly without stopping or without you know connecting to each other one going one stopping it's just gonna continue going and this can also be useful in different situations as well next one on the list is to be right here located on the left side of the driver's side and you just press this the the rear bed light on the on position and when you actually turn off the car it'll stay on for about two to three hours and i usually leave this on myself when i'm somewhere i don't like or it's not super safe i leave it turned on and it'll look like you know the truck is on or at least someone's in the car or there's a light and people won't really usually come close to a car where's the lights on and i really like this future and i just leave it on when i get back in i turn it off and obviously it won't affect your battery and it won't do much so something about locking and unlocking your truck when you turn off your truck and you're getting out of the car and you leave and all the doors are closed and you forget to lock your actual truck it will not automatically lock by itself but if you if your truck is off and you approach your truck and you unlock it but you don't open any of the doors after that the truck will automatically lock itself next one is going to be twisting your odometer reset button counterclockwise what this does is it is it dims your actual like whole screen area as you can see right here it dims it as much as you keep twisting it and you don't actually twist it all the way but you just twist it like kind of one click and keep doing that and you can actually turn up the brightness as well more than what it's originally set to alright so the next one here is going to be going into your settings on menu and going down to vehicle and going down to vehicle customization now from right here if you click on light settings you have a whole bunch of options one of them is having your headlights auto sensitivity you can set it to whatever you want the next one is auto headlights timer off i have mine at 90 seconds which is the most you can do it because i really like the way my honestly my daylight running lights look and my fog lights do as well so i want to keep those on when i walk away and then they turn off by themselves and daylight running lights right here the setting is right here for it and then the interior auto off timer this is how long you can choose when it turns off last one on the list is gonna be just messing with your overall settings i really recommend you guys to go through them something that i just found out was going to my door lock settings and you can actually pick if you want your doors to lock through your speed maybe it's if you go over 25 miles an hour something like that or when you shift to park i have mine when i shift from park to drive obviously it locks and then vice versa it's going to unlock but i really recommend you guys going right through all your settings super fun you know i didn't know
