Touring the Shed I Built For My Predator 9500 Generator (also see update video)

so I want to give a brief overview on the generator shed I designed and built for my Predator 9500 this is completely hand built by me from my own design um so as you know the 9500 is a closed frame generator so it has its own exhaust fan as you can see over here we've got um generator sauce and then this is actually from the generator's exhaust fan and you'll see uh that connection inside and because of where those located these are actually the doors are on the corner um you can see I have an intake here there is one on the other side also and then coming out the back I have another one of those where you can see the uh power cord comes out of there and then on the back there is a supplemental cooling fan in case it starts to get too warm inside the shed so we attempt to lift the lid this thing is about a hundred pounds this is all 2x4 construction but I do have struts to assist there you go um as you can see I've lined everything inside with the mineral wool safe and sound insulation so mostly this is for sound dampening um you see here I will unlock so if two things to hold pull the doors together that one locks them in that door's open to the sides and again you can see everything's got the the insulation um I do have the generator chained with a heavy duty chain to an eye bolt I buried in the concrete when I poured the pad and then you can see the other intake um and then you can see there you've got the cord coming out to the gym um so here's how I did this is the generator exhaustious extended out I just used basically B venting and actually cut discs from concrete backer board there's a whole series of them that that rides in inside that then this is how I did the generator exhaust if you can see I cut a hole in this plate and I bolted that to the to the generator and then this is just magnets you can see although this is a four inch Stark collar with just a metal flexible like dryer duct it just clicks right there fence it very nice you can see there is the supplemental fan for cooling it is tied to this temperature sensor so if it gets too warm the fan will kick on to help cool a little extra and I just have a hook here for actually hanging the cable when it's not in use so the backup a little bit you can see the the whole thing so right now we've got the Gen running the house as you see I use a general link connection uh right now about two and a half kilowatts of load so I'm gonna close up oops the Gen we'll see how it sounds closed up [Music] so that's it from the side there's relatively quiet the moisture hearing does the healthiest dog back up about 25 feet relatively quiet I'm still running about
