Touring the IRON MAN HOUSE in Cape Town! Most Expensive Holiday Rental in South Africa.

tour Penn Gilly house you may know it as the Iron Man house a little bit about the property it has six bedrooms fully ensuite 10 bathrooms and you can rent it at 300 000 Rand a day we are here in Clifton on the slopes of lion's head and I'd like to thank in Residence Village for bringing us out to Cape Town to get this on the market for you guys let's start the tour foreign [Music] foreign [Music] all right guys we're going to start the tour outside on the driveway behind me beautiful views over the Atlantic Ocean and down below you can see the security heart with the security beam leading up this lovely interlocking brick block system which continues onto the property we've just crossed the line onto the property we've got a driveway for uh parking for a car over here to my right and a service entrance up those steps and just look at the beautiful Granite on the facade of this property absolutely Exquisite look at the size you can see the exposed cement as well and I love the block case Windows which we're going to see from the inside but we can see them from out here as well and they're lovely and just the views let's continue I love Cape Town I love being back in Clifton heading up to the main entrance of this beautiful home so right in front of me we've got a very large garage which houses 12 cars and to my left over here I'd like to bring this up now you've got two staff quarters down this way they are occupied today so we're not going to have a look inside but they are down there two fully furnished ensuite staff quarters and look at this beauty for glass entrance way I think it's time we step inside and so stepping in to the entranceway beautiful foyer lovely marble flooring throughout this area to my right firstly you've got to the concierge office and below me is a lovely Stone feature including this one over here with the gold plated and led inside so it looks beautiful at night time when you come into the home LED mood lighting above me you've got copper paneling to my left which is really beautiful leading to the garage and as I mentioned it is a very large garage but we don't have access today coming this way beautiful Bilal wooden cladding wraps around the spiral staircase in fact it goes all the way to the top which we will continue to see in the tour and over here we've got one of the elevators this elevator serves four levels and the other one on the other side which we will see later in the tour serves three floors and over here the last little bit I want to show you on the entranceway is the home gym but we are going to see that later when we see this bar all right guys I think it's time we take the stairs come with me stepping up onto the first floor of the home this is the entertainment level along with the guest Suite wing but starting here White marble flooring continues you've got elevator access over here and just like the staircase kind of continues and spirals we're in the middle of it right now and the Bilal wooden continues as well and on the roof above and the Beautiful staircase and this is what I wanted to show you is the floating suspended marble staircase design so each of those marble pieces are suspended and I think that's just beautiful beautiful architectural uh Ingenuity all right guys so stepping in this way these are sliding pocket doors and over here we've got the bar situated perfectly in the middle of the cinema room in the spa and the outside entertainment area it's fully equipped and it's got beautiful barsing on the other side which we'll get to in a moment coming this way we have the guest water closet through this door very nice in here very spacious perfect for your guests to freshen up moving on out you've got some shelving and over here the Bilal wood again around the cinema space lovely seating area very cozy and these are the encasement Windows which we saw from the driveway and they're tinted because this is supposed to be nice dark tranquil space more quiet more Zen and the polished concrete so throughout this area you've got the polished concrete which is beautiful and it keeps it really cool in here as well I love these multi-folding stacking doors which I've opened up for you to see and this leads straight into the home Spa there are three pools in the home this is one of them and of course it's heated and if you want to take a look inside showing off the luxury you've got a beautiful polished Pender and slate marble just Exquisite and I love how they've even wrapped it around the cement pillar going right into the pool I mean look how beautiful This indoor pool is incredible and outside over here a Jacuzzi beautiful little jacuzzi the bubbles are off right now they were on earlier I don't know what happened to them but again you've got the polished Henry slate marble coming back inside over here to my right we have a sauna and it's definitely on scorching in here oh my goodness just like oh my goodness it's really hot in there beautiful beautiful song I've got to get out guys nice seating over here the belau wood is just continuing it's just a perfect match with the polished cement it contrast beautifully and again you've got the polished penrin slate marble shower steam room got the shower over here a lovely steam room as you can see these amenities are large I mean how many people can you fit in here quite a lot and again same again for the sauna very very large and this hallway leads to a bathroom for the pool area just a water closet and uh floating pan as you design the mirror backdrop but this hallway does wrap around and leads back to the staircase as well which we will show you moving this way out of this beautiful Spa area I mean how nice is this to have it right off of your Cinema room got the beautiful bar seating just perfect you can imagine sitting here having a cocktail bombing because of course this home when you rent it you can get all the concierge services we will list them on the screen for you because there are many to go through but yes you can get a Barman to come in Shake you some cocktails sit here enjoy the spa go outside beautiful uh stacking multi-fold doors again and look at this view this is what you come out to little fire pits decking chair it's rather simple up here of course the main deck in Garden area is upstairs which we'll get to but still even here I mean it's incredible Table Mountain Atlantic Ocean beautiful sunny day I think it's about 30 degrees in Cape Town today that's Celsius not Fahrenheit because I definitely wouldn't be wearing this for 30 degrees Fahrenheit amazing and this balcony is shared with the guest wing of the home which I think we should go back inside and walk over the glass bridge and take a look come with me now this is really cool a suspended glass bridge over the driveway now that as you can see there are plenty spotlights above which shine down on the cars supposed to the cars are supposed to be a feature of course um but we haven't done that for you today but look how cool this is over here is another entrance that goes up to the Garden second entrance for your guests and this is the guest wing just a lovely flow in this house look at the ceilings can you see how they curve just like every element you've got the mood lighting as well and let's step inside the first guest Suite stepping into the room immediately greeted by the ocean views to my right you've got the full wall of built-in wardrobes with a lovely black glass finish and bed right in the center solid wood headboard design built in really beautiful I got this jute carpet which is very unique I haven't seen that in a home yet but I can imagine it's very durable and also it's very boho it's beautiful got your TV there with a little Cabinetry below you've got your smooth polished concrete which is lovely keeps it nice and cool and this is the ensuite bathroom you've got the water closet to my right of course you've got your rails floating marble vanity design walk-in shower with a rain shower head they've got glass above learning in the light mirrors I can see the sky it's amazing a lot more do you want let's head on out doors open all the way sliding doors we've got the Slate flooring again this is the balcony which connects to the bar more decking and over the here is the other guest Suites but we're going to go around the hallway and have a little look at that head up stepping back into the hallway heading to the second guest Suite I would like to just bring this up now these foot lights are Center monitored which are Super handy then the only common when someone comes by stepping on in the jute carpet again and it's an exact reflection of the guest feet which we just saw we've got the built-ins to my left sliding door balcony access can hit birds chirping in the trees just over there expanse of the Atlantic Ocean it's so beautiful I love it the solid wood headboard design built in walk-in closet really cool in here it's just luxury you got mood lighting the water closet over there uh single vanity design walk-in shower with the rain shower head above and this beautiful natural lighting flooding into this space all right guys let's head out of this room and check out the remainder of the guest wing stepping into the hallway coming back down and over here to my right we've got another guest powder bathroom very nice inside and so now I'm actually stepping into the guest Wings Kitchen open plan with a formal Lounge area to my left beautiful Cabinetry and a desk this is the other elevator I was talking about it is accessed through the staff Porters below this is another Spiral Staircase which goes up and this does go up one more level which we'll see later another surprise of the home and look how beautiful it is here moving this way beautiful kitchen countertop it is a gray lightweight composite design it wraps all the way around and let me just step in here to show you all the Cabinetry that you have and you've got the dishwasher the fridge and the freezer the melee built-ins and the coffee maker and all the other bits you'd need because remember this house is very large and if you were to rent it you'd probably come with quite a few people maybe even two families so you could have two kitchens it's perfect it's ideal and nice opening here with the sea views moving into the formal Lounge area of this space beautiful Furnishings again the colors match perfectly with the polished cement that is around in the walls and just look at these views absolutely breathtaking all right guys I think it's time we go look at the gym downstairs and then head up to see the Iron Man inspired Lounge area I'll see you there all right guys welcome back to the gym let's have a look inside come with me got your rubber mats again all the equipment that you can imagine that you'd find at a regular gym it's lovely air-conditioned in here very cool mirror backdrop which is great and a full bathroom single vanity design water closet and a walk-in shower all right guys that is the gym and now it's the moment you've all been waiting for it's time to check out the main living area the Iron Man inspired Lounge I'll see you up there [Music] thank you [Music] all right guys welcome to the main level and the pool deck I want us to go this way first check out the main living area to my right we've got a beautiful indoor plant bed with two gorgeous indigenous trees they go all the way to the Skylight above and on the back we've got a live wall because the vines are actually growing up the exposed cement and the wrapping around the marble staircase which we're going to see a little later when we head up the stairs to see the primary bedroom suite all right guys the main event let's step into the beautiful formal Lounge open plan living area with the kitchen look at these windows Iron Man inspired window design absolutely phenomenal the natural light that floods in and the overhang of the cement giving privacy and shade into this area it is gorgeous it's beautiful design and I love the exposed cement on the ceiling the polished columns we have here the Furnishings go lovely with it it's just such an amazing area imagine hosting people here sitting back looking at that view and on the other side of these windows is actually the pool and this pool actually wraps around this entire space just making this one of the coolest lounges we have ever experienced so let's head back up here and check out the kitchen first you've got the informal dining area right in front of it you've got a very large fireplace inside a beautiful cement column and the most important room of the house guys you know it it's the wine room they've got other liquor in there as well and it's perfectly situated next to your bar and entertainment area up here now let's take a look at this Exquisite kitchen firstly look at this beautiful wood it's rich in color it's called okumi it's an indigenous African wood and this is a lovely marble it's a light Alpine Dorado marble it's from Portugal it's been polished beautifully and set inside this lovely Black Mirror design two black mirror columns with the black mirrors above this is epic Chris what do you think of this kitchen this kitchen well probably the best one we've toured on the channel yet so far I think so I think this is definitely well the best is you're dealing with it at the same time I mean it's got your built-ins as well um of course and of the there's the chef kitchen so like it has everything you need which gonna we're gonna see in a moment and I've just got your sink here fridges your stove top tons of Cabinetry beautiful bar stools on either side that just match perfectly with the house and look at this view I mean oh my goodness I love this I love this home all right guys let's see the chef kitchen you've got a walk-in fridge very large island for Preparation two sinks you got two microwaves two ovens built in you've got another oven down here gas top stove tons of Cabinetry everything a chef would need for whipping up a very large Feast for you and guests and of course it comes with a service entrance which we saw back down in the driveway which is perfect for your linen to come in food and services annual Chef to come in and out it has its own space to make you food all right guys let's whip around and head back into the oven plant area so I want to I want us to see the powder room before we continue lovely guest Pottery smells beautiful in here um you've got your single vanity mirror backdrop and again beautiful marble this is also that lights Alpine Dorado marble but it's not polished so it's rough it's a granite marble and it's just beautiful okay guys let's head out of here now I'm just going to take us across here quickly this was the lift where I came out of and the pillar column that it sits in and this is the staircase that I want to show you this would lead down to the entertainment area that we were on earlier and it would lead up here so I wanted to show you that in context of where we are and this door also leads out to the Garden area but we're not going to go up this door we're going to go around to see the formal dining room and head out the doors over there come with me all right guys so beautiful long dining room table a polished wood set in a great location in the house it's next to the live wall the kitchen's just over there and everyone at this table has beautiful panoramic views oh it's so bright I just need to put my sunglasses on lovely marble top here so imagine you can serve food here your Chef your waiters your staff can have plates ready to go and the exposed concrete design is just fabulous oh this is air conditioned it's fantastic all right guys now let's step on outside come with me look at this we are in Paradise right now Pinnacle of luxury living and I want to just take us all back here besides looking at the view which you can never get over there absolutely breathtaking every single time I love Cape Town right on top of the ocean I can hear the waves crashing from here so we're on the mountain hear the waves crashing and now let's look back at this beautiful facade and take note of The Gorgeous architectural design that went into the building of this house so it was inspired by the architectural designs going on in California in the late 60s and 70s with the modernistic open space designs that they first started introducing to homes I don't know I'm looking at this and I'm seeing futuristic I'm seeing Iron Man I'm seeing Tony Stark where is he it is futuristic they've managed to blend it so they've the architect brought it into this entry in Cape Town and they've blended it they've sculpted it around the mountain and added in all the modern features that you'd expect to see and just the luxury finishes so yeah it is super modern um very futuristic I can't wait to show them what they haven't seen yet so even like they've put some of the boulders that would have probably found during the construction of the term and thought you know what it's a brilliant idea let's put them in the garden to just like emphasize we're on a mountain and this is built into the mountain unbelievable and here's the pool that we saw from inside I mean look at this overhang just incredible it's it is futuristic it's like a a ship I don't know like a spaceship I guess that was like the Iron Man house very very cool let's head over to this Lounge have a little look at the outside Lounge beautiful finishings obviously top quality you've got nice barbecue area over here you've got your firewood beautiful vegetation you can hear birds tweeting this staircase just leads up to little shaded reading Nook that's the staircase which we saw by the guest bedrooms on the guest wing on the second floor and again another Pool an infinity edge pool you got a little informal space over here deck chairs you've got your umbrellas up look at this pool it is beautiful I want to get in there so I'm telling you now the camera wasn't rolling I'd be jumping in that pool without a doubt it is amazing actually you know what this is the I know I keep saying it but like this is the most beautiful infinity edge pool I've ever seen look can you see the bird walking along the edge looks like it's like walking on the ocean can you get that on the camera that is so that is so flipping cool oh my goodness and of course it's heated although why doesn't why would you even need to hear that it would be nice if it was just fresh um because it's like I think it's like 32 up right now but yeah I think you came from like six degrees to 32 so yeah I just landed today from London I like literally landed this morning and came straight I freshened up and came straight to the house so I came from about six degrees in London yesterday she got them playing got out the plane and I'm like 30 degrees I'm like properly schmitzing okay outdoor shower lovely wrap around marble and it really is an outdoor shower you've got to see above the it it actually opens up it's very cool and it's private now this is cool another surprise stepping over James Bond so we had like Tony Stark over there this is like a James Bond style outdoor chill area a full bar barbecue station formal dining area completely enclosed you've got disco lighting you've got your infinity edge pool again with the uh really beautiful Granite Stone look at this Lounge Skyline above what more do you want this is epic look at this look at this yeah look at the beds they're enjoying it the birds are loving it they're loving it as much as us oh I think there's infinity edge pool has my heart if you're gonna if you're gonna run a luxury blue in Cape Town this is it right no that's this I know we've got an incredible lineup this week I'm excited to see what else we're going to be looking at but for me this is a cherry on top here in front of me this is it this is it this is what my dreams are made of yeah yeah for sure that's cool all right so think that does wrap up this area that's just another service entrance let's go down to the staff Portage you've got your pool room generator rooms this is I should definitely point this out the lift does come up to here from the other side so that's the second lift column I'll just step down into the bar to give you some context we've got one two three four five bar fridges one of them is a double fridge an ice machine pizza oven barbecue station over there sink this is amazing I just I think I just live here okay all right but it doesn't end let's go upstairs yes there is an upstairs to this space the lift doesn't go there but we're gonna walk around I'm gonna check out another two guest bedrooms all right guys I'm coming up the stairs to see the two bedroom suites and of course to my left you've got the Footlights leading right into the bedrooms decking area outside and the stunning Granite Stone again right let's check out this room first come with me you've got the jute carpets beautiful bed facing that ocean which we're going to get out to the deck in a moment it's encased in a very nice dark mahogany wood and you've got polish cement around leading right into the ensuite single fantasy the mirrors slanted just going with the architectural lines of the house you've got a window here again super cool and a walk-in shower with a shower head water closet all right guys let's go outside the doors open up and look at this again these bedrooms have this Wing this deck for themselves and again look at the view can't get over it it's absolutely beautiful got this is the Skylight perfectly safe to walk on obviously that we can see the James Bond style hangout area below lovely proteas again look at the architectural design very unique and you can see it on the roof there you made like this folding of the cement it's amazing how they did it I think they spent about 10 years building this property just so you know stepping on in straight into the second bedroom ensuite up here again with the jute carpet you've got the polished cement the beds right in the middle facing the view encased in the mahogany wood design and you walk down into a beautiful ensuite walk-in shower a shower head above window here water closet inside there and single vanity floating design all right guys so this does end this wing of the house and it does finish up actually with the floor below and now I think it's time to go back to the kitchen take the stairs up to see the primary bedroom suite I'll see you there [Music] thank you right guys welcome back to the landing area by the lift let's head on upstairs to see the primary bedroom suite and just walking up the staircase completely reminds me that we're on a mountain surrounded by Nature it's obviously two beautiful trees to my left but most importantly are these vines that are growing up the wall I mean look over time they've grown all the way to the top and they've actually wrapped around the stairs even around the stairs it's very good a lot of nature I gotta love it and I think the cement was a great choice cooling effect beautiful Skylight above as well and there's a lot of LED mood lighting strips in all the grooves in the ceiling that's phenomenal lovely artwork but before we head that way just wanted to point out there is an office down there but it's the owner's office we don't have access to it today and this would constitute the sixth bedroom of the house but we don't have access to that today either because it is currently occupied however head is heading this way we get to see the most important room of the home lift access ends here on this side making it four floors all right guys let's step on in to the beautiful primary bedroom suite lovely pivot door opens up into this ground space the bed is right in the middle of the room it's the centerpiece looking out at that view there are two doors that open up leading outside to a private Deck with the most insane views in the world coming around this way beautiful Furnishings I want to point out the lovely feature above Black Mirror design with the LED mood lighting inside perfect for night time and I love that this is encased in a really cool what would you call this what is this shape some futuristic kind of shape that's it and that's it and then you've got the mini bar over here with a fridge tea and coffee um and of course you can make yourself a little night cat before lovely built-in walk closets as well and of course you've got the fireplace beautiful feature surrounded in the copper heading on in to the ensuite to my right we have the walk-in closet really beautiful in there with the Skylight above just bringing in that natural light which is perfect and look at the size of this bathroom water closet to my left double vanity over here with this mirror backdrop these are cupboards that open up we've got our floating bathtub as well and look at this walk-in shower with two rain shower heads this door opens right up too guess what the Atlantic Ocean put on those glasses later I need them I need them and you know what I think I've got the cream on today Chris I'm gonna be looking so red at the video tomorrow I look like a tomato all right so here's your deck sun lounges little seating area imagine waking up here with the bed right there looking over this ocean making espresso which is behind come outside sit down have a cup of coffee head downstairs maybe there's a nice smoothie waiting for you very nice the possibilities are endless all right guys just a couple more features I want to show you on this level below me you've got three skylights which we would have seen in the lounge below and above me is a beautiful architectural design again just making the house look so futuristic alright guys that does end the tour in this level and I'll see you downstairs [Music] [Music] foreign guys that does bring
