Top 5 Must Have Exterior Mods For Your Toyota Tacoma

[Music] how's it going everyone welcome back to the tacoma beast channel where it's all about the taco on today's video we're gonna show you guys the top five exterior mods for your toyota tacoma [Music] the first product we're gonna talk about is cbi's t3 front bumper we have the short center grille guard they do offer different styles so you can have it without this center grill guard and you can have it with full protection so it can also protect your headlights i definitely recommend you guys at least get the short center grille guard out on the trail we were distracted we didn't see a ditch the truck just fell right into it and we hit it right here and here and thanks to that our entire grill remained protected there's two reasons why you might want to get a front bumper that is looks and the actual functionality of it so as you guys can see this bumper has a crazy angle that's going to allow you to really tackle on crazy obstacle that the trail has to offer you're able to mount the stock fog lights which i don't recommend because the mounts are made out of plastic and they will fly out the way that ours did definitely go with an aftermarket good fog light heretic studios are working on a new set make sure to stay tuned for that up in the front we have an option for a 20 inch light bar we're rocking hertik studios 20 inch amber light bar this thing is sweet to help us cut through the fog when we're on the highway or out on the trails and last thing for the front bumper is the ability to hold a winch to save either a friend or save yourself when you're out on the trails the next product we're going to talk about are skid plates we're rocking cbi's full skid blade the front and the back the cool thing about this is you can work your way up you can get the front and then you can get the back as you guys can see i've been sliding on this thing for two years now it's almost time to powder coat it again i do like this kind of rusty look but eventually i do plan to powder coat it now the reasons why you want this if you're going to be wheeling or if you're going to be sending your truck is to protect all the components that are under here when i had the second gen i totally ignored this and i almost blew out my oil pan in the middle of nowhere it would have been crazy and it would have sucked if that happened now another thing that we got to talk about is these bolts right here you just unscrew them and changing the oil becomes a breeze so definitely recommend you guys get skid plates for your trucks now it's time to move on to the next product the third product we're gonna be talking about is sliders so we have cbi's 3.0 bolt-on rock sliders with the kick out these are extremely easy to install they bolt right on you might need a friend's help but other than that they just go right on there's a few reasons why you might want sliders functionality looks and protection so these right here are awesome because you're able to climb directly onto your roof rack you know you're able to access anything that's up here you're able to walk around your entire vehicle and your feet is not sliding all the time now you have a rooftop tent you're able to also play around with it from your sliders now getting inside your vehicle is also extremely easy now let's talk about protection when you're out on the trails there's going to be huge boulders and a lot of obstacles that you're going to be overtaking you want to make sure that those things don't ding your door panels or scratch them could you imagine how much you would have to pay if your door panels get dinged hit scratched you name it having rock sliders right here is definitely a must and then for looks these things look incredible you're also able to get top blades for them i decided not to go with that i like the nice hybrid look and then i love the distance the cbis chose they're not sticking out too much they're not a low profile where it's like right here and your feet is going to be sliding onto it when you're trying to get on it's the perfect length for the fourth product my favorite cbi's high clearance rear bumper with the dual swing outs i love this thing so take a look at how much we cut off the bedsides and look at how much clearance you now have you're not going to be hitting your hitch when your truck is really going up a hill the clearance is going to be there for sure now let's take a look at the back of this thing really cool thing about this is you have the hitch hidden right behind the license plate my favorite the dual swing outs so here you're able to mount jerry cans you're also able to mount roto packs back to back and you're able to add a high lift on one door on the other door you have your emergency tire now let's go ahead and open these so your up comes down let me open this door a little bit more and now you have two doors one on that side and one on this side one less thing to take when you're going out camping tables i usually like to keep my grill here i put my two pans i have my food cooking here in the meantime i'm prepping my food cutting it up doing whatever it is that i need to do here and then have more space to add more things right here i definitely recommend you guys don't go with the single arm just because you're adding so much weight to it you're adding your emergency tire that thing is heavy and you're adding the jerry cans plus the high lift with the dual swing outs you're now splitting that weight in half and for the fifth product an overland bed rack so we have cbi's overland bed rack this thing is so sweet and they did such a good job at matching this product with the rest of their products everything looks so good together so the reason why you might want to get this is because you're now able to add a bunch of accessories all around for example we have recovery boards on this side we were able to mount our chase lights we mounted two one on this side and one on this other side right here and for this long road trip we mounted two four gallon rotor packs right on this side look at how nice that looks it looks really good with the truck now you have the option also to add a roof top tent and this thing will be able to hold it no problem another reason why i added this overlapped bed rack is because you guys notice we have the deck system so this system right here look at how much space it took away from the actual bed of the truck we have a lot of things in there so i'm definitely not taking that thing out but i also wanted to add more things on top of it by having the overland bed rack i'm able to protect all those products from not flying out of the truck on gnarly turns on the highway or whatever it might be if you hit a rock on the trail things are going to be moving and things are going to be flying out here they all stay nice and protected with those five products you're turning your tacoma into a swiss army knife multiple functionalities you're going to be able to tackle on any obstacle that the trail throws at you and you're going to have an absolute blast with the dual swing outs when you're camping now it's time to talk about the bonus product but before i do that out of the five products that we talked about i definitely recommend that if you had to choose one as your first one you prioritize on the sliders if you're gonna be going out wheeling hitting the trails go with the sliders then go with the skid blades and then you decide if you want the front bumper the rear bumper or the overlap bed rack that's up to you depends on what you're going to be doing for the bonus product we're going to be talking about the prinzu roof rack this thing is so awesome if your truck is completely stock and you add this thing it completely changes the aesthetics of your truck and it makes it look so badass not to mention it's like a lego piece you're able to add a bunch of things to it you're able to play around so that it works for you right now we have the rome adventure cases up here we're hitting the pony express trail and we needed a lot of space everything that's in here would have normally been inside here so thankfully we have these two cases up there we also have a shovel that's about it for this road trip normally we have a 72 hour box along with a water tank and like i said you're able to play around
