We Build an Overland Tacoma in 4 days | Price Breakdown

what's up guys welcome back to the channel today's a really big day for us we've been really excited what's gonna happen man today's a day the winner hector finally is gonna show up and we're gonna start building out his truck up until this point we've only spoken with him on the phone we're gonna completely get his strict CBI equipped we found out that he's a military veteran and we'll be adding some extra products and we're also going to be doing a price breakdown of all the products you know everything that it takes to basically build your board and rig make sure to stay tuned [Music] [Music] we are super excited for this I mean we started way back in in June so June July August we were promoting this awesome giveaway truck transformation somebody was gonna win and it's finally come I mean I thought honestly it'd never come seemed like it was like it you know half a year away when we first built our truck I asked my dad to help me through the long drive it was like twenty nine hours and we drove all the way from Miami up here to CBI and in that same spot I experienced the whole thing I saw my truck get built in three to four days and I was just like someone out there needs to experience this this truck is gonna go from a basically bone-stock truck to a fully bill off-road capable machine alright guys I just got a text from Hector he says that he's here let's go meet him what's up dude good to see you man I see you yet [Music] Hector hey I was right crazy let's get your truck built where is it right over there I left put it inside thanks for coming this room hey who'd you bring with you here is my son Elijah hey yeah yeah I just finished getting here and this is the longest drive I've ever done before 15 straight hours longest ride I've I've been on the ten-hour Drive definitely a new state I've been to as well you've never been Idaho no I just met Hector and his son Elijah such cool guys but try really cold dudes basically I had only spoken with Hector through the phone he did send me the Instagram username so I didn't know how his truck kind of looked I knew that it was really stock besides the Overland bed bars that he had and his tepui tent this the truck was basically stock so I knew that he was definitely gonna have a blast coming here and they they had a long haul 15 hours of a drive is definitely a long one we can't wait we're ready to get it pulled in the garage here and get going on it do the bowling let's get her in let's go to rude [Music] so we found out that Hector is a Navy veteran and we want to do something extra for him so Mateo and I got together Tacoma BC bi and Prince ooh and we got BFG tires involved they donated a full set of five ko2 tires which is way awesome some to 85 75 Seventeen's and then icon alloy stepped up and they donated a full set of wheels so we got the wheel tire package and then Dave from heretic he came through clutch with with the lighting so we got a 40 inch light bar for the roof rack a 20 inch light bar for the bumper and then some Quattro's for the fog lights and some ba 2's for the ditch lights so that was really cool of her tech studios to do that BF Goodrich icon wheels you guys are awesome for helping us out so we're really excited to announce this to Hector we saw that you were a military veteran and we decided that you know to thank you for your services we're gonna be giving you a suspension system Nate tell them what else we're also gonna add a brand new set of BFG tires and icon Holloway will soon as they told me about the extra products that I was receiving I was like oh my god no freakin way Oh Mike this is like way better you know I would have been happy with the parts that were already you know displayed on you guys the site but when you guys started telling me about others other things and I'm like oh my god this is crazy I go I can't believe this you know these guys are top-notch [Music] [Applause] [Music] guys next to me I'm here with Mike he's gonna make sure that this entire process goes smoothly you guys have seen him in CBI stories even in other videos as well right yeah we've been quite a few videos we do all the install videos and everything you installed everything on my truck and everything went smoothly man let's do it for the lift we're gonna be installing Eibach's Pro truck lift system basically for five hundred ninety five dollars you get the front shocks rare shocks and 700 pound coils this allows you to have a front bumper up in the front you get an add a winch with no problem and you get the option to set it at three levels you have your stock height mid level and then a 2.5 lifts halation is extremely easy once you've selected where you want your height to be you just put this here you put your coil and then the top hat and you're good to go you install this should arc the same way it came out we're going to show you guys the process [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] haibach life just got installed it raised the truck 2.5 inches up in the front now we need to go to the back and lift the back as well there's three methods of doing this you can completely swap out your entire leaf springs you can add blocks or add a leaf for this situation we're completely swapping out these leaf springs for the old man EMU it's gonna raise the truck about an inch in the back [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] we start doing the installation and when we open the box we come to find that there's no bushings and this is really bad because this is just gonna slow us down we've got to get this this project done we only have four days to complete the project and we're right in the middle of installing the suspension and we don't have the bushings to finish the rear leaf packs anything that I could come compare to to see if I could match them up is all alright okay well I'll probably try and stop by and see if I can can match them up alright thank you so I'm gonna see if I can go run over there and see if they have some so Mateos scrambling I'm scrambling everybody's calling around we're trying to see if there's a local shop that has them there's place in Rexburg we're hoping we can maybe get him well we were not able to get the bushings so now we're really starting to a boost I'm crazy to see that just a pair of bushings is really gonna slow us down I could tell Dave maybe he can get something from there yeah he said that he can come up here tonight he can probably get here on eat okay got to get that works for him let's let's just do that and then that part okay sounds good okay hey Dave so I just spoke with the team and they're saying that we wouldn't I mean the shop closes at 5:00 so we wouldn't really be able to work on it tonight but what we could do is get everything set up so that first thing in the morning I mean we can crank all the light set up we'll have the roof rack ready for you that way the 40 inches we're good to go would that work for you okay so we just figured out our bushing problem Dave from heretic studios he's coming up to install the lights on the truck and he found some bushings in Salt Lake for us and he's bringing them so disaster diverted I think we figured it out we're just waiting on Dave now so we can have the bushings to finish the suspension so Mike just finished installing the old man emos on one side we're waiting for the bushings to come in on the other one we did remove the shocks we're gonna be installing the eye buck ones but we can't do that until we receive the bushings we're just gonna wait for it so we're gonna move to doing the sliders next [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] alright so we just finished installing the Rock sliders these are the bolt on Rock sliders with the kick-out they do come powder-coated so this was powder-coated and it's the HR e W option right here you guys are looking about nine hundred and fifty dollars up next we're gonna be installing the Prince suit cab rack this is for a dual cab so the prices you're gonna be looking at is six hundred seventy four dollars let me tell you something this thing is so badass I mean even if you don't have wheels tires nothing your truck is just completely stock and you add that Prince refract it completely transforms the whole aesthetics of the truck it just looks so badass and it's it's almost as if it was meant to be there [Music] and I Hector so we just installed the Prince Uche brag on your truck just looking at the cab rack I mean what do you think looks badass looks really cool right yeah I think is the whole aesthetics of the truck it looks more yeah yeah especially once you get everything on so look really nice really nice does that mean it kind of look mean man yeah so guys it's time to close shop tomorrow we got to keep working on this piece [Music] stay tuned for the install Minister arriving to CBI's headquarters yesterday we hanged out with Dave he drove three hours all the way from Salt Lake City he brought us the bushings plus all the light setup that's gonna go in Hector's truck let's get back to that install it's pretty good dinner Dave from her tech studios drove three hours from Salt Lake City Utah to basically save the day he brought the bushings and he's gonna be installing all the lights that are gonna be going on the truck man yeah you saved it dude happy to for the leaf springs for this specific setup it's gonna be five hundred and fifty dollars [Music] now it's time to install her dick studios lights tell us a little bit about what's gonna go on yeah so we're gonna do our 40 inch light bar in the princi rack so that's gonna give just a ton of light I mean it's gonna be awesome we're gonna do some of our ba to pods on ditch light brackets and then in the bumper we're gonna do a 20-inch with an Amber lens and a couple of our Quatro lights to be fog lights though that 20 inches absolutely my favorite on my favorite like dude when it gets really foggy it just shines right through man yeah it's gonna be awesome and the BA 2 is a really low profile you know clean ditch light and it's just it's a great really popular light cool let's get to it awesome [Music] they're just phenomenal if you guys know heretic they make a super solid light bar very original and very high-quality we're running them on our Tacoma our 2019 TRD pro Tacoma and we love them one thing I really like about heretic is they are a very quality built light and I really like the color of their light the white is just a perfect color temperature install them about a year and a month ago and so far had no condensation problems the light output is absolutely insane [Music] we're about to install CBI's new over that bed rack this is not even out yet it will be soon and it just looks incredible we've totally redesigned her bed rack to accommodate all kinds of mounting solutions we've strengthened it in the way that we put it together in the way that we gusset it so you can really load it down not be afraid to really tack on lots of accessories [Music] and then the other cool thing is we're offering this bed rack in multiple heights so as a question we were always getting we're gonna have a cab height and a roof rack height bed rack and it should solve everybody's means we're way excited we're pumped that Hector's gonna get it you'll have to check it out as far as the cost goes ballpark you're looking about $1,200 it all depends on the setup you decide to go with you can go with steel aluminum well the time has come we've done part of the build already suspension and a few items but we want to have a total surprise factor for Hector so we're kicking him out all right man so you've seen most of the build yes now it's time for us to start cutting the front we're gonna put the rare four to install the Hyperion's rear bumper unfortunately man you won't be able to see this until it's done giving you the keys to the van so you guys can go explore Idaho Falls and as soon as the truck is done you can come and check it out man yeah matera just told me how to leave the shop and it's gonna burn because I was like I was totally excited just watching the crew just build my ride but probably do a little exploring around Idaho tension is in a build up I won't be able to sleep on that so we just sent Hector away he did not seem that happy was kind of disappointed he was having a blast with us here but you know it was gonna he's really gonna be surprised when he sees the final result - time to get the bumpers on start cutting some plastic and finalized the major transformation items on this truck [Music] [Music] all right guys icon wheels just got here let's take a look at what they sent us [Music] guys ready nice we didn't know what will they're gonna be sending but they sent us their brand new vector six wheel in flat black it looks so awesome [Music] so right now we're gonna send the wheels and tires to get mounted and balanced and continue to work on the front end of the truck [Music] we're ready to put the front bumper but because of the short center grille guard we won't be able to install the headlights once the bumper goes in so right now the next step is to install the new Spyder sequential lights these are freaking amazing let's get these installed [Music] alright so we just finished installing CBI's III front bumper with short center grille guard you guys can already see the truck is starting to look extremely badass I love this front end and how it currently looks price for this is gonna be a thousand three hundred seventy four dollars now it's time to install the skid plate and from there we're going to the back [Music] so the skits just got installed these things not only look incredible but they can really take a hit when we go in on adventures or go out on the trail and sometimes you forget you have all the armor and or you get a little carried away and you banned yourself up a rock just hear that bangle through the entire frame you're like oh snap I really messed up you get out to go check it out and you see that it just landed on your skin and it's perfectly fine nothing's wrong these things are solid right now nathan is working on the decal and we're also going to be installing the wheels and tires [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so it's time to start cutting the rear bumper this part is freakin awesome you guys are gonna see sparks are gonna start flying everywhere [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] all right so we pump the long-wave in a lot of things have been installed we definitely catch stuff what are we where are we sending it now so now we're gonna go over to the patch shop we're gonna do our body mount chop make sure these tires clear perfectly and fit perfectly on the truck and then some details on the rear bumper knock that out we're on the homestretch man Tech there should be good to go back to California 15 hour drive oh he's gonna be stoked let's do it [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] I just got news the truck is done getting its body mount chopped all we got to do is put it back in the install Bay install the high clearance rear bumper and we're ready to present this truck to Hector [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so we just finished installing CBI's high clearance rear bumper with the dual swing outs these come with the tables as you guys can see on each door and for this setup right here you guys are looking at two thousand seven hundred dollars [Music] so from a couple days ago when we kicked Hector out he's coming back today and he's gonna see the total transformation this truck truly looks totally different we've got wheels and tires on it we've got bumpers on it bedrock roof rack it's all on there it looks phenomenal I can't wait to see Hector's response boy I woke up I wanna sleep like what time I go see first team chuck hagel honesty and I try to get in comfortable I couldn't do this on my mind I'm like what's I can't wait you're excited yeah I've been been waiting since Florida more you look so good you look amazing we're good to go all right let's do this already let's go check it out man four solid days of waiting that you love I totally agree man so here it goes [Applause] um you know just amazed what you and CBI just intuitive to the vehicle and it's awesome I didn't expect it to be this badass seems like stuff again it means beautiful total transformation total I mean experience for both me Nathan and Hector really it was the first time that we really did this man and you were that random guy that just got picked out of the pile how do you feel so excited it's unreal I'm like so it just believed that I have this struggling from basic truck to super truck that's exactly what what I was trying to get out of it I wanted you to experience what what I was able to experience at CBI and yeah and I'm really happy to hear you say that because that means that we did a good job on making you get that experience yeah I mean still just kidding what a pleasure to
