when it comes to exotic styling and supercar looks there are plenty of pricey options out there but if you want to steal the show on a budget well there's really nothing that can beat a good body kit these niche cars are usually made with a unique fiberglass or sometimes a more expensive carbon fiber exterior design which is then assembled onto an affordable and surprisingly mainstream car they can fool people into believing they're so much more than what they're truly based on and sometimes they can even perform much better as well the custom builds industry has really been booming lately as more brands begin offering transformative and creative re-body kits to the enthusiast community so in today's video we'll be helping you out by taking a look at the top 5 exotic builds which are actually body kits underneath the first car on our list is the all-electric gte it's sold by a california-based startup called draco motors a new brand that just unveiled the gte as its first model during the 2019 pebble beach concourse de la guanse it features a simple yet surprisingly effective design with slim lights fluid body lines and a prominent rear diffuser the draco gte is powered by a quad electric motor setup which creates a unique and dynamic all-wheel drive system and produces a whopping 1200 horsepower and 6490 pound-feet of torque not surprisingly with these numbers the top speed is rated at well over 200 miles per hour for this unique tesla killer but take away its fancy body styling and powerful motors and underneath you'll find the gte is something else entirely many eevee enthusiasts would be surprised to discover that the draco's chassis is actually barred from a much more mundane model the now defunct fisker karma while the karma was a visually exciting car its low performance and poor build quality failed to sell when it's first introduced in 2011. i actually reviewed this model a few years ago and commented on the various flaws that made fisker's ev offering a total failure yet it's now surprisingly proven to be an incredibly capable donor car for draco motors to build the gte on with the crash structures left entirely untouched draco was able to bypass many of the costly tests required for the gte to be road legal plus the instant torque and accelerations has helped put this model in a class of its own sadly the price is just as high as the performance numbers production is limited to 25 cars which are being offered at 1.25 million each if your body kit budget isn't a cool 1.3 melee the next car on our list is a far more affordable option the ceno design future sports kit completely transforms the exterior of a normal toyota 86 sports car into something far more exciting and exotic the body kit opens up the front end of the 86 with a massive splitter wide intake and cooling vents and an aggressive shark nose the carved hood reveals an open engine bay window proudly displaying the modified toyota 3s gte 4-cylinder underneath the rear of the future sports kit retains a lot of the stock styling cues but widens and simplifies the design for a more eye-catching form and of course that huge wing the interior is more weight conservative and track oriented with its roll cage and bride bucket seats saner design unveiled this beautiful kit at the 2019 tokyo auto salon and is currently listed on their website alongside a few of their other products such as this gorgeous sd1 mazda miata kit and this carbon fiber wheelchair that looks well uncomfortable at best mr m sano founded this japanese tuning brand years ago and has been creating custom art cars ever since although they're still relatively unheard of here in the states the future sports 86 is probably their most well-known model and definitely one of the coolest body kits on our list things make an abrupt change with this next body kit for enthusiasts who want mid-engine german engineering paired up with a distinctly unique design the vex poses an interesting offering it's produced by a california based car shop known as galiardi designs which has been selling high quality custom builds for the last 17 years nowadays they have multiple original designs with exotic styling offered at an affordable price the vex starts at just forty five thousand dollars and for that amount you'll get a sleek fiberglass body with a removable hard top led tail lights and 20 inch aluminum alloy wheels with such a wild and supercar inspired exterior it's surprising that the gagliardi vex is assembled onto such an affordable donor chassis it uses the common porsche 986 and 987 boxster models as the base of the build a car that can be picked up for under 10 grand this makes it not only one of the most surprising body kits on our list but also one of the cheapest car number four is another unique offering it's the rossi 66 this retro rebody was introduced in 2010 and was assembled onto the c6 generation of corvettes it clearly takes a lot of its design inspiration from 60s vets and offers a truly stunning mix of modern and classic elements the new body includes a fantastic split window rear design chrome bumper guards and an all new interior it uses the corvette stock windshield plus a and b pillars but the rest of the body panels are all replaced to create one of the most eye-catching corvette inspired designs of all time the only caveat is that rossi motors listed the 66 at a jaw-dropping 130 thousand dollar price tag given that the c6 corvette already looked pretty good in its stock configuration it was hard for a lot of enthusiasts to justify that price but for those few die hard vet fans who needed a gorgeous retro look on a modern performance platform the 66 is hard to beat the rossi 66 is definitely a great example of american muscle made pretty but if you prefer dodge drive trains this last car on our list may be more your style vlf automotive was founded in the year 2012 and is named after the initials of its three founders villarreal lutz and fisker henrik fisker joined the company in early 2016 and was a key part in conceiving the force one supercar with his past design experience at bmw and aston martin the brand's lineup currently consists of three models but the force one is by far their most well-known product although output was initially slated for 50 models only five force ones were ever sold making it one of the rarest cars on our list the body of this vlf is all carbon fiber leading to a beautiful and lightweight track machine it features 21 inch wheels sculpted hood contours and six key cooling vents on the front henrique also penned in a pair of ultra thin laser blade tail lights in the back but decided to leave the exhaust outlets in their stock position which gives a strong hint to this car's unique identity the interior is reskinned as well and given a more comfortable design with rich colors and soft materials yet underneath it all is the chassis and drivetrain shared by another popular exotic that many are familiar with the force one is actually based on the fifth generation dodge viper this donor vehicle gives the force one its powerful 8.4 liter v10 which is tuned for 745 horsepower with it the car should be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 in three seconds and reach speeds up to 218 miles per hour a bit of the viper's attitude also shines through the force one's athletic stance and exterior proportions yet many enthusiasts are still surprised to learn this classic freedom machine resides underneath the attractive body which of these niche exotics did
