in amateur boxing and as a professional after only 15 fights it was already considered by many pound for pound the best fighter on the planet rainy day boxing brings you the unforgettable moments in vasily lomachenko's career the guy's a machine the guy has no conscience the guy has no pulse the guy sees everything in a slow-motion way where everything else is moving too fast for the mere mortals if you know someone who hasn't heard of a silly lomachenko the perfect fight to show them is his dominant performance against ramulo koasita i mean the usual one-sided bout showcased his stunning footwork impregnable defense and blinding hand speed [Applause] [Music] [Applause] again he steps by him and look at this look at the way he moves making this guy miss he's just sitting there just you know kind of speed bags him and then sets down a one or two punches after realizing the durable mexican slugger wasn't going to be taken out with shots to the chin the man they call high-tech redirected his thudding blows to his opponent's [Applause] core [Applause] i think he's a decent fighter we're talking about koci oh yeah i mean he's been beat up in this fight and then finally the body shot and down he goes [Music] [Applause] very smart vasily lamachenko left with the gold medal after conquering the 2009 aiba world championships winning prestigious tournaments was something he did regularly throughout his amateur career but in no other competition did he show such dominance with all his opponents scoring less than two points in each bout vasily made the world elite fighters look helpless including future world champion oscar valdez [Applause] [Music] it was another captivating performance from the ukrainian talent although his opponent had over 50 fights with only one loss it was clear from round one he was no match for lomachenko's dazzling footwork and combination punching [Applause] he snaps that right jib he hits you hot with the left hand i mean it's incredible lands a million punches you know either hand he's just i'm just like a little business fight and then all of a sudden he's willy pepp in this fight he's a combination throwing pressure fighter he's a power punching pot shotter and then all of a sudden he's a fleet-footed escape artist and he has hurt periopinio again with a body shot reflexes are super quick just hurt sean return again as the fight went on it looked like facility was on his way to stopping the challenger until in the middle of the fight he injured his left hand twice with the right hand as if to say see i can beat you with one hand my unanimous decision vasily lomachenko the world series of boxing is a competition where amateurs represent their country's team against another country's best fighter in semi-professional style bouts the best boxers in the world are recruited for a country's franchise and every time they pitted their fighters against lomachinko they were in for an unavoidable beatdown tremendous accuracy [Music] for the first time he was competing in five round fights and without the protective headgear but the change in rules seemed to only benefit his style of fighting as he finished with a record of 6-0 having difficulty finding featherweights willing to fight him vasily moved up weight to super featherweight he immediately challenged wbo champion rocky martinez
