look at all these people behind me man I love Shibuya I wanted to share with you today in this video the top things I love about Shibuya [Music] Shibuya is my home I love this place I've lived here for such a long time first things first let me show you where to meet in Shibuya when you're meeting new friends so this is Hachiko this is where everyone meets but living here long enough you learn that it's not best to meet a hot chick or because it gets you busy what you can do is actually go just right here and you can meet at the green trend there are even seats inside and this is another meeting place I actually prefer this more than anything because it's actually the ROTC scrambles and I usually hang out on this side of sugar anyway and one more thing you can see it and hanging out on the second floor of Starbucks and watch all the people going across BAM [Music] number one scramble crossing up to 3,000 people cross ramble at one time it's crazy right it's pretty cool watching that many people cross from above be sure not to miss it this sends a guy just right across scramble crossing number two sent the guy this is one of the busiest streets in the Shibuya area there's always something to do here it's a really good ramen shop owner called Ken den mutton next to that there's an Okinawa restaurant there's a fried chicken spot cut open for when you want to sing shoe store in case you want to buy some shoes and this cool little skewer shop in case you're feeling a little meaty and sometimes you might want to go check out McDonald's because they have very unique Japanese only menus yup there's a lot of restaurants and cool shops on this street isn't it awesome [Music] this is a yoga party this is one of my favorite places in all of Shibuya because there's always so much to do especially on the weekends number three your yogi Park every weekend there are events but just so you know food salts are not the cheapest and cash only if you don't want to spend too much pick up some food and drinks from the convenience store and just enjoy the park this weekend it's al Qaeda festival there's a bunch of different stalls all based on the Hokkaido area well I guess I'm gonna get my Hokkaido seafood on today that side was a little bit busy because of the festival so came here just eat it's a lot more peaceful the park actually has two sides one side is like the festival side and here is like the open Park area there's just like lots of kids and everything running around let's try this oyster so creamy you sometimes just really watery this one is really really creamy oyster very good we also got crab scallops and grilled Unni try out the loonie this is another part of yogi Park that I really love it's just the actual Park in trees place the people that go running here there's people that picnics here there's people just doing yoga here it's just like a very very peaceful place it gets really busy on the weekends but it's almost like super super quiet during the weekdays and there's a cool fountain as well and as you can see like wall behind me there's a lot of people picnicking this is one of my favorite parts about yoga part the basketball court there's actually a tournament going on this weekend which is pretty cool it's called all-day tournament and they have all these teams from all over Tokyo battling for the ground of all day champions it's pretty awesome yeah we're gonna win but most importantly go check out Paula's Channel [Music] number four conveyor belt sushi so this is my favorite sushi place in all of Tokyo the fish is so fresh and one thing is there's always a line here so you gotta come early so if you come during lunch you want to come at least around 11:30 or a little bit before that if you come during dinnertime then you want to come here on five 5:38 elevators at that or you're gonna be waiting my favorite is being toto because it's cheap and it's good and it melts in your mouth but we're also gonna try this sushi with golden and let's see how it is check it out I got gold flakes in my sushi we got negitoro uni tuna and we'd also have salmon roe you could uh let's see what the gold tastes like tastes like my life [Music] so bird so fried chicken taste honey it's like all of the flavors bursting inside of your mouth the ordering system here is pretty easy it's foreigner friendly all you need to do is write down the number of what you want to eat and give it to the sushi chef at the counter or just pick up the sushi from the conveyor belt easy look at this it looks so good the price of each plate is shown in front of you and if you're seated at a table you can order on the touch panel [Music] [Applause] [Music] number five shopping this is mega donkey if you're looking to do some souvenir shopping this is a place that I recommend and you can find anything from kitchen supplies to hardware to little toys for kids everything that you could think of is here one thing to note though at the discounted shop so the layout of the store is very claustrophobic they also have a good selection of sweets and candies to bring home let's go check it out this is way cheaper than the airport check it out my boat this is my favorite and they have a variety pack to look mini hamburger and mini sushi we can make you look ugly yucky it's even got grown-up toys it's like a little mouse next door I recommend for souvenirs is Tokyo hens so this place is a lot bigger than Don Quixote a lot bigger and it's actually has a larger selection very like select a random goods that are high-quality if you want to get something for someone that you really like maybe this is a good place to shop also my girlfriend Michael said that the cosmetic blowers here have a fantastic selection especially cool face masks to bring home it's supposed to make your face small but it looks like the Jason mask actually this one looks more like the Jason mask so I think what you do is you put this in your mouth put this in your mouth there's vibrates Oh looks like he made you joke but this it's a fish postcard okay it's very almost like a rubbery that's like a tatami mat check out these fabric markers I think I'm gonna get them and make some t-shirts well at least Michaels gonna make some for me because I'm gonna try to go around and trying to find t-shirts that I like here Willie find them so we're gonna make a run [Music] if you haven't found what you need I took your hand and definitely check out loft because they probably have it and if you're looking for something really cheap check out Daiso because it's like a hundred yen shop pretty good for getting souvenirs for someone you really don't care about now let's talk about my kind of shopping electronics so this right behind me is the Amira dinky it's an electronic store also known as Lobby I usually come here to buy all of my electronic goods because they have a huge selection probably one of the biggest selections here in Shibuya let's try this out it's a pal it's good for your cheeks oh wow you can really feel it if you do get tired you can come to the second floor of your mater dinky and get a fifteen minute massage for free do you want a heated toilet seat you can get one here and bring it back home how cool would that be if you can't find what you're looking for at yamada dinky big camera is your next bet they've got a big selection as well this is like the main big camera store for just down there it is actually an extension shop that's just maybe 10 meters down whoa check out this selfie drone that's pretty badass I forgot they even sell alcohol at the electronics store it's awesome they even have luggage at the electronics store amazing now Apparel's shibuya of course also has global fashion stores like forever 21 and H&M but don't forget to check out the Japanese brands this is shibuya109 are also in Japanese called e team attitude one thing you'll have to note is that it's predominantly female clothing so you're not gonna get any men store here here you can find Japanese God who fashioned popular among teenagers so if you're looking for something more affordable but still Japanese Uniqlo is a place to go now there's places all over the world where the Uniqlo is my go-to affordable high quality good stuff this is Hikari a it's one of the largest department stores here in Shibuya but it's actually known more for a lot of its nice restaurants and has some of the shops here are quite expensive but you'll find shops here that you don't find in a lot of other places cool look at these sandals awesome look at these little purses so cute right charger for your phone if you do have some time definitely check it out but one of the things that you should definitely check out is the view let's go upstairs and check it out [Music] it's probably the best place to hang a picture you can see that there's likely people already there number six niku yokocho if you want to have some dinner and you want to do a very Japanese kind of dinner then niku yokocho is your place it has a bunch of different restaurants all on the second floor of this building behind me Nika means meat in Japanese and yokocho roughly means side street there are 26 izakaya restaurants jammed on this floor and mainly offering me dishes to go a copious amount of alcohol here you can enjoy an aqua coaching kind of feeling which refers to the old skinny bars back in the day for the Red Lanterns at the entrance as you can see crowds here are quite young and friendly number seven love hotel Hill surrounding the nightclub area there are a whole bunch of love hotels you won't miss them the hotels look innocuous during the day but at night you'll see the flashing lights look Hotel lie this is love hotel Hill ap get tired at night this is a good place to go and if your hotel is not that close so we just got kicked out of the other place because the owners got mad at us so so we're gonna do it from here instead so you can choose rest or stay when you're staying here at night rest it means you're only gonna stay for a few powers we're if we're gonna stay it means you're gonna stay all the way through the night until the morning definitely not a hotel in the sense where you can like continue to stay and leave your baggage because you're gonna have to check out in the morning no matter what usually they only allow couples in if you can't actually bring a group of people so don't try that if you're trying to save some money with you and your friends number eight clubs so after a long day you still have some energy and you want to go out all night and party this is one of the places I recommend it's called vision it's predominantly EDM music unfortunately we won't be going inside and so you'll just have to take my word for it but let me show you another place [Music] this is moved this is another EDM club some people say it's a lot better than vision this is a very hidden place it's really hard to get to it's actually hidden behind all of the other clubs and it's in the kind of a residential area so when you're here you actually have to be very quiet or the neighbors complain but worth checking out if you can find this place so all of these clubs look really small from the outside but in fact they're really big because they're all underground one of the reasons are they're underground is because it prevents the noise from traveling to the neighbors around this area because it's such a crowded place but once you go inside they'll find out that these places are two or three sometimes even four floors [Music] so this area here is Shibuya z-- clubbing Street right now it's fairly empty because we're here during the middle of the day at night this place is completely packed so just right behind me you have Adam next to that you have Harlem and just over there you have Asia if you're into hip-hop dance or break this is the place for you and so this is Camelot it's pretty much like a dance club but will you'll find is that there's a lot of younger people here probably people are here in their early 20s it's actually a pretty fun Club it's a few floors out of all of the clubs I'll introduce you this is probably one of my favorites [Applause] number nine game sinners VR park Tokyo it's an awesome place to just like play games and there's a virtual reality place just on the fourth floor they have to put it kuta games UFO catchers have everything that you would want to do it's pretty awesome [Music] number ten Nome Bay yokocho aka skinny bars so this is cheb Lea's little bar secret this street is called anime yokocho and it's a bunch of small bars all lined up it's pretty cool you can see behind me that there's people just filling the streets but it's very very intimate in these places they can only fit about six to seven maybe eight people inside one of these bars this place is a little bit different than a golden guy in Shinjuku it's less tourist trapping you can find that a lot of these owners are very very local and the prices are quite affordable if you want to check out some cool more trendy bars here in Shibuya then I'm
