hey guys welcome to my channel Tokyo Foody Sarah where you can explore Japan with a Japanese local in today's video I'm going to be showing you nine things you can do around Shibuya station and the theme of this video is if I am going to take my friend around this area these are the nine things I would make them do and eat so it's like a one day itinerary for you if you have your favorite things to do in Shibuya do let me know in the comments below okay so let's [Music] start [Music] welcome to the heart of Tokyo where every corner tells a story and every street Echoes with the Beats of Modern Life Shibuya an area bustling with energy fashion and food is our stage today from the Loyalty of Hachiko statue to the mesmerizing views of Shibuya Sky get ready to explore this amazing area with an itinery curated by a local who considered Shibuya her playground during her middle and high school years yes I actually did number one snap a moment with Hachiko our first stop is the legendary Hachiko statue located just outside Shibuya station this statue commemorates the touching tale of a loyal dog who awaited his master's return every day long after his master had passed away the queue might surprise you but it's a popular spot for paying respect and capturing a moment with Hachiko Tokyo locals don't usually take photo photos or videos with Hachiko so this was my first time capturing it on video number two dive into the Shibuya crossing sea next we plunge into the pulsating heart of Shibuya the iconic Crossing as you navigate through the Sea of people remember to stay vigilant to avoid bumping into others with the popular Taya Starbucks currently under renovation we're seeking out alternative spots for that perfect bird's eye view the inokashira line exit and the 11th floor of the hikara shopping mall offers stunning viewpoints of the bustling human tide number three gaze over Tokyo from Shibuya Sky ascending above Shibuya Sky unveils breathtaking vistas of Tokyo Skyline tickets can sell out quickly so booking in advance is wise I secured my slot 2 days ahead but the only available time was during lunch hours also it's 300 Yen cheaper to book online remember there are lockers available for your bags you're only allowed to take your phone outside oh my God it's so nice up here be prepared for a wait if you're aiming for those Corner shots so windy and it's so cold while some may debate shya Sky's value for me the panoramic views were absolutely stunning and well worth the visit oh the view is stunning but it is super super windy oh my God but it is very nice it's so worth out [Music] here don't forget to check out the cafe bar and the souvenir shop before you [Music] leave number four Savor the twist with suken Shibuya culinary scene is bound to imp Press today we're at Maya Masashi buot giden indulging in some exceptional noodles here you can choose noodles with black or red sauce or even without sauce you might be familiar with Ramen but tuken is a whole different experience it's like ramen's cousin where you dip noodles into a rich flavorful broth halfway through you can alter the flavor with chili flakes at the end don't hesitate to ask for dashii a broth that transforms your sauce into a comforting soup number five uncover Treasures in Shibuya sent guy re-energized we delve into Shibuya sent guy a vibrant alley briming with shops restaurants and entertainment whether you're out shopping or just enjoying the vibe tenty is a true essence of Shibuya life while in Santy I highly recommend you spare a few minutes for the puura experience it had been a decade since my last visit these photo sticker machines let you take photos decorate them and then print them out as stickers reflecting on the amount I spent on these as a teenager brings back so many memories okay let's go so it used to be 400 Yen when I was like high school middle school but now it's 500 yen not too consider the infation oh look why [Music] are [Music] [Music] B the results are always amusing with your eyes appearing twice as large and your face significantly Slimmer oh my God this is so funny look at my eyes it's so weird oh that's also here I can make my eyes even bigger oh oh wow oh ey Shadow oh my God oh my God look at that who is this that does not look like me but the entire experience is just fun especially when shared with friends that is the end result and you do get more stickers but I'm just showing you the ones that looks funny so look at that my eyes are so big and surely it does not look like me but the experience is fun and why not try it whilst you're in Shibuya number six go shopping shopping is Shibuya is an adventure in itself from the youthful and trendy 109 building to the shik Selections in hikara and Shibuya scramble to the luxury brands in saber department store there's something for every taste and style number seven chill at a cafe now it's time for a coffee break Shibuya is briming with cafes but I highly recommend Valley Park stand located inside the sequence hotel or the rooftop of miash Park I visited during Peak Coffee hours on a Saturday and couldn't secure a seat on a warm day consider taking your coffee to go and enjoy it in the rooftop garden that brings us on to number eight shop and Stak up the Sun at masita Park miash Park a shopping complex that opened in 2020 is our next stop the Highlight here is the peaceful rooftop garden offering a refreshing Escape within the urban jungle I filmed an entire video at this spot with my friend Mash a few years back if you're curious make sure to check out that video after this one Link in the description box to our OG subscribers drop a mash in the comments if you remember this cool dude number nine Feast at niku yokoo for our final stop we venture into the bustling alleys of niku yokoo an indor gastronomic Paradise for meat lovers with its vibrant atmosphere and a diverse mix of eies niku yokoo offers an authentic Taste of Tokyo's dining culture our last stop today is the nikoo and this is actually the place I always bring my friends whenever they come to Tokyo and I take them around in shuya at Niko you can choose to dine at any restaurant there are so many restaurants and a lot of staffs try to get you into their restaurant but you can just walk around and choose your favorite one and I found this place which does happy hour for 29 Yen per drink for limited drinks like high ball and like you know tea sour and stuff like that um and other drinks are 190 y from 5:00 p.m. till 700 p.m. so yeah I got my 29 Yen highballs cheers to the night I walked a lot today and in terms of food they have like normal isaka food as well as beef tongue and they have meat sushi so that's great isn't it yeah I'm going to see what I want and I'll order some I hope they're [Music] good here's the wagu tataki oh my God that looks so good here comes the meat Sushi and look at that I ordered carb and there's so much fat on here I'm going to get rid of that and have it yes okay you guys it's been quite a few minutes and I've had one glass and a bit of highball and I know I look red but don't comment on my red face anyway I got my meat Sushi and it looks very shiny and very fatty as well let's try this m that was very chewy it tasted nice but the texture was very chewy and it never disappeared let's try this one
