hello everyone my name is Blake aka and today we're discussing the top 10 things to do while you visit here in Maui Hawaii now I get this question asked all the time for friends family people have watched my youtube videos nasty blink why visit Maui what should i do to ensure I have the best time now no better way to find out them from a local someone else born and raised here like myself step a little bit this way to show a kind of montage to kind of prove that on my channel I've literally done everything from the jet skiing to the ziplining to literally anything you could possibly to and Maui Hawaii I've covered it in my vlogs but these are my top 10 things to do the matter how long you're here be here five days a week maybe two weeks maybe a whole month if you could do these 10 things I can assure you you have an awesome time for you and your family maybe it's just you while you visit here in Maui Hawaii now I'm going to suggest you stay to the end of the video because some of these things can take all day now some of these activities only take an hour so you kind of want an impact what you're gonna do depending on your time here in Maui Hawaii so definitely stay till the end of the video now let's get to our top 10 hey start for this we have Kaanapali Beach now Kaanapali Beach is one of my favorite beaches in my opinion and I'm kind of bias about it because it's the beach I grew up at but it's been consistently voted in the top 10 beaches in the US and for very good reason apart from having a beautiful white sand beach some with a great story clink and with the famous cliff jumping spot Black Rock the views are freakin incredible you have a beautiful view of the island of lanai and Molokai tee across the way is hands-down one of my favorite beaches I definitely suggest you go there first potentially on your first day of your trip because after traveling in jet lag it's definitely a very good way to kind of cure jet lag in my opinion a great way to start off your trip so to start off number 10 is Kaanapali okay next up on the list we have French Street now French Street is located here in my hometown here in Lahaina and lejano is actually the capital of the Kingdom of Hawaii from the years 1820 to 1845 meaning as a very rich history of Hawaii so when you go down first you're gonna know it's super old whaling town it's super cool it's kind of where all the nightlife of restaurants the shops art galleries the museums it kind of has a lot of history of Hawaii right in that general area it's not just like a built-up town its kind of our downtown here in Maui and I definitely suggest you check out Front Street if you want a good meal if you want to buy anything at a the shops but I she's kind of where everything's at from the bars to the nightlife like I said earlier it's it's definitely if you come if you come to Maui you gotta go to French okay next up on our list we have is visit the island of Lanai now the cool thing about when you visit Maui is you'll notice you can't miss if it's your first time here there's a bunch of islands off the shore there's the island of Molokai lanai KO hole love it the crater of Molokini and by far my favorite in my opinion to visit and what I suggest you do is to visit the island of Lanai you can just take a boat over to it you can take a catamaran or be more adventurous what I would suggest you do is go with Maui ocean adventures because there's only two or three boats I can do this you can take a small boat around the backside of the island and explore all these spots that the other tours can go to but if you're not on the more adventurous side take a catamaran over or take just take the the ferry or something over and go hunt there go off-roading over there you can go skeet shooting there's a lot of activities to do on the island of Lanai and it's just it's just a cool experience in my opinion that you need to take a boat over go to a different Island have a full day there and come back and you never know why you're traveling the waters doing your snorkeling and things like that maybe some dolphins will start following your boat and you can get some footage some photos and some dolphins that's always so island of Lanai definitely definitely try to do that I suggested okay next up on our list is go to a luau now this is kind of an obvious one but when you go to a luau you can kind of learn the history of Hawaii among getting food and having a show from hula dancing to fire dancing things like that but all of the walls are kind of different here so this is just my opinion the favorite one in my opinion is the feasts of lately well I've been to them all it's just with that one you have the fire dancing and they bring you your food and drinks while the other Lodge guys get up now I'm gonna sound super lazy and like privileged but you gotta get up and get your put the buffet and things like that and well if you're drinking and you're drinking a lot getting up isn't always the easiest thing to do well the visa letting you out at the end of French street 505 is definitely my favorite but it's a ton of other get on it's just do your research go to a luau and enjoy yourself okay this next one is McKenna peach aka fake Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches and white sand beaches here in Maui in my opinion it's a lot like come on a poly Beach but without all the resorts without all the people it is on the south side of the island Pass GA and the white layer kind of area pass way oh really and there's also this little nude beach on the opposite side a big beach that you can go through a little more adventurous but it's a beautiful beach if you plan just to go swim and just hang out on a soap beach beautiful view of a whole lot of and Molokini across the way from it big beach makena one of my favorite beaches it is on the south side of the island so if you're staying on the west side the island definitely plan to be traveling for over an hour and the same goes to if you're gonna be staying on while aoki east side of the island and you plan to visit kaanapali beach if they're about an hour away from okay next up on our list is kind of an adventurous one but it's a lot less scary once you actually do it and that is to go ziplining there's a bunch of zip line tours here and personally I've only done two of them have done the Kapalua zip line and the Kaanapali zip line and both are great in my opinion there's a bunch of other ones I haven't had the opportunity to try but I think it's just really a good way to kind of see the island and see the valleys and do some outdoorsy thing without having to do too much hiking you think it's why I do the battery but you know that was dope oh wow look at that for you it's just a really good way to kind of I don't know do something fun get some adrenaline pumping and just have really good memories and photos things like that so I definitely suggest going ziplining definitely some of my favorite zip lines I've done across the world are the Kapalua and the Kaanapali zipline here in Maui Hawaii ok this next one is a big one it is the road to Hana now this is one of those that you have to plan a whole day around it's gonna take you all day the road to Hana is it goes through our rain forests here in Maui it's along the east coast of Maui it's over 64 miles long of just winding road but that wine you bro you're gonna be seeing waterfalls just off the side of the road on your left go into the road the highway you're gonna see beautiful coach you see coastline you gotta do it but if you have the time to want and need and desire to do something dope and really want to experience and see a rainforest you have to do the road to Hana but but if you can't wrote sick like if you actually get rode sick just know you will get rode sick on this trip so if you get rode sick maybe not do it if you don't then send it please please do it'll be worth it like literally everything is in Hana it's worth bread sand beaches we're black sand beaches where the bamboo forest is it's where all the waterfalls are it's really the most beautiful drive you could possibly do in my opinion and if you do it you won't regret it just know that when you rent a car and definitely rent a car maybe do it tour but if you rent a car and you see locals tailing you it's because they know the road the speed limit is kind of just a suggestion for us so if the locals behind you please do us all a favor and just pull over and it will make all our lives of people living here a lot more easier but definitely do the road to Hana I couldn't suggest it enough especially if you don't just plan to stay at your hotel the whole time for your trip wanna see waterfalls you wanna see the bamboo forest once the red SAP the black sand beach you want to see a bunch of like rivers are just cool stuff is 64 miles long of road but along that whole Drive it's just beautiful waterfalls just literally right there if you visit Maui and you're more on the adventurous side even if you don't you don't even have to get out of the car if you visit the road to Hana the waterfall isn't literally you can see them from inside the car you literally don't have to get out if you don't want it definitely definitely do the road to Hana it's my biggest recommendation to make this chip just like Wow okay okay this next one is Ashley once you get to the town of Hana so technically you got to do the road to Hana to get to this next one but one of the coolest and most unique beaches I've ever been to in my entire life and I've been to a lot of beaches not a lot of beaches cut up it is red satin Beach and it's super unique it's right there in Hana town it's the Sun is literally like red but it's just everything about that place is just kind of magical okay this next one is kind of depends on the time of year you come here we have seasons here in Maui yes I said we have seasons especially for humpback whales this next one is to go on a whale watch and if you're not here during well season go do like the Sun sets in go do a sunset dinner and sunset cruise whatever you want to call it go get on a boat especially you maintain through the trip to alumni once a yeah I'm looking at when well season actually is okay officially well season Maui runs sorry helicopter speaking helicopters I didn't put the helicopter tours on this because they're quite expensive but if you can afford it definitely suggest you're doing a helicopter tour the one I've done many times is Air Maui and it's amazing you can go visit the islands and stuff I have a few Molokai you will see some of the biggest sea cliffs in the world but back to my point officially well season Maui runs from December 15th to May 15th although it still possible to see wells outside of the official well season date yes very possible because right now we're filming this November 3rd and I've seen a few whales out there so we'll season is jelly from December to May so if you're planning to visit during that time I definitely you go see a whale watch I don't know how you can come here and not go see a whale watch right here maybe just don't care about whales but they're freaking just giant things swimming and they're beautiful and they make sounds and wells are Tokyo deaf do it and if you're not here during well season go do a sunset sell go do a sunset cruise and just get on a boat and see the island from the ocean okay time for number one my favorite thing to do and my biggest recommendation for you to do while you visit here in Maui Hawaii this is one of the most beautiful things or hi everyone explaining things you could ever see and that is to visit the haleakala crater and watch the Sun Rise now here in Maui we have a dormant volcano called Haleakala it's one of our two volcanoes and Haleakala you can literally drive all the way up to it you're flying into the airport it's that big-ass mountain on your right that is the volcano that is Haleakala it's a dormant volcano but you can drive over to the top go to the crater keep and hiking to it you can cap in there whatever but what I suggest you do is go watch the Sun Rise you just kind of get up there very early the thing you have to do though is you have to plan accordingly because I think they're still doing I'm not sure if they're still doing I haven't been there in a minute but you have to make a reservation for your parking soft there's so much people are trying to go up there watch the Sun Rise and it's a national park keep that in mind there is a feed get in but you have to reserve your parking stall ahead of time so you type into haleakala sunrise blah blah blah make a reservation for your car and then you print up the confirmation have it on your phone so when you get up there you have no problems going to wash the Sun right that's definitely what I would suggest you do if you plan to visit Maui it's go wash the haleakala sunrise by far one of my most favorite things to do it can get very chilly and cold up there so keep that in mind depending on the time of year sometimes it actually snows up there I know you probably never thought about bringing anything warm with you visiting Maui so maybe take I know take the comforter off the bed or something that you're renting and bring it up with you cuz you won't it gets cold it gets cold and I lived in Colorado I've lived in the south it gets really cold up there definitely definitely visit the haleakala crater on your trip here Maui Hawaii so I'm not gonna ask for a like or anything for that in this video if you do take advantage of these tips and tricks and my recommendations please keep this in mind the culture here in Maui is very different in a very beautiful way the olha spirit is a real thing and we really do respect our land we love where we're from so when you go to the beach and go through these adventures and things like that please do me this favor whatever you bring to the beach or if you see a piece of trash or litter on the beach please pick it up and throw it in the trash see if water bottles draw anything like that please go ahead and recycle it if you do me that favor while you visit you don't have to do anything else just please please do that that mean the world to me but other than that I hope you have the most beautiful trip here in Maui Hawaii please leave a comment down below if you have any questions concerns anything like that I'll be sure to answer them for you yeah than that I hope you have
