this is my raspberry pi iot word clock project it reads out the time and day of words but it also has a couple other modes such as weather [Music] and also a snake game [Music] this at the heart of cutiepie is our own custom designed circuit board this piece of open source hardware contains all the components necessary to make your projects portable the onboard power management feature shows information about the battery life and gives you the freedom to use or recharge your cutie pie tablet just like your everyday gadgets to take advantage of the custom hardware we built our mobile shell on top of raspberry pi os everything you need to work on the go the shell has you covered and it does all this while maintaining 100 compatibility with the original pi environment and the final thing we need to do is choose run and you see it's scrolling across right on that led array on the synthap connected to the raspberry pi this is called flappy astronaut otherwise known as flappy led it's a flappy bird type game that you can run on the 8x8 matrix and use the gyroscope to control the little dot or the led here demo here is just kind of a little makeshift weather station it'll give you the temperature humidity and pressure system is disarmed i'm gonna arm it again i'm gonna do four sevens seven seven seven seven now i'm going to trip the system and i'm going to disarm it with four sevens and then one last time i'm going to arm the system i'm going to do 9999 then i'm going to trip it and i'm going to input eights just so you can see eight eight eight it reads incorrect pin and the time is still going so i'm running out of time and there we go alarm activated [Music] so i hope you can see this here i'm going to turn the volume all the way down and i've got over here the console output from the software it's probably pretty blurry but you can just kind of see some movement and what's going on let's do this you see it's not playing hit play there it goes when the song is finished fader will go back at kind of a higher speed for the next song this is my geiger counter project i've been working on for about the past year i decided to build this project as i discovered these cheaply available radiation monitor boards on amazon or aliexpress i tested the counter with a radiation sample from an old gas lamp which i believe is thorium and so you'll see me throw that on top of the device and you can see the counters go crazy i also added a couple of toggle switches so you can flip the sound on and off so the idea is you can leave this thing powered on on a shelf and then you don't want that clicking away all day long so you can just flip the sound off and then the idea is if the background radiation does go crazy you'll see all the flashing lights in the counter [Music] so so this is a raspberry pi zero in a custom case with a pimmeroni inky fat display on the front every day it will load a random motivational quote and you can also send it messages so you can say exactly what you want to display on the screen okay so now it's done so you can see the container is starting and when that starts we should see the screen update and show the same quote as this one here so now it says running any second now here we go here's the update so you can see they're both showing the same quote but i've actually customized this one to show a smaller font size and you can find all the customization options in the readme just hit this far right button is confirmed and the more enter button is cancel so i'll hit this to the far right to confirm that i agree to the terms and service then it says we need to back up our key so and then on the computer it tells us that too because they're communicating over the usb cable so we just go to create a new key it tells it tells me word by word on the screen and i hit next and write them down then i create a pin it shows me where to click on the screen the numbers are all mixed up every time i plug in the device that'll be different this pin just lets me get access and approve connections on this device so now we have the device named and it will work we can get in and store all kinds of different funds we can store bitcoin and and transact with ethereum and all kinds of different uh cryptocurrency assets and tokens my eight inch telescope and i want to create a computerized device that allow me to input a particular celestial body be it a planet star or some other constellation and i want to be able to tell it what to look at and have it automatically go there and automatically track it across the sky okay it's pointed at saturn let's go ahead and switch over to the moon that is so cool jupiter where's jupiter it's gotta load the file finding jupiter hmm
