Top 10 AliExpress Anniversary Sale - Best Homages!

hello and welcome to just one more watch it's that time of year again it's the aliexpress sale when watches that were already pretty cheap become even cheaper now i posted a poll on youtube the other day my first ever poll asking you did you want to see top 10 homages top 10 originals or one of each and you said unsurprisingly one of each which is just what i wanted you to say i thought it would be interesting actually to split it into two videos this time around this one is homages so if you want original designs come back tomorrow if however you're looking for a watch that looks and feel like something far far more expensive but for a very very small percentage of the cost this video is for you in some ways this was the easier video because there are so many homages on aliexpress in some ways though this was the harder video because there are so many to choose from i might have gone a bit mad i think i've included about 13 or 14 watches interestingly enough though from a few brands only maybe four or five brands only now i'll leave links to them all in the description of the video in the order that i show them the sale hasn't started yet it starts in about two days time but ali allows you to put stock into your cart locking in the price locking in the stock and coming back when the sale starts and paying for it then now i am an aliexpress affiliate what that means is those links are affiliate links if you click on one and then buy a product ali pays me a small commission you don't pay me anymore for the product just so we're clear thank you very much let's get on with it look at all those browser tabs open at once that is 32 gigabytes of ram working hard today well i'm going to start with a pagani design the first but by no means the last pagani on today's list they really are the masters of the color photocopier and producing some incredible value watches between say 65 and 125 dollars this one regular price 140 sale price 125 however there is a 10 voucher here always look for vouchers and coupons you should be picking this one up for bang on 115 and i'm sure you've worked out already it's a rolex explorer 2 homage this is a brand new model for them i have one white dial and one black dial on the way from china unfortunately i don't think it's going to make it here in time for this sale period however you can be sure that you'll see this one on the channel in the weeks and months to come couple of words of caution with this specific model though the photos that they show you are not of this watch they that is not a pagani that is a rolex how do i know this because i can still see the words rolex rolex rolex in the reho that is photoshopping you can even see swiss made on the dial of this one and all the printing is at an angle there really is no need for them to do this just shows the watch will probably buy it anyway one tip therefore is if a company offers a video always be sure to watch the video this is the watch that you'll be buying and it looks great i think it looks pretty sharp finishing on that bezel perhaps not rolex standard but it is pretty good which is more than i can say for this person's gloves mate those are disgusting treat yourself to some new ones i'm happy to see though they have gone for a conventional mill clasp with with double triggers and three levels of micro adjust one other word of caution with this one it is a forehand gmt plus date automatic for 115 dollars it features a ming zhu dg 5000 something movement i don't have much experience of these movements personally you're probably asking a lot though to get an automatic gmt for 100 bucks they're not going to be as durable or as reliable as a seiko or as a miota so do bear that in mind but if you're insisting on an auto gmt and you're okay with a slightly bigger k shape this one is 42 20 ml lug width and i imagine the lug to lock is around 50 then this could be the one to go for so moving from rolex to tuner and from pagani to san martin from the san martin official store a brand i'm sure you're familiar with if you are regular on the channel this one they call a black bay 58 homage in either blue or the classic gilt and black now this is the most expensive watch that i'm going to show you today two choices you can have it powered by the pt 5000 automatic movement for around 325 or the celita 200 it is more expensive though at 450 us dollars i think there is a slightly different thought process therefore between buying one of these as opposed to buying one of the other cheaper kind of no-brainer homages that i'm going to show you over the course of the video you can buy at your black bay for around four grand so this one costs just over 10 of that as i said it's a slightly different thought process therefore you can bet your bottom dollar i'm going to get one of these in for review over the course of 2021 because it looks fantastic very very nicely machined i think san martin are probably the best brand you can buy on aliexpress slightly larger than the bb-58 though coming in at 40 mil diameter with 20 lug width and a 48 lug to lug it has the same fantastic tapered bracelet screw-down crown 200 meters of water resistance and the classic tudor handset but with a san martin hexagon logo where the tudor rose would normally be it looks beautifully machined nice chamfered edges there there's a custom case back custom crown and as i said that rivet bracelet looks exceptional i'd be going for the vintage one but there is a blue one here if you're keen bgw 9 loom on the blue and a vintage style old radium on the retro style model as i said perhaps not the cheapest watch on the list today but still offers great value for money if you're looking for a cool looking retro diver at a good price that you know is going to be very very well made or if you want to shoot a home match but for less money there is another brand new pagani again i've got two of these on their way from china these ones though are scheduled to arrive on monday so perhaps i will manage a video a hundred and twenty dollars less ten dollars a hundred and ten dollars therefore this one not a black b58 homage though it is bigger it is more like the regular tudor heritage black bay 42 mil in diameter 48 lug to lug and 14 and a half mil thick actually they're slightly contradictory there 14 and a half mil thick and with a nice waffle color dial powered by the venerable seiko nh35 a bunch of different color ways and i believe the heritage color model does have that little red crown tube which is a nice effect tudor are becoming more and more popular in the market and you know you've hit popularity when the chinese comash manufacturers are copying your designs next up when is a homage not a homage when it's an addie's dive pilot watch this one available in black green blue there's leather straps there's nato straps there's various different colors and you can get it sterile if you so choose i picked up a sterile one a couple of months ago and it's a very impressive little watch but what watch is it homaging well it's actually hot mashing an iwc petty prance at a mere eight thousand two hundred dollars this one coming in at less than one percent of that i would never spend big money on a flight watch because it's almost impossible to get a fleeger to look expensive they're just so prescriptive they all look the same i've mentioned this before i think a fleega watch makes an excellent left field daily and this is a very solid option for 75 us dollars sapphire crystal 200 meters of water resistance screw down crown and of course it's a seiko nx35 in the back great lume on this model as well c3 and plenty of it now i opted for the sterile one as you can see here it has a sterile crown and sterile case back the addy's dive one again check the video here folks the aries dive one has an addy's dive branded crown and case back if you do want to go for that really only one flying the ointment with this watch that i could find and that is the cheap press clasp again budget watch brands that's the first corner they cut not a particularly large problem though because you can spec on one of these for around six us dollars eighteen mil i'll leave a link to that one in the description of the video as well overall i'm very impressed with mine it wears nicely on rest seventy five dollars you can't really go too far wrong with that price can you so after the heady heights of rolex tudor and iwc let's come back down to earth a little with a sequel homage now i'm not actually going to suggest this addie's dive sumo homage for 140 for me that is just too close to the original you may as well save up a little bit or buy one second hand i'm going to suggest this one now they refer to it as a san martin 62 mass more correctly it is an sla-017 homage how do i know because i had the sla-017 and one of these san martin's in hand at the same time to do a direct comparison i never actually produced that video though it never got published but there you are that's the two watches side by side there are differences but i don't think there are four thousand seven hundred and fifty dollars worth of differences not that i could find anyway now it seems there aren't too many of these on bracelets left they do have a sterile dial version and the one on the waffle strap which is excellent for around 220 i would also suggest you have a good look at the same watch but in bronze this is an absolute cracker i don't know why seiko haven't made a bronze watch this is the watch that they should have made again check the video here check that lovely piece of bubble sapphire crystal and it's just beginning to patina nicely in the one in the video a little bit of petrochemical feel from that bezel nice crown nice case back very solidly made watch good comfortable silicone rubber strap there's a few different options for you to pick from there as well if you don't already have a bronze watch this one makes a very strong case for itself particularly as it's only 235 dollars but let's get back to rolex let's get back to pagani and i had to include this watch it's a bit of a toss up for me whether this or another watch that i'm going to show you later on is pagani designs best value package overall it is their daytona homage available in panda black blue or green for 65.99 plus there's a five dollar voucher 60 absolutely outrageous value for money these ones especially considering that's a ceramic bezel sapphire crystal screw-down crown screwdriver pushes 100 meters of water resistance and a seiko vk 63 mecha quartz chronograph movement do not look for an automatic chrono for under a hundred dollars you're only going to give yourself problems these sql mecha quartz are fabulous there's a small tick in seconds you'll barely know it's a quartz the battery lasts for two years and they are remarkably accurate and this is a super comfortable watch to wear as well really smooth case finish it wears nicely it's only 40 mil i reckon this one is one of the better watches for ladies or gentlemen who prefer a slightly smaller watch or have a slightly smaller wrist now for 60 dollars your money is spread very thinly i've had a couple of issues with spring bars on paganis and clasps however this one looks crash hot on distressed leather and it's thin enough to wear on nato's as well or for ten dollars more you can actually get this one with a solid n-link rubber strap in black and rose gold those look great they look a little bit more expensive i think than the standard ones for only 10 bucks more i'll leave links to both all right the second sequel homage on the list today but it's a hotmaster vintage seiko is of course the 6105 8010 aka the captain willard this one by addie's dive now i have long maintained that all of these watches come out at the same factory i reviewed a steel dive one it's essentially identical to the aries dive one but with a different brand name on the dial you can get these in blue you can get them in black you can get them with no logo you can get them with logo you can get the rubber straps you can get them nato straps etc all for around 110 us dollars that is a bit of a no-brainer as far as i'm concerned sapphire crystal screw-down crown cycle movement classic k-shape and a decent looking bracelet the only fly in the ointment with this one similar to the previous addie's dive is the clasp again spec on one of those six dollar mil class to take this watch to the next level and the loom is fantastic the steel dive version that i reviewed actually won its episode of lumos the cheapest watch ever to win an episode of lumos and the first and only chinese special to win one to this day these are very very popular if you haven't already bought one now's the time to do so for 110 alright alright the rolex submariner had to come up at some point didn't it surely this is the world's most homage the world's most copied watch there are hundreds of different savior matches on aliexpress from ten dollars upwards i'm going to steer you towards a couple that i think are the best of the bunch though starting with this one the gwan chin for 79 less a couple of dollars in vouchers this is the infamous guanchin cheronometer which they have been making since 8500. if you can get past those two typos in the dial this is a fantastic watch well worth 80 dollars one of the best made watches that i've looked at on the channel for less than a hundred dollars full stop so much so that i have now bought two of these it originally launched with a miota they've updated it now to feature an nh35 which is a big step up in my opinion but they haven't changed the price it's still under 80 bucks you can get it in black you can get it in blue you can get it in green bear in mind though cheap ceramic bezel inserts in blue and green never quite look as good as black so if you're okay with black i would be steering you towards that version and it's a fantastically made watch seiko as mentioned sapphire crystal ceramic bezel or stainless steel construction very very well made screw down crown 100 meters of water resistance or if you want something different they do offer a couple of two-tone versions however if you've got a bit more money to spend on a submariner homage the san martin water ghost i know is very popular you can see there just about a thousand orders and well it should be it's a solidly put together watch for around 200 with a seiko nx35 however i would be steering you towards the chronos instead i think this is one of the best watches again you can buy for around 250 a couple of different options here pt5000 the aforementioned clone of the eta 2824 fully load bezel insert 250 bucks if you want to spend a bit more you can get it with aceta 200 for around 350 i've reviewed so many of this style of watch i've reviewed the squally one five four five this watch is so much better than the squally for about half of the price and it is terrifyingly close to the six digit sub the one with the super case it's one of these watches it's so well made it's so well put together it's so well machined it's so well finished you wonder why on earth you'd be mad enough to spend thousands on a swiss watch when you can buy one of these instead moving on to the only omega homage on today's list again by pagani it's the no time to die sea master this 111 dollars less a 10 voucher you're getting a great watch for a hundred bucks and again the video here if i play that a little bit cheeky they know exactly what they're doing they're playing james bond music in the video and it is a good looking watch i reviewed this one towards the end of last year and was just amazed how good it looked for the cache ceramic bezel insert very well machine case texture dial a bit of full tina there on the hands the indexes and on that bezel insert the ubiquitous sequel nh35 in the back and look it can handle being submerged in a glass of water what more could you ask for one word of warning with this one i thought the bracelet was crap i would be seating you towards the fitted vintage style rubber strap instead it's a little bit cheaper the watch is going to wear more comfortably it's going to be a bit lighter i just felt the bracelet was a bit awkward 110 bucks this one an absolute cracker now i did suggest this list was going to be populated by a few select brands and indeed here is another san martin they call this one the 6200 retro water ghost i call it a rolex submariner 1957 homage so after the sub went from the pencil hands to the mercedes hands but still had that rivet bracelet in a slightly smaller case that's what this san martin is replicating here today now i reviewed this one a few months ago i said it was the best budget vintage style watch that you can buy nothing i've seen has changed my mind so far anyway fabulous case construction that rivet bracelet slightly smaller vintage sizing at 38 millimeters great vintage style loom and the ubiquitous seiko nx35 in the back of this one as well 235 if you like that vintage look but can't quite cough up the 400 plus required for the salita powered tudor blackberry homage you're getting this one for about half the price but it's still going to be a fantastic watch for you moving on it's another pagani from their pagani design official store and it's the one and only tag heuer homage featuring in today's video they call it a pd1668 you and i would call it an aqua racer homage now this is footage of mine i've had this one waiting patiently in the queue for review for some time it is a large style watch much like the aqua racer coming in at 43 mil in diameter it is just as solid as you would expect it to be for only 85 us dollars sapphire crystal seiko movement ceramic bezel insert nicely machined nicely finished case dial and handset it also comes in a bunch of different colors there's a blue there's a black there's a green there's also leather strap versions i would suggest in this case you do pick up the bracelet though because it is a decent bracelet 85 it's a damn sight cheaper than the tag as well if you like the gel gentle look but don't like the fifty thousand dollar price tag the five-year waiting list and the first born child that you have to give the a.d to get a nautilus 5711 why not have a look at one of these san martins instead again there's the choice of pt 5000 for 295 dollars or salita 200 power version for about 430 and again like all of the other san martins that i've showed you on the channel so far and in this video it looks fabulously well made these integrated bracelet watches are big in 2021 they are everywhere judging by the number that i'm getting offers of review again this is one that i've got my eye on i'll try and get one of these in over the course of the next couple of months or so one slight disappointment though unsigned crown that's a bit of a let down for three hundred dollars it's even more of a letdown for 440 if you do opt for this elite version and finally the last pagani on today's list the last rolex homage as well it's their datejust homage they call it the one six four five i highly rate this watch one of my favorite paganis along with the daytona because they're not trying to do so much it's got that fluted bezel fixed bezel style screwdriver crown 100 meters of water resistance and a very very comfortable jubilee bracelet it's sized like the 41 mil datejust but for 75 dollars rather than the 8 000 or so required if you do want one of those fluted bezels in white gold now you can pick this one up in two-tone if you're a baller there's a full diamond one i'd probably avoid that two-tone gold and stainless or i have here the blue one there's a black dial kind of rhodium colored one or a silver color dial all for 75 bucks it's a really nice watch wears well again super smooth case finishing and jubilee bracelet one of the more comfortable watches that i've shown you today so there you have it if you're into homages you are spoiled for choice on aliexpress there are literally hundreds of different styles to choose from that guan chin chironometer 80 bucks though definitely a stand out for me the pagani daytona the pagani datejust that i'm waiting on my wrist right now and any of those san martins i appreciate though when you're hitting 400 there's a decision to be made but the cheaper one at 230 i reckon that is an absolute cracker
