Tooling Out Big D

oh wow big old Boulder all right so we got Big D in the shop we're working on it so we went and cleaned out Harbor Freight over in Grand Junction we got a bunch of tools some Chargers an inverter Mike is cutting right now as we speak yeah making a divider yeah we're going to put a divider in the toolbox here so we're going to set it up do a shelf in here and then do the inverter for the Chargers do the Chargers on the wall mount all that stuff and then do our tools tool boxes everything will be in here on this side we've got two Harbor Freight electric winches that are going on the back here and we're going to swap out this one in the front there one in the front I really love it's an old school side Winder winch they're really great but they're slower than death so we're trying to get this truck rigged up to where it's like Trail Mater it's just ready to go has all the tools everything on it is just ready to go okay here it comes [Music] yeah all right I forgot which way was back okay Vehicles well let's go home yeah done the three tiny tacks it's good to go [Music] Tada here we go it is Sunday I got the little roll back little car trailer we call it the roll back we're going to go way up here on the Mountain Road get a car that slid off snow I slid off the road in snow and we got to get in onto the trailer haul it down to the yard so the tel company can come pick it [Music] up continue on Buck Road for one mile so made it we're on the back side of the mountain anyway it's a mile up the Road from here looks like somebody zigged when they should have zagged your destination is on the left all righty MC excavation looks like vehicles are not on their equipment what they can run yeah check her out see how much damage on the Lower Side ooh ooh big boulder we're going to pull it straight up that way did they have a heavy equipment out here or I don't know there's big old yeah I seen those tracks I'm going to grab two of these spokes oh yeah it's off the Boulder now it's got ghostes in there it's coming up off the ground yeah but I mean that side one though yeah that's the bring my angle up little hang on door is not working I wonder if the batteries are dead cuz there ain't no lights [Music] on we up on the road yeah I'll go take the ramps out cuz we're going to put it on the trailer take it back to Moab tires are looking different directions oh yeah for sure I'm guessing that Boulder had a discussion with that rock a little light discussion shirt right down the shirt uh all right so we have got it on the off-road roll back right here yeah yeah right here that's a roll back yeah this is a roll back if you don't know and you you keep thinking that those tow trucks with the Tilt things are roll backs no no this is the OG roll back anyway we got it all strapped down it's good to go we're going to take it down to the yard um we're going to inch out of here so that we don't do a repeat of what happened yeah but yeah I'm curious I wonder if they tried getting it out or he just didn't have another car and he came down here in the loader and I don't know but that was a pretty good slide this is a perfect example and I'm not downplaying in a panic situation it's bad lots of things happen but right here keeping your foot on the brakes is what makes you slide like let off and then you can direct where where you're going to go a little better little better little better you think with the ABS it should have compensated it but anyway anyway don't matter here it is got it on Big D did awesome PTO clutches or PTO winches for like this stuff yeah yeah yeah I'm digging that pulled it like nothing just dragging it sideways got it up out of there no problem right up on the road and then being able like to raise and lower the Boom in real time like right now not like old blue where you got to let yeah let the tension off and crank it up no like just a hydraulic up and down in out to change your angle and just drag it right up on the road very nice very nice works perfect look we're learning to be tow truck operators well vehicle's recovered let's go home let's go getting any of this yeah we're going we're going to be Basin that's where we're going to um We've Got Big D we are testing out the new seat new seat cup holders yeah look at that cup holders yeah we got a bunch of fuel cuz we are driving this to be Basin to go get this rig supposedly it's a 2018 Ford F350 um some was wrong with the fuel system so we're going to go in there and get it we're probably going to wheel lift it out backwards and carry it down to the ranch so here we go follow us along for a joyous Adventure I ran this across the scale this weekend this truck by itself weighs 11,000 lb and we haven't even started putting tools on it so she's a big girl so it does not get very good fuel mileage last time we checked it we were at what I think six 6 6 and A2 yeah yeah not great whoa and they work and they're squirters definitely getting a little sow here ah look at that snows has the road blocked I guess we better turn around we got to through that drift sh see if we can get through this one oh we made it that's Canyon lands over there right so yeah we're at about 25 miles from where we left the pavement currently about 2 in of no two to three two three 2 three in and uh we should see our truck anytime now sometime soon hopefully all right so we have this challenge where chain keeps falling out of the little compartment there so anyways one of them fell in also less than ideal so we're going fishing victory [Music] [Music] we know [Music] [Music] okay what we're going to have to do is go up higher than we want [Music] to oh so apparently something with the fuel system broke I don't know if it's a fuel filter housing I don't know what it is but they said that it's you you try to start it or you turn the key on and it just dumps diesel fuel so something is a miss that is why we are here um I want to kind of feel it out right here real quick yep and let's see how it looks how it feels what we're what we're dealing with look at all these deer [Music] tracks it looks pretty good I think we're going to have to watch out when we go through dips the front is pretty low okay this seems like it clears like the bumper comes up and over okay but in a weird situation I don't know right well we'll we'll when we get to those weird situations but overall I'd say it's working pretty darn well there is no perfecting these gas cans now I know The Jug may say diesel and I have a tendency to put the wrong fuel in vehicles trust me it's gas we're putting in there I've never taken it to empty right we don't know know where empty is I don't know where the gauge reads done in my Ford experience it's generally somewhere way past e yeah but I don't know but it's never it's never something you should count on yeah uh we have come up with a system so I watch in the mirror and when if Rory turns real sharp I correct if it's just a little wiggle stay straight cuz otherwise it gets way too complicated if I'm constantly correcting for what what he's doing it's no good if I can like see the side of the tow truck that means I need to do things back here it's pretty chill just hang out enjoy the scenery it's pretty cool [Music] man look at that [Music] all right we've gotten to the smoother part of the road so we are going to tire off and hope for the best yeah good luck stay there good luck little fell we're down to the final little distance here to the good road yeah we're down to the Good Dirt Road we're cruising along uh making a good time now I don't know what time it is 3:00 pretty decent time oh yeah we're going to rock it down here and get down to the ranch and drop this off over at the headquarters is what he told me so if it involves a pipe wrench you know it's going to be classy yeah he doing very bad things we tried yelling at it talk bad about it mom talk bad about it [Music] Mom camera turn Sparks Sparks you hide over here behind these gas [Music] [Music] cans what are those holes for drain holes cuz we made a box oh Goa yeah should work battery boxes are in I'm put this charger right there they got measurements measurements mean nothing to me oh it didn't count for the slide up action yeah yeah yeah I'm just realizing that I didn't say nothing I don't know you're yeah you didn't have to thing over there inverter they got a thingy thing right here charger and then a compressor compressor two batteries two 12vt batteries all right we got our uh off-road Jack properly attached to on our off-road recer on our onroad off-road record four-wheel drive it's not onroad there you go totally Offroad check this out but wait there's more Not Just 2 in there's a whole department on this side look at that all organized is snatch blocks and straps and you don't even want to know what's all in there yeah all sorts of stuff all kind of goodies oh we got some more upgrades since you guys saw look at that for Mike safety yeah earlier he had a square on his face and we were trying to ask him where it came from now we know now we know look at that square there you know tighten her up There It Is taada [Music] Magic that's pretty close to like [Music] balance yeah not too bad like right in the windshield yeah just barely behind that about where the driver sits I I just do like some 1 in welds here and there like it does not need to be watertight right it's he's going to make it water yeah he's going to weld the entire thing front and back because I said we don't need to so now it's going to now it's going to happen there where you can put all the RC chargers at we'll cook those onto these and I'll sit right here there
