hell yeah brother you're on the policeman for on youtube channel oh no dude you took leroy's shoulder off that looks so weird it looks really weird without it yeah we were talking about how like yeah they're just kind of a weird addition to the car but it needs them there they are dude what a legendary piece of equipment right there so guys uh one of the things that we wanted to do was uh if well for the ogs i mean only the ogs will remember the fact that the turbos actually hit these bars because those bars went on before the turbos and the headers got built really so we've always had this notch in this bar and the turbo just kind of banged up against it the whole time well what we're going to do now is those bars are going to be a little bit further out and then when they come over here they're basically going to make a hard turn and go right down instead of having that kind of like loop look to them and then that'll buy us some room over here because turbos are bigger we're going to put the wastegate to lower everything like that that'll give us some more room in this area on each side of the engine and fit these big old turpsies i think that's a little better maybe see a little bit better if we're lucky but we're not worrying about that too much worrying more about the turbos and how they're going to end up on this sucker so ty just went ahead and cut those babies off and uh went and got some new chromoly kind of stand them up put them in later what are you gonna put the turbos on first um so that's kind of where we were debating like do we do the turbos or the tubes first but i was thinking do the turbos first and then we can run the tubes where they kind of yeah run under the turbo a little bit and then maybe we can get some some mountain oh i got to hold up to it a little bit i like it so they're not bouncing yeah this one had yeah look at that that's just cracks forming and that's one that ty just recently repaired so i mean there's cracking on the outside of the welds and cracking right across the wheel look at that one too that one's huge we're lucky a turbo never fell off even though that would have been kind of awesome uh we were thinking you know what we're just going to put these in some of your guys merch orders since you guys order so many t-shirts from us we figured we'd just throw these in some random merch orders a few smaller pieces maybe five sticks of them yeah dude we'll hook the people up but uh the rest of the headers are gonna be back along for the ride dude right back to actually in this section we're gonna get cut these back a little further and this you know being a collector the further back you go the bigger it gets so we're gonna get some four to three inch trans type of cones yeah cut the cone down to where it fits this perfect to three inch and then build off of that then we'll be good to go it's all dialing in there's a couple dents in these puppies i'm not going to worry about that get the og streetcar fab are we using them cleaned up yeah they're all cleaned up i figured you were going to be replacing those no i mean there's no point i mean these are you know cnc that is stainless it's funny too because the hardware that we've used for these has been like yeah we literally found it out of a bucket so many years ago and it happened to me and he was like hey man put studs in there it'll save the threads oh i go and get some purpose so that's built we have a proper hardware for that all right cool so guys one of the things that we're going to do here is replace this here turbo drain line he's slightly cooked how about this one this one's cooked it's a good find yeah you'll have that and uh we're actually moving the catch can to the back of the car we put this in the front of the car originally and it's way too small this thing just absolutely cannot stop i mean as you can see it's pretty much full right now now that's part of the reason for that is because there was so much blow-by because of the one bolt being out of the rocker but this thing just doesn't have the capacity for this big 427 run in high boost so it ends up blowing oil all over the side of the engine you can see just down in here i mean there's a huge amount of build up it's actually made this valve cover completely yellow so we're going to be putting the catch can in the back of the car and it'll be much larger so that'll help have the capacity to actually take the oil that catch can is supposed to catch hopefully that will prevent having oil all over the front of the car plus you don't really want your catch can the front of the car because if it does overflow and there's oil all over then it can get under the back tires which is something we might want to move on ruby eventually too but you know just figuring it out and then while we're here since we already have this bar out of the way and we're moving this turbo we're going to take out this gigantic brake booster which i've always loved the uh brake booster but we're going to a manual brake system because that's what jack stand prefers manual brakes or no brakes so that'll buy us a bunch of room up here to kind of move the turbos over a little bit and uh finally time dude leroy's old booster is going away oh man what a great job these are to do oh she's sealed on there too it's been a while since leroy has uh kicked my butt by climbing into the foot well this car any time to just clutch pedals or whatever it's just awful all right so now that so now this big dog is out of the way look at how much more room we have on this side of the engine now i know it looks like a big old cluster right now leroy always comes around making her a little shorter little chop cut rebuild a little chop cutting leather up let's go there you know we're getting close on your throttle cable yeah oh i figured after i give them the tech talk i'm going to let you rip on this thing tick tocking or tech talk tech talk okay since james does all the tech talk around here i was going to be the one to explain these valve springs that we're throwing in leroy today 660 with bad units right here these aren't just any valve spring from texas speed these ones are specifically made out of the beaks of bald eagles and they're carbon pressed together like diamonds using the tears of the victims the bald eagles you know the prey of baldy that makes sense sure what is it not the prey what is it called one of the bald eagles killed yeah it would be the prey right the bald eagle is the alpha predator bald eagles predator the rabbit on the grounds the prey so they use the tears from the rabbits combined with the beaks of fallen bald eagles very rare hard to get i don't know i don't ask questions but that's how they make these but you can see these are dual valve springs and that's probably why what's that twos is them yeah two of them that's probably the only reason why leroy's still running if it is if these were just your standard valve spring we probably would have already had a failure but like we said two years no failures and this is a wear item and we've just never changed them only change the oil here we are and we uh we also got some new seals which i've never done valves so i kind of want to i want to be along for that ride so let's see what you got going on toast over here all right a lot of progress [Music] dude we are right there this is gonna work perfect look at that dude right out of the box it works that almost never happens we're just gonna have to move this bracket up i'll pull that whole thing out slide her down we're gonna have to move this bracket up just a little bit and angle it differently oh yeah work with this hat pretty sick and then uh so we'll have throttle we'll have egts we'll have fuel now yeah working on the fuel lines uh coolant systems done yeah see that i saw you were actually putting coolant put some coolant additive once you go get distilled water not leaking tomorrow's a new day for that okay but uh as you can see we got new sensors everywhere that's all wired up all nice and fancy yeah that's probably real fitting configuration done so he can make the end for this yep fuel pressure so matt our wiring guy who's who we're referring to there he is about ninety percent of the way down with the wire he's uh yeah he's 99 95 there's got like one or two ends to tidy up a couple grounds to hook up yeah uh we just got in today our kill switch for a mag drive yep gotta have that wire up and like two ends on the battery to finish and he's done if you guys don't have a kill switch for your mag drive essentially you could cut the power to toast but if he's running and that puppy's turning it's gonna keep making power and keep the car running so you have to have a kill switch that's that thing that's up above me in warburg i kick that off that kills the car so we gotta have that and then just basic wiring has to be finished that we can see in here the dominator is on the ground yeah it's all wired up everything's good to go he just is waiting until he finishes the battery leads to make the last few plug-ins and then that hides up underneath the dash yeah coolant systems done oil systems done fuel systems three lines away okay uh the pump's wired in the back to feed our surge tank up here i got two lines to make left on the fuel system and it's done done only thing left then would be the lean out valve yep i got the line to do from from the back from the electric pump to the search tank yep and it uh ready to start testing circuits so the question is jack stand will toast make it to cleaves and cars nd yeah i mean it's gonna be three weeks yeah we have two and a half weeks if you count out the time that will be gone in vegas for ls fest yeah yeah true so parts provided gonna be close that's the only hold up we have we have the manpower we have the will we have the time we just need a few last little ants so the only things that i the only legitimate thing that i think could hold us up is going to be the fact that that aerodyne composites hat could significantly change the tune up on this thing the airflow is totally different the idle's totally different had we left the other hat on the tune would have probably been pretty close because warburg got over here and the tune was almost dead on so the fact that we did a that's a major change for a blower car if you didn't already know as far as we've been told we don't really know because we don't have a ton of floors it's all new to us besides it's like you know the idle is one thing but there's this thing called the drip down and just yeah all these little things mechanical injection like it might just look like it's fittings but everywhere you see a fitting it's actually a tuning valve of some sort some yeah in some way shape or form high flow pressure valving this is actually a valve with throttle almost like the way a tps works this valve works that way see this little guy right here yeah this is an actual valve that opens with throttle to give fuel to prevent a pre-blower post blower where each nozzle is is another valve everywhere freaking crazy there's a valve in it so it's like one of those things air yeah then we're going to indy which is going to be colder yeah so it's freaking nuts but uh we are happy to announce that warbird is in good health after an oil change and everything so i think we're 100 there so we'll have warburton indy for sure the goal is to bring toast and run it against warbird have a little 1v1 battle but i don't i don't know dude boardward's pretty nasty so we're we're doing our best and you know whatever happens at least i think we'll bring a running car we'll bring our running worst case if we can't get it to where we know everything's one hundred percent with the fueling yeah well we can still bring the car you know do a baby conservative maybe skip if anything just we do that there's no way i can stop starting up give but other than that we'll have like jh's trout we'll have white trash we'll have neighbor we'll have pretty much everything as far as all of our regular brown cards mystery machine but the goal is to bring toast to indy so i'm feeling pretty good about it it's just one of those things man we gotta wait on parts so we gotta hope everything comes together and we'll hopefully make it yeah so that's it it's close though i mean it's it's right there a few man hours away from being mechanically done we just got some more stuff in for leroy tomorrow we get the turbos ty's gonna start working on bending up these pipes but tomorrow we get turbos we also get an engine for rocket tomorrow so we can take him to ls fest so by the end of this week we'll have a great idea of what we're taking to ls fest west what we're taking to indy and uh what's probably gonna just be ripping so i don't know hard to explain because we don't really know what parts will end up failing or not coming in but we're stoked to make it happen so simple these turbo cars so simple dude all right guys thanks for watching do it for today we'll freakin see you
