Tips & Tricks #6: Installing Mods | BeamNG.drive

hey whats up guys it's ben ng fun here and in today's tips and tricks video i wanted to talk about how we can download and install mods into beam ng drive i know for a lot of you who have been playing beam ng drive for quite some time now you're probably all you probably already know how to install mod so this video is a little bit more for new players to the game or for those of you who have been having trouble installing mods so I'll just walk you through this real quickly what I'm going to do is I'm going to open up my web browser here and the website we want it's right on Beman GECOM its beam ng com /resources I'll include a link to it in the description to the video you'll notice on the page here right at the top there's a nice big button how do you install mods so that if you're still having trouble or if the video if I'm not doing a good job at explaining it definitely feel free to check out that link as well that'll give you a written that step by step as well now here you're going to see on the page there's a number of mod set we can download over here on the left hand side I won't spend too much time here it's pretty self-explanatory but you can see we have the vehicles scenarios different terrains and maps user interface apps so there's all sorts of mods you can download in this case I'm going to look under the featured resources and let's install the e TK 800 EV the electric vehicle so I'm going to click on that you can see here gives you an extra scription of what the vehicles all about some of the reviews those are handy as to-read just so you know what you know whether it's good or not but in this case it looks pretty good so all I'm going to do over here is I'm going to click on the download now button it's over here on the right-hand side and where we need to go is it's under this PC under your My Documents folder you should have a beam ng Drive folder and we're going to put it in the mods folder you can see at the top here the path to where you need to go now in the mods folder you might have some mods already if not it's all good just save it in there it is going to save as a zipped file typically you would unzip the zip file but in this case you don't need to unzip it you just place the zip file right in the folder and the game will take care of on packaging it and unzipping the file so I'm just going to click Save it's a nice quick download it's already done and one of the great things about Beeman's you drive I just flip back into it now is most of the time you don't actually need to restart the game in order to get the mod so you can actually be in game download a mod and it should show up for you now to check if the mod installed no problem from the main screen here if we click on mods right in the middle there you can see here's the list of all the mods installed you can see their name of the mod as well as the date that it was added so in this case you can see right here at the top we have the e TK 800 EV so that's the one i just downloaded so if you can see it here it means it's being unpackaged and it's available for you in the game now there's a few options here a couple of options one thing we could do especially if you have a long list of mods is you can actually click on mod name to sort okay by name alphabetically you can also sort it by type as well as the date added usually all sorted so that the most recent is at the top just so i can confirm that in installed successfully once its installed we do have a couple of options by default it'll just show up right in the game for you but if you if you ever don't want it in the game or if you're having trouble with it you can click on this eyeball to deactivate it what that'll do is it'll keep it installed but it just won't show up in the game so if you decide you don't want you no mods cluttering up your menu you could just click on that the other thing too is if you decide you don't want the mod anymore you can press the little trash can icon over here to delete the mod that will actually not only remove the mod from the game it'll also delete it from your computer as well so if you want to reinstall it you would have to go and redownload it whereas just using the eyeball will just temporarily deactivate it alright so let's check it out as long as like I said as long as we have the the mod on the list of mods there we should be good to go let me just open up the grid map here and we'll just load into the game just like we normally would like I said once it's on the list it should just show up automatically for you but we'll just confirm that here in a second ok I'm going to press ctrl key on my keyboard bring up the menu here and we're looking for the e TK 800 EV here it is right over here on the left hand side a lot of these mods will come with kind of a package of cars or different skins or different different types of vehicles as well but you can see here the mod has been downloaded it's now in the game and it seems to be working pretty well alright guys so that's it for today's tips and tricks videos like i said if you've been playing demon's G drive for a while you probably already know how to do
