[Music] it up three things you're going to want to include in your packaging and three things you're not going to want to include in your small business packaging you definitely need a thank you or a business card i'd like thank you cards because it's a little bit more personal and then you can also add like a discount code for them to use and then just leave places where they can connect with you like email or social media and make sure you have your branding or your logo at least in multiple places i like to use a stamp and also ceiling stickers and though it's important not to spend all your money on packaging it's nice to add a little personal taste so i like to add my own tape to seal packages okay now let's get started with the three things you don't want to include number one candy not everybody can eat that candy you're putting in there and you are including that in your packaging cost at least i think you are and they don't want to be paying for that that's not what they're buying so don't include candy number two is fake flower petals a lot of the time people include this to make it look more nice and fun but honestly it kind of makes your brand look a little bit cheaper and it just ends up in the garbage anyways and this last one depends on your business but you don't need five business cards to sell a sticker you only need one or two go ahead and follow me for more tips when i first launched my business even some of my closest friends had nothing to say they didn't necessarily support me meaning like or share my content or even ask me how it was going with the brand they just kind of you know stayed silent and at first i took offense to it but then i quickly realized it is normal human behavior they had never seen someone try to accomplish tissue paper or a tutorial of how i fold it but i don't really know how to explain it so hopefully this video helps i get the tissue paper from uline and i believe the size is 15 by 20 inches the way i fold it really depends on the size of the item but usually i will fold the ends so this is how i do that i fold in the top and then it creates a little triangle thing and then i tuck that in as well and this is what it should look like there you go and yeah then i add my thank you card in and sticker and scrunchie and that's really it thanks for watching i hope this was helpful this is another way how you can make your own custom packaging you're going to need either vellum paper or tissue paper and a custom stamp i'm using vellum paper here and basically you're going to stamp your local all over your page i actually started over because my lines were not um straight and it wasn't aligned so i used the lines on my cutting mat to make sure the logo was stamped correctly and that's it pretty easy to do especially if you don't have print how do i package my clothes so these are my college readings i have not touched these in years it's just paper that's rotting in my drawer so what i will do is i'll just get the shirt that i just sold and i will do a lengthwise fold from the tip of the collar all the way down to the hem on both sides and it should look something like this long thing then i would neatly fold it in half and i'll start rolling it up like a sausage [Music] from there i'll get my readings tear off one page and with the print side facing outward i would actually roll it outside the shirt seal it with a piece of tape now you have something neatly packaged that you don't even have to buy new paper or plastic bags so if you sell clothes online ask yourself this qr codes on your thank you cards so basically all you do is you go to linktree you fill out everything and then you copy the link at the top then you paste it onto the qr code website and then you download and print it on the card and it'll look like this when people scan not to do when starting a phone case business order from bad suppliers like look at how awful that quality is and if you decide to print themselves do not let your boyfriend anywhere near the ink and do not print the design too big for the case also double check you've actually ordered the right size box and lastly don't force yourself to put a product out there just because you spent ages on it i hated this design as you'll love the first one here's part two of what not to do in starting a phone case business number one do not move the heat press when in the middle of the sublimation process as it will cause this shadow never forget to click mirror image when you're printing your design as this will make sure it's the right around on the phone case adding on to this never print on the rough side of the sublimation paper you're gonna have to feel for this as there's no visual difference and when using scraps of paper do not underestimate the size of your design and lastly never stop creating designs you never know which one of your designs or collections is gonna make your small business blow up
