Oh red face soup I remember it so well 10 P only Gillis my favorite catalog Ella Stearns and my childhood I remember the red face soap very clearly marvelous stuff it was a bar of soap about this big and this is a plastic so I also got from that period as well but the real face soap was proper soap but in there that was a little cavity with some sort of red dye or crystals and a little paper cover over at the sticker when you wash yourself you've got the red laser they came of your face and there's no bleeding or something extraordinary I do I do remember there that was the first time I bought her something like soap which was a practical joke or a trick or something else a novelty I wasn't desorden Airy every day so of course I do use every day so usually a bar like that but I've walked along here to show you some funny onion soups that are out of my collection which I have to admit most of these I've never actually used but I just enjoy collecting them and showing them to people for instance this one here is a soap on a roll that you cover I do this it's quite nice for the technology a fairly recent - you just break a bit off that is actually so look how thin it is astonishing yet when you put it in water with your hands and rub it it's Lars is up nicely and then you can wash with it and if you want another piece you just take it out of it out very simple to use they hydrate very practical so on a roll I came across this extraordinaire merican idea about some three years ago I think it was it's some money soap the idea is you buy this bar and you notice inside you look carefully there's actually a banknote Wow what it is well the globe on the outside it says it's a one dollar bill or 510 K or even a 50 dollar bill that'll be something but you don't know until you've got that good see - because it cost $12.99 to buy $12 an idea if it's a one or five or ten dollar bill you've hardly even broke e but if in a 20 or 50 Wow it's like a lottery ticket with the soap as well you good cheat by cutting open but I'd much rather actually using it and thumbs up the pleasure meant as a patient for money so how much should be one icicle there's many soaps shipped like this one here like a golf ball and there's many many other shapes too for people with particular interest this is obviously for a golfer it was originally nicely ticks together with a proper wrapping in a little tea was the visitor little golf tee I remember but he knew this lordly soap after the first wash would probably lose all the dimples there's matter it's just a little joke item to give someone who loves golf but obviously has to wash there's many other shapes as well this was really for the hostess with the mostess is a beautiful soap leaves if you've got some very special guests in but a nice guest room which is ensuite you put these in the basement before they arrive and delights the guests because inside are these simply beautiful but delicate leaves made out of soap based on the leaf but there was soap in between the veins at least look how thin that is that is soap when you put it in water rub your hands over it it'll lather up but very very beautiful almost translucent for the guests for the most yes if it makes have a German idea I came across in the Toy Fair is about 30 years ago don't whatever made it in the Far East I don't think LG the company German pharmaceutical company discovered that there were certain chemical you can put on soap and when you do so it's third up so they sell the thing like this cat for instance in the package airtight package when you take it out of the package after about four or five hours it starts growing a fur now for two days that's what it looks like astonishing when you then use it of course it loses the third after the first attempt oh here's an example for instance of a little chicken I've done which I started taking out it's starting to fur up nicely it's a bit ragged did assault was but if you need it and don't keep touching it the fur will grow out there they beautiful and evening like this in the case of the cat there which is my favorite one when you started using it and towards the end of its use after about four or five days you'll find in the center of it hidden is a little plastic mouse yes nice one that what the chemical is I'd love to find out sometime the Swedish do a lovely thing floating so just thing here so food your summer so the point is the sweets go out into the countryside into there this little cabin in the wood and summertime and there's lakes everywhere in Sweden and they want to have a little bathe of course if they use bath soap bath soap of course it will drop to the bottom of the lake and they can't recover it so use this special soap here which is made of a human material which allows us to float so I'll try it here was based on the water and see if it really will float for me it has to be fresh water because it's that's the way the lakes arranged in Sweden they're all freshwater lakes yes it does it works very nicely it makes me think you know that sometimes they ought to make a little plastic duct like one of these things this won't float it'll sink but if it made of plastic that for children with filters as well that would be nice thing for the children to having a bar so Julie I'm also looking for luminous so people come across it then there's two very jokey soaps to finish with which I picked up in America this one here was an amazing one it was called avalanche and it's a shaving soap thank goodness is empty because it makes an awful mess when you push the button top of shaking shaking it breaks the switch so the point is out comes the foam from shaving yourselfers and goes on coming out and you can't stop it it goes on coming out until the entire cans in the contents are empty and basically full of foam what extraordinary to do quite frightening actually if you're not expecting it they're really alarmed the guests fortunately that one's empty and from another company I came across these extraordinary ones which are against change soaps the switches here behave themselves it will turn themselves off but this one was a bright red diet which and this one which I thought I might just try out cuz I haven't done it for a long time it's a blue dye so if I'm about to shave I have to put some in my hand my heart nice cover this [Music]
