and they thought it would be very funny if we had another baby [Music] good morning it's saturday we are heading to home depot to pick up a load of lumber for mark's cabin in the woods i got to spend the morning on facetime with a special new addition to our family not our family but our extended family so blind and jer had their baby yesterday they had a baby girl and all is well she gave us a bit of a scare so yesterday was rough until mid-morning when she finally made her entrance so hopefully she might get released tonight or maybe even tomorrow so i'd love to be able to go over and see her and introduce you guys to her no name yet or they haven't told me got a text at 4 30. it was jared he's like sandy brock will be up at 4 30 and uh and they facetime me so i was able to she was nursing the baby and we just got to hang out and it was so nice i was telling the vlog that i got to hang out with our new little family member today you think it was your kid i know i get to live vicariously through her because my kids are all gone you have a you have a daughter four-legged one a dogger a dogger well that was a quick date now that we dried the soybeans we have to clean out the bottoms of the dryer get rid of all the soybeans put them back on wagons i don't know if anybody's open today to receive said beans but we were hoping to have our wagons empty so we could potentially start corn if we so choose to are you looking at the beast the belly of the beast was that one low that tire yep finally emptying our overhead all our dry beans are getting put in the wagons for now so mark is running the uh mark's up there and i'm on wagon duty so we use this light that jack set up right there and when it turns green i go which means i have to pay attention now [Music] all our beans into wagons um we haven't taken any to town though we weren't sure if it was open but now we're wondering if it is open what are you gonna do are you gonna take them to town you're not okay checked all our tires on our wagons what else needs to be done all right we have to pick up the corn head we left it there fly away thank you we're uh down the road putting away some equipment that we don't foresee using unfortunately but we need to free up some space at home so we're throwing the air cedar in here and the macdon there [Music] [Music] whoa [Music] good morning it's one degree celsius it's uh winter but what a beauty morning clear skies so i think the plan is to unload all our wagons full of beans into our meridian bin our little bin that we store our canola and extra stuff it's our crusher beans we want to take them to town town will not be open today likely and it just takes too long we want to get all set up for corn so we are going to fill that bin with whatever's in our wagon there's the man of the hour and get started on corn as mark is busy getting some stuff ready we have to fill up the generator do all the little odds and sods before we really get honking here at corn jack is coming home today so that's really sweet he just he's had a couple really big weeks some assignments and projects and presentations and uh this is his last in class semester so he's got some pretty big i think they're called capstone projects so big independent studies uh so he's in a good place with that so he said uh he texts us or he called us yesterday at lunch and said you guys need help and mark's like we always need help so he's coming home which is awesome the other people coming home today is belinda and jer and their sweet baby girl so what i'm hoping is today i'm gonna let them be and i'm too busy anyway with corn tomorrow i have a doctor's appointment so i'm going to message her if she's home and just see if she's up for visitors i'm sure everyone is going to be bombarding them but i really want you guys to meet the little one she's doing well mama and mommy and daddy are doing well they're delirious they're so tired because uh labor took an entire night to no avail so the baby came into this world um maybe not in the in the way they had envisioned but she is here and she's a little fighter like her mom it's one degree out i didn't use hot water to get the ice off the window i guess that's what you wanted right killing pro i don't know if it's a killing frog so i guess not if the sunflowers rolled today then it was going broke great you're like angelic today in the sun if only they knew [Music] so [Music] we're just about to leave and i know we're going to be too busy to eat lunch so i packed everybody lunch jack is here right there i packed him a lunch mark lunch and i'm eating leftovers before i go because they're too quick for this old girl this is really good mark made like a mexican i don't know rice it's delicious hey jack would you go to turn around or go back on the road maybe do it down here a little farther where i am that's where you're melting in it's not quite as deep shovel maybe [Music] going on the right man okay that sucks i plugged the leg again um it was a different reason the corn is a lot drier now so it's flowing a lot faster uh and i did compensate for that i ran it half as wide as i ran it i'm totally making excuses for myself because i know people are going to think i'm a fool i ran it at about half mass as as to where i was running it when we finished off with a really wet corn our stuff is set that when it hits a certain voltage it goes into alarm so the pit through an alarm and because it was a different reason last time i shut the leg off too quick and i should have run the leg so it would run empty but i tried to do that on the last the last time i did this and i made things worse so that's what the problem was uh it was just too full and then it just backlogged the leg so what happens is i should have just shut the pit down let the leg run empty and then it would have cleared itself i'm learning a lot this year and i have like tears right here but i'm trying to keep it together i hate screwing up i know you would never know that from all the stuff that i post but i actually really hate screwing up come on hi wanna go home [Music] [Music] [Music] so the rule is if you do the crime you do the time so i made the mess and it's just me i have to clean it up because it bugs me and the last time this happened mark actually cleaned the mess from the top so he had to climb the 115 feet and i got to stay on the ground so i would say i got the better end of the deal so that's called hiding the evidence i have to say we have uh we've had some pretty miserable weather the last month and a half or so and today is one of those days you wish you had a month of it's sunny and cool and no wind it's just a perfect fall day and yeah we got everything's full the weapon's full wagons are full so we are gonna put stuff away mark we're supposed to get another inch of rain tomorrow so i think what's going to happen is mark will probably just take the day tomorrow and take his time and dry the corn that's uh that's in that weapon it was nice to have jack today for a little bit i haven't seen him in a while a month maybe more i've lost kind of all track of time what are you doing are you coming out with me [Music] what are you doing [Music] well i see the problem it's yucky over there isn't it did we convince you to come yes we did [Applause] [Music] ones we vaccinated on friday but i didn't have time to run them through to hoof trim them and vaccinations a lot more important because these guys were hoof trimmed not that long ago maybe trying to think when five weeks ago maybe so they barely needed done they're in really good shape but if i don't get if i don't get out of them now they're going to lay them here in december and i won't see them again until after they get weaned so it's just that would stretch that period out too long and then of course they get too long again so it's one of those things they barely needed done but i'd rather do them at this stage and be well ahead of the game then too late later if that makes any sense so we will attempt to get at these ones uh throughout the week it's they're calm for another like inch or more of rain today we've already had half an inch so i'm sure i will have time i have a doctor's appointment later this morning and then i'd love to go see a new little baby in our lives i've been in here a few times just making sure these breeding groups are still doing what they're supposed to do and uh this morning they've been busy it's very distracting when i'm trying to work prince harry goodness what is megan thinking about that a little stead what are you guys doing just walking all over her hi cinnamon have you been busy i'd love for you and that one to get together yeah listen guys she's not interested honestly oh you margie what are you saying goodness gracious so one of the first thing i was taught in my first breeding group was never have just two rams in a group because what can happen is you can have a bully and any time a ram goes to breed uh they could then just end up fighting and then you won't have any any getting bred so in this group i had the two tunises and every time those two nurses are busy this morning i see them up all the time every time one starts to know lucky comes over and rams them off so i'm glad i have the three i've been watching them and uh edward will distract and while he's distracting prince harry does his business it's quite funny i'll see if i can get it on camera you might need to come out lucky big bully think about it already prince harry's like i'm moving on a lot of fish in the sea eh harry sure is we are at uh the new daddies chair is chore boy i'm baby you're belco you're bb cattle account you should take over her account that would be funny and you can't do anything because she is housebound she's on house arrest she can't that's true we uh i just was checking their new barn they renovated their old barn and they got some new you lambs from nathan in manitoba and i told jer that this was the best sound in the world and you said what and i'm like nothing sheep are eating all right should we go see uh they're just manitobans they're a little slow they're a little slow they're quiet um can i can i go see your child now yeah let's do that okay don't spit out over i made this you made that she's perfect say hi to the world hi baby girl mommy did good out oh oh she's like i want more [Laughter] how are we doing mama we're good now that we're home i already want another one oh god she would have just done twins i remember saying that once i won another one i said it once jimmy said wouldn't it be funny if sandy and mark got pregnant oh that'd be so funny i'll be sure to ask mark do you even have another baby laugh it up look at her out so oh now we're flooded apparently my settings are not good enough i might get mark to look at that i've got a whole bunch of settings here i still have to figure out how to use but in in a pinch i can easily everything's labeled here so i just close those north curtains there's just there's this toggle switch so i was able to just close them up manually i put the setpoint up to eight degrees actually and it's seven in here right now but you would never know it it's cold because it's damp and rainy and gross so i'll leave it at eight degrees for a few days i want to see if that will help maybe dry up the barn a bit the barn is just super damp and um we'll see we'll see how that goes mark helped me with my uh programmer this afternoon so i think we got it figured out the barn is nice and snug right now um i want to tell you that belinda and jeremy had a good laugh and they thought it would be very funny if we had another baby no way i would give myself a vasectomy with a rusty knife before we have another kid oh i love my two kids dearly we are too old i'm not even sure all the plumbing works i'm done these these pipes are clogged this hotel is closed [Music] you
