Tier Ranking Iconic YA Ships.

hey guys what's up it's momo and today i'm going to be tear ranking iconic ya couples [Music] so not gonna lie when i first saw these videos going around i thought they looked like the most boring thing ever but then i got really addicted to watching them and now here i am so i thought i would jump on the trend today and rank some iconic y.a couples before we get into this video this is obviously a very light-hearted silly video so don't take offense if i absolutely drag your favorite why a ship we're just doing that today i have six categories today the first one which is like the god tier is would die for them the second highest category that i have is great underneath that i have simps but still cute then i have who would rather not and pure trash let's get into it all right so first on my list i have emma carr stairs and julian blackthorne from the dark artifices series by cassandra clare if you've been watching my channel for long enough you know that i'm not the biggest fan of this pairing i don't know what it is about the characterization that just doesn't sit well with me but i've just never related to them i have received so many hateful comments about this over the years but i still think julian blackthorne is the creepiest dude ever back when i was reviewing lord of shadows i was convinced that julian was going to end up being the central villain in the final book and i'm still so disappointed that he wasn't i did like the dark artifices trilogy overall but i think a lot of what wrecked it for me was these two main characters because i just couldn't invest myself in them like do we remember when julian revealed a whole painting studio just with portraits of emma next up i have katniss and peter from the hunger games and they got put in the sims but still cute category okay so obviously katniss is not a simp by any means but peter is number one simp this is our man's that boy would die for katniss i always find it really sad that peter has all of these brothers and none of them volunteer for him at the reaping katniss is like throwing herself at that stage to protect prim and peter's brothers are just like praying for you bro next up i have mattias and nina from the six of crows duology i love the six of crows duology so much and i love all of the couples in it so much i feel like that can sometimes really make or break a series for me is if the romances are believable and if i enjoy them it changes the whole series for me i just think these two characters were such a good balance for one another nina is very loud and confident and flirtatious and mattias is very honorable and reserved and quite quiet i just love that for them next up i have tessa gray and will herondale from the infernal devices series i think i put gem in here as well surely he's in here somewhere i don't know if i did gem is god tear so i absolutely love will and tessa together i love her relationship with will i love her relationship with gem and i think they're both equally important to tessa and the overall story that being said i am still team gem all the way i love will i love him and tessa together i love that he's the one to rescue her and he's just wonderful but just in my personal opinion he's not gem which is why he's in the great tier hazel and gus from the falden are stars they are definitely a simps but still cute category i mean they are 16 year olds and they do talk like middle aged adults but we're going to ignore that i just love this pairing so much i still watch or read the fold in our stars and it still brings a tear to my eye next up i have jesper and wylin from six of crows i love both of their characters so much and i was so excited when they were kind of magnetically attracted to one another in this duology like the first time i saw it i was like this is it this is what i've been searching for next up i have tamlin and feyre from a court of what is it thorns and roses tamlin is pure trash if you are still shipping tamlin and feyre in the year 2020 where have you been i'm not gonna lie in book one of that trilogy tamlin really had me fooled i was a hard tamlinshipper i could never understand resand but honestly tamlin was just so controlling and manipulative and he has everything that we don't stand in a toxic ex-boyfriend or and tris from the divergent series this is definitely a who in my books i mean if you asked 13 year old me i'm sure i could tell you about how much i loved this but now i never think about them i don't care for them they don't cross my mind i kind of like them together like i don't dislike them together i just don't think that their coupling really serves the story at all do you know what i mean like they could have been really good friends and it probably wouldn't have changed too much kai and cinder from the lunar chronicles series i really loved their relationship but it's something that definitely doesn't cross my mind as particularly outstanding now their relationship definitely wasn't a priority in this series there are other couples that i definitely think of more when i think of the lunar chronicles so i'm going to put them in the who category next up i have clarion jace from the mortal instruments would die for them they have to be one of my all-time favorite ships the mortal instruments is one of my all-time favorite series and i can definitely now recognize some of its flaws the infernal devices is definitely of a higher tier for me personally but the mortal instrument still takes the cake from my favorite characters and clary and jace just hit the nail on the head for me i also decided to put clary and jace in here again with the shadowhunters tv version and they have been popped straight in pure trash that show i can't believe it got as many seasons as it did i have unfortunately seen every single episode because i used to hate watch it with one of my best friends i mean did you ever see sebastian in that show or jonathan whatever they call him next up i have noah shaw and mara dyer from the undercoming of mario dyer this is another one of those paranormal y a series that i read when i was pretty young i actually re-read the mara dyer series last year i believe and i really enjoyed it still i thought the story was still super creepy i just still love the romance so much it's such a great paranormal romance and this is definitely one that i still recommend now noah sure is just so so wound-worthy i've said it before i'll say it again anna and the french kiss we have anna and etienne saint claire oh my gosh they are such sims next we have simon and baz from carry on these are my babies they are definitely would die for them tear i'm very stressed about where their relationship is at right now but i hope the final book is going to fix things up from our boys next up we have citra terra nova and rowan rowan something from the scythe trilogy there are would rather not so i love both of these two characters individually and i love this trilogy so much one of my all-time favorite trilogies but i thought that the romance in this trilogy was just completely unnecessary there was just no chemistry between these two characters and i feel like it didn't contribute anything to the story at all next up i have magnus and alex from the mortal instruments i think magnus and alec are just such a great pairing for one another we have magnus's confidence and his flamboyance his caring and compassion for everyone around him we have alex steadfastness and his loyalty and his bravery next up i have bella and edward from twilight they're not simps i mean they are sims but i don't think they're cute and i can't say who because honestly i do think about them quite a lot and i can't even say would rather not because honestly what is twilight without this couple fine they get sense but still cute oh bella and edward they're just so ridiculous but they're also so entertaining that should have been another category that i put on here is just entertaining next up i have hermione granger and ron weasley they go in the who category for me i definitely don't think that hermione should have ended up with harry i've never supported that and i do like that hermione and ron are together but again it's another thing that i feel like we could have done without in the series once again i feel like their relationship didn't really contribute too much the series it definitely did contribute a little bit of dimension to the series and i did enjoy that and i did like how they were kind of maturing and we had that story line with lavender but i don't think about them a lot and i don't think about them as a couple a lot next up i have damon and what's her name katie from the lux series they're pure trash except like they're pure trash in the best way which once again should have been a different category so if you don't remember the lux series it was huge on booktube a while ago and it was this paranormal alien series i listed it as one of my all-time favorite series when i was like 15. looking back um would probably take that one out i did re-read half of the first book recently my god it's terrible it's so bad but if you're looking for trashy why a romance this is this is the series for you i think this is warner and um what's her face from shatter me the fact that i can't even recognize their fan art says a lot again this is another series that i haven't read for a long time i do remember really liking warner next up i have kaz and anez from six of crows this is another would die for them honestly almost everything that comes out of the six of crows duology i would die for kaz himself has got to be one of my all-time favorite male characters and i love anez so much i often think about the incinerator shaft and how she like spidered her way up there next up i have aylin and rowan from the throne of glass series they are uh simps but still cute i know a lot of people love rowan i do really like rowan he's just not my favorite male character in that series i think him and alan are kind of perfect for one another then we have manon and dorian from throne of glass and they are would die for them i just love it i love the kind of bdsm dimension that they have to their relationship i think that was pretty nuanced to include in y literature because honestly we don't get a lot of it manon became one of my favorite characters from that series and dorian has been my favorite from book one so i just loved that they ended up together and honestly i never would have seen it coming in the very beginning of the series next up we have jacob and renesme from the twilight series i think they're a would rather not i'm sure they're pure trash but we didn't really get enough screen time get enough book time to see that i think it's still a little bit weird we have favorite and rice and from a court of mist and fury i think they're going to go in great for me rysand is one of my favorite male characters but feyre isn't i do really like her characterization but i just think she gets a lot towards the end of the trilogy they're just that couple you know next we have levi and kath from fangirl that is a definite simps but still cute i love them so much i love levi i love their little tentative romance it's just so beautiful so next up we have what's his face i can't remember his name but he's neville longbottom in me before you and um what's her name louisa do you remember this guy he just sucks i remember him at that dinner party at her birthday dinner party getting her a necklace that set his own name that was not a man next we have katniss and gail from the hunger games they are another pure trash moment it actually shocked me to find out that there was a whole gale team i never thought there was ever really the option i thought everyone was team peter i mean he's a great guy he does a lot for katniss he does a lot for his family and her family but he's just so boring where is the lust where is the drama next we have margot and quentin from paper towns they are would rather not oh i just hate how we play into the whole manic pixie dream girl trope in this book next up we have persibeth which is percy and annabeth from percy jackson they are great no they are would die for them i spent years of my life waiting for these two to get together ten-year-old me was like when are they gonna start dating when are they gonna kiss it's gonna be amazing and you know rick riordan really made us work for it we really had to wait for this couple to happen and i was so happy when it did next up we have rose and dimitri from vampire academy they are total simps next up we have aaron and juliet that is her name juliet this is another pure trash moment i can't remember why i don't like aaron because it's been so long since i've read that trilogy trilogy isn't it like a five book series now sometimes we need to know when to stop i can't remember why i don't like them but there is a strong feeling in here that i don't like that coupling so they're going in pure trash next up i have nymphadora tonks and professor lupin from harry potter they are going in great for me we have harry and ginny from harry potter obviously we love harry and ginny in the books and then harry and jenny in the movies are so bland so vanilla honestly i'll put them in the who category laura jean and peter kavinsky from two older boys i've loved before they are absolute simps i didn't love the book so much i only read the first book in this trilogy a while back and it didn't really draw me in but i absolutely love the two movies next up we have a thomas and teresa from the maze runner trilogy wow i haven't thought about them in a long time i'd rather not i hated teresa so much and i was so glad we just she's just so boring and bland to me i mean so is thomas but like kind of in a good way and also in the films he was played by dylan o'brien which did his character a great service next i have captain thorne and cress from the lunar chronicles they're probably simps to be honest i just love captain thorne so much he's hilarious and i thought he was just such a great addition to the series and then finally we have bella and jacob from twilight and they are unfortunately would rather not for a long time i was a solid jacob supporter i don't really know why i think it was just because of the taylor lautner plus abs situation but now i am completely all in favor of edward cullen so i
