Throw and Grow Food Plot!!

[Music] that was just in her paws and whatnot we're just throwing grow all right we're gonna do a little food plot out here at our little scruffy that we just recently got I've never used this stuff but I've heard about it it's a no-till kind of formula but it's got rye grass clovers Brassica I'm pretty sure it's got triticale in it too but you can plant in the fall and the spring ready a fall plant obviously since its September it's gonna be a kind of a light plant but I want to see you at this cut what this stuff does I've heard good things about it planting it and stuff like this where it's really would it I think it'll be pretty good so if we're gonna use this fight probably do like half an acre food plot and then we'll use a spreader I'm gonna go out right now I'm Boosh hogging a little bit of it try and get the thicker stuff down and then I'm gonna rake it just rake it up a little bit and then we'll play it so we'll see you guys what are you out there [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] rush straight up attach I'm not gonna tell it just gonna see out near this notes no for real actions were krispies the brush straight clear stop but I have run a fair bunch of stuff this cross that my house to get the plant cell [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] all right now that we got everything kinda raked up it looks good I don't know if you can see lip on the video but that rake actually put a good seat base down and the soil is pretty good right now it's not too wet it's not too dry so I'm gonna mix this seed up I'm not gonna put any fertilizer in with it I'm gonna do overcast Spray up fertilizer afterwards and usually you can just tell what fertilizer you need depending on your area of your soil type and they don't shut you down here too if you want to use it but we're gonna put some see in this spreader and get to spreading move yet yet right get out of here Bob my goodness all right well I just got done planning I use that broadcast seed spreader but if you look here there's there's this little plot that I made and then there's this connecting plot which we can walk down this will connect it to a second one that I got down here and I'm not your father if I like how I did this just because once I started doing it I was thinking like what if the deer coming over here and I'm sitting over here it's like I guess I could put two stands or two blinds in two different spots but this is the other field that I'd heard not feel but slot that I did since since ducks out right now for us here I figured I'd try and do some productive and I went ahead and made a couple plots here for deer season I killed a nice buck here last year and I've got good good pictures of other bucks Gracie actually it was just chasing a deer out of here but yeah this is this what we got I'd say it's probably like I don't know 1/8 to 1/4 of a nature that we've got planted I think it'll do pretty good that stuff retails for like 13 to 15 bucks I got a tractor supply so you can get it either there I've seen I think I've seen it at Walmart but I'm curious to see how it's gonna do this year I've never used that kind of stuff and it's more of like a want to say it's like kind of like a challenge for myself to see if this stuff will actually grow I mean it looks good in the ground that rake actually did a really good job of telling it up without tearing the soil up too much because I did also want to knock till the ground too much just to see if it actually worked if the no-till formula is what they say if it actually worked or not it's kind of late to plan as I said you really don't want to plant this late in the year just because I'm sure we're gonna have a frost here in the next month or so and I don't want it to kill these seeds these seeds aren't really too low in the seed bed so I don't want them to die that quick my third if you read like if you guys are new to a or want to do a plot if you read the back of that stuff or even look online there's so many forums and chats that'll show you how to plant this seed but on the back it says you can do like a fall or spring plant and if you're doing the fall it just depends on your area the soil again with the temperature outside and whatnot but I think this is gonna be a pretty good spot I'm gonna set some stuff up like blinds and three stand wise I don't know if what I'm gonna go with is this pretty dense hardwood I mean there's not much place for a good tree stand to be but I have had a blind up here in the past and it's funny because I'll be hunting and I let my chickens out and my chickens will start pecking the side of my blind that when the deer even feeding out front so they really don't mind the chickens or the equipment that's around here but we're gonna get this stuff packed up and then I head home see if we can't get some dinner on us so thanks guys for watching and I hope you enjoyed
