this is gonna be either a disaster or it's gonna work perfect all right next we're gonna move mischief maker over closer to our pro spot so that we can get this rocker and b-pillar and dog leg all spot welded on so me and cody we're gonna get the rock sliders out there get them unpackaged see what we're up against i'm getting those put on holy crap so what happens when this is made in the usa are heavy these look good me and cody are gonna work on the sides we're gonna have dinner disassemble both fenders get these things ready to where we can paint them these rocker panels have been smashed they're smashed up it's hard to see because it's dark i've got to figure out how to fix that before we can weld it so i'm just going to lay here and figure that out all right so what we've decided there's just too big of a gap here we've got to put this sucker on the frame rack we're going to use the tower and put our mow clamp up on here and we're going to pull it down and beat it out and get all this to fit correctly a lot more than we planned hopefully we can have it done by easter jeep safari i guess we'll see holly i got the chief emblem off i'm going to take the eraser wheel to it and dinner i talked to holly okay and she said to leave this okay but remove the chiefs and the kids remove the kmc's and then leave the bf goodrich because bfgoodrich tires are the best so she's not gonna so we'll leave them they are the best is that the wheels this is that is the wheels they're beautiful huh they're very very really good way beautiful so i got that off i just got to take the eraser wheel to it and clean it up and then i got to get this off so we can paint it so i'm taping out like a template for the chief so i can know when i go after it's painted i can know where it goes and put it right back where it was so what we'll do is we'll just take this tape six and a quarter three lines i don't know what that would be it's not a quarter but it's not half a third so it'd be a third i would just put three lines three lines on side [Music] look at that laser focus [Music] dinner knows exactly what he's doing focused the eraser wheel's just ripping the paint off i can dig it off with my finger now it's a good thing holly's having us fix it we'll make mischief maker better i'm surprised it didn't come off when i used to scrape the letters off so i got my little cameraman in training tonight what's up what's your name riker i'm turning 10 in april on april the riker's going to be filming for me tonight what we're doing is we're going to throw this mo clamp up on here this whole rocker is smashed up so we're gonna unsmash it we're gonna pull it straight down to where we can get the outer skin to fit correctly see all this is smashed right here so we're gonna pound that down and pull it here so what i'm doing is i'm gonna use my chain along rather than bringing my tower around it's just quicker i'm just doing a straight down pull so what i'm gonna do is get pressured where the blocks are tight and then right here i'm gonna walk this out okay so i'm gonna get pressure and then i'm gonna give a little tap tappy little tap taparoo let me get a bigger bigger talker in or too just gotta persuade it but it's coming out that's back where we want it so i'm going to let off and reposition get myself a new down pole just like that now disassemble it all i got the biggest half inch ratchet i could find it's like a 10-footer if you got it you might as well use it you don't need a 10 foot ratchet but it helps it does help okay so now i'm going to move to the back of the b pillar right here because this is all smashed and what i want to do this is where my damage is at but this is double reinforced so if i start to pull on this it's not going to move my reinforcement so that's where i want the majority of my down pull from look now the whole sign up just to do i'm going to reposition my tighten it up okay now you'll see right here as i pull all this is gonna walk out watch that [Music] okay so now it's starting to pull my clamp so i'm gonna use my hammer and release some pressure right here tighten that up okay i'm gonna hit right here [Music] now i'm going to reposition over to here because now i feel like this is pulled good enough let me just do some relieving in here [Music] okay now i can hit this [Music] so i'm trying to get the front door fit this whole pillar moves i've got it to where it'll open and close i'm gonna roll the lower hinge in try to get some flushness out of this thing so we're only going to go a tiny bit [Music] go in a tiny bit all right so now if i push the pillar in with my head it all fits we finally got this door opening and closing right where we want it we've got a good gap all the way around we got this clamped up where it needs to be after 550 attempts we got it adjusted look at that so we're gonna move on to the back we're getting the hinges put on [Applause] dinner's grabbing the door we're gonna get it hung dinner's got a brand new door straight from jeep i got the latch assemblies and i got the hinges so i just got to figure out which side is which and then we'll get them bolted inside the door this is a factory half door kit from jeep that must be wrong that one's wrong they gave us the wrong hinges and it came in the factory jeep kit all wrong this must have been packaged on a friday they sent us two sets of the right rear hinges so we'll take hinges off the old door i believe this is our latch that's the one we're gonna use since we got sent the wrong ones i gotta pull these hinges off this rear door to put onto the new rear door all right well he's pulling the hinges i'm just putting the latch assembly in try to tag team this we can get this door fit up okay so all these hinges are loose so we're just loose fitting this and it is off by a mile by mile barely pull out all right so we've just about got this back door all adjusted then we're gonna fit the dog leg what's the dog leg it's this do you know why it's a dog leg it looks like a dog's leg that's fine so this side is fed up hey it's looking like a jeep again now that we've got the back door fit we're going to readjust the front it don't line up here we want it to come all the way through see how that's down actually got a gap here now i think that's better down here i think holly'll appreciate that it looks good what do you guys think waste a bunch of time adjusting this or a good thing we adjusted it i like good gaps i think it looks good thanks riker okay so we're gonna fit the fender now to make sure it's nice and right this is coming together nicely real real nice got the fender that we're gonna put on and line up the fender to the door okay so we finally got this all adjusted door's not popping anymore got the fender fit up got a nice gap got it all fit and flush next step is tear it all back apart and weld it zip zip zip zip zip just like that zip zip zip zip i don't know how we're ever gonna have this done by easter jeep safari all right we've got this all torn apart again because that's what you do you take things apart put it together like 150 times i've got everything welter primed right here what i'm going to do is do this all in sections so i'm going to put the front rocker back on i'm going to fit the door back up then we're going to weld it get it in position then we're going to pull this pillar off get this pillar all set so that it can set to everything so all the gaps stay correct that way we don't have to tear it all apart put it all back on screw something up we'll just do it right and then once i get this put in and welded this pillow's coming off i have to do some surgery to get this pillar attached to the cage because the threads have been pulled out so we're going to make a window on the backside put a nut in there make the bolt work where that pillar stays tight to the cage because right now we've got it ratchet strapped i forgot my safety glasses let me hurry and put them on you got yours on dinner uh-huh am i looking at me yeah okay [Music] take them off finally we're gonna get that just kind of rough clamped just kind of holding there i'm gonna go grab the door we're gonna put the door back on and fit this through the door again oh what [Music] it's me mario isn't he mario that's your home okay good it went right here you see how this gap is not correct it's not bad it's not great me and dinner had to do some big dinnering with this mussels we got it fitting up here to where we can weld it in gonna pop this door off i'm gonna mig weld my seam right here then we're gonna spot weld it the reason we're to start with the mig weld is so that we can make this piece one and then our ground will work to go through the front and back and make a resistant style spot weld fancy a few little spot welds to get it to hold and then i'll let it cool and i'll go back and finish welding it in i'll quench it with my air a little tap tappy so i'm not welding through here because i've got a little bit it's not quite even so i'm going to tap this in that's what i want i want to weld this first and weld this so that when i move it only right here move the reason for that is this was all beat in so i just want to try to get it to match the best i can it's a rock crawler mischief maker's a good old boy all right got it all welded check that out so that welded pretty good the key to it take your time prepping it that had a little bit of a bigger gap than i like but we had a backing plate in there so it welded up really solid i've just got a little bit of grinding to do to get it flat a little bit of all metal on there and that's the only spot that's gonna get repair in this section it's gonna look good yeah that's what i like to hear okay i like it picasso i'll guess who's back today yeah hillbilly's back one of you viewers thought he was going to a job interview he came back he finally got released from the dock ah hillbilly you didn't go get a new job nope took him a second to respond i wouldn't believe it oh maybe he did were you even sick i think interview didn't go well i don't know we've got the pro spot all calibrated get up in here and get some spot welds going on the bottom side we got to do an arm change for the top so i'm just going to start with the bottom hillbilly's going to help me hillbilly that still works here he's real talkative today assume the position ready yeah there we go half pass just straight forward oh that would hurt so bad i think that'd be gauging and not just piercing it okay hillbilly's on probation now yes failed no dude as fast as pass he can get whoa we're not trying to roast marshmallows okay let's try again safety we use safety precautions second around here ppe you know what that stands for protective there's no protective equipment yeah yes we're just doing so good i only know because i was on the fire department oh he was a fireman they're very strict on the ppe oh yeah because you'll die last one for this section now we're going to change the attachment and do the top so now we're going to do up here we're going to get this section done and then we're taking the b pillar off if you would if you just watched the video you'll understand a couple of days down the road so i can't see all right we're gonna make a head change and then we're gonna do the top side so this is gonna go here ready spaghetti pow you like that magic now we're gonna calibrate it hit calibrate all right safety glasses dinner glasses engaged okay let's see if we got any grounds here got it oh yeah [Music] look at that like butter you know we're just spot welding away pot welding the wig little poop of smoke look how pretty those are oh two more okay there's no more spot welds from here all the way to there yeah i like it i like it a lot do you like the way spot welds look i sure do let us know it looks factory now we're gonna hang the dough a resistant style spot well it goes like this and it fights each other and then go i'm gonna drop hillbilly's snap-on wrench down inside this pillar it's only snap-on wrench i got cause snap-on quick coming around i'm gonna try to stick the welder all the way down inside this pipe and weld the nut on the inside that way holly ever needs to get it out she can get it out i don't know how well this is gonna work but i'll do my best hey it's tight that's what matters this was stripped out [Music] it's holding strong can i need the welder and try to stick the welder down in there now this is gonna be either a disaster or it's gonna work perfect you can see the nut we're putting a nut in the backside so this pillar stays tight to the cage you're welcome holly okay put it at 4.5 and 55. doesn't look great let's see if it'll loosen or if i just ruined it as well do you want it to come undone no i'm gonna try to weld it but i moved it to where i can actually try to weld it a little better [Music] sounds like a weld but it ain't [Music] i think it worked it worked we'll put a little bit more weld on for good luck we're going to weld to prime this get this pillow ready to go on definitely don't want to paint the cage i would call that bad news bears what are those there goes all my pistachios your what pistachios his surpassion [Music] so we're grinding this all out because i'm going to cut this cap off and put it on the new pillar [Music] [Applause] i've got that top cut off just going to get it all ground down we can reuse it [Applause] hold it right there hold it hold it this must be osha approved most definitely so when is uh egs next weekend oh yeah what do you think i'm panicking a lot to do all right time to fit this up again now we're gonna cap it but we gotta make sure it's in the right spot okay so we've got this where we want it we've got it to where we can cap it it's going to be right in line with this we'll weld it all up and then we'll put this pillar on [Music] all welded up now all we got to do next grind it oh this is ready to weld i don't think it needs to even come off yeah we'll just let that cool down for a minute we'll grind it up nice make sure it's looking good nice got this center pillar all pulled off robbie one second one second you got some you got some mail oh i don't know what they are hill bilamis you got some fan mail damn you got something too i opened it sorry i had to make sure it was dope so you awesome viewers sent us some stuff this one says late in auto body nation we heard in a recent video that y'all were out of twizzler nibs what we can't have the crew working late nights without some power pellets to keep them motivated and fueled up from pnw rc on youtube thank you so we can't call it num nums no more they're called power pellets look at that thank you we have power pellets for a week for a day the power piles for a day what the heck is that well that is freaking cool check that out it's got a base you got her name right the boss this is from carpenter's wood shop thank you very much that is so cool look at that you miss demery the boss big boss thank you so much it's awesome happy birthday don't know who it's from but it ain't for me it's happy birthday hillbilly this is because you seemed like you wanted a nice locked blade hope it fits them monkey hands from jeremiah lap lap or lake lake l-a-p-e if we butchered it let us know sorry about that kershaw that is a knife wow that's a nice knife thank you got power pallets for the rest of the night thank you jeremiah lake very much for the knife i use them all the time we're working on this center pillar now that's a good one [Music] okay last one on this side i went through four layers right in the striker plate get this seam welded and then spot weld the rest of it oh this is a workout yeah all those done they all look fat tree [Music] we're gonna grind some weld fresh belt [Music] time to pull the door back off all right it's getting pretty late we're hungry dinner went and got us some dinner daniel got dinner look at that dinner got us pizza thanks there oh i'm enjoying hanging out with my son should i go back to work lincoln no daddy no i'm getting so big got the front one all ground up this one's about halfway ground now i just need to come through and clean this all up i'm going to square this off i like to make all my welds where my metal comes together make them look like it's not welded so if you come in here and check this out weld that up grind it so it doesn't look like there's a seam there got the back seam all ground everything's looking good i'm gonna add two spot welds up in here i decided i'm gonna put one here and one right above it just for precautionary because right here is where this can flex and things can move a little so we're gonna do that and then we're gonna get the big arm real quick we're gonna spot weld this b pillar the inside so that's what we're gonna do next i i say she's just about ready for easter jeep safari all right now for the fun the big arm [Music] look at that we're getting it we didn't even have to pull the cage nice nice back all the way out it's like a little turtle just retracts into a shell boom look at that whoa fell look at that as factory as can be i think holly's gonna be happy we didn't have to pull the cage whether we pull her cage or not she better be happy dinner remember when we told her that we were oh yeah she was like oh oh gage is coming out cage has to come out oh oh that's take a minute breathe yeah she was not thrilled when we told her that cage was coming out so we've got a lot accomplished check this out we got this new rocker all put in sectioned we got a b-pillar look at those factory spot welds wow that's looking good got the back door fitting fitting perfect got our dog leg all seamed in welded ground look at that we got our factory spot welds here factory spot welds here this thing's done all we got to do is a little bit of skin work on it primer prep this sucker paint it we're not sure if we're going to make the easter jeep safari sorry holly we're doing the best we can but with all the frame damage you have on this thing what do you guys think we're what two days away yeah we still got like three months worth of work left exactly you finally decided to come back to work that was nice geez you're welcome thank you so we got a ton of stuff to do we're gonna do our best we're gonna see if we can make our deadline like two days one door two door done i think she should just crawl it this way what do you guys think should we just not even paint it put all the armor back on it let holly go rock climb with this sucker i kind of like the two-tone black and blue so it's not two-tone it's three-toned shiny dull and shiny throw some clear over it it's not even clear let's just put it back together all right so we got a lot of stuff done we have a lot of stuff to do but if you guys like this episode go check out last week's
